Usually the employees in the store are nice but the woman manager is just plain nasty and short tempered. I just received an OTC benefit card and asked her to please tell me which items are eligible. I never bought OTC items through insurance before so I didn't know how it works. She said you have to buy them all first! I said to please tell me so I know if I am covered. She said "Only 1 of them is and I won't tell you which one" and she walked away. Who talks that way to a customer? If CVS wants their customers to remain loyal then they have to get rid of this rude intolerant manager. This CVS is in a retirement community and she is not fit to work here. read more

I had an appointment for a Covid vaccine this morning which THEY cancelled because vaccine was not available. ; I could not reschedule on line-- appointments not available. I went there to make another appointment--they thought I was a "no show", They have vaccine, it was a computer error. I couldn't have it this evening but can tomorrow afternoon. read more

It might just be a pharmacy chain, but I am 1500 miles from the Rite - Aid I go to. My RX needed refilled on a Friday night (about 730-800) & I came here. At 1st the woman in the pharmacy department said she didn't know if they could get it transferred, it would probably take 24 hours. Umm no good, I needed it that evening. She consulted the older man in the back, busy on a computer. Not only did he call the Washington store, he got it transferred and filled it...within about 30 minutes. .. While my little girl and I were at the store. I appreciate him going the extra mile to get the job done, on a Friday night. read more

My wife went to CVS to get a special photograph done on canvas. We heard nothing from them for weeks. When she called, she went into robo-call hell. Finally, she had them ring "front of store". The phone rang for 22 minutes straight without being answered. I told her to get in the car and drive over there. It's been an additional 20 minutes, and the phone is still ringing. I would think that CVS would know enough to train their people on how to pick up a telephone receiver and answer it in 42 minutes, wouldn't you? read more

I'm a huge fan of CVS Pharmacy. I'll start by saying this convenient location is right off Thunderbird & 99th in the heart of Sun City. Very convenient, easy parking lot access and plenty of ample parking. This store location is extremely clean as are the restrooms. People often joke about this location being overrun with seniors partly due to its location, but during the toasty summer months (like today), I was in and out of there in no time. Everything is well-marked, laid out quite well and very easy to find. I will say that CVS Pharmacy can be pricey. There's absolutely no doubt about that so I would recommend checking the weekly sales advertisement AND make sure you sign up for their e-mail solicitation. I know. I know you probably already subscribe to thousands of other newsletters, but the CVS subscription via e-mail makes it worthwhile. In fact, the ONLY reason why I came here today is because I needed more essentials like toothpaste, body wash and shampoo. BUT to make this trip even better was the fact that I got a coupon for 50% off one regular priced item which I used on my shampoo. The toothpaste and body wash I usually buy were all part of the weekly sales ad this week which means for $10 and some change, I walked out of there with my three essentials in a matter of minutes. As far as I'm concerned, that beats the hassle of fighting your way through a Wal-Mart parking lot. In fact, I was in and out of CVS in the amount of time I would have taken me to get a parking spot and walk to the entrance of a Wal-Mart. Convenience, time-savings and weekly savings are the reasons why I opt to use CVS for my essentials. read more

Covid testing at the drive-thru window is a huge problem for those who are stuck in the car line behind the window recipient !!! Sun City, Az is a community of Senior Citizens. If you find yourself stuck in the drive-thru pharmacy line for a super long time when it's 110 degrees outside, CVS should have some type of alert that there's a Co-vid test being done & either come in, or prepare for a very long wait. If you turn off the car (to conserve your gasoline which is outrageously priced, currently), it doesn't takel long before you become hot. There needs to be a way to let elderly people know this. I was trapped with no way to exit the line of cars behind me, until I called the pharmacy (which has a really long list to listen through, before speaking to a human}, & was told that they were doing a Co-vid test & to just come in. I was then able to get out of my car & inform the cars behind me about the problem. One by one, they backed up and left. The poor lady behind me had her windows down & was sitting in the blazing sun the whole time waiting, so apparently, she did not have air conditioning to even help her stay cool. The pharmacy is there to help folks and does a pretty good job, but improvement for this problem is a must!! read more

Two stars but only because of location! Most sale items are gone right away. Can be a busy location. Today's cashier was rude to customer in front of me. Cashier didn't greet the customer or make eye contact at all. Customer politely said, "Smile (insert name of cashier), it can't be that bad!". The cashier responded curtly, "I am smiling!". She wasn't. Love being a rewards member and the deals, but see ya, CVS. I'm going back to Walgreen's or Walmart. read more

It seems as if every time I stop in briefly for one item, I find 20. There is always a fun clearance sale or a new two fer with vitamins. I had a very difficult time with Money Gram which is located in the pharmacy. It took 2 days to complete a transaction. Rueben was amazing. He helped me through the complicated process which unfortunately involved people from Money Gram who were very difficult to understand because of their language barrier. He stayed calm and was very supportive throughout the process. He is the shift manager and is excellent in customer service and patience. Mark, who also is an employee at that store, gave Rueben the assistance and patience to assist me, the customer, who was very frustrated with the Money Gram process. Up until the other day the only problem I had with the pharmacy is that they kept leaving my meds in the manufacturers container even though it's on my record to place them in the clear see-through containers. However, Saturday was a huge issue. I always check my meds when I get home.... is my prescription name on the container and do the pills look just like the ones I am using. Saturday some #$%^&$ gave me someone elses meds. For someone who isn't as diligent as I am that might have been dangerous. So, folks be sure to check your meds before taking. read more

I used to shop here all the time but prices have sky rocketed, so I only go when I have coupons. Also, I get constant recorded phone calls from them which are very annoying. I've called the store but it doesn't stop. Next step is corporate office. read more

DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY IF YOU CAN AVOID IT. Prescriptions are often not ready when promised. Recently I had to wait 24 hours for a prescription to be filled (this in a major metropolitan area). To top it off, they just shorted me on a prescription for Prednisone, which is risky with a drug that requires specific dosages over a specific number of days. It is not unreasonable to expect a pharmacist to be able to count to 12. read more

I recently moved to the area and my doctor had to call in a prescription. I told him to call CVS as it was right down the street. My prescription was for a Z-pac. Since I was new to the area my insurance was new also. When I went to the pharmacy, I was told they didn't accept my insurance (BCBS). I had to start my medication and said to just ring it up - they did to the tune of $34.84. I paid and left. Today I went back to the doctor and needed another Z-pac. I had him call it into Frys. They took my insurance, no problem, and the charge was $4.94. Insurance or not, a $30.00 difference on the same item is highway robbery. This is not the first bad experience I've had with CVS overcharging, but this is the straw that let me know never to return to CVS and to make good use of social media to report my encounter. They also make it a habit of never asking their customers if they have a CVS card, thereby not having to give the discount. If you value your money - stay out of CVS. There are too many other drug stores around to give away your money. read more
