I dropped and shattered a pretty important vial of medication Sunday morning, so my doctors called in an emergent refill to Omniscript (aka Aleracare Pharmacy) this morning. I called Omniscript probably five minutes after my doctor's office phoned in the medication and let them know I was on my way and would be driving in shortly. Not only did Omniscript turn around this time-sensitive medication in less than an hour for me, their pharmacist also discounted the medication since he felt bad about the whole situation. The staff were extremely generous, quick and helpful. If I need any further compounded medications, I'll definitely be using their services. read more

They have been so good to me. I get my dog's meds from them and have for the last six months. When my vet sent them the request to fill the prescription, I thought it would be ready pretty quickly. After a couple of days and I hadn't had an email saying it was ready, I called them as I was frantic for my dog. They explained to me that it could take up to five days to fill. I told them what was going on with my dog and the next thing I knew (like within 1/2 hour) I got a call back asking if I was having the prescription delivered or picked up. Since then, when I need a refill it's generally ready in a day or two even though I try to adhere to the possible five day timeline. read more

It can take 24 hours or 24 days to get your prescription refilled. They say you can request a rush if they are running behind, but you can't. It is what it is, and there seems to be no sense of urgency or care. I've used the phone refill system and not heard from them only to find out the refill request wasn't received by their own system. The employees are always nice, so I have to imagine that they are working under poor management. Take your business elsewhere. read more

Had a prescription phoned in by my Dr. last week. Waited and called but was told it wasn't ready. The next day I was called to verify information and told that they would call when ready. No call since. I called this morning but could not reach anyone. On the second call, per the recorded outgoing message, I left my phone number. No call back. I've now called the Dr. office to request another pharmacy. The customer service at this location appears to be non-existed. Calls go unanswered and if you're lucky enough to talk with someone, you'll be put off and forgotten like I was. It's too bad there aren't more options for services such as this. If they think they got a corner on the market, forget any customer service. They don't feel there's a need for it. Extremely poor service at this location. read more

Stay on top of your refill requests. After waiting for a week I called and asked the status and they said that they had sent the request the day that I called, I then called my veterinarian and they said that they got no such request so I had them go ahead and send it in. I guess pet prescriptions go on the back burner. It's a good thing that I called it in 20 days early and I get 3 months worth. Have had pretty good experience with this company in the past. Although on the high end they called me when my script was ready and always offered delivery. This last time 0 call and they charged me the same for a 3 month supply as a 4 month supply. They said it's our " pricing model" well I dont know about anyone else but what that said to me is we will take advantage of you wherever we can.... because we can. This is hands-down the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. Unfortunately it's the only pharmacy for my dogs breathing medications. More times than I can count I've had to place his refill prescription 3x because their automated refill system sucks. They want it reordered within 5 days of needing a refill but half the time they "didn't get your refill request" and then you have to wait even longer because you have to place the request again. My dog is almost out of breathing meds and this air is horrible on his lungs. Get rid of the automated refill system if it doesn't work. It's supposed to be convenient for people like me who work long hours and don't really have the opportunity to call and speak to a live person. read more

I pay out of pocket so I decided to call around to other compounding pharmacies, found a place that had faster fill times, much much nicer AND turned out to be MUCH cheaper that Aleracare. Don't let these people make you feel like you're in the Seinfeld "No Soup For You" episode. (Seriously, that's how they made me feel!) I've had prescriptions filled twice at this location and both times it took 5+ days to get them. They marked off that I denied a consolation in person (I did not) My second prescription was critical because my hen was quickly getting sicker and desperately needed the medication. My vet's office called them twice with no response so I drove a total of two and a half hours to pick up the medication and they still didn't have it ready. By the time I got back, she was dead. If you have a critical medication, show up in person ASAP. My beloved hen is dead because it took 5 days to give me medication it took 10 minutes to prepare. read more

Horrible customer service. Since I've been going there, they said lead time is 3 days, which I've been prepared for. The last couple of months they were producing it in 1 day. I called to check on my latest refill (called in 4 business days ago) and was told it's suddenly 5 days. I asked supervisor for it to be "expedited" since I'm out and feeling sick. They apparently could care less and said wait till tomorrow. Also, both times I used their automated line, my requests were simply LOST and I'd be put at the end of the queue days later when it was due. Even so, I never ran out and never complained until now. So, I see many bad reviews for this place, but most of them are from 2021. I'm not sure if they've restructured or paid attention to reviews, all I know, EVERY time I call, (even if I'm 3rd in line to be spoken to), they answer the phone and have been very helpful to me. They've been kind, helpful and never given me a reason to get angry. I was in need of IV lines for my kittys IV fluids, and they not only had them waiting for me at the desk, they kept them there after I had to reschedule being able to pick them up due to 2 critically sick kittys, (one of which we since lost). I finally called and asked if it was possible to have them mailed. I apolidgized for not getting there, but they understood. They took my info, and told me they will be delivered tomorrow. I'll update this review if I never receive them. As far as people not getting their "compounded" meds fast enough, like another reviewer said, it takes time and you want hem to have good quality control, no? when making compounded meds! Plus, the pandemic has made many, MANY things unavailabl, and this may include some of the ingredients in your pets meds! Be diligent and try to order ahead of time, and for new scripts, be patient, if they don't pull thru for you, call, wait on line, don't leave a message, and talk with THE PHARMASCIST, (get their name), and see what the delay is and explain your urgent need! That's advice I can offer, but my experience with them thus far has been great and hope it is for you too. Always remember to be KIND when speaking to ANY person working as they deserve to be respected, and you'll also probably have a better experience with them (or anyone). read more

