Then they text you that your prescription is ready 5 days later you go get it and they never filled it. They then lie to your face claiming there was a mixup. No this happens every time. The store is located across the street from BJs Warehouse. It is a typical CVS. I found what I needed and it was a quick visit.

They called me at 9:31 am that my medication was ready and I arrived at 1:40 pm on 03/26/2024 and they were assisting you when my turn came, they said that they were going to close then they would open at 2:00 pm and I waited and Then they said that they didn't have my medicine ready and not only that, the person yelled at me and to make matters worse, they almost passed me by while I was closing the door. I'm pregnant and not even that, they were kind enough to help me with my medicine or be kind. read more

Came here for a walk-in booster shot. I didn't make an appointment because I know they're all blocked out for the next several days. I went to the back and asked a pharmacist if they're taking walk-ins. She was very polite and informative and shared that yes they do but it occurs during a specific block of time and that I can come back later. I came back at the time she shared and there was no wait at the counter. She immediately processed me into their system and put me in line behind a few other people waiting in the back for their shot. They had two little cloth walls set up for privacy and a few waiting chairs. I got my booster 15 minutes after I walked in to be processed. I noticed that the nurse administering them was very polite to everyone who was waiting and patiently answered any questions we had. I felt very safe the whole time and appreciated being in and out very quickly. read more

Some staff are quite rude at the register, especially , for asking to cough in their elbow, not hands, to please let me bag my own things , for asking they disinfect their hands after rubbing their eyes or a piercing. Scarlet has been rude to me several times, screaming and pointing at me, I've had Meghan Carabella tell me that if I didn't like something, I did not have to shop there. Today I mentioned to the check out girl that if she has a runny nose, she should be wearing a mask. Meghan, shift supervisor, immediately stepped in and wanted to handle the transaction. I do not want to deal with her, and told her so. She got furious and called the police and had me restrained from the premises. I am a valued customer and have spent a lot of money at this store since I moved to Amherst. Awful customer service. Was trying to print pictures, and for some reason it would only print half the order to the printer behind the counter, which was malfunctioning but the clerks wouldn't tell me straight away, they'd fidget with the machine and walk away. The manager didn't care to help either and told the clerks to just try rebooting the machine and left. Delay after delay (35 mins worth), they say "can you try coming back later" in which I replied no I won't wait and will try to make my daughter's bday prints elsewhere. They did still charge me for the $2 worth of pics that did print. read more

I came there looking for a prescription and the lady behind the desk told everybody in line that the place closes at 1 o'clock and it's already 130 and she's not gonna get a lunch. I had no idea that they reopened at 2 o'clock and I would've absolutely waited. Instead, I called my doctor and I had my prescription sent 6 miles away only to realize when I get there that it was just a lunch period. had she take an a minute to explain to the customers that this is their lunch, And that they would be open in half an hour that would've been much better. I went to this cvs to get my passport pictures taken and after waiting in line the cashier told us he couldn't do it because he was working by himself. Then when I got in line again and asked him again to accommodate us as we needed the pictures by tomorrow and could not come back he told me to talk to the manager. When I asked the manager to please take the passport pictures for us because we couldn't come back tomorrow and are willing to wait. She refused and said we could go to another location because they are not doing passport pictures today. When I asked if she could take them for us she said no. When I moved to the this side of town I transferred all my prescriptions to this location. Let me tell, it's like a three ring circus at this pharmacy. You can call to see if they have something stocked and get put on hold forever. They will ask if they can call you back and never do. They mess up billing. They give you partial fills on certain things and fail to tell you that due to the class of medication you cannot pick up the rest later, it's now gone. There is a number of reasons that I am not overly fond of this location, oh, a pharmacist lost a prescription order and then said she gave it back so there was nothing CVS could do about it because she said she gave it back. OF COURSE SHE DID, who will admit that they lost someones prescription. When your children have there tonsils removed, the script for the pain meds is just a little important. Anyway, as far as the store goes, it's just your average CVS. The employees are courtious. read more

