I went in to buy a few things and get passport photos. Additionally I wanted to get film developed from an old disposable camera. I waited in line while two elderly ladies struggled with their purchase- The cashier didn't seem to know how to help them. He then said, "You can use the self checkout if you want". Me- "I know that sir, I need film developed if you're able to help me?" Him- "There's no bag here" Me- "I have no clue what that means but ok." *Pay for my things and leave. If one of your services is down, put up a sign. I drove to this location for that service which is posted on your site. First world problems but still annoying. read more

This CVS is A-Okay for usual everyday items and the pharmacy has improved, but it still needs some work. I've been coming here for more than 10 years, mostly because it's conveniently close to me and has always had what I need. I've had prescriptions filled - no problem. Although a couple times it did take longer than usual and because they're not open 24-7 it's not as convenient as other locations that are. In comparison, the CVS in Springfield plaza has better parking and is open 24/7. Although it gets more crowded. Parking is a hunt here, there's eight spots in the front. It's a very cramped area and the roads haven't been upgraded in ages so you'll find huge cracks and potholes yay. No worries though, there's plenty of parking behind CVS. For your typical needs, this place will get the job done. read more

This is a review of the CVS Pharmacy on Franconia Rd; not the store which is okay - just like other CVS stores or a bigger 7-11 without the ready made food to go. The gem is the Pharmacy which has been my family's neighborhood pharmacy for about 10 years. The staff have come and gone but they keep hiring bright group of folks that are welcoming, like to share laughs with each other and with customers, greet the "regulars" and go out of their way for me and my family. Any issues are resolved and we work it out. This pharmacy can get busy specially with COVID tests/vaccinations these days so avoid the long line during 4-6pm rush hour and Saturday crowds. read more

If I could give a 0, I would! This review is specifically for the pharmacy. I used to go to other pharmacies until my insurance changed, and they were all great until I started coming here. The pharmacists/staff are rude, slow, constantly provide incorrect information... and have repeatedly not filled or lost my prescriptions! It's so disorganized and dirty here... no wonder nothing is ever found quickly and they keep you waiting. I rarely can get anyone on the phone and when they do pick up I have been hung up on. My grandma is an old Asian woman. She is extremely sweet and wouldn't hurt a fly. To hear that management and workers at the pharmacy yelled at her and treated her like she was stupid multiple times breaks my heart. She doesn't fill prescriptions here anymore and honestly if that's the kind of people they have running this CVS nobody should give them business. This is the WORST PHARMACY EVER. Do NOT go here. I have given them far too many chances, they do not fill at the times promised, give you the wrong prescriptions, have no knowledge whatsoever about medicine, are incredibly rude, I could go on forever. Tonight was the straw on the camel's back for me. My husband graciously offered to get my prescriptions for me, for which I was very thankful, bc 9 times out of 10, the line is 15 minutes long (not bc they're busy, but bc the staff is incompetent). After he comes home, I look in the bag and oopsies! They forgot to put one prescription in! I swear, worst place ever. The staff turnover is constant, which I'm sure is due to terrible management. Pharmacy lines are toooooooo long! After 5pm, forget it! there is alwasy 4-5 people in line, and like 2 people working in the pharmacy. tha'ts about 20 min wait! The manager, middle age white guy with glasses, is really rude and doesn't want to help at all. Jokingly insults and whenever you ask him a question he rudely responds that he has find that out. If you don't like this job then please leave and go do something you like so that you can contribute. The employees are whatever, they aren't rude like the manager but they aren't helpful. I go here often because it is the closest drug store to me, however trust and believe if it weren't I would never pick to shop here. I can't understand how their shelves are always bare. I've yet to find that magical time of day when they have any product. Makeup- always empty shelves. Groceries - barren. I couldn't even find a bottle of pop. read more

Don't go to this pharmacy if you expect to be in and out quickly. Most of my stops here take upwards of 10 minutes. I've been here before and not had my prescription ready despite getting the alert that it is. Recently I was there and my prescription was ready but I was being charged an exorbitant amount and the rebate I had on the medication hadn't been applied. After telling them this the script was taken back and they moved on to the next person behind me without communicating whether they were doing something to correct the error or not. I stood there for another 5 minutes and eventually left because it was as though I didn't exist. Then five minutes later got an alert that my script was ready. If I didn't have CVS Caremark for my prescriptions I would avoid this place. read more