Giving a 3 star rating because twice they have forgotten to send the syringes needed to inject the medication they sent me. I wonder how they think I can use the medication without any syringes?? The first time, my dr. office called to let them know and they shipped them, but it was too late as I already had to find an alternate source of the syringes so I could use the medication. The second time... well, it looks like they haven't gotten any better. But I have some extra syringes, so I will use those. They have good friendly staff. But they messed up my specialty drugs all the time. And then the delivery service was a complete nightmare. They used to have a private person come drop them of at a designated time frame, which I would make sure I was home to sign for. Then they switched to Fedex and I missed them every single time. If you care about your health, stay away from this place. I had called back in March, looking for a new pharmacy to get my medication for my nebulizer for lung problems. I had moved and the last pharmacy couldn't get it at the time. Alex, told me no problem. Then I asked about some compounds that are made especially for me. I mean after all, they list themselves as a Compounding Pharmacy. She said she would have to check. Well, I got a call back and guess what... right, even though they are a compounding pharmacy, they couldn't do mine! I waited for my nebulizer medication, because I still had some. I didn't need it in April due to a change by the Dr. Now, this is medication in little vials pre-boxed. So, in May (last Friday), I called to refill the prescription. I was told the woman who did that was gone and she would call me Monday. I said call me for what? The doctor had sent in the prescription, it was pre-boxed and approved. I said I would pick it up. Well, she would have to call on Monday. OK. Guess what.... She didn't. Tuesday, I get a voice mail from Alex saying to call, to set up either pick up or delivery. You would think that if you are being asked to call to set up pick up or delivery, that the prescription was all set. Not at this place! I didn't call Tuesday, because it was too late. Mind you, this is now 5 days since I called about my prescription that was on file. I wasn't waiting for a fried chicken dinner, or a pizza - I was calling about medication for my lungs! I don't know about you, but to me, that would be important to take care of, breathing is a good choice. Wednesday, I try calling, but the machine tells me I am number 5 in line. I am waiting, but about 15 minutes later, I am in the same position, and it is getting late. Not wanting to miss them before closing, I stay on the phone, put it on speaker and get in the car. Finally, still in the same position I take their option to leave a message and did saying that I was on my way. I get there in time, finally find the place in this complex - no driving up to the front door here. I walk in, speak to a guy - who obviously was busy and could have cared less. Next was a woman, who can't find it after looking in 3 different places twice. I tell her that I spoke to Alex. Just keeps looking. Asks me to spell my name again, and then asks if that my whole last name. Can't find it. Then a 3rd guy. He checks the computer again... in case it magically just appeared. I asked what the problem is. He said there isn't a file on me. I tell him again, I spoke to Alex a few times, the Dr had sent in the prescription, how could there not be a file? I actually played the voice mail for him. He said that didn't mean it was ready. I said it was now 6 days. He checked with someone else... still not there. He said he could try to have it delivered the next day or gave Alex call. I asked if he was kidding and said no. This was medication... and not for an ingrown toe nail. Again, it was for my lungs - you know... to breathe! I walked out, saw a Walgreens across the street, walked in and got my medication. So in the end, Vasco - the "specialty pharmacy" , can't make compounds, and needs a week or more to get a pre- boxed medication needed for breathing ready in their pharmacy. Not to order it, but to take off the shelf! I don't know about you, but to me this isn't a specialty pharmacy, or even a place that I want to walk back through the door. I hope this helps someone else, before you make the same mistake and get stuck trying to get a medication that everyone except them knows is important, and apparently, neither are you. read more

We counted on Vasco to refill our beloved dog Zoey's heart medication for several years. Thank you Vasco for making her medication and making her final years so much better. As I read some of these reviews, I wonder if these customers understand just what a compounding pharmacy is and how it differs from a retail pharmacy. The first time I went there the pharmacist explained to me that because my Zoey was such a small dog that she needed a custom strength that was not made by a drug company and that the pharmacy would be making that strength just for her. I learned that because Vasco makes custom medications that it could take 5-7 days because they make custom medication for thousands of other customers like my Zoey. They don't just pull a bottle off the shelf and count out the pills like a regular pharmacy. Thank you again Vasco! read more

