Pharmacy is horrible. They are incredibly slow both with in-store lines and drive thru lines. Even recently waiting in line for 40 minutes in the drive through! They have to do some type of quality control. Staff aren't very friendly nor apologetic for delays. Barely acknowledges your presence in line. What can I say ... it's a drug store... Every visit made I've found what I was looking for. This CVS has a small food section with cold beverages, milk, dairy items and a small freezer for ice cream. Two observations I would make is the staff is extremely limited and sweeping and vacuming needs to be down more often; meaning you have to go on a hunt for help, other than the cashier, and the floors are dusty. When you do track down an employee they have always been nice, friendly, and helpful. read more

The pharmacy is short staffed and has been for awhile. I would recommend sending your prescription to another location. I have automatic refill set on one of my prescriptions and I still have to wait when I go pick it up. And when I say wait I mean I have to come back the next day and pray that it's ready. I went to pick up my prescription a couple days ago, I was the only one in line. Waited 30 minutes and ended up leaving and called my PCP to get my medication transferred to Walgreen. read more

My negative review is mostly for the pharmacy. The reason why I gave two stars instead of one is because the actual store and workers are great once inside and interacting with them in person. I've always loved and swore by CVS. I recently moved to the area and have tried to put up with this particular CVS for over a year. My prescriptions are never in stock, available when they say the would be, or I can't reach a pharmacist by phone. Then there's the matter of long lines in store and the drive thru never being open. I'm finally over trying to conduct business with this location. I've had two prescriptions sitting In Process for over a week. Today, I decided to call the pharmacy just to have the phone sit on speaker with no answer for over an hour (see photo). I have an infant, it's not that easy for me to run places as others may be able to so I rely on the phone for communication. I am 100% done and will be transferring my prescriptions to the Walgreens Pharmacy at John's Hoskins that's right up the street. read more

This CVS Pharmacy by far is the worst in Anne Arundel county. Why isn't anyone doing anything about it? You can't find the store manager name nor corporate office. They never pick up the phone. There is always more than 7 people in line and they basically ignore the customers. My husband had 2 prescriptions sent over from the hospital at 11am. It was "in process" until the next day at 2:00pm. They are famous for you going over to the store wait a hour in line to get to the counter and the prescription not be ready and the cashier goes and fills the prescription with a line full of people waiting. Once again my doctor placed an order at this pharmacy and I show the next afternoon and it's not filled and I have to wait for it. This place in Odenton can never get it together. They bug me like crazy on orders I don't want filled but when I have something like Prednisone for severe poison ivy they refuse to fill it in a timely manner. Last two months I have not been able to get insulin from CVS. They won't pick up the phone if you call. The last two months they had a box of my insulin at different stores but instead of them transferring it, we had to drive all over. Not sure if you're aware, CVS, but some of us need insulin to live. 30 years diabetic and never ran out of insulin until CVS. Removing all of my prescriptions. Bad pharmacy. This CVS is awful. Actually made me switch to Walgreens. They were always out of stock of my medicine and the wait for it was absolutely insane. The reasons were even more laughable. "Our guy that delivers our stock is on vacation." So you KNEW your delivery guy was going on vacation and instead did nothing about it? Your telling me there is only one delivery guy for all CVS's in the area? Give me a break. Also they would always say "It will be ready tomorrow" and I would go in 3-8 days straight and come out empty handed. What a waste of time. The last straw was when I asked when my medicine would be ready and she shrugged like a cartoon character. She was extremely unprofessional and rude towards me and continued doing so until I left. I will no longer be shopping at CVS or getting any of my family's prescriptions filled by them. With the pharmacy calls notification going off saying 3 to 7 pharmacy calls every 20 seconds with no one ever reaching the phone. Go to a different store or company all together. I would never recommend CVS pharmacy. I ordered my prescription for Livalo on October 27 and supposedly the pharmacy does not have it. Both of my doctors sent it over on October 27. No one cared nor seemed to know anything. I am very upset. I need my medicine for high blood pressure. If I get sick, I will sue CVS, Odenton and take them to court for negligence. You have to stand in two long lines and then when you get to the end, no one knows anything. They are not polite and are rather nonchalant as far as customers are concerned. When I objected, the manager told me not to return to CVS. I know CVS will eventually go out of business like everything else in Odenton does. Had a couple time critical prescriptions electronically submitted by my doctor at 4:30 today. I stopped by to ask how long it would be a little after 5 because, let's be honest, there was no way it was going to be ready by 5:15. They tell me 2 hours. They looked busy but fully staffed. Fair. So I went home, had dinner, did some chores and more than 2 hours later called the pharmacy....6 TIMES. Each time I had to go through the stupid voice prompts and when I FINALLY got to the hold option the call disconnected. SIX TIMES. So I called the CVS store and opted for the store manager option. Rang about 25 times until a clerk picked up. He apologized and said he had only been there 2 weeks but he'd be happy to go back and check on it personally. That person, Joshua (?), deserves a raise. He called me right back and said they told him the prescriptions would be ready....IN THE MORNING. They aren't closing for another 2 HOURS and they can't fill two prescriptions? I asked to be transferred back to talk to them, which he did. An upstanding employee! However, after over 5 minutes of listening to the same recorded message I finally gave up. I will be standing at the door when they open tomorrow and if it's not ready I'm going to ask for the prescription back so I can take it elsewhere, where all my other prescriptions will go after today....WEGMANS. This pharmacy is HORRIBLE. NEVER go there. You'll waste a lot of your time for nothing. read more