Worst cvs. Photos all messed up. I ordered magnets and none of them were magnets when I picked it up. Tried to get a refund and they couldn't even do that. First they couldn't find my pictures. Waited 20 mins for them to look for it and then come to find out none of the pictures turned out right. I already had bought the pictures. I wanted to get refund after I bought them but couldn't. The manager didn't know how to refund me. Then told me to come back in 30 mins so she can put the magnets on. My experience at this cvs was terrible. The cashier Abdul and Singh are just definition of slow. I had a coupon ( extrabucks ) that wasn't going trough and they said the system showed that it wasn't the same card or because it was because it was expired. After showing them the 4 last digits of the card which matched the coupon and also the expiration date which was valid there were still not able to accept my coupon. They didn't give me no explanation of why, they only kept saying idk. It's ridiculous how night shift management don't know how to handle a situation like this. read more

If I could give this CVS a negative rating, I would. Over the past several years, they have made at least one mistake in almost every prescription we've requested from them. If the prescription has even one unusual feature, CVS makes a mistake. Add to that the fact that the employees who answer the phone or work at the pharmacy's cash registers do not care about the customers, and you have a situation as other reviewers have described, one which mandates that you take your business elsewhere. Most recently, a pharmacy employee had answered the phone and treated me as if I were a burden to her schedule, and a second (who'd told me she was a pharmacist) didn't think it was necessary to give me an update on my medicine. After asking me a question about the prescription, the pharmacist said that she would take care of getting me the correct medicine, indicating that she was going to fill the prescription either that day or the next. Over the next six days, I heard nothing from the pharmacy, so I called again. I heard conflicting information from the automated voice system - first, that my prescription had already been picked up; and second, that CVS was "working on it." When I finally got through to a live human being - the pharmacy manager - he told me that the automated voice information was incorrect. When I mentioned the first pharmacist, he said he did not know of her. He also stated that he could not fill the prescription because it had expired. To emphasize - the pharmacist with whom I'd spoken six days before had questioned me 2 days after my prescription had expired and had indicated that she was going to fill it. I have verified with an attorney that this is illegal - to fill an expired prescription. In another instance, this CVS gave us expired medicine. In a third instance, a CVS pharmacy employee kept trying to sell me products I didn't need or want, despite my repeated statements that I did not want these items. This occurred during a phone call when he was supposedly calling to confirm my prescription for a particular brand of medicine. This behavior is against the CVS Health Code of Conduct (yes, I have read it). In a fourth instance, CVS sold to my husband a prescription medication for me which cost over $100. They neither called me to verify that I wanted this specific medicine nor questioned the outrageous cost of the medicine before selling it to us. When my husband gave me the medicine at home, I asked him to return it and get the money back because our insurance didn't cover it. I also didn't want or need something so much more expensive than average for that kind of medicine. When he tried to return the medicine - unopened - and get a refund, the pharmacy employee at first threatened to not return his money, even though it was CVS's mistake and laziness that had caused the problem. There are more instances like the above, but they are just more of the same of this CVS's employees' behavior - unprofessional, lazy, sometimes rude, uncooperative, and error-filled. This CVS continues to make mistakes and exhibit rude and unprofessional behavior but offers nothing concrete in trying to compensate for their miserable failures - nothing that will help customers in a visible, notable way. At least two of the mistakes described above are reason to report this CVS pharmacy to state and Federal governing boards for the industry and pharmacists. Finally, this CVS has drastically reduced the pharmacy's hours. While it is true that the store stays open 24 hours a day, the pharmacy now has, basically, "bankers' hours". In a way, I guess that's good - now they have less time in which to make mistakes on customers' prescriptions and be rude. For one of the more glaring problems, I'd asked to speak to the pharmacy manager to try to get better service at this CVS. To his credit, he did talk to us and even had the store manager come to talk to us. Unfortunately, this pharmacy manager is surrounded by people and upper management who just don't care about customers: nothing changed after those discussions. Right after that, my husband moved his prescription to a pharmacy almost 6 times as far from us as this CVS is. I should have immediately followed him, but I'd hoped that these pharmacy employees would actually care and improve. That was a big mistake, one which I have since rectified by (today) moving my prescription to the pharmacy where my husband's is. I have written a letter to this CVS's manager, letting him know what has been going on in his store over the past several years. I have also written a letter to the President and CEO of CVS Health concerning this CVS. Although we are no longer customers of this CVS, it would be nice if some CVS employee in authority would pay attention to customer letters and reviews and fix these problems, sparing someone else this awful treatment. read more

