Walgreens is just really bad at customer service at their pharmacy. I absolutely hate using them but my current Medicare advantage has them as the listed pharmacy. Whether you are a walk in or drive thru you will find only one person to help while multiple others are just avoiding eye contact. To say I hate Walgreens would be putting it lightly. I would use Fry's, Walmart Costco really anybody if possible as they're always nice friendly and the pharmacist will actually help at the counter where the Walgreens pharmacist prima Donna wouldn't dare wait on you. I do believe this is taught at Walgreens headquarters as I've seen the same lackadaisical performance in other states. Don't come unless you want to be stalked by management. Im in town visiting, and this is the second time I have been in within a week, the same guy was hawking me as soon as I walked in. Another manager kept trailing us throughout the store. So I asked the second guy something since he was there trying to look like he was scanning tags. I went to the front, literally standing right behind my mom on my phone, and a girl came up to ask if I need help. I told her we are checking out, and gave her a look. She went behind the counter and stood next to the mgr that was ringing up my mom, and she was giving dirty looks to him referring to me. I know there's a lot of bad reviews about this location but I assure you they have changed up their protocols and team because I had a good first time experience. I recently had my prescriptions switched to Walgreens off 91st and Union hills because another pharmacy ( not Walgreens by the way) was not being helpful with providing information on a out of stock prescription. I had a great experience with this location, the entire pharmacy team was kind, helpful, and informative. The person that answered my call was very helpful with making sure they had my prescription available. When I arrived at the drive thru, I was greeted by the pharmacy tech. The pharmacist was so kind and answered my questions. I received a follow up call a few days later to offer their support and to answer any additional questions. This is absolutely great customer service and great patient care follow up. This is very important to me especially because starting a new medication can sometimes be worrisome. Although we can call on our providers for any concerns, pharmacists are more knowledgeable with any drug interactions and contraindications, so it's wonderful that this Walgreens location is supportive. I wish there was a way to give his place 0 stars. We came last night after a trip to the urgent care with my 2 year old kid who was diagnosed with pneumonia. At 10:00 at night it was a 40 minute wait. We said ok left and came back 40 mins later- went back they the drivethru and sat there for another 20min while they "worked on it". I finally left the drive thru and went inside and my Rx was ready and waiting. So why was I sitting in the drivethru waiting? I got home, and one of my Rx was not there. Call pharmacy and they told me my ins needed a pre auth- frustrating but ok. I just wish that it was explained to me prior to leaving. Call my ins in the morning and they tell me it was approved last night Go back down this morning with my sick kid in tow and have been waiting behind 4 cars jn the drive thru for 30min what the heck is wrong with this place? Run away from the pharmacy there I actually switched my families prescriptions to Osco drug inside of Albertsons on bell rd. So much better, faster nicer. Night and day difference. At Walgreens you will always wait in line while lots of employees ignore you in the back. At least 5-6 employees back there always. They seem unhappy and unorganized. I would give 0 stars if possible. My mother went in today to pick up prescriptions for my type one diabetic sister. She was out of insulin which she needs to keep her ALIVE. So, my mom waited in line for about 10 minutes with my 5 year old brother who had to pee. Since she was by herself, she couldn't leave the line to take him to the bathroom and he is way to young to go alone. So he had to hold it. While she was waiting behind one person, who was being helped, other employees were walking back and forth in the back doing nothing (no one was in the drive-through). Finally, someone asked a girl if they could help my mom. She ended up saying "sorry, we are waiting on the doctors instructions so we couldn't fill your prescription" and obviously my mom panicked a bit because that is unacceptable for a type one diabetic who needs insulin to survive. So, she went on to tell my mom, "well let me see what we can do" and went back to ask the pharmacist for help. My mom sat and waited for another 15 min and was able to get a hold of my sisters doctor in the meantime and he did indeed get a message from Walgreens saying they didn't know what he wanted them to do... and he had no idea why they're having an issue with this. My mom, STILL on the phone with the doctor walked up to the counter saying to him "yea I don't know what the problem is either, it'd be nice if I'd get and answer to this " and this stringy, greasy haired tech said "well maybe if you would ask the correct questions you would.." in a very condescending rude tone. My mom ended up losing it by then, and started arguing with this Russian looking pharmacist... basically ended up with the insulin thank goodness, but left with no apology and a 5 year old who peed his pants since he couldn't go to the bathroom. Walgreens has a different system, meaning all meds now come from a warehouse. My medications were all messed up and delayed. A couple of mine cannot have delays. The warehouse left my meds off a daily shipment and the staff said sorry there's nothing I can do about it. No compassion at all. read more

