While I have CVS Pharmacy locations closer to where I live, I drive by this particular location every now and then and have sometimes stopped by to pick up an occasional item. I have interacted with the staff, purchased health products, and browsed the shelves for other items over the years. The store is usually in good order and rather clean. I have also been at this location when restocking is taking place. Sometimes there are boxes laying around the store though usually, everything is neatly in its place. The staff have been helpful when I have asked for assistance. If there is someone near the front of the store, they have often said hello when I have entered the store. Sometimes they are stocking items on the aisles until someone is ready to check out. Sometimes there is a wait for someone to come and assist at checkout if you aren't using the self-checkout machines. The staff have always been knowledgeable based on items in stock. I encourage everyone to sign up for ExtraCare, which is a free membership and includes sales prices, deals for you, 2% back in ExtraBucks rewards, a $3 birthday reward, and up to $50 in ExtraBucks rewards at the pharmacy. This CSV had a lot of stuffed animals and toys compared to ones I have been to in the past. They have a variety of items with multiple brands. Also the line at the check out is pretty slow and they just have more stuff for you to look at. I probably could have picked up and eaten a whole candy bar then finally paid for it at check out. Another unfortunate downside is they close at 6:00PM on weekends. read more

They've shorted me on my Rx multiple times and I don't realize until I run out as my script is for 90 days and they won't count out 145 pills in front of you. When I found out I ran out they said I waited too long to contact them...and now you can't even get to talk to the pharmacy there's the most annoying robot that doesn't give you the option to talk to the pharmacy. Instead it says leave a voicemail and we'll callback in an hour, well guess what THEY DONT CALL YOU BACK! How am I supposed to get help other than having to drive over there. They've also filled my script as a 30day script when it's 90days and now I have to get an entirely new prescription because they can't read!! These ppl are overworked and you don't have enough staff. You guys like to operate with a bone dry team, where you have the smallest amount working possible. read more

An older male staff member standing at the entrance/exit accused me of trying to leave the store without paying for my pads and tampons. While I was waiting for the self-checkout register that accepts cash and credit, he stood behind me as I entered my phone number for my account. I accidentally hit the wrong button and tried to go back. He aggressively asked me, "What are you doing? The alert says 'no account found.' You don't have an account." I explained that I did have an account and correctly entered my number while he watched. I finished my transaction, and he walked behind me as I exited. It was extremely unsettling and embarrassing. I want to share an experience I just had short time ago this morning with the Pharmacy at this location, 7111 Bell Rd, Scottsdale, AZ. I picked up my self pay prescription. I went take my medication and there was something nasty in the lid. I'm not sure what it was exactly. I took the medication back to the pharmacy and explained I wanted a replacement and my concern for allergies. I was sitting in my SUV and the pharmacy window was open. The pharmacy tech went over to pharmacist and under his order peeled the label off the original bottle and put the label on a new bottle. Pharmacy tech then proceeded to pour the pills from the old bottle into new bottle and put a new top on them. Pharmacy tech brought the new bottle, new top & old pills to me. Having watched the whole thing play out in front of my eyes, I questioned the pharmacy tech about her action. She stated yes that is what she just did. Then the pharmacist came over to the window and asked me what was wrong with the bottle. He said we gave you a new top. I asked for new pills expressing my concern of allergies. He said he doubts insurance will cover new pills. I told him, no this is your error you need to comp new pills. The pharmacist would not correct their error. My biggest concern is their practice of dispensing pills in clean containers. I will never use CVS again. I am moving my scripts ASAP!!! CVS you lost a customer today! read more

For every time I've gone to this location, from the moment I walk through the front doors, I have witnessed staff circling and interfering w self check-out area customers..whether it's walking over and taking over the swiping or standing right next to and conversing. Avoid this pharmacy at all costs. Went to pick up my son's prescription, which was called in yesterday at 2pm. It's now the following day at 8:10am, they haven't done anything to fill it. Then they tell me they don't take Goodrx anymore, nor take insurance issued pharmacy benefit cards. During this interaction, the pharmacist has a terrible attitude, and then proceeds to tell me that if I want it, it will be ready after 2 o'clock today. Six hours? For a script you have in stock and should've been filled yesterday? Rude, slow, and could care less about you as the customer. Stay away. read more

