With three CVS stores located within 5 miles of each other, this one should truly consider closing their doors. Terrible service. Horrendous pharmacy staff. Everything is locked up now with no staff members onsite to assist. You must use a self serve kiosk to purchase your items. This CVS is definitely the worst. I explained to the pharmacist that not everyone wants their medication spoken out loud so all customers can hear. Also, it is a HIPPA violation for her to ask customers their medication out loud in public. She still continued to repeat medication out loud very rudely. The pharmacy is terrible. It's a CVS like the other posts say. But we came in to fix what another CVS missed, and this is how he did. We arrived and I explained our situation. My daughter had a photo taken at the CVS by our house, but her hair was cut off in the photo and it was for an official passport photo, and the service agent would not take the photo and said we needed a new one. Now we paid around $7 for the photos I believe, so I expected that I returned to another CVS and they would fix it, please. So the gentleman that was there, at first ask me for a paper that proved this, but I told him it's clear her hair is cut off in the photos when I showed him and I am only looking for a replacement. We trusted you to do a correct passport photo. And I think when he realized my sincerity, he said sure thing we will do it when the woman is done making her photos. The photo making machine was in front of the place where you pull down the backing and take the passport photos. The woman paid us no mind as we sat there waiting for her to finish up. It's like we didn't exist, but that is not CVS' fault. So once she moved, I got he gentleman again and he took our photo in like 5 seconds and took care of it all right away. HE was friendly and I said thank you for helping us out. He was sad to report that he had people calling out and I empathized with him. So I can appreciate he helping us knowing he was the only one in the store. The store looked pretty neat and clean otherwise and we were glad they were there close to the base where we were getting our passport photos. We were able to get right back to our appointment and get all our paperwork done. Pretty cool if you ask me. read more

This pharmacy does not even pretend like it is trying to function anymore. Since COVID they have been massively understaffed and seem to have a high turnover rate. It has been bad for a while. Long waits in line (like 30 minutes). Half the time the drive through is closed. The last time I went through the drive through they didn't even open the window just talked to me via the phone. I could see the guy's back as he did something else. He tells me through the phone I cannot get the meds because they now require a preauthorization and they have not gotten it yet. I had not idea anything was going on. And, yes, I was out of meds because they won't send it through the insurance until a week before. It took two weeks to get everything settled. Two weeks without my meds. But then . . .they did not have it in stock (frequent occurrence) so they had me waiting saying I would get a call when it comes in. Nothing for a couple of days then I get a text saying it is too early to order. YEAH! If you had actually given them to me!! But I never got them. Now I have been on hold for 45 minutes waiting to talk to a human. It really is not worth it to go here at all. Too much delay, too many mixups, rarely if ever get to talk to a human. read more

I don't know why people hate on this store. The employees here went above and beyond. Melissa and Katy (If I remember correctly that was their names) set aside heated blankets for us on Christmas Eve. When we arrived they brought them to us and helped with some other household items we needed. Even on Christmas Eve they still had shelves stocked. I was surprised. This CVS rocks! I live around the corner and this is my go-to for prescriptions and now COVID tests. I've had tests other places, lines are long even with appointments. Not so great customer service, painful test, etc. Annapolis Road CVS is the best by far! I made my appointment online as I heard CVS has you self administer the test. The website was easy. The tests times are every 10 minutes, the time slots fill up quickly. You receive a text and email reminder of your test time. Drive up to the drive thru pharmacy, there was an NP waiting at the window with instructions on how to administer the test. So simple. Swab the inside of your nose. Put the swab in the vial, place the vial in the given bag, place your bag in the box and drive away. The entire process took less than 5 minutes! Easy peasy! read more

