The absolute WORST pharmacy. So unhelpful. Waited unnecessarily for a prescription pick up. They kept saying there was an issue. The only issue was apparently not giving me the option just to pay out of pocket if insurance wasn't covering subscription. Spending 2 hours waiting in a parking lot- while they play phone tag with my doctors office -is not worth the time they made me wait, to not even have it fixed in 2 hours. Unbelievable. Why it wasn't covered is a whole other issue. Will DEF us different pharmacy next time. Never again! read more

Probably one of the worst CVS's I've ever gone to. Total incompetence. I've had 3 bad experiences with them in a short time. They screw up and make no apologies for their incompetence. I think I need to start trying a new pharmacy. I read many reviews and saw numerous complaints and one star ratings with no response or apology from any manager which says volumes. I wish I read them before I just transferred all my meds to this location because I just moved to Saugus. read more

I have never experienced a cvs like this. The wait times are nuts at the pharmacy. The have a nasty habit of announcing your med and asking where it is. By name. I have never experienced a pharmacy tech yelling at me or having an attitude the way I do here. Don't get me started on the front cashiers. read more

Worst pharmacy on the planet! My mom had surgery today and I was there for 45 minutes trying to pick up her meds. The pharmacist finally shows up bc the other can't help and he was the rudest person I've ever dealt with. Then they made me get back in line where 1 employee is checking people out and the rest of the staff which was 6 people including the rude pharmacist were joking and laughing and dicking around like it was a party. Frankly, I'm surprised that this Saugus CVS does not sell beer or any alcohol. Is this a MA thing? Or is it a CVS thing? Or a Saugus thing? Anyway, this CVS has a decent selection of foodstuffs like peanut butter, jelly, milk, yogurt -- all the stuff you need when traveling with little kids. Sadly, when traveling with little kids, adults sometimes need a drink at the end of the day to unwind, but it looks like you'll have to get your alcohol someplace else. read more

Waited in line for ages before I decided to try the outside line (thinking the person in front of me was having an issue with their prescription) and was told they aren't servicing the outside lane. I suggested they remove the sign that says they are.. I then had to loop around and wait at the back of the line and start all over. Very frustrating. read more

Today I went to CVS to purchase some Sally Hansen nail products because I had coupons for them. Without even trying the shift supervisor Laura, said she can't use multiple of this coupon. It states one coupon per purchase, I'm purchasing four, I should be able to use 4. It does not state one per transaction or any other limits. And CVS coupon policy states they can use multiple coupon if it applys. After I told her nevermind that I'll go to a different CVS, as I was walking away and I looked back, I can see her talking to her staff and looking at me and laughing. How RUDE. Happened twice there. The coupon did work at the other CVS I went to. I give them two stars cause a few of the other staffs are pretty awesome. read more

I often stop at the route one southbound location on my way home from work around 1 or 2 am. Most of the time there is one or two employees. Last night I went in to see 5+ employees unloading and stocking the shelves after a huge delivery. I asked them how corona virus was effecting their business and they told me it was only the calm before the storm. I asked one of the guys near the Lysol section if he knew where I could find any disinfectant spray or wipes. He told me if I didn't mind waiting a few minutes he saw some come in off the truck and didn't mind going out back to sort through to find me what I needed. He did just that. To me that is customer service. He went above and beyond and that should not go unappreciated. read more

Once loved this store. Terrible manager argues with customers about pricing, someone "moved" the item to the wrong price tag. But that was not true, the title on the package was exact for the price tag, and it didn't expire. This was after they tried to say it was for a different item. They shouldn't try to debate something of this nature without knowing anything about the product in question. Really. 1.5 hours to wait to put 15 pills in a bottle? So the surgeon took 45 mins to implant two screws in my jaw and cvs needs 1.5 hours to put.15 pills in a bottle? Love the fact this CVS is open 24 hrs/day. It's convienent and well stocked. Haven't used the pharmacy here, but the shopping is usually reasonably priced and with the CVS card....can be even cheaper. read more

I went to the pharmacy and I had a $5 cvs bucks coupon ... Now Im not stupid by any means but it does not state on the receipt that you can not use it for prescriptions... The woman behind the pharmacy counter insisted that it's federal law to not use a coupon on medication were and when? But all I said was well if it's not printed on there it's a valid assumption that you can use your bucks to get them if you earn them from getting your medicine it's just a valid assumption ... Instead of just nodding or dismissing me she insisted on being snoody and sarcastic with me and said "well why don't I just call corporate and tell them to put it on the receipt" now at this point I'm like ok you don't have to be a b***h paid for my meds and now I was stuck with a coupon for $5 cvs bucks and it expired the next day wtf do you buy other than candy in a cvs for $5 smfh there's no point in gaining points from your medicine if you can't inturn use it to pay for your medicine!! read more