This pharmacy is VERY slow, no sense of urgency and a lack of customer service. I had just walked up to get a prescription that was ready (apparently close to their lunch break) and I had a few other items I wanted to get as well. The girl grabbed my prescription and as she proceeds to check me out asks if I can then go up front to pay for the other items because their lunch is in a minute. I am already standing there, in the middle of being checked out so I don't know why this was even being asked. I was then going to get charged for the prescription when I had insurance so I was told that i needed to come back after their lunch, because they needed to re run it. Waste of a trip and I was made to feel like an inconvenience due to their lunch break. Need better training on customer service and sense of urgency at this location. read more

Let me tell you about this CVS Pharmacy location on Bell Rd. I transferred a prescription from Safeway to this CVS location because my CVS Caremark Insurance required it. Let me preface by saying that I know everyone is overworked and underpaid. However, that's not an excuse to not do one's job. First, this CVS pharmacy claimed my medication needed a prior authorization or it would cost me $988. They can't see the authorization that the Dr already sent to Safeway and transfer it over. So, I call my Doctor and have her re-send the prescriptions to CVS. This location claims they never got it. They claim they reached out to the Dr and faxed a request for me. My doctor sends it again. This location claims they never got it. Days later I ask to verify the fax. They have the landline phone. I say "oh ok you're faxing my Dr's landline, here is the fax" The tech says, "we can't take that number from you, your doctor has to call in if the fax is different from what we have on file." Fine. I follow up with my doctor. A few more days pass and now CVS claims they have a prescription for me and a prior authorization but it's still $988. So we are back at square one after one week. Fast forward another week. I call CVS Caremark today and they say, "yes we received your Doctor's authorization. Your medication should be the normal $25 price now." I call this Bell Rd location and they say no it's still $988. I call CVS Caremark back and they give me the pharmacy helpline number and tell me to tell the Pharmacy to call them for help adjusting the price. So 5 hours ago, around 10:00 am I call the pharmacy back, give them the number for the CVS help desk and explain that the last time I missed a dose of my medication I ended up in the hospital with pancreatitis. The tech assured me they would call CVS helpline and get it straightened out. Perfect. Yay!! Except 5 hours later they still hadn't done it. I call this location back and explain to the tech that I need them to call so I don't miss a dose. The tech literally says "well this is our rush hour we don't have time to call CVS Pharmacy helpline." I say, well I told you about this 5 hours ago when it wasn't "rush hour" the tech says "if the pharmacist didn't call it's because she was busy, we will get to it maybe in a couple of hours when our rush hour is up." I say "ok, so what time will that be" she says well I can't guarantee a time. We'll get to it when we can. I said, "I've been waiting two weeks for this medication. She says "it takes time to call CVS Caremark and sometimes they make us wait on hold and we don't have time for that." I say, "I understand you are prioritizing other people's health over mine, however if I miss a dose I end up in the hospital." She says we are not. Sure sounds like it? Two hours later I drive up to the pharmacy and they say it will be 20 minutes before it's ready. I say "ok. I will wait." They come back to the window and say, "you can't wait in the drive thru". I say "it's my turn." She says "pull around or wait inside so we can serve other customers." So once again, they are making it clear other people's prescriptions are a priority for them over mine. Whatever. I go inside and wait. An hour later I finally get my prescription, as I pay my $25 the tech asks if I would like to remind my doctor to send a refill. I said "yes, she has to send a 90 day prescription for it to be covered by insurance." The tech says "I can't even guarantee a 30 day dose will be available next month and it could take 3-4 months to get a 90 day supply." Then her co-worker said "you don't need a prescription if you go to Canada." I said I'm a teacher and can't afford $988 for my prescription nor can I afford to miss work sitting in the hospital with pancreatitis, nor do I have time to go to Canada right now. The tech says "I'm just letting you know we can't fill a 90 day supply, you should talk to your insurance." Unironically , the CVS insurance says they won't cover it unless it's a 90 day supply. So then I ask her if they can partially fill that with what they have - the tech says yes but then the rest of the 90 day prescription won't be covered and I'll have to pay the $988. CVS Caremark said the pharmacy could partially fill it but for it to be covered for the rest of the prescription, that would be up to the pharmacy location to keep track and make that determination. Awesome. I'm pretty sure this location would not prioritize my health, even if I was standing in front of them bleeding out my eyeballs. I understand these folks are overworked and underpaid, but a little compassion when working with the public can go a long way. Imagine if I treated my students like everyone else was more important than they were and said "behold my field of f**ks is barren" (Because I speak in Shakespeare at work) after they waited patiently for me to help them? I'd be fired!! I think I'll switch to the mail order service! read more