And to add, when the flu shot supply was low, we were at another cvs location which ran out we called this location and was on hold all the way from the annandale location to Springfield. When we walked in to Springfield the phone was still ringing bc I decided not to hang up just to see how long it would take her to pick up the phone. If you want to instantly be in a bad mood, go here. The parking lot is a nightmare, first of all. Too many cars, not enough room to drive or park. If you survive the parking lot and make it inside, it is basically the same. Just to let you know, if you are waiting in line to buy something at the front counter, don't stand by the counter in line, stand by the shelves of goods in a mass with other customers until a cashier calls you up, or someone might yell at you for cutting. CVS: if this is your method for organizing customers, you might want to put a sign, or get a line guide rope. In addition, I've never seen a line as long as here at this pharmacy: at least 15 people deep. I was told to pick up my prescription in two hours. I came back in three and waited.....waited....waited.....An hour later I just had to go home, I couldn't take it anymore. I come back the next day, the prescription is ready, but they charge me $70 when it should be $10. I tell them to please use my insurance, and hand them an updated card. I tell them to disregard any old insurance and please use this card. Then I wait....wait.....wait....wait....My insurance card clearly states the price of prescriptions. Eventually someone calls me, and while looking at my prescription and insurance ID, asks me, if this is my card. Ummmmm. Yes, I say. And I wait....wait....wait. Again I leave without my medication, because I basically just cannot stand sitting there two nights in a row. I came back again, the next day. FINALLY, it was ready, but with no apology or acknowledgment of what happened. read more

I wish I could give 5 stars for the store, and one for the pharmacy. The store has friendly and helpful people. However, I'd stopped using the pharmacy and moved as much of my business as possible to the Giant Pharmacy next door. CVS pharmacy has taken a very long time to fill prescriptions, and tends to be bureaucratic in attitude. The clincher was this weekend - my wife's doctor called in an Rx around 3-4PM on Saturday (meds were necessary), I checked back with them and they told several times they never received a call or message about it. My wife and I followed up the next day; we found out they received the Rx, but didn't have it in stock. So instead of simply telling me they wouldn't have it until the next day, they told me the doctor never contacted them. Similar things have happened several times. read more

Well I agree with the negative review ... One of the head pharmacists ... had the audacity to come from behind the counter and scold me when they filled my husbands RX wrong. I had to walk out of the store before I ended up getting arrested for disorderly conduct ... she was blaming my doctor for his poor math skills, so I insist that SHE is the end all to ensuring my RX is ACCURATELY filled and that it will last if there is a discrepancy in the number of pills she should question it and so should her Pharmacy TECHNCIANS ... before dispensing it to me and then using one of my refills to compensate when I return instead of completing the order correctly THE FIRST TIME ... we are only talking about a generic drug that costs $10 but you get my POINT about accuracy when it comes to MEDICATIONS ... duh. There is no order to the line and no window for privacy when you pick up your medications ... no signage for lines to form and a spot for you to remain behind so that the customer doesn't have impatient IDIOTS hanging over your shoulder when you give you DOB and address .. Then you get the manager coming behind the Pharmacy counter to ring up customers since there is clearly a shortage of cashier staff at this location ... also the counter around the pharmacy is always DUSTY and dirty ... THEY MAYBE NEED TO HIRE CLEANING STAFF TO DUST MORE OFTEN .. and maybe replace the carpeting. The only reason I continue to patronize this location is because it is a 24 hour pharmacy and my insurance insists on EXTRA CARE for monetary purposes .. I used to use store #6150 Franconia Road, Alexandria, VA 22310 but left them because they FILLED my blood pressure medication in my husbands name and if I had not been conscientious he would have taken the wrong maintenance medication meaning every day for 90 days. Granted we have the same first initial and a long last name, but our DOB (date of birth) is not the same I assure you. read more

For a really good location, they sure are understaffed at the pharmacy. They don't have a drive thru location that eats up a technician but they manage to consistently tackle a line of 10 customers with one technician serving customers. Good thing I am moving in a month. read more

Unfortunately, this pharmacy is close to my house and my insurance wants me to use CVS. However, the service is painfully slow, mistakes are the usual and always a line soooooo long. Today, I went to the pharmacy for the 3rd time to pick up a rx, and it still wasn't ready! They could not explain the mistake. They asked if I could 15-20 minutes? No!
