Unfortunately once again the aisles did not match up with items on the CVS app for Iphone. However I did find my toothbrush I wanted on sale for $4. I also stumbled upon a reusable sandwich bag on super sale from $17 to $2, but it's super dusty and dirty so I'm hoping I can clean it up enough to use. I found a hair clip on sale and thought that the fathers day life is good stuff was on sale for 75% off but when I did a price check it was regular price. So that was confusing. I also got a hallmark harry potter card, but pricey $15... however thanks to some coupons I got some $ off. Plenty of parking and I used self check out. read more

"Machine is not working" meanwhile all they have to do is read the instructions on the printer to help them fix it. 99% of the times a CVS printer has a paper jam or is out of paper really not that big of a deal when someone actually wants to help. First, let me share this pharmacy is extremely busy. Calls are answered in no less than 15/16 minutes. I want to emphasize the Pharmacist on duty and the supportive staff are outstanding - very professional and courteous - just way understaffed. Second, stock items in the pharmacy area is sporadic and lacks across the board. I live locally and go in for Pepcid or Tums, band aids (all nieces and nephews) and/other items like Bendadryl, and in most cases, stock is usually limited or non-existent. Third, the fridge section of this store is awful. I opened the door to grab milk and the smell was horrendous. The few milk items were close to expiration, and again, the stock items were limited. I immediately reported the smell to the front counter staff, but things have not improved. I went in a couple days later to grab a prescription, went to the cooler to grab an item and the smell was again horrendous. The fridge/cooler needs to be cleaned and sanitized. CVS - shame on you! A health-based company performing like this is ridiculous. Complacency is a detriment. Given how busy this location is, I would expect more. Considering a change to Walgreens up the road. read more

This place is a nightmare! Drive through pharmacy has been closed forever! Go inside and while there are 8 people behind the pharmacy counter, you stand there trying to figure out which line to get in... they have counters for consultation, pick up, drop off, but no one in sight to help... I have recently changed insurance, and had changed it when picking up the last script but they didn't enter it into the system, so I was sent to a different line to fix that, then sent back to another line to get the script. After expressing my dismay with the whole process, the blue haired young lady blatantly stood in the group of the 8 people talking about me! Not mentioned is the store was dirty and there were several customers walking around asking questions, clearly a very inefficient place both retail and pharmacy! Stay away from this place! read more

A solid CVS location with friendly and helpful staff. Always stocked up on everything you need and have great sales after each holiday.

I usually abide by the law of if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything. However this CVS Pharmacy NEVER EVER EVER answers their pharmacy line. EVER. So when I can't for reasons unknown place an order online, I have to actually sitt in line at the drive thru just to speak with someone. Have literally wasted hours on hold that I will never get back. When I called CVS in N Andover which is closer to my offices, the Pharmacist herself picked up the phone after just 2 rings. I was so happy I almost cried. Other than some tall guy named Jeff who is always pleasant to deal with and the only positive - go elsewhere if you value your time. read more

CVS is now located in an inconvenient spot, but its new, larger and for elderly/handicap it does have a drive through pharmacy which is appealing. CVS's original location was small, a big cramped and located on the other side of Redstone where Pet Life is now. They had a back entrance to the pharmacy or just to get into the store from the rear of Red Stone, which I liked since I always come the back way in and if I needed to run in I would go through the back. The new location. They moved a few years ago to what seemed like a great spot, the other end of Redstone where the old Cherry and Webb building that they used for the Halloween store every year. That was knocked down and they rebuilt the area. It was like they were going to revamp that side of Redstone, no such luck. Ames is still empty. So are the other store fronts along that strip. The CVS parking lot is such an awkward design and it's frustrating. You would like to think you could exit/enter easily but the parking lot is a one way/dead end and you need to go a little out of the way. It isn't too bad, it eliminates traffic IN the actual parking lot, so that is smart on their part, it just catches you the wrong way if you aren't aware. Also that there is no cut through in the back to the lot next door, like if you wanted to go to Three Amigos, LyLy Nails or one of the other businesses in that lot; you'd have to drive out and drive into the next lot, you can't even really walk through, I think maybe that should have been in the design. The location although it's a little tough, it's a great store. I'd much rather got to CVS than Walgreens and I live on the other side of town. My prescription goes here, no problems with them that I have come across; ever at this location while at both the old location and the new one. Overall, not a terrible store. No real issues to contend with. Staff is helpful and quick. Store is new and clean with updated look. read more