Fascinating to read the experiences here from others as it pertains to the pharmacy. Lost medication - I wouldn't believe that if it hadn't happened to me. They had ordered a medication that I could not go the weekend without and when I showed up on a Friday, they couldn't find it. They swore that it had come in but needed to call the pharmacist who had worked the previous day to ask about it. But get this......they didn't want to call before noon because that person was sleeping! This was unreal to me! Throw in the fact that the head pharmacist acts like she is doing you a favor and is completely unfriendly, this pharmacy blows. I give it one star because of the pleasant greeting from the teen cashier at the front of the store. If you insist on using CVS, make the trip to the Yorktown CVS Pharmacy near Fairfax hospital. Easily the busiest pharmacy that you will come across but also the most efficient. 24 hour pharmacy, half a dozen staff on hand, organized and will have the medication that you need because of their affiliation with the hospital. ** This is a review for the pharmacy only** This is the closest CVS to my new place, so because I've been getting my meds from CVS for a while, it was the first place I went when it was time for a new one. Never again. I dropped of a prescription on Sunday, knowing that they would likely have to order the medication. They told me it would be ready on Wednesday. No problem, I had meds through Thursday. When I didn't a call Wednesday, I figured maybe they just don't do calls the way my old one did. When I still didn't get a call Thursday, after taking my last pill, I went in. And that's where the problems began. My prescription wasn't ready, and the tech couldn't find it in the system. I remembered the pharmacist with whom I had dropped off the scrip, so he brought her over. She remembered me, and said sure, hold on. She went over to the safe, so I figured she had just locked it up when filled. Odd, as my old one never did that, but OK. But then she asked for my insurance card. And I knew that she had completely forgotten about it. Great. I can live with that. Then she comes out with the price, which is significantly higher than it should have been. Turns out, there's a new generic version of my medication, which means my insurance won't cover the brand name. Of course, she would have had to order the generic too. And had she actually done her job, she could have told me that, ordered the generic, and saved me probably at least $100. But oh wait, I'm completely out and need my meds now, so my choices were either pay for the meds or go without for at least a couple of days. Completely unsatisfied with my experience at this pharmacy. I will not be back. Here's hoping Giant is better. read more

Script was supposed to be filled within half an hour. Then after 5pm. The NEXT day I was standing at the counter for half an hour because they thought they had to verify something with insurance - mind you none of my info changed and I was there before. After waiting some more and start asking questions they admit that they didn't have the medication ready but they're working on it next! At this point I'm already late to my next appointment, told them I may just have to go...do they have an estimate. The answer "oh they can't be rushed!" Are they kidding? They said thirty minutes initially and 24 hours later they have the balls to snap at a customer that they can't be rushed? Mind you all this time never even apologized? They refused to fill my prescription because the doctor is located in Delaware even though I've been filling this same prescription every month for the last 10 years and they could clearly see that in my records. In addition the pharmacist was incredibly rude and loud so that anyone in earshot could hear all the details of my medical history. I will never be visiting this cvs again. This review is only for the pharmacy. The rest of the store is just fine, but this pharmacy is the worst. You have to wait every single time you come for a prescription, whether it's ready for pick up or not. I came here half an hour after my doctor's appointment and my prescription, which was electronically transmitted, was not ready. After waiting in line for five minutes or so, I was told it wasn't ready and that it would be ready in 10 minutes. That was almost 30 minutes ago. I'm taking my business elsewhere. This is my go to drug store. Conveniently located parking lot and store carrying regular CVS merchandise. Unfortunately, it seems to be location for many of police operations. I've witnessed at least three arrests in very close proximity of this CVS. The pharmacy section is very poorly managed--you have to always wait long time for prescription fulfilment even if you called before and there is nobody in line: in front of you. Additionally some of the CSRs in this CVS are unprofessional. Specially young pharmacists. I've seen young lady from the pharmacy ab using and bullying the older one to the point of crying and leaving her work place in despair. Very unpleasant scene... well.. It is convenient location so I am there a few times every week. read more

I've filled five prescriptions here without issue. Every time I've visited this pharmacy, I was promptly greeted and my prescriptions were waiting for me. The staff seems friendly enough and much more organized than other pharmacies I've been to. Will definitely continue going to this CVS. read more

