I was unaware the fish counter closed at 7. It was about 7:25 and the woman was still working in…read morethe department. I asked for 2 pieces of salmon and was met with the biggest attitude of the quarter. She nastily replied "don't make a habit of this, our hours changed and we close early." I said don't worry about it no habit to form and left. She then pleaded to have me come back bit now I will not do anymore shopping here. I can't wait for the automated robots to replace these 'wonderful people.

Meat department is excellent and well run. Didn't have time to go to Big Y. No ribeyes in the case and no butcher. I was told by the young man he leaves at 2 pm. Regardless the meat case is disgusting. Meat obviously turning color. Not many choices. One advertised as a porterhouse HAD NO FILET! I've lived here for four years and this is still by far the worst grocery meat department in the area. Their flower department is the only bright spot. Big Y always accommodating and they have Prime and Choice. I always order for my bigger events and smoke competitions from them custom cuts. No up charges and always well done. ShopRite you need a total gut job on your meat department. This is coming from a professional chef and Pitt master.

They have their own wine and liquor store, plus a grab-and-go, buffet-style area with fresh, hot food. There is also an ice cream station with cotton candy and strawberry soft-serve, which is delicious. I especially love the cone cups because if the ice cream melts, it doesn't drip all over you. One of my favorite parts is the selection of pre-prepped meals you can take home and throw right in the oven, like Chicken Cordon Bleu and stuffed chicken with spinach and artichoke, along with many other options. It makes dinner so much easier. The only downside was that the avocados all seemed very overripe, so those probably aren't the best thing to buy here. Other than that, the store is well stocked and easy to shop in. I also really appreciate that they have real checkout counters instead of only self-checkout. The employees are friendly, helpful, and the service is good. Prices run a little on the higher side, but if you look around, you can definitely find some decent deals. Overall, it's a convenient and enjoyable place to shop, especially for the pre-made meals and family-friendly atmosphere.

I wasn't mentally prepared for what happened next, but it was entertaining. When you first walk in, you get the full bombardment of sights and smells. Like a mix of a fairgrounds and a convenience store. Then all the displays and aisle lead to a zig zag path with no nice way to circumvent. You have to follow the path, and along each bend is the grocery's brand of products. Dotted along the path are a number of animatronics. Singing and dancing fruits, veggies, and animals greet you with a cavalcade of noise and motion. None of them annoying, but it's something you need to adjust to as you go about your supply run. Eventually got to the meat section, and the quality and price were fairly reasonable compared to competitors. They have large pieces of meat that the butcher can clean up and cut into whatever thickness you like. Pricing of the other groceries varies, and the selection is usually limited to a few options. But the quality of the staples makes it a worthwhile trek. The staff at the time I went was not very present, but the cashier was friendly. It's not a constant stop, but one that I would go to for the freezer restock. For those who have not tried them, expect rainforest cafe or bugaboo creek and prepare for a walk.