The Pharmacy has some MAJOR issues: do not call your RX to this place. My doctor called in an order and they said it would be ready in an hour- an hour later they said another two hours - two hours later they said 9:00 PM that night. I had a prescription called in over 2 hours ago and I understand they are short staffed, but that does not mean they have the right to be nasty. The attitude by both the pharmacist and tech was absolutely ridiculous. The pharmacist acted as though I had the gall to ask a question. How dare I ask how long it will take to fill a much needed prescription. I get there is stress but there is absolutely no need to treat customers this way. I will never get medication here again. This review is for the brand new CVS on Arundel Mills Blvd in Hanover, MD: I went to the new CVS store in Hanover, MD off Arundel Mills Blvd. I went to the coupon machine to print off any available coupons I had with my cell number. I do not carry my CVS card with me(it is somewhere in my home). I went to present the coupon at the register and the cashier (Yanet) refused to accept it because I had a different number. To my knowledge I have only had one CVS CARD linked to my phone number. However, she and the active manager refused to honor my percent coupon. I had several other printed out coupons and I told them they saw me at the machine. This experience was poor customer service. This CVS may be in walking distance but if you all will not honor a coupon with the same number I will continue to go to the CVS that gives me great customer service on Annapolis Road. I have no reason to lie for a few cents off my purchase. As an attorney, I value the truth. I expect an apology and compensation for the time spent and a request to prove I am who I am. This is my favorite cvs but i swear they need to open more cash registers. Gee wiz i actually used to stay in this store alot but now just visit periodically. They usually are very well stocked with items and the employees are very friendly. Big plus when I'm spending my money. It's very organized and i never have a problem in finding what i need. I just wish they kept more cash registers open. Oh and btw this cvs is open 24 hours which is good to know. If your like me. Which is a coupon queen or king .you need to make sure you have your coupons and card ready to scan. I usually just send my discounts to my card. I made an appointment in the afternoon to come and get a covid test. When I arrived, I waited in line at the drive through pharmacy and when I finally reached the window, was ignored for several minutes until I could finally get one's attention and they told me the person who does the covid testing was gone for the day. Why make an appointment if there's not going to be anyone there to attend you? The employees were terribly unprofessional and this was a sad experience. read more

There's a mature, small statured woman at the front. To the naked she might appear to be moving slowly. They couldn't be more wrong. I initially made this mistake myself. (But some things in life still take time. Some real aspects of living aren't automated or artificial. They're peer to peer. The backbone of customer service. But I digress.) The absolute truth is when I was there she wasn't moving slowly, but gracefully. She was literally handling, and successfully resolving every interaction and transaction that required her assistance, quietly. Finding photos in the database on one computer, while manually searching for printed photos 50 feet away, answering my questions about the rapid test kits behind the counter, fixing the self checkout terminal that's been blinking and beeping this whole time. Yes she was doing this almost effortlessly. And in an awesome display of a true superpower, she comes back to the front to check someone out, pleasantly. Not only she did never become rattled by the pressure. She then put herself in a different league when she had the nerve ;) to be PLEASANT on top of an already impressive lesson demonstrating experience driven peer to peer skills, management, emotional intelligence and yes customer service. I hope to be back to steal her from CVS at some point. Until then, pay her and everyone else. I think they're all competent in there. Even if time "seems" to slow down in Severna (to this city person). Slow - because you're working on it, and slow - because somethings not run well are two different things. Also important- I'm not from this area but I had to make the drive. My closest CVS was both out of Rapid tests and not taking appoints for PCR tests. I just got back from a business conference and didn't want to be around my children before being tested. This CVS is clean (which all aren't). The one near me is as well and so it was good to see that was the case here. I purchased a rapid test and was able to do the drive through PCR. So both tasks were completed and they were the on location in 20 miles of me to be able to do that. Be well world. read more

This CVS is a CVS. As far as CVS's go this one is no more and no less a CVS. It's a CVS when I pull up and walk in, and it's still a CVS when I pay and leave. The service is so-so, and the prices are of course higher then a grocery store. They stay decently stocked, but it can become hit or miss in the dairy section. Which is why i'm usually in this store (buying milk for my baby girl). It's got an ATM, and 2 Redbox machines which is nice. Otherwise I guess it's cool, but really how hyped can you be for a CVS? This CVS is about 1-year old as it replaced the original CVS in Odenton Town Center. It's clean, well lit, has a friendly staff and the shelves are well stocked. A great place to get your perscriptions filled. read more

I've always wondered how CVS' made it. Then I realized that when you're waiting on a prescription, what better way to help you pass time and distract you by filling an entire store with lots of nifty and useful stuff that you need, along with a bunch of junk and toys and pricier stuff that you don't need. I could have easily filled an entire shopping cart with holiday/birthday/thinking-of-you-and-bored-in-CVS cards, facial wash, make-up, seasonal decorations, chocolates and candy, a battery operated mixer that mixes stuff in your pan while you're adding more ingredients, a snuggie blanket for my Aunty's dog, and even some vitamins that I don't need. But thank goodness the pharmacist was pretty quick and processed the paper for my flu shot before all of that stuff jumped in my cart. She gave me my flu shot in the back room that is like their employee lounge area. Not the most clean or most professional of places compared to where I've taken my shot in previous years. But it did the job and my insurance covered it, and I didn't have to wait in long lines at work. I also punched myself in the arm several times and avoided a bulge or signs of any flu symptoms. It probably also helped that I took tylenol before and after. So I guess my point in writing this review is to share how CVS is brilliant at distracting customers while they are waiting for the pharmacy and no wonder they are still doing well. read more

