A decent Walgreens location, though I avoid going there like the plague if I can help it due to the odd, nosy cashier who stares at you during the entire transaction and grills you for personal info/makes loud comments about what you're purchasing (once it was prep for a colonoscopy) and inappropriate assumptions that you're caring for a geriatric person at home. Walgreens cashier was my first job and... yeah, that definitely wasn't in the training manual. I think the cashier needs to be trained on another job in the store or have a manager talk to them about how a pharmacy isn't really the best place to ask these kinds of questions or make loud assumptions about one's health struggles. She will also stare at you during the entire transaction. Just a head's up to anyone, I don't know, PICKING UP PRESCRIPTIONS FOR AN ANXIETY DISORDER? I've only had one issue with the pharmacy when I showed up and my regular monthly prescription had for some reason been sent to another location, but I'm sure it was just a glitch. read more

Terrible management, I was told the managers name was Jason and that he wasn't in until later so after getting home I called the store where he answered with an attitude before I could ask and get help with what I needed. Very weird to talk to. read more

I can't speak to the actual pharmacy services, but the photo services were outstanding. We ordered our holiday cards online, but their photo printer was broken. We went to the store without knowing this because we had another photo order that we got notice was ready. The guy behind the counter explained the situation, patiently explained what he was able to do to rectify it, helped us replace the order, then got our cards printed in about 15 minutes while we waited. He was so kind and apologetic despite it not being his fault at all. Our prints and cards came out fantastic. We will definitely be coming back to print more photos in the future. read more

I regret 100% going to the Walgreens in Main St Wakefield Ma more than anything. I'm a person with learning disability due to a brain injury and have a hard time to speak or write . I try to explain it to one if them, and the answer to my disability was I have a brain injury too. I said really and laughing that person said to me with colors and numbers. I prefer this Walgreen's to the one in Malden for so many reasons. 1) They always have more stuff in stock. 2) Everything is not locked down. The one in Malden has baby formula under lock and key. No lie. 3) The parking lot is A LOT easier to get in and out of and you don't have to worry about a head on collision. 4) The lines move WAY faster. 5) The sales people are actually helpful! read more

I have been picking up my mom's prescriptions here for a yr and a half. On June 10th I drove by the drive thru to let them know she had passed and I was not going to pick them up anymore. My fiance says to me"don't they need her name and DOB?" I started and the lady in the pharmacy knew exactly who my mom was, finished her DOB, saw me crying and really looked sad when she said she was sorry. Like 3 days later we got a sympathy card at home from them. You can't be any more compassionate and professional, they will always have my deepest and sincere patronage #walgreenswakefield is the best of the best. This location is your standard Walgreens, but it's location is what makes it nice. The CVS in Wakefield is located right in the heart of Wakefield Center, and despite "more parking in back", it is often times a challenge to get a spot. This Walgreens has a huge parking lot, and is out of the way of down town traffic. It isn't 24-7 however, for that you need to head down Main Street into Melrose where you will find a new one there. read more

Today I went to get a gift card for my lil brother. And of course the lady forgot to scan it so it wasn't activated and it didn't work for my brother. So I went back with the card and the same lady was working. But the other guy wanted to take me instead so I went to him and told him my issue. I threw out the receipt so I kinda was fucked either way. So The guy goes in the back for 10 mins and comes out and says he can't do anything. He literally had to go 40 mins back on a camera to see me there. The lady also admitted to me being there earlier. Shop here often, but the others day I returned a pair of $25.00 reading glasses. That broke because of the fort Knox Price tag.. I never liked the Walgreens chain until I moved to Wakefield. This store is very clean and organized and there's plenty of parking. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The pharmacy is fast and helpful. I also really like the "nice" walgreens brand of everything...the products are just as good as the name brands and so much cheaper. read more

Walgreens has always been very reliable. Whenever I get pictures developed here, it is always done in under an hour. They also have a very good selection of greeting cards, birthday cards, holiday cards, and a card for every occasion. Like CVS, it really is an all purpose large convenience store. Used to love this store. Came for a prescription today. Not good if you're not feeling well to have your prescription sent here!!! Left the docs office and got to this Walgreens 45 mins later. Walgreens told me it could take an hour for it to arrive electronically. REALLY?? And then they need time to fill it. So sitting in the little waiting room for 30 mins and still nothing. The pharmacy has the worst customer service! Don't go there. I have been treated so terrible time and time again. I am my mother's caregiver and I have left there so many times upset by the way I have been treated . Today was the last day. I would rather wait in line somewhere else to be treated with courtesy and a smile. The same person - twice - has taken my money and not given me the proper change and then I had to wait while she counted her cash box because she insisted I was lying to her. My prescriptions are never ready. And they treat me like a criminal when I have to pick up my mother's medicine. They are short and curt and never explain anything to me. They need some classes on customer service. As a matter of fact - they need some class! I have been going there for 10 years and they act like they don't even know me - - they see me all the time! And I am not a rude person. I am a very nice person. I go to Rite Aid in Melrose for my own family's prescriptions and they are so sweet and kind and welcoming.
