At a quick glance, I feel for the staff members here at CVS. Particularly the pharmacy staff members--they work endlessly and get zero credit. Almost 99% of the comments and reviews on here are about them and "poor service." That is not the case at all. I have been a patron here for 9 years. I see the revolving door of staff members that come and go, however, there are a few that have been here for quite some time and they are what I call "drug gems." I love my CVS pharmacy gals and they deserve better than your nasty remarks and reporting threats. Get ahold of yourselves and realize who the real problem is--Your doctor...You...Possibly an understaffed location, however, YOU selected this location. With that said, after watching a shi*show of a situation unfold yesterday with a horrendous human being waiting to get her shot. I will say what most of them want to say to you...Make sure your doctor's office places the correct order. Make sure your insurance is contacted by your doctor or you BEFORE going to CVS--CVS is not your third-party insurance coverage check. Make sure YOU can read what your doctor wrote down before getting to CVS--CVS is not your scribe. Make sure you have an email or text message confirming the correct date, time, and service that you are scheduled for and even call ahead to verify the time and location before leaving your house. You have NO reason to complain about a wait time, hunny. CVS has the ability for you to place your order via the MyChart phone app, via Online, and their own CVS phone app. If you don't signup for email or text notifications, that is on YOU. read more

I really don't understand why people continue to send their pharmacy orders to the CVS. There's always an extremely long wait nothing is ever ready however the bins. are always full. I do think it is a staffing issue as they seem to be overwhelmed and understaffed. If I could give this place to stars I would but I can't just because the service is so bad. Just a word of advice if you put in your pharmacy order and it's something you need as in someone you love or yourself is any amount of pain, I would definitely send it somewhere else. It has taken close to a month to get my scripts. They lost a paper copy and my doctor had faxed in my order as well. We had to reorder theee times and it got to the point that my doctor said they need to "get their shit together. It's totally unprofessional and they don't even post a sign indicating that it's a drive thru only for Covid.. I showed up and spent 32 min in drive they and then finally was able to get out of the line and went inside and finally got up to the front and then they haven't filled it even though three days prior it said online it was ready to be picked up. They said they had nothing ready for me. I blew up and told them I thought it was ridiculous when the pharmacist said they were behind. I said it was supposed to be ready four days ago. I called on Friday about my blood pressure medicine it said it was in the process of being filled would I like a text, I said yes. I went to pick it up Sunday. The drive thru is closed unless you're getting a Covid test. So I had to walk in. then to be told that my prescription is not ready and I would have to wait 15 minutes for it to be ready. it's pretty bad, I'm look for another CVS to go to, it bad when ALL of there rating are low. unbelievable. read more

For more than a year the pharmacy at this CVS has been consistently late with prescriptions/refills. The first few times it happened; I thought they were probably busy, or maybe there is a staffing shortage etc. Recently; I ordered refills and after waiting 13 days, I went to check on my order, which was in the computer, but had not been completed. The Pharmacy Technician requested an expedited fill of the order, which I decided I would return later in the day to pick up. An added insult was because the order was now expedited, the CVS app and an email were now showing that same order with a "pick up by" date of the next day or it would be canceled. However; this last time will be the LAST TIME... It's time to move to a better managed pharmacy. read more

Thankfully I was able to switch to home delivery through Express Scripts, so I can get my meds in 2-3 days, which is actually faster than standing in line at this location. Just awful. My daughter's doctor sent a prescription to this CVS She got a phone call from the pharmacist stating they don't have the prescription. When my daughter called her doctor the doctor told my daughter yes they do, the doctor could see the prescription through the computer. I would give them zero stars if I could. This pharmacy is incompetent and they gave me the wrong information and switched my bill and the GoodRX coupon I gave them without my knowledge. Someone should lose their job for the dishonesty as it was blatant. I called the day before asking if they had a 10ml vial of my medication. They indicated "Yes". I had my doctor send in the prescription digitally. I went in to pick up my prescription and gave them the GoodRX coupon for ONE 10 ml vial of my medication. They bagged and staples my prescription and changed the GoodRX coupon to TEN 1ml vials without me knowing and without any explanation. The cost for my requested coupon was $39.60. He changed the coupon to whatever it is for TEN 1ml vials and charged me $68. I needed my prescription and did not want to have to cancel and call up every other pharmacy to see if they are incompetent also. I will go back tomorrow and request the difference. Even if I do get my refund I will never go back as they do not know the difference between TEN1ml bottles and ONE 10ml bottles. What is the difference you ask? My prescription is .55ml per injection. So a 1ml vial is not even good for 2 injections. Every vial ends up as wasted medication. read more

