This place is ok if you can't find a rite aid. I personally try to avoid this and any CVS as they closed my favorite Barnes and Nobles. Avoid coming here at all costs! Even if you have to drive another couple of miles to utilize another store, do yourself a favor and make the extra commute. The staff couldn't be ruder if they tried. I had called in a prescription and they said they would have it ready within the hour and would even text me when it was done. 60+ minutes later, I called just to check in since I was going to be driving by the area, and the most antagonistic associate picked up the phone. She was very short with me and said it would be another hour before she quickly hung up without even a goodbye; much less a pleasant "Is there anything else I can help you with?" 30 seconds later, a text popped up saying my prescription WAS in fact ready. I thought the conflicting information was strange, but decided to just be glad for the news. When I arrived, they didn't have my prescription ready at all and I had to wait another 15 minutes while they put my stuff together. I usually try not to buy into the negative reviews of an establishment too much since each person's individual experiences can differ, but I think in this case, they deserve every disparaging comment. Really unhappy with this Pharmacy I can't believe that I went at 11 p.m. Ted was the one that helped me or really not help me I took my son to the Tarzana Hospital because he was not feeling well so the doctor gave me a prescription so I'm like okay I'm getting off the hospital with my son I should go to the CVS 24 hours there's no one there got to the front gave Ted the prescription decided to ask Ted how long would it take for me to get the medication he's like at least an hour an hour that's crazy there's no one there so I decided to get back my son's prescription decided to go to Walgreens 24 hours and they help me right away I asked them how long is it going to take me to get my medication there like I least 10 minutes so thank you CVS for nothing will not be going there again. read more

This review is only for the pharmacy. To be more particular, it is with my interaction with Andrea, the pharmacy technician that provided the best drug dropping off and picking up experience ever. She was patient- extremely informative and helped me save hundreds of dollars with her tips and advice on my meds for lasik eye surgery. Although there was a long line behind me that only formed when I got to the front, she still took her time to look for the best generic brand options and resources so that my eyes would properly heal. This place is a joke. I mean, it's completely fine if you don't mind standing in line for 20+ minutes while MULTIPLE employees laugh and hang out with each other. Today was the last straw, I had to ask for my prescription back because just dropping it off was taking over 30 minutes (and yes, I told them multiple times that I didn't need the prescription filled today, just sometime this week.) I've been using their pharmacy for the occasional need over the past few years, but now that I have a regular prescription, I just don't have that much time to waste every time I go into the store. I will be looking for a new pharmacy, and I would suggest the same to anyone possibly considering CVS. My friend "warned" me that if we go to CVS it's going to take at least an hour. My worse experience at a pharmacy was at this place multiple times! The lines are too long and they don't have enough staff. Also, onetime I was looking for a over the counter medication and I asked the pharmacist to help me. It was around 5 am and the place was empty... she came to help me and while I was asking her questions she just turned around and walked away. I was shocked!!! She didn't even want to help me for a minute. I HATE this CVS and have never had any problems and any other location. I've been using CVS for one specific prescription for the past 8 damn years and have never had a problem making sure I get the specific brand I want. The first time I had an issue with it 8 years ago (in a Texas location) they simply told me to request it once and they would have it on file as the brand I want and they would always reorder it for me. BUT FOR SOME REASON this location refuses to keep the brand I want on file. They said I had to have my doctor make a special request, I couldn't do it myself. SOOO I went and did they and yet they would constantly give me the name brand the next time I was in to pick up my medication. Their excuse was that the computer would go off the previous prescription ( the off brand) so I've asked them time and time and time again to make a note that I DO NOT want the off brand and would like the brand I've requested time and time again for months. Sometimes I get a pharmacist who is super nice and understanding and other times I get people who are fed up and rude and who could care less (generally the male manager....) They have officially lost me as a customer. 1. The parking lot and outside exterior is a dump. 2. No one works there. Like literally, no one works there. 3. Limited items, and those items are not in stock. 4. Overpriced!! Just went to Wallgreens (because CVS had nothing I needed) and the same exact item was $3 less! 5. Wallgreens has a normal coupon system where they just scan your card at the register and you get the sale. No printed receipts and downloading coupons. If I could rate this store with zero stars, I would, without hesitation. They are desperately understaffed. Try having your every experience being that: there are a minimum of 7 people ahead of you, and a wait of 15 minutes before you are next, and the assisted cashiers calling everyone behind you before you check out. When I was checking out it was the usual "do you have a cvs card" to which I tried my number, and another number. Both didn't work which is fine so I decided to sign up with my number. We tried in total 7 times with 2 sets of cards while I had to repeat my number out loud each time since the woman at the register couldn't hear well, to which my number didn't work. At this point there's a line of already 10+ people trying to check out and obviously I know they all have places to be, so I left without buying anything. It's ridiculous how many questions the terminal asks for a simple rewards card, and it can't even process my number, let alone I'm repeating my information over and over in-front of so many people. I've worked in retail before so I understand this happens, but at least provide a solution or something, don't make the customer repeat important info so many times and have the line larger than it needs to be. read more