I come here all the time for many a lot of different things. From shampoos, to make up, to milk, to medicine. This Walgreens also offers a healthcare clinic. Which is a wonderful addition to services for our community. While majority of staff usually looks sad to work here, I have seen seldom few who will smile. I have been coming here for 5 years and today I write because I was disappointed to see that a facility that offers healthcare clinic would allow staff to take their cigarette break right in the front with entering constumer/patients. Please be aware of people who come in to be seen that are ill. Maybe offer staff a place in the back for break. Not that Walgreens corporate really cares, but this location is about a half a mile from my house and I am in here to three times a week picking up ice snacks household goods etc. What I am going to start doing is refusing to take any of my prescriptions here. The woman pharmacist/manager who also happens to be pregnant right now, not sure if maybe that's why she's got such the attitude, but whatever it is I'm not dealing with her anymore. She not only has filled prescriptions incorrectly several times and then gives an attitude when forced to correct those, but today she wanted to stand at the counter and argue with me over her inability to keep correct pharmacy records. I have family members that all have the same last name and get all of our prescriptions at this location and if my information is given to another one of my family members one more time I'm going to sue this company! Stop confusing records, verify birthdates and do not reveal anyone's private personal information, (HIPAA violation) to anyone else. I don't know if this is corporate directive, but when a particular inhaler works better for a customer do not sit and argue about them being the exact same medication when you yourself are not an asthmatic and have no understanding of the delivery system for someone who has COPD. Go back to school. And please a warning for anyone that goes here, if she starts to push back about your prescription drug coverage, do not pay what she asks you to pay. Call your insurance company, look into good RX, do not except from this woman when she tries to jam down your throat which was an almost $50 inhaler that 30 days later I got for 18. I can tell you fry's on the opposite corner and CVS both care about their customers and treat us like medical patients. This pharmacist (I use that term loosely) I believe is too concerned with watching the bottom line in her pharmacy, maybe she gets a bonus if she takes more money and spends less. I had a scheduled COVID vaccination @3:30pm today. Arrived 15 min early checked in completed everything. There were. 4 people ahead of me once they were done it was 3:45. The pharmacist went over to the pharmacy and start filling prescriptions. There were 8 of us waiting now. Its been an hour past my scheduled time. I waited until 4:30pm. Went over to the counter and asked how much longer the pharmacist said about about 10 mins. I said my appointment was over and hpur ago. This is ridiculous several of us having been here over an hour. After 4:45pm another pharmacist came out and called me back. It was after 5pm before I got my shot and got out. If you don't have the time or staff don't schedule the appointments. read more

Picking up 2 prescriptions for my dogs who ingested pieces of a severely toxic sego palm tree from the back yard. After a 4 hour vet appointment, came to fill the scripts. Staff is nice, but was told 20-30 minutes at 9:10. It's now 10:05 and was told another 20 minutes. It's now 10:30 and still no medicine. My dogs are on the edge of possible liver failure and the medicine that I need will stop the toxins from metabolizing in their bodies. We are all important patients, so it is unfortunate that me and the other 10 people here have to wait so long for important medicine! One man is here is picking up medicine for his wife who just got out of the hospital! I do feel bad for the girl in the front, she has been yelled at by multiple patients so trying my best to be positive and nice, but worried about my pups at home! One of our worst pharmacy experiences in recent years. We needed an urgent insulin prescription filled on a sat evening and had the misfortune to choose this store. The pharmacist on duty was very poorly trained and was unable to run a goodrx coupon for $28.00 instead insisting we pay $152.00. Unfortunately it was close to closing time and we had to wait while he addressed another unhappy customer. By the time he could look at our issue it was too late to go to another pharmacy so we paid the high price. On monday i called in and talked to a very rude uncaring female pharmacist that was no help. I then called the district manager complaint line and filed a complaint and was told the district manager would call in 3 to 5 days. About an hour later i got a call from the store and was informed that the current $28.00 goodrx coupon specifically for walgreens comes up $152.00 in their system and they are sticking with that price but would give us a $50 gift card to help make up for it. Not happy but lesson learned...or so i thought Later in the day our Dr called and said that after hearing about our experience he called around to area pharmacies and found that all others have it for $24 "i dont know what walgreens is doing but you can get it for $24 anywhere else" The actual lesson learned....stay away from walgreens read more