Worse than awful. They don't answer the phone. They are woefully understaffed. Their prices are just silly. If they paid people a decent wage, maybe they could hire and retain good people. It's so frustrating. I only go when I have a Rx to be filled same day and that has been very difficult. I wouldn't go there for any other reason and even then it's frustrating. Too bad. Just waited 20 minutes in the drive thru so the lady in front of me could fill 3 family members prescriptions at once. Finally its my turn ,only to be told that the prescription they've had for the past week wasn't approved through my insurance but somehow she miraculously got it through in the 2 seconds I was at the window but now ill have to come back later to pick it up!! Are you kidding me?? Did I mention this has been a standing prescription for the past 2 years??? This CVS is a complete mess. A few things were on sale at the CVS in Stoneham so I made the cold, virus infested trip. I bought vitamins and picked up a prescription which sold for about 11% more than the counter price in the new display. Given the memory of past positive experiences I let the few dollars pass. When we got to the humidifiers that was buy one get one the end was in sight. The usual line of customers had been discussing the hideous treatment they had received of late from the cashier. I thought it might have been just the time and place situation affecting all. Well, I was wrong, absolutely wrong. The cashier figuratively bit my head off. I asked for the manager and she responded that she was a supervisor. So I repeated my request in a very nice tone - due to her extraordinary state of agitation. She called for the manager. He asked her about the circumstances and she simply repeated her story. Neither individual was the least bit interested in anything I might have had to say. The manager was clearly new and only interested in massaging the cashier. The manager appeared somewhat comatose so the matter ended there. Stay away from this place. Wakefield, in my somewhat limited experience, has been professional as well as helpful. There hasn't been any offensive behavior there. read more

I spend A LOT of money here with my coupons- I get lots of 20,25 and 30% off. Save a lot but prices are quite high compared to stop and shop or Amazon so also spend a lot. Convenience can go a long way. I had a 32% off coupon. I bought one item of a buy 2 get money off the second item. I didn't need 2 so I bought one. The computer didn't apply the 32% off even tho I paid full price. I went back today and spoke to the manager. Sorry. That's cvs policy. If it is on sale, it is on sale and no coupon even tho I paid full price. Ba bye cvs. I can get Amazon to deliver to my door. As soon as I can arrange it, I'll have my meds delivered to my home as well. All for about $5.00 that cvs couldn't see it's way to apply to my purchase. read more

I always assume Yelp reviews are slightly harsher than the average customer's opinion, as usually people don't comment unless an experience is extraordinarily good or bad...I have to say, I'm impressed that these reviewers are 100% not kidding about the pharmacy (specifically the phone line) here being horrendous. Waited on hold for god knows how long, only to hear a man's voice for about .5 seconds before promptly hanging up on me. Nice! I guess I'll be going out of my way to get my prescriptions elsewhere. I've never seen a pharmacy so messed up. They never answer the phone, even when I'm in there, the announcement, "pharmacy call" is sounding, employees are just standing there ignoring it. Horribly managed. I don't trust them to get my prescription correct, a year after I told them I no long take a med they are trying to fill it, even though, if taken with the other meds I take would cause overdose. I really don't have much to say - just here to correct the store/pharmacy hours. If you're familiar with CVS, this is what you'll expect. Often busier than your average drugstore though - especially the pharmacy. That's what brought me here; the posted photo from 2012 no longer accurately reflects the store hours. This CVS is a joke! No one in the pharmacy EVER answers the phone! When you are standing in line you hear "7 calls on hold" or whatever it says and there are people behind the counter standing there doing nothing. I was constantly being over charged. The person I informed said they put it through both of my insurances and the prescription discount card. My part D prescription coverage is now Cvs based and low and behold it was going through that one which was $20 more. I finally had them take that insurance out and haven't had any problems with the correct copays. I just called to fix a prescription and the call went to the music and after holding for 10 minutes the call was disconnected! Needless to say I'm VERY frustrated! read more

This is the NEW CVS that used to be located within the strip-mall itself. Now it's a seperate brand-spakin' new building just over at the other end of the parking lot. It's great - new, gleaming, big, well organized, clean. Awesome. You know why it loses a star? Because now when I go get my haircut and need to go to CVS too, I have to get back in the car and DRIVE to the other end of the gigantic parking lot! Which, not to mention, the parking around the new CVS is HORRIBLE. It's like a tightly designed apartment building parking. I hate it! Constantly having problems with my prescriptions at this pharmacy. They once told me I already picked up a prescription that I never picked up. Did they give it to someone else? I have no idea. Then they kept denying my prescriptions saying they can't substitute a medication with a generic alternative without the doctor's permission, but the doctor had written in the prescription that they can give me a generic! So I keep having to call them to sort out all these issues, and it's causing delays in receiving my medication. Thank god I don't have something like diabetes where the medication is absolutely needed because they sure don't act like having your medication is that important at this pharmacy. Maybe it's because half the staff are teenagers or something. Only added one extra star because they are usually polite when you go there to pick up your stuff; that's at least an improvement over my last pharmacy. read more