0 stars if I could. Honestly seems like the only job requirement to work in this CVS pharmacy is to be a despicable human being. Went to get some antibiotics after a surgery (very very important to stay healthy and not get an infection. Was supposed to start taking them immediately). She (the pharmacist) said she wouldn't fill the prescription because she was the only employee in at the time and "that's what I have employees for". Obviously I couldn't take that as an answer as I needed them immediately so I refused to leave and she finally fills the prescription and sets it on the counter. I then attempt to be civil and wish her a "happy holidays" to which she responded "no. it's merry christmas. what are you, a dirty money grabbing jew?" and I informed her that yes, I am Jewish and will be celebrating Hanukkah but fully supported her Christian beliefs. She immediately grabbed the prescription off the counter and started screaming "he has a gun somebody call the cops". Please, please, for your own safety and well-being, go to any other pharmacy on planet earth. I swear it was like a fever dream. I genuinely believed it was all just a hallucination as side effects of the sedation I was under until the police came to take me into the station. At which point we reviewed the security camera footage which obviously showed I possessed no weapons not reached into my pockets in any manner that would suggest aggressive behavior. This is my go-to spot when I forget something and I'm willing to pay a little extra to drive farther and avoid long lines. It has a little of everything to include higher end brands of hair care and nail polishes which was a nice surprise for my inner girly-girl. The staff is always friendly no matter what time of the day. It's cool you can rack up points to collect at at the end of their quarter to use as $$ off of future purchase. I just wouldn't come here if you're trying to pinch pennies. Also, having two Redbox's in front of it makes it a one-stop shop for me most nights. We had to have a script for Blood Glucose Test Strips filled and we felt it was urgent. 200 strips were priced at $300+ before insurance was factored. We have an average insurance policy and we're asked to pay $247 dollars. I understand it is our insurance that determines how much they help. However this is an over the counter purchase and we discovered too late that Amazon name brand would have run $120 and generic would have been below $50. I will be making a complaint to my insurance company about the gouging of costs by CVS. read more

Today 9/18/14 I came to get a script filled at 5:30pm. I took my script to the pharmacy hand it to the Pharmacy manager as he was the one at the drop off window.He enters all this stuff in then tells me oh your missing dosage on here. OK I say can you call to fix the issue? I'm told NO not tonight were busy! "Excuse me there's 2 people sitting and waiting, there's 5 techs behind counter and your telling me not a one can make the call?" So I walk away and call my drs office get the information but it's not acceptable which I understand. Ok so I ask him if he could call real quick as they were on the way out the door. He says No have them call me! I probably could have walked outside and made the call myself. Smh. We had the same issue yesterday with this same place! They are lazy! Also inside the store there are cart with products just sittin in with empty shelfs. I bet I could empty the carts and fill the shelves before they even decided to. Also the pharmacy manager Jeff is who took my prescription! You would think he had better customer service skills. At 6:05pm I walked back in to see if my script was done. this CVS is actually completely out of the way but for some reason i wasn't paying attention and got my prescriptions filled here. I really liked coming here at first. But i did have a not so pleasant experience at the pharmacy area once before. So, i am sure they were a little busy and that, i can completely understand and i don't really mind waiting for a bit. But when it was my turn to get my stuff i also had a few items i was going to just check out there, thinking it was more convenient. well, i was wrong.i put my stuff on the counter and she picked it up and got angry because it wasn't scanning. it was also on sale, but it wasn't ringing up at sale price ,at that time i didn't wanna bother and ask since she already was so angry about EVERYTHING for no reason. I'm sorry, but i have a job too and i treat people the way they want to be treated. i value my job and I think its extremely unprofessional to show your angri-ness and attitude while you have customers. The pharmacy service at this location has become so poor in the last 3-6months. They no longer seem to have RXs ready on time despite ample time and a directed pick up time. I've had numerous problems with "redi-fill" RXs. The lines inside and out are dreadful. Your lucky to get someone who doesn't give you an attitude, as if its your fault the RX you were told to pick up at 2pm isn't ready for pick up when you arrive at 7p and that waiting another 15+ minutes or until the next day is a completely acceptable alternative after waiting in line for over 20 minutes. I'd recommend using the CVS on Annapolis Rd (New Disney) instead. Don't waste your time. read more

These corporate chains are generally all the same, however this CVS here in Severn breaks the mold. When entering I am usually greeted before I can take two steps in the door by a courteous and helpful staff member. That's always nice, however today I happened to be trying to purchase some juice nothing big, but I kept finding out of dates. I brought this to the cashiers attention, and brought the out of date products to the front for her, just to remove the product from the shelf, no big deal, I worked in retail for years and these things happen. the cashier apologized and thanked me for my politeness and gave me the product gratis! Dumbfounded I said thank you and fthen I felt obligated to write this. Normally in that type of situation you can expect a dirty look or an attitude, and the idea of the customer getting a discount or a freebie is unheard of. these big corporations usually don't value a single customer, I guess their mindset is you lose one you gain a hundred more through sheer necessity. This was a pleasant surprise and it brings to mind a simpler time of appeasing the customer and valuing each sale. Maybe I got lucky, but I'll remember that cashier going out of her way, thank you very much. read more