I came to this location as I needed to fill a prescription at a later time than my typical location is open. I didn't find them friendly or the least bit accommodating. I was in a lot of pain, and there was a problem with my prescription. I had to return a few days later to pick up the prescription and had a similar experience. I felt like I was an inconvenience to them, or that they were questioning my integrity (the error in prescription was not my fault). When I finally did get my prescription they didn't bother to ask if I had questions or concerns, and this was a new medication to me. I'll go out of my way to avoid this location in the future! read more

My sister was just out of surgery and in horrible pain. The girl there told us the prescription would be ready in an hour. We go back in one hour only to have her non apologetically tell us it will be another 45 minutes. Then she says if we want to come inside and wait it will get filled faster. Evidently this location does not know anything about time management! What is the point of having a drive thru if the people inside always get taken care of first! Will NEVER use this pharmacy again! My mother came down with an illness last night. Today it became apparent she needed to be seen. I called the healthcare clinic hotline and spoke to Shane to ensure her insurance is accepted and if walk ins were allowed. I was told yes. I brought her in and tried to sign her in for a walk in appointment and the automatic system told us we needed an appointment. There was nobody in the clinic to speak to so I went to the Pharmacy to see if they could help me, hoping they could find someone in the clinic for me to speak to. After waiting for several minutes, despite nobody in front of me, some redhead with the sides of her head shaved came up to the counter. I told her what the issue was, and she told me that the healthcare hotline is a seperate company but they (meaning the pharmacy) were told appointments only for the clinic. I clarified that the person I spoke to, Shane, assured me that walk ins were allowed and she insisted that they were not. We have been walk ins at this clinic in the past and were accepted, so I was confused. The pharmacy tech recommended us to another clinic, and upon visiting the website of every clinic in the immediate area, it became clear they were all closing or had no appointment slots available. I went back up to the counter to let her know she recommended us to places that were all closed. She took a very snotty tone with me and told me she didn't know they were closing. I feel it's bad form to recommend other locations to people if you aren't aware of their hours, especially in this situation where someone was sick and in need of care. She continued to get indignant with me and insisted that I was expecting her to fix the situation, which I then corrected and told her I was hoping to speak to someone in the clinic. She became very dismissive and said there wasn't anybody. I told her taking my mother to the hospital was out of the question because it was too expensive and now we had nowhere to go. She shrugged her shoulders and dismissively "apologized" about my situation but didn't seem to care and didn't seem to want to make and effort to help me in any way other than acting unprofessional and aggressive with her tone of voice. Walgreens clinic needs to fix their policies regarding allowing walk ins or not and make it possible for patients to contact the clinic directly when clarifications need to be made on such matters. Walgreens pharmacy needs to retrain their staff about precessional behavior, and ensuring they are aware of other location hours that they recommend patients to. Communication between the clinic and pharmacy, especially since they share patients, would be especially helpful in these situations when confusing information has been given.l and patients are in need of help. read more

The staff at this Walgreens is amazing. They are consistently friendly and helpful. There is apparently a prescription program where you pay $20 a year per person, and after that your prescriptions are only up to $15 a script... This was the only store that told us about the program. This saved us around $500 on just one prescription! The store has everything (from kitsch to Jim Beam), and everyone's pretty nice. Stopped in to make sure they had the 2 medications prior to giving the scripts. They said yes, and we left the scripts. Told me it would be 1.5 hours. 3 hours later.... I would give this zero stars if I could. After spending the night in the hospital I went to this walgreens which is open until 12. I stood in line for 30 minutes waiting to turn in my rx cause they had ONE person working behind the counter. After waiting in line I finally was called to the counter and told they couldn't fill it cause it was 1140pm. When I explained to the guy it was not my fault that they were understaffed and had to wait. He offered very little sympathy and just repated that he couldn't fill it.