This pharmacy is trash. It's always severely understaffed, and the staff that is there, with very few exceptions, are rude and abrasive. Today, I waited 20 minutes in line for a prescription that was supposed to be available, but when I got there, my insurance, which they had used on prescriptions was no longer connected to my profile. So, I had to get all of my insurance, and coinsurance information together, and then they said that it didn't go through. So I was sent to Veronica, who told me "It looks like you don't have insurance anymore." Um. That's insane. So I called my insurance company. They said all was well. Apparently, Veronica's obese fingers had tapped the wrong button. Then, the pharmacist had to approve the coinsurance, which they told me would take about five minutes, so I had a seat. 25 minutes later they hadn't called me, so I returned to ask what the hold up was, to which the woman said "It'll probably just be five minutes, you can have a seat." Um they'd said 5 minutes 25 minutes prior. Then, magically, when I told her I would not be sitting back down, it was available. Honestly, this place is always a mad house. Tristan is always nice and tries to be helpful. But there's one pharmacist working and maybe 2 or 3 techs. Severely understaffed for the volume. CVS is a huge corporation. Pharmacy techs can't make more than $20/hr. Throw another one on there. $480/day to decrease horrible experiences like this one, and all of the others I've had here, is much better. I pick up insulin at $200 every three months, continuous glucose monitoring supplies for $120/month, syringes every three months. I mean, I could do this at any pharmacy. If this stuff continues I'll definitely take my business elsewhere. read more

My vet told me to try CVS and this very unprofessional woman acted as if I should have already known this. WORST PHARMACY EVER. This is just about the pharmacy department. From a patient's AND doctors office point of view, do not have your prescriptions filled here. They lose them or misplace them (under someone's lunch bag which I was told when I called about a patient's prescription) or claim they never got it to begin with. None of the pharmacy technicians are helpful and don't really look into issues with prescriptions. They also aren't knowledgeable about the prescriptions doctors have prescribed. I have been to other pharmacy's and never have I had to wait as long or in the longest line for my prescription. They do that on purpose to make you buy items while you wait. If I were you, I'd think twice about using this pharmacy. read more

One of the worst pharmacies ever. I went there on a Monday night, and they had only two pharmacists working with a long line of people waiting. As a result, the pharmacists are overworked, and they are making errors. On my medication, the pharmacist forgot to mix the medication (oops) and on my second medication, completely gave me the wrong medication. Oops. Luckily I checked what I got versus my notes from the doctor. They need to hire more staff members; otherwise it's only a matter of time before they make a serious mistake with dispensing the prescription. read more

I'm usually generally happy with this CVS. The staff is nice and the store is clean. There's a homeless problem around the store but the staff are good at keeping everyone safe. However, I'm dropping this review to one star because the wait for the pharmacy is HORRIFIC. As I'm writing this review, I've been on hold on the phone waiting for assistance for 45 minutes! Forty. I've lived in this community for 17 years. I have NEVER SEEN SO MANY JUNKIES!!!! The just remodeled. So did Vins, and Tarzana Hospital in currently Remodeling as well. I do enjoy the customer service I receive there because I know everyone. However, I don't even want to take my Son with me to CVS because of the drug addicts that surround the place inside and out!! I walked in yesterday to fill me prescription, and there was guy standing inside near the entrance nodding off as he's standing there. Not to mention the copious amounts of times I've seen people actually shooting up right outside their doors! This has GOT TO STOP!!! It's disgusting, disgusting, scary, and annoying with all the panhandlers. They did add light to where the homeless were camping out, but all they did was move ove closer to Bea's Bakery. First of all they give the worst service. I called the pharmacy because I received a notification that one of my medications was on hold and they request I call the pharmacy. After 40 minutes of being on hold finally someone with bad attitude asked me to hold for another minute. Then after holding for 10 minutes my call was picked up but nobody attended the call. I only could hear what a woman was telling to another client or co- worker. Practically I found out the story of their lives and their medical history. I was shouting into the phone "HELLO" and still nobody picked up the phone. All these scene took about an hour. After this incident My family and I will not step into that unprofessional place. Very convenient parking plaza. Service and selection of merchandise is great as far as the store goes. Picked up my meds multiple times and every time had a flawless interaction with staff. There are many other places to go to for the same things in the area, so those that always complain should try some. Why would you expect five second service at pharmacy and that's outrageous, but when you wait at in n out for thirty minutes is not so bad?! I like this place and would recommend it. read more

The absolute rudest people work at this location, plus they always mess up your prescription. I needed a vital prescription that was on automatic refill, called them for 4 days straight and was left on hold for endless amounts of time. When I finally got a hold of a pharmacy employee (4 DAYS LATER) and asked why they do not answer the phone, he had the audacity to treat me like trash, like I am completely inconveniencing him. Will be moving my prescriptions out of here asap. If you have an important prescription that needs to be filled in a timely manner, take it elsewhere. This place is the absolute worst. They keep telling me that they don't have my prescription called in from my doctor, but I know my doctor called it in this morning. They are super disorganized and obviously just can't find it. This pharmacy is horrible. The staff is always disorganized, frequently rude and occasionally outright incompetent. They must have a very complex and impenetrable computer system because they have no reliable grasp on their current or anticipated inventory and can't seem to track their interactions with, or promises to, customers (e.g., "we'll have this ready for you tomorrow"; "we'll call your insurance company and let you know"; etc.). This could be forgiven if the staff had enough self-awareness to recognize these shortcomings and adjust their tone accordingly. Instead, the staff is defensive, combative and condescending when a customer dares to suggest that the pharmacy (as opposed to the doctor's office, insurance company or the customer) may be responsible for any particular confusion/difficulty. If you can, you should go to a different pharmacy. However, if you find yourself here, try to take comfort in the fact that you are not alone: the contempt you're feeling is justified and your frustration is shared by a large, and growing (if there's anyone behind you in line), community. read more