Not the biggest cvs but nice folks inside and clean

Having used 5 different CVS locations in the past 25 years of living in Northern VA for all of my household needs and prescriptions I honestly have to say that this pharmacy is by far the most dysfunctional as well as slow in customer service. I moved back to the vicinity a year ago and have since watched them progressively get worst. Besides being visually disorganized nature of their shelves on the floor to the presentation of themselves (4) the day I was there. Really looks to me as a case of complacency in their work ethic from management down. Lastly, if you have to wait for anything by chance, as I did, you will notice their conversations for all to hear are quite strange as well, Its kind of as though they need to be entertained to get through the day. I never review stores like cvs, Walgreens or your ordinary errand stores since usually it's an in and out visit. However, my experience here for the third time really pushed me to my limit. I never cared for cvs but lately they've been sending me good coupons so I started stopping by. Each and every single time I was checked out with the most rude cashier I ever experienced but ...I let it go and went about my day until yesterday. I stopped by after a 16hr shift to pick up some basics and saw there was a manager at the register. I actually thought that this would be the one time I would receive polite service. WOW WAS I WRONG. I had one item and was the ONLY person on line to check out. I had a coupon with me on my phone and didn't notice the tiiiiny text that said "click to transfer to card" so at checkout I showed my phone. Let me tell you, I have never been talked down to like an idiot like the manager did. He embarrassed me by loudly stating how "this is inconvenient and will now have to void the whole transaction because I wasn't ready." He went on to speak down to me how "this is why we have the option to transfer to card and because I didn't do that now there's an inconvenience for the worker". I was baffled! I quietly stated I didn't see the small text and that I was sorry. To continue my embarrassment he pulled over another employee and proceeded to loudly explain why customers can't do this because this holds up a line and so on. Mind you, I was the only one in line. Even if I made an innocent mistake, couldn't he just explain that to me and walk me through it?! I'll spare the rest of the details due to this being so long but I have never been treated so rudely and so embarrassed. I'm shocked this place is even open anymore. Don't bother making an appointment for a vaccination to ensure you're in and out as their "minuteclinic" name suggests. I scheduled an appointment online for 8am so I could still get to work on time. At 8am the pharmacy was closed and the person working the front desk could care less that I had a confirmation email. He just kept repeating that he didn't think anyone would be in until 9am. This is the worst Pharmacy ever! The customer service is so bad, it made me sick to my stomach. Basically i went there to fill in my mother's prescription of Amlodipine. She doesnt have insurance, and the doctor told us that it would cost fairly cheap to get this filled, as this is a generic brand. She actually told us that it would cost around $4 a month to get this prescription filled. So i went to this pharmacy to get the prescription filled, and they charged me $42.00! I asked them if there was a price error? because i was told it's around $4.00. And they insist it was the correct amount. So i went home and call walmart pharmacy to find out how much they are charging this for. They told me it would cost $16 to get it filled at walmart! I called CVS and ask why the price different is 3 times higher for the same brand/ type of meds?? And they kept insisting that their prices were set by the headquarters. Customer service is very bad. She didn't even care to explain and just told the other gentleman that work there to get me a refund. no explanation, period. I definitely wont return here. read more

I used CVS frequently and this is the one closest to my house but the pharmacy is in need of an overhaul. First I went there for a flu shot. They told me my insurance would not cover which I thought strange since my husband had one covered at another CVS. I went ahead and pad the $31 which is higher. When I got home I called my insurance company and they assurec me it was covered and I should not have paid. When I called CVS to notify they told me to come in with a receipt for a refund. Well needless to say, after battling with them for 45 minutes I never got the refund and the receipt they gave me would not suffice for my insurer to reimburse me. They often have to order my meds which is strange because they are not unusual and the wait can be long. Also, I have been there when they have let others jump ahead of you because they are known to the pharmacy clerk. I went to get a refil on Friday. They notified me I had no refils available. Normally the pharmacy will call your Dr. for a refil, not this one. Just handed me back my bottle and sent me on my way. read more

Very efficient, I don't think I have waited longer than 20 minutes. Angela, Kim and Rashaan are the best with product knowledge, resolving insurance issues and sending timely reminders for refills. Let me start off by saying I love CVS, I've always gone there for all my RX and other needs... but this location in particular is by far THE WORST that I have ever been to. The Pharmacy is a straight up joke- you can put your RX in days in advance and call ahead before you leave to confirm it's ready- it still won't be ready when you arrive and wait in line for 20 minutes. You'll sit down and wait another 15 minutes until it's ready then get back in line for another 20 minutes. They also frequently do not have the RX in stock, and they don't think to order it until you're there to pick it up. Not once have they had my prescriptions ready at the scheduled time and I have been going there at least once a month for almost two years. Sometimes if you fill your RX online they try to tell you it was sent to a different location even if you show them the confirmation email they claim that they never got it. There is no self checkout, and usually only one cashier. There is always a line, and they aren't that friendly either. The parking is a whole other story- there's maybe 10 spots which are usually filled at peak times, so you have to drive around back and walk a bit with no lighting (bad for females). If I ran CVS I would fire the entire Pharmacy staff, knock down the building and move it back about 100 yards (there is that much room behind the building) to make ample parking up front, and put in self checkout lines... My latest experience- Doctor filled the prescriptions on day 1, they were supposed to be ready in about an hour, went to pick them up 2 days later, was told one of the prescriptions was not in stock and they need to place an order for it... seriously? you didn't order it when you didn't have it 2 days ago? They said it will be ready by 4pm the next day. I come in around 7:30pm and guess what- not ready. I was told that the computer was frozen so it would take 20 minutes to print the label for it. Meanwhile I can see the pharmacists using the computer and printing the entire time- don't lie, just admit it wasn't ready when you said it would be ready. Still prefer CVS over any other pharmacy, but unfortunately this is the only one conveniently located to my house otherwise I would never go there again. I'm out. read more