This is the slowest, least helpful pharmacy and staff you will ever encounter in your life. The drive thru will randomly be closed forcing you to go inside. Where the line is so long because they're soooo slowww. All of this I've put up with for over a year now. Then last night we went to get my wife's pain medicine refill (she had 3 big surgeries in a 5 month period). The bottle, with the label they printed on the script they filled says 1 refill. When we dropped it off the pharmacist--- who was wearing his mask under his chin--- began to SHOUT at my wife! He leaned half way across the counter and with no mask, shouted in her face like she did something wrong. I told him he needs to cover his please and wear the mask correctly and then he YELLED AT ME! Last time we were there none of the people in the pharmacy had their masks on their faces. This is unacceptable. Yesterday's pharmacist outburst was the last straw. We will be taking our business elsewhere where people have a grip on their mental health and move a little faster -- where they won't yell at us like a maniac for filling a valid, necessary prescription. read more

Nothing but bad experiences at CVS. All I wanted was a flu shot. Pharmacist told me they have no flu shots. He had no idea why. Suggested I go someplace else because he said everyone else has them. Went down the street to Walgreens and sure enough, no problem getting a flu shot. CVS is always terrible. read more

They will not answer the phone forcing you to go in person just to be told that the rx has not been filled. One lady said she was there for 2 hours!! That's just ridiculous!! The pharmacy manager was just as rude and incompetent as the other two girls working there. I only went there out of convenience but never again!! It's a shame that you have to raise your voice and act a fool for them to move! They were moving like sloths. One of the girls stopped what she was doing to get food that was delivered while the line wrapped around the store and proceed to drink her coke while changing music in her phone. Everyone there was mad!! I hate that ppl were waiting so long for medication that may have been crucial to them only to be told "it not here, it'll be 24 hours". Wait. What??? 24 hours!?! Where do I start. Went there FOUR times to finally get dad's prescription successfully. 1st Visit - Medication wasn't ready, even the doctor office and the pharmacist confirmed to each other that they got it. 2nd Visit Medication was there.. but somehow his insurance wasn't applied 3rd Visit - Went back with his insurance card to pick up and was told - NO new prescription was ready for him. I asked CVS cashier (at the pharmacy) nicely could you go check at the bin if there is any? I said "I swear It was there on Thursday", the guy bluntly said "NO if it's not in the system it will not be in the bin" I left speechless. 4th visit - talked to the drop off county first - she was very effective and found my dad's prescription in no time and I asked if she could check if there is a duplicate profiles, and of course she found it in no time, and she was able to combine two of his profiles into one (GOD SENT ME AN ANGEL FINALLY)..... his medication from $300s total went down to $6s. She politely told me to wait for the reprint of the pricing. When it was ready, my dad's name was called, went to pay, the guy at the cashier asked for his information, this time i just handed him my dad's insurance card with all of his name spelling correctly... he still couldn't find it on the system! I'd probably be more forgiving if the two guys at the cashier didn't show their attitude towards me............needless to say.... DO NOT GO TO THIS CVS. My dad finally missed Saturday - Tuesday medication eye drops for his glaucoma... because of these two incompetent persons at CVS. read more

I like this CVS, convenient location, ample parking and very clean. The worker greet you as soon as you walked in, and everything is well organized. I went to this location for pharmacy service, I was kind of disappointed because they wouldn't take my Dr. prescription sent through email. The first female worker was not friendly and work there as if her life is so miserable, no smile, just being there and hate every minute of it. The second female worker, Tiffany, was so quick taking charge, she took my Info, and tell me to contact the doctors office and she will text, once the prescription ready. Mind you, my Dr. office is not that competent, I have been asking about the prescription for days and when I finally email them; they reply, but not so much as faxing it to this local CVS. The next morning I called CVS and was received by the same not so happy pharmacist and said the Dr office never sent it in, (after calling back my Dr) I called back in and Tiffany received my phone call, and tell me to come in thirty minutes. Once I'm there, I haven't even checked in yet, she saw me and called me by name and got my prescription ready so fast, and handled it with smile and care. My not so good experience became better because of her. read more