I'm extremely disappointed in how the COVID tests are managed, or lack thereof. I had an appointment for testing today and 3 hours before, I received a text saying it was canceled. Unfortunately, this isn't the first negative interaction I've had with this location. The other times myself or family members (shockingly, this happened to others in a separate transaction) have had interactions with Olivia to attempt to test, she texts you pushing to jostle appointments around and ends up canceling your appointment! Not fun when we all needed documentation of a negative test before travel. This location is not reliable for testing needs and leaves you scrambling for other options, which is tough right now. read more

We have a shiny, brand new CVS in the hood! Coming from the Midwest, I was always a Walgreens girl and never saw a CVS unless I was visiting family on the east coast. Since moving to PHX, I've noticed an equality of sorts when it comes to the presence of both brands, so I tend to teeter between the two, based on convenience. This location opened on Sunday, 08Nov15, and the store is open 24/7, which is awesome because everything in this area closes super early. Now we have somewhere close to go for those late night *insert what you need* runs. Of course the store is neat and clean, being that it's still in newborn status. They have some cool things too, like large Darth Vaders (see photo), HUGE stuffed Minnie & Mickey Mouse (mice?), and all sorts of Peanuts swag. I will be returning to snag all things Snoopy. There's a photo center in the front of the store. The pharmacy is in the back. They have a drive-thru as well (...for the pharmacy. Don't pull up trying to get snacks and drank.). Some of the prices on some things were too high, as is typical for drugstores. However, I saw 20% off tags throughout the store, for your money-saving pleasure, and don't forget to sign up for their rewards program to continue the savings every time you shop. Employees were nice and friendly. We were double-greeted when we entered. It's located off of Bell Rd, right before it turns into FLW (at N Scottsdale Rd). We left before and went to another CVS that has now closed and this is the only convenient location to us, we hoped it had gotten better but that's not the case. Sat there for over 5 minutes and even hit the call button and was completely ignored. 1 woman was helping a customer and then went on to the next customer. Showed up and was told by the pharmacy tech that I had the wrong location. No problem, my mistake. Never offered to make a change so I could get the booster right there. FOR THE MINUTE CLINIC My husband and I have traveled from N.C. to visit with my family who lives in Scottsdale. We drove cross country with 2 dogs in the car. Halfway thru our trip, my husbands tooth started to hurt intensely. Once we arrived to Scottsdale, my mom suggested that we go to CVS and visit the minute clinic. We have never heard of that and we have never tried it. But we decided to since my husband was in crazy amounts of pain. We arrive and head straight back to where the minute clinic was located. We had no idea what to do and the lady who was working that section was super friendly and nice. She told us exactly how to check in. The check in process is lengthy but that could have also been because we didn't know what we were doing. Once we finished, we were able to be seen right away. We loved the lady working there! She made for great conversations and was super helpful. My husband had an appointment for dental work back in NC but it was schedule for a few weeks out. The Dr. was able to prescribe some meds to get him through the next few weeks. Thank goodness for her! We were running quickly out of ideas! Props to this wonderful doctor and her ability to help figure out what to give him. He had to take 3 prescriptions but it helped! Thanks for being so wonderful. It was greatly appreciated. read more

