Despite its $13-14 price tag and over-the-counter status, my insurance has always covered it, yet they insisted otherwise without offering real help. In contrast, when I contacted the Walgreens on E McDowell Rd, the difference was immediate. Although they were out of stock, they explained that their usual supplier no longer carries the product and offered to order it from a new provider. That level of effort and transparency was exactly what I needed. Because of this, I've transferred all my prescriptions to the E McDowell location. They even call to notify you if a prescription will be delayed--something the previous location never did. Their professionalism and customer care are a breath of fresh air. They are always so pleasant to speak with or communicate by text. If I ask them questions, they respond almost instantly and if they aren't sure about something on my order, they email and text me right away. Seriously, it's as though I'm their only customer! My doctor was the one to suggest I fill my scripts at Civic Center Pharmacy. When I asked her why, she smiled and said, "They have better prices".
