The pharmacist there at 330 Main Street nearly killed me by refilling my medication Robinul bottle and putting heart medication in it! A medication that is made for tachycardia. 5mg tablets. I have tachycardia, my heart was beating at 176 per minute vs between the normal 60's to 80's range. I have heart medication at home that is not what this man gave me. It's different. I take 10mg of my med. the robinul I take 2 pills 2 times a day. Had I not questioned the difference in the robinul I'm used to compared to the pills in the bottle I picked up, I would've taken 4 of these pills in 1 day plus my own heart medication, totaling 30mg of medication made to slow down your heart rate. When I called him to question the difference, he said sometimes the manufacturer changes the pills and asked if the bottle description of the pills said K/401, I said yes. He said then u have the right pills. He never asked if the pill itself said K/401. I then picked a pill up from the inside of the bottle and read 5 numbers off to him, I told him the pills don't say K/401, they gave the following 5 numbers on it. He says but u told me it said k/401. I said he asked if the bottle description said k/401, not the pills and that I'm telling him what the pills say. He argued with me, I hung up on him and drove to the pharmacy, showed him the difference in the few robinul pills I had at home, which say K/401 compared to the tiny pills he gave me that don't and have a different set of numbers on it. He still argued with me that I had agreed with him that I had K/401 pills. I never did I had only agreed that the bottle description said that!! I finally yelled at him it doesn't matter anymore and what matters is the damn pills don't match! I said I want to know what u gave me. He said he can't read the numbers on the pills it's too small. I can read them I said, I read the numbers to him and made him tell me what it was because I wasn't leaving until I knew. He gave me flecainide, the heart med for tachycardia. And all he said was I apologize. I still haven't heard from his supervisor and it's been 2 days. I'm not letting this go, what if I had picked up my Robinul for the very first time and didn't look at the description because let's be honest, how many of us think to do so? What if it was an elderly person or anyone who would've accepted the explanation that manufacturers change pills? Another time I brought home 3 Meds, 1 didn't even belong to me, had all my info on it. Dr wasn't mine, script I never heard of! Another one, trazadone which I take for sleep because I have insomnia since my brother died, I picked up one bottle of trazadone that was correct dose and purpose, another was my topamax 50 mg to prevent migraines, then I find another bottle of trazadone that was 50 mg and said it was for migraines! Trazadone is not used for that, ever. It'll knock u out. It doesn't treat or prevent migraines. He accused my doctor of saying that's what she wanted me to take. She was livid and called him right up. Don't use this pharmacy and if u do, check every medication u pick up!!!! read more
