I didn't dislike it; it was just okay. The fries were good and fresh. I don't really go for the battered fries, but if you like that batter you'll love these. They were definitely hot and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. They were really kind. I was a regular when we were in the old office. Staff was always nice. Prices were cheap. Sandwiches and salads were good here. They weren't gourmet, but what do you want for a single digit price for a sandwich in 2019. I checked the old credit card bills in early 2020 prior to Covid, and looks like the last time I went to Jae's was on Monday, March 2, 2020. Unfortunately, that pesky Covid killed me going to Jae's as I go to the office a lot less these days as working from home has been the default even now in 2025.