All of the reviews about this horribly staffed and lazy pharmacy are true. We got the typical message saying that the prescription was ready and when I got there to pick it up, I was only given 3 excuses as to why the prescription is not there and got told "better luck tomorrow". I was told when I put in for the refill that since it is a sensitive situation, the prescription would be ready by 3 pm but of course that was BS. When it comes to medication and the well being of us as consumers, they need to get their act together. Do yourself a favor and just get your prescription filled elsewhere if possible. Didn't post any review till now, but this is probably a third time when I experienced a bad customer service and unwillingness to help at this location. Walked in today (8-8-19)close to 9pm. Clerk working the evening shift today totally ignored me when I walked in-Not a big deal,ignored it,and proceeded to get what I came in for. He again, rudely replied to me with an attitude that he doesn't know what I'm talking about, making weird face expressions at the same time AND told me that they don't have them here..ok..You supposedly don't know what a kinder surprise egg is but yet say that you don't have it at the store. I said ok, I'll look for them myself since there was another customer behind me so I just paid for my items and went to the candy isle where I found them there. Not a big deal that I had to go and look for them myself but the fact that he was so disrespectful, with a bad attitude was not necessary at all.Ive asked nicely and was polite even though he wasn't so all he had to say that he doesn't know what they are and to check candy isle instead since they weren't at the register. I DEALT WITH A PHARMACIST NAME LEE OR LEAH SHE WAS AWFUL I HAVE A SEVERE CASE OF CHRONS DISEASE I GET PAIN PATCHES EVERY MONTH FOR ABOUR 2 years I've had the condition for 15 years over 20 survives an so on she has the audacity to tell me that she's very suspicious and that she doesn't think I should have that for my age regardless of my condition and how bad it is basically living in the hospital and also my doctor prescribed me to change them every 48 hours instead of 72 like they last for because he's bringing me down on milligrams which I've been doing well on her reference from 75 to 35.5 mg she also was requesting all these random codes which basically made my doctor feel like she's testing his intelligence and also the fact that he's a real doctor so he sent all that information she ended up sending the prescription back asking for more random shit that she didn't need and I had never been asked for in the past two years then I go to my pain appointment the next day and he tells me that the lady LEE OR LEAH CANCELED THE WHOLE THING so I had to suffer for hours searching for another pharmacy when nobody had the 12 mil pay co Ed after he's I found one an was able to get it hours later but THIS LADY HAS A MAJOR ISSUE AN NEEDS TO BE WRITTEN UP AN I MRAY SHE DOSENT GO THREW WHAT US PAIN PATIENTS GO THREW KARMA IF I COUDL GIVE NEGATIVE STARS I WOULD!!!!!!!! read more

I was feeling totally sick and went to the CVS Minute Clinic located at Scottsdale Rd & Bell Road. Kelly went above and beyond and suggested I check into an Urgent Care only to call me within 5 minutes and re-route me to the hospital since she was so concerned with my oxygen levels and possible pneumonia. She was so wonderful and called me again today to see how I am feeling. The hospital personnel were good but no one had the level of care & compassion as Kelly did. I will only go there. read more

Worst Pharmacy in the Valley! Always a hassle, nothing is ever in stock. If you call the automated answer is the longest intro ever, then you are on hold for hours! They never answer the phone. Customer service is nonexistent, staff are extremely rude. They speak over you and don't listen to anything you are saying. I have used CVS for over 10 years this branch is making me want to leave. I recently had a TeleVisit with a Dr. The script for a 10 day supply of antibiotics for a sinus infection was sent at 6:12 a.m the script was not ready until 1:00 p.m. This is completely unacceptable. The Pharmacy NEVER ANSWERS their phone. I was on hold for 50 minutes and still no one answered. I finally called from another phone simultaneously to talk to the store manager. A clerk answered, and I asked him to check and see if the pharmacy was open. He said one moment I'll go check and then never got back to me on the phone. So then I called again and talked to the same clerk and he said he just switched me to the pharmacy line but I said I thought you were going to physically check. Then he said OK I'll go do that. Again, he never got back to me on the phone and I waited over 10 minutes to see if he would come back on the phone. Clearly, these people have no respect for customers. I finally called the store line a 3rd time and got someone else and all he could say was the pharmacy was very busy. I'm sure it was but they couldn't answer the phone once within 50 minutes? This wasn't the first time I had trouble reaching this pharmacy. I also noticed that there was poor customer service every time I went into the store. I would definitely skip CVS and try Walgreens or some other pharmacy. read more