This pertains to both Melrose and Stoneham CVS. I phoned CVS in Melrose and after navigating through the menu was connected to a human in the pharmacy. They didn't have the item I need and suggested I "call around" to other pharmacies myself to try and find it (it would've been nice if they could've found it for me!). I then phoned CVS in Stoneham, and using the automated system, I navigated through the menu to be placed on hold for the pharmacy. After more than twenty minutes on hold (I counted), all the while listening to the ads CVS runs during the hold function, I was suddenly disconnected. Nice job guys! read more

This pharmacy is horrible! I recently moved to MA from North Carolina and transferred by 20 plus prescriptions to the Stoneham CVS. In the two months that I have tried to get my prescriptions filled, they have made mistakes on every order. And then they tell me it's the doctors office that isn't sending the prescriptions in correctly. Also, every time I try to telephone the pharmacy I end up on hold for over 15 minutes. Don't waste your time by going here, all you will do is wait and wait, either on the phone or in the very long lines for both inside and drive through pharmacy. There are enough other pharmacies that I will find one with better customer service. read more

Let me start by saying if there was an option for ZERO stars I would have gone with that. This is by far the most disorganized CVS. It doesn't matter when your doctor calls in a RX or when you placed the phone order and said you would be picking it up they don't make the RX'S up until you are physically there waiting for it. My wife and I have lost countless hours of our lives picking up RX'S and going back because they weren't ready. By far the most disorganized pharmacy I've ever dealt with CVS or otherwise. Too often prescriptions called in by the doctor are not filled until you go in to pick it up, and then end up having to wait for it to be filled. If I felt like spending my time there waiting, I would simply ask my doctor to fax ME the prescription so I could give it to the pharmacy myself and ask to wait while it's filled. The line is always long because it seems the majority of people are having issues with their prescriptions. It appears that this pharmacy has become so automated with the call in line that everyone has forgotten how to do their job properly. If a prescription is called in by the doctor at 10am there is no excuse for it not to be filled until you go to pick it up at 7:30pm, and if there's a problem preventing your prescription from being filled, a phone call during the day when you can actually get in touch with your doctor would be really great (and expected). I never knew that when dealing with CVS, I would need to become such an advocate for them doing their job correctly. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of one is because I've never had any issues with the front of the store, only with the pharmacy. read more

So this morning I call in an Rx refill figuring I can pick it up tonight. I go in around 7pm and the kid at the counter cannot find it. He walks over to the pharmacist to ask her about it and without even looking she says no. I will call the Walgreens tomorrow and have the Rx transferred. This is not the first issue, the Rx was written for 90 day supply, but they kept refilling a 30 day and every time I asked they claimed a mistake. Finally, rather than accepting the 30 day I complained and the Pharmacist finally told me that insurer would not accept the 90 day. I don't know about the rest of the store, but I will do business in Walgreens from now on. read more

Consistently poor service at the pharmacy. Seemingly every other prescription pick-up is botched. NAME, DATE of BIRTH, ADDRESS - the staff (though some nice) are robotic and disengaged. On one occasion I had to come back three different times to get my prescription before it was actually ready - each time, I was served by a different person who told me, "IT WILL BE ANOTHER 15 MINUTES" - each as mechanical and helpless as the previous. Extremely frustrating - I've finally cracked and have moved to the online/mail order approach. read more

I was in a rush today, but wanted to make sure I got my flu shot this week. The nice girl, who I believe was named Alana, at the pharmacy was awesome! She was so quick, but also very friendly. I come to this cvs regularly and this one star rating is only for their pharmacy. In the past I have received less than stellar employee service. They have me on automatic refill for everything and constantly fail to notify my by text or call. My most recent experience has left me very disappointed. I called to order my already late birth control (it was enrolled in automatic refill for, I don't know the last 10 years and for some reason they failed to notify me) I called of course and the young lady who answered in pharmacy said her computer timed out and would call me back on my cell ASAP. Should have known from her tone that calling me back was not a priority. I told her it is urgent I get it that day because I am already a day late and since they are hormones I need to get back on schedule. Well apathy must be their specialty because I never got a call back. Did not get a call the next day either. When I called they told me is was ready and were waiting for me to pick it up? Really? Maybe if everyone was doing their job I would have been notified. Unacceptable. If your customer already displays concern and urgency about their medication do me a solid and call me back like you promised! So when I went to pick it up I asked since I have now missed 3 days of my meds if I can just take the 3 pills. They informed me it is only safe to take 2 days. So thank you CVS, now my medication is messed up for the entire month because you are too lazy and disengaged to take 30 seconds and call me. It never used to be this bad. As someone who works in customer service I get that things happen and you can forget to get back to someone. It happens. However, this has been happening a lot lately and this last experience makes me believe that the pharmacy is disorganized and does not care about customers. Please do your jobs and do them correctly, even if you don't feel like it. read more