As a member of the medical community, I am appalled by the lack of profesionalism, knowledge, and diligence of Vasco's billing department. In addition to highly unorganized and suspect billing practices, Vasco failed to ensure the secure retention of my patient information in their medical record. Moroever, Vasco's billing staff neglected to bill me for rendered services in a timely manner and in accordance with insurance laws pursuant to prompt patient billing. Thus, I received a billing statement '16 months' after the rendering of my serivce. Further, Vasco alleged submitting a required EOB (Explanation of Benefits) to obtain payment for the rendered service. However, according to my insurance company, they never received any billing information from Vasco. SHAME ON VASCO corporate and their management staff for failing to ensure patients are recipients of securely documented, accurate, expeditious, and quality billing services. I strongly encourage patients to avoid being a victim to the inconvenience and stress of addressing and resolving Vascos' problematic billing actions by considering other speciality pharmaceutical / infusion related service providers!! read more

Super disappointed in the experience. Had a medication prescribed for my dog on Monday. Told by the vet that I'd soon receive a call from vasco about it being delivered. Didnt receive a call so had to call the vet and have them resend over the prescription after I called vasco and they said they didn't have one. So now we are on Wednesday. Finally got the RX through and said I'd get a call when it was ready. Got a text the next day and called to ask about when it would be delivered. They said Next day. Called Friday after no delivery and they said it was waiting shipment and that because it was refrigerated (news to me) that it wouldn't be delivered til Monday. So 7 days for anti diarrhea meds. Couldn't go another day with my dog uncomfortable so, went out of my way for pick up. Meds worked and she was better that night. Wish that would have happened sooner. Poor communication, poor follow up and unorganized. Wouldn't recommend unless its the only option, then expect a delay and lots of follow up needed. read more

Even though I didn't actually get to go there for my Prolia, I'm so impressed w/ the caring attitude of this place! I'm disabled and in need of the aforementioned medication which my spouse's health insurance won't cover and Medicare said that even though I'm disabled, I'm not 65, so I'm in limbo about not breaking like a sheet of glass if someone hugs me too hard or I get bumped. Amgen sent me in circles for over 2-1/2 months. But Taylor, along w/ the nurses at my rheumatologist's office have been working very hard at trying to help me w/ a solution which is affordable. I didn't know Vasco existed until I moved to this side of town and started working at the animal hospital near Vasco my dog is on tacrolimus and in surprise I was paying $79 a bottle at Vasco I'm only paying $59. my schedule 12 hour days I called for a refill and explain to the pharmacist that I only had one day off if he could possibly have it ready by the next day typically they would like 48 hour notice ....understandably so. Filling prescription at my hospital I do realize sometimes it's tough to get prescriptions filled when you're busy however he accommodated me and I really appreciate it the staff has always been kind on the phone and in person when I've gone to pick up the medication I would highly recommend Vasco pharmacy not only as a animal health care professional but I use them for my own dog read more

These guys were FANTASTIC - went way above and beyond! I was rushing to get a compounded Zantac prescription filled for my 6 month old on a Friday, since we're trying to wean her from a PPI medication - the nights have been BRUTAL and she just started reacting to the corn in the standard suspension. (Those of you who have/had a GERD baby will understand.) They called me at 5:03pm that the script was ready, and I told them I would rush over. Unfortunately traffic was bad and I knew I wasn't going to make it. I had resolved myself to suffering through another couple of miserable nights until we could get pick up the script on Monday. A few minutes later they called me to ask if I was on my way and stayed open until 5:40pm! I'm so grateful as now myself, my husband, and my daughter will all get much more sleep this weekend than we otherwise would have :-). read more

Recently, my partner Denise was assigned to Vasco to obtain specialized critical drugs. I have been involved in the process and I found the experience to be excellent. I dealt with techs Wendy and Imanda, and Pharmacist Tina. The drugs are super expensive and Vasco was very helpful making sure we were covered. The customer service on the phone was excellent and they were very helpful with any questions I had. Horrible pharmacy and if my cat dies because of their negligence i am suing them. Took three weeks 5/22-6/10 to finally get a rx refilled and they never called after i have made four calls to them over that time period. They either cant work the phone or the fax machine because they couldnt get a refill from the vet or call me to say they were incompetent and couldnt get the refill. Now my cat has gone more than week without her heart meds and could die. read more

This is the worst compounding pharmacy I've ever encountered. They quoted a price on a very expensive medicine and when I went to fill it within two weeks they upped the price. Here is the thing - they are a specialty pharmacy - I don't use them for 'normal stuff' I can get at CVS, but for compounding they are essential. So I work around all of the issues with phone refills and just talk to someone. All told, they are one of the only and best compounding pharmacies around. No grief - and I can actually go by and pick up my orders in person - my other one was in San Diego and had no choice to pick up if I needed to. Compounding pharmacies are few and far between!
