I got my COVID-19 and flu vaccines here last week. I was able to easily make an appointment on the CVS website and select a day and time that worked best for my schedule. Conveniently, I was able to get in the very next day. Once I arrived, I was able to check in with their kiosk and I was taken back for my vaccines after waiting less than five minutes. The NP that helped me was Teresa and she was wonderful. I didn't even feel one of the vaccines and the other one was pretty close to painless as well. In addition to being great at giving the shots, she was very friendly and made me feel at ease. I am typically a Walgreens gal but this experience may have just converted me over to CVS! On top of my insurance covering the vaccines with no hassle, I was even given a $10 off $20 coupon to use in the store! read more

This is the worst pharmacy ever. We were in town on vacation. My husband ran out of medication because we extended our stay. This pharmacy never contacted our pharmacy for an emergency fill. We tried calling the pharmacy and the never answered the phone, also left a message and no call back. They show that they don't care about other people's health from out of state. We got treated like crap because we are not from Arizona. My husband's health was put in jeopardy and this pharmacy didn't care. The slowest CVS pharmacy yet, but all of them are understaffed and slow , so severely understaffed it takes a half an hour to get through on the phone, 10 minutes if you're the only one in the drive-through. Manager has buried the staff under the work. It's absolutely ridiculous. Chris is awesome! I am NOT great with makeup but I had looked up the best foundation for dry skin. I found them here but unfortunately I don't know my color so I was looking for a female worker to help me. Chris saw I was looking around and asked if I needed help I told him I need help with make up ha ha and he said what many customers don't know if CVS has 100% return even if you open and try it at all stores with make up so now I can leave relieved knowing even if it is the wrong color I can fix it. Not a fan of this pharmacy location. I use a different location CVS which is much better. So, my 73 year old mother had an outpatient surgery. Her dr called in the script before I was able to pick her up. Got mom home and situated. By this time it was an hour since it was called in and they told us an hour ago it would be ready. So I called CVS to make sure and they said it would be 30mins. Ok I wait the 30 mins go to the drive thru and the guy at the drive they tells me her insurance wouldn't cover it but we could pay cash. I went into CVS last night because I thought I might be coming down with the flu and thought it would be a good idea to stock up on some over the counter medicine. When I arrive at the store I wasn't quite sure what medicine would be the appropriate medicine to take. The pharmacist took the time to answer all my questions even suggested a medicine that would work best. I normally do not go to CVS for my prescriptions or over-the-counter drugs. However this will be the place I come in the future. You can't beat this type of customer service. In fact the customer service is so good and fast I didn't have time to walk the aisles looking at the random items you find in drug stores. read more

This review isnt for CVS or the Pharmacy although both are great, however this is specifically for (NP) Mihaela Murphy in the CVS Minute Clinic. I was a walk in appt. Checked myself and since it was lunch time expected there to be a wait. And there was. I live around the corner and could have come back but i knew if i left i wouldn't be back and would have continued to try to fight this stubborn bug on my own. She finished with the patient she was with looked at me and assures me of the wait time before i could be seen. Yes, i understood i told her. She encourages me to go grab lunch or maybe go home do some shopping (SOMETHING) and come back. No. Im ok. Ill wait. But thank you, I told her. She went back inside her little room comes back out changes the "lunch time clock" on her door and says...i cant go to lunch before seeing you. Ill go to lunch after you. I told her i was fine waiting but she insisted. During the regular preliminary symptomatic questioning she takes my temp and has that finger clamp thingy on my finger and says im sorry i have to send you to the hospital. Your oxygen levels are very low your temperature is very high and its to late to give you anything for the flu because it has now turned into walking pneumonia. I politely thanked her for her evaluation but told her i would not be going to the hospital. (I am a single mom) She seemed extremely concerned which i appreciated but she continued with the exam under the condition that i would return to see her in 4 days so she could listen to my lungs. I agreed and made the follow up appointment immediately. She prescribed me several medications, gave me specific instructions on how to take them, how to lay in bed, what to be aware of, how some of the meds might make me feel...she went over and above her call of duty TWICE for me. I came home and immediately took my first dose of everything and OMGosh...within 2 hours i felt better than I have felt in a week!! I slept through the ENTIRE night, I think my fever finally broke! I can breathe without coughing and when I do cough my entire body doesnt hurt!! I have been using this CVS for years. Recently they have become terrible. The drive thru can't be counted on. frequently they close it and if you have mobility issues your gonna have to figure it out. If you can make it inside you'll find that the kid making popcorn at the movie theater takes more pride in his job than the techs working at this pharmacy. After being a customer for so long now they have all my info wrong and cannot seem to get it right. It would be better if you didn't see their organization skills of pouring all the prescriptions on the floor and sifting through them with their foot to find yours(Which you better check before you leave and make sure it's yours) Bottom line they are a mess. Whatever their excuses for being so terrible it's time for them to just close. People like me who need our prescriptions cannot have to deal with this. Don't lead people to believe you can help them if you know you cannot. I have transferred my husbands prescription to this location almost half a dozen times and they still can't find it everytime I need to refill the prescription. Pharmacy reps are rude, refuse to call the doctors office to verify prescription and they just can't do anything because their system doesn't talk to each other. And when all else fails they put you in an extended hold. Lisa, the manager is even worst. She contradicted everything the tech said and claimed they can't see anything about the prescription. It's a shame because they are the only 24 hour cvs in the area and I only use cvs because they are covered by my insurance. I'm giving them 1 star because it's the lowest rating. This location is convenient for me because it is close to my house but I have considered other locations when needing a prescription just to avoid a particular pharmacist. I have called and spoke with a manager before about her attitude and poor customer service but it didn't seem to do much good. It is unfortunate because I enjoy the rest of the staff and everyone else is so great. I believe her name is Lisa and according to another review she is a manager herself which is a huge shocker. She is extremely short, unfriendly, and exudes an attitude every time she speaks. During a recent visit she was frustrated with a customer she helped before me and decided to take it out on me. She asked if I needed to speak with her and I stated no I believe that was the customer before me who requested counsel. She repeats herself with a very aggravated tone saying "so you don't need to speak with me?" In shock of her hostility I almost laugh it off and repeat myself telling her no I do not. She looks at me and says well then what do you want? Baffled by her confrontational tone I tell her I am just dropping off a prescription. She then slams the phone down, rolls her eyes, and begins scolding a pharmacy tech in front of me at the window. She is extremely unprofessional and I hope this sheds light on how she is ruining this locations image. read more