I went to drop off a rx for my daughter who just had her wisdom teeth out. Plenty of people working behind the pharmacy on their phones ear buds in. Finally someone that stepped out from behind the pharmacy suggested I move closer so they could see me? Really? Stood another 5 minutes someone acknowledged my presence, stood another 5-7 minutes. Finally I asked can someone's lease help me. A pharmacist came running over. The woman who originally told me to move closer, acknowledged she had told the person who was suppose to help me do her job but must have her ear buds in. This is typical CVS! The staff must have recently changed......... not pleasant as before. Went in this weekend Sat late afternoon and the young lady behind the counter gave me the hardest time about using 2 coupons. I had two items and two separate coupons. After going back & forth with her she stated she'd do as a courteous but never again. Funny!!!!!! No thanks! HIPAA violation. Be careful with what you pick up at the pharmacy if you're not using the drive through. I was surprised the woman at the counter exclaimed "the birth control?" with a smirk when I was picking it up with a line of people behind me. Usually pharmacists only say "just one?" Or "two?" But not this person. I feel bad for whoever comes in here needing to pick up a worse prescription, like hemorrhoid cream for example, because everyone around you is gonna know you've got an issue with your backside! I shouldn't be, but it made me very uncomfortable. Nobody around knows I'm using this to keep acne under control, they could think I sleep around or something. Dropped by the CVS is Saugus next to Joanne Fabrics to pick up allergy pills for my wife, as she had a severe allergy to something she ate. The doctor said I can give you a prescription, but it would take a little time. He suggested that CVS would be quicker than the hospital. We arrived at the CVS and we informed the Pharmacist that was Indian wth glasses if she could rush the prescription as my wife is at her mercy with the severe itching. The Pharmacist said I is still going to take 25 minutes. Don't come to this CVS Pharmacy if you need a prescription filled quickly as it won't happen. She was very rude and unprofessional. read more

Takes hours to days to get simple prescriptions filled. Per a CVS pharmacy employee they are completely understaffed. When I called to check on a refill I was lied to. The pharmacy employee saying "we're working on it right now" only to come back 4 hours later and the drive thru person said it wasn't done yet. I sat and refused to move from the drive thru til it was filled. I'm switching to Walgreens. Cvs is The Worst pharmacy! read more

This CVS is the best! Everything is updated, well-lit, and clean! The staff was super nice and helpful and really genuinely cool, especially the supervisor, Francis. He helped us out by accepting a couple recently expired coupons, and brought our total purchase down to almost half! The store and staff are spectacular. read more

here's the true breakdown of this location..basically there are a bunch of ooold motels in the area...those motels have been turned into shelters...so the people in that area CLEAR THE SHELVES. This location needs to restock more..I don't think they are viewing the flow of customers properly...They do alot of business.....but there's ALLLLLLLLWAYS only 1 cashier..and alot of time shit is out of stock... OH AND THIS IS STILL MALDEN SO....it's crackhead galore in this CVS. get more employee covering registers...and restock more...then I wont bitch..... I have had to transfer several prescriptions to CVS for insurance reasons and am so pleased with this location. They have been able to quickly transfer prescriptions over and fill them. I've had nothing but excellent - polite, prompt and accommodating- service. read more

The pharmacy at this location is the worst I have ever been to. On this occasion, my daughter talked to a person working at the pharmacy about a prescription her doctor had just given her. The person told her it would be ready in 20 minutes. We were unable to wait so I decided I'd come back for the prescription later that night. When I got there they couldn't find the prescription and kept asking me if it was one that had been filled before. Three times I explained that it was a new prescription and my daughter had gone in hours earlier and had been told it would be ready in 20 minutes. 3 hours later and they can't find it. Finally I"m told that the prescription is actually at the Walgreens. When I asked why they had told my daughter that it would be ready in 20 minutes the excuse was that the person wouldn't have known the prescription was being filled at Walgreens. Then I asked why they wouldn't have given me a courtesy call to tell me "hey, your prescription isn't here so don't bother coming back. Go to Walgreens instead before they close." Their incompetence and complete disregard for good customer service lead me to not be able to get the prescription today and made me waste my time going to their store and sitting there for longer than necessary to be told it wasn't there. I will never use a CVS pharmacy again. My business will be going to Walgreens. read more