I have to say this has been the best pharmacy I have ever been associated with! The pharmacy staff is very friendly and accommodating, they have gone out of their way to assist my family several times. The counter staff has also been great with us, they have found and assisted us in using coupons we didn't realize we could, let's face it everybody needs to save where we can nowadays! The store is always clean and up kept, I have been in some pretty dingy and dilapidated CVS's! I also have been pleasantly surprised to find some real bargains on items I want even aware they carried! They have decent prices and have great sales for the bargain hunter in you! I watched as the pharmacists chatted away... the gal talked about how she didn't graduate till she was 33 and how she felt that she was old and that's why etc etc to the other pharmacist. I have been getting my prescriptions here for 10 years. Most of the staff are amazing and very helpful. There is an older pharmacist (not a tech) who is rude and abrasive. He asks personal information from behind his little counter behind the register counter. Very unprofessional and was very embarrassing for my daughter. I also loved when they were open 24 hours as sometimes I work long hours and can't make it there in time. Going into the store you get great service. However, I wanted to schedule an appointment with the minute clinic & the website would not load once clicking location. I called this location as that's where I wanted to go and got a gal whom had no clue what she was talking about. Originally she told me to select the option for the clinic on the automated prompts (which isn't there) when I told her that she said "oh yea you can only do it online" I said I tried and wasn't able to even get past selecting My location. She said "that means they are booked" which is wrong cause when I picked another location it pulled up and provided information of booked days & days available. Kinda embarrassing on her part, as well as management; make sure your employees know what they are talking about cause at this point I knew more than she did, with no help. After getting through to another location I was advised that the location I wanted (83rd n thunderbird) was not booked up & had plenty of openings for the services I was needing (not vaccinations) so if you wanna call this store for information your best to probably do it on your own or you'll get someone who contradicts what they say with more false information. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because they have one cashier who is extremely irritating. He is extremely slow and makes transactions difficult especially if you have a return (even with the receipt). I try to go to another cashier but they usually only have one line open. read more

Making a COVID test appointment was pointless. I showed up 15 minutes early and per the online instructions "Upon arrival, follow instructions posted at the site. Do not go into the CVS store unless directed to do so." I drove around the store and there was zero signage or directions on where to go or what to do. I went up to a posted sign on the front door which had no directions either but just said to make an appointment online. So I sat in my vehicle and called the them to ask where to go. After going through the phone selections, I finally got someone NOT at this location who was in their general call center who said to just go through the drive through. Which I did, at that point it was 3 minutes before my appointment time and the pharmacy then told my I would have to wait even longer because their testing person wasn't there and was running late. What was the point of having an appointment- they couldn't call me to tell me they were running late? I'd made the appointment 3 hours earlier.- and they had no direction for customers! Makes me doubt their competence and accuracy for testing! Now I'm waiting in a long line of cars ahead of me to try this again. Update: it took 45 minutes PAST my appointment time until they finally got to me to do a 1 minute test and they were completely rude. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! read more

Today I was in CVS pharmacy and purchased Zicam extreme congestion relief nasal gel. Later when I opened the product it was completely empty. I did not keep my receipt, and that is my fault, however when I pay 13.99 plus tax for a product I expect to get it. The sales associate was very nice, but at the end of the day I did not get what I paid for, and I will never visit the establishment again. I was there yesterday with my sister and had one of the worst experiences I've ever had as a customer. I was offended and publicly humiliated by a management member who couldn't be bothered to do his job, much less show respect to customers. When he was unable to scan an extra bucks coupon issued by cvs the night before, he refused to provide additional help. When I informed him that the coupon had a defect showing through the paper that was the issue he said to take it somewhere else. It would have, but then the defect would still be there and it'd be losing $7 that cvs issues to me. Nonetheless, this guy was very condescending and made me feel like my business wasn't worth his time. Then he publicly like announce in front of several customers waiting in line that there were always problems with my transactions when I shopped there. I was shocked and humiliated that he would make such allegations and imply that I'm a dishonest customer, when the only other times I had problems with him were only because he didn't know how to scan coupons and a real experienced manager with exceptional customer skills had to do it for him. I can't believe Mr. Smith is the management face of CVS, as he antagonizes and insults customers showing a utter lack of respect for their business and zero customer service skills. Makes me sad that because of this bad experience I won't be shopping there nor recommending it to anyone, because the rest of the employees and management team are exceptional, but this guy really sours the whole experience and taints CVS image for customers. read more
