I'd like to recognize and commend an employee name Dominic at CVS. During my recent purchase, I used a $10 coupon, but ran into an issue because I couldn't remember the number linked to it. Despite a line of impatient customers forming, the employee remained calm, composed, and attentive. He spent about 20 minutes helping me resolve the issue without letting the pressure affect his professionalism. Once everything was fixed, I was very satisfied with the service provided. His patience, dedication, and quality of care truly reflect a level of service that stands out--qualities that deserve recognition, and in my opinion, make him a strong candidate for a raise or management consideration. I have to absolutely give Lance and his supervisor a TREMENDOUS shout out for being so incredibly empathetic today! My doctor has been giving me trouble every single month for the past six or seven months with getting my medication and they were able to help me through getting it canceled at a separate pharmacy and getting it filled at their location. They listened empathetically through my entire story and were so incredibly helpful and made me feel so much better when I was really stressed out. The store used to be the go to for stocked shelves. Not anymore. One of the worst of the cvs pharmacies. Super slow, bad attitudes and wrong estimated times for fulfill subscriptions. I went yesterday and it was obvious the guy working was purposely being slow and making people wait. I left the line, got in my car, went through the drove through and I was helped and finished within' 20 seconds. Had a very BAD experience with CVS. Just moved to Santa Rosa. Have used CVS in Daly City for 24 years without a single problem. The CVS on Mendocino Avenue told me they could not fill my doctor's prescription for a class-one drug because they had already reached their "quota" of patients with class-one drug prescriptions. I could not believe what they were saying. I asked them if this was a Federal or State law. They said no. Which means this is a CVS internal policy. The Mendocino CVS gave me the phone number of the CVS in Coddingtown Center. Same issue. Coddingtown gave me a phone number of a 3rd CVS on Stony Point Road. This CVS's pharmacy told me that I would have to get all my drugs through them...in order to get my class one prescription filled. They attempted to blackmail me into giving up my cheaper mail order drugs through Cigna. She was very rude (she shouted at me...that she was the one asking the questions...not me) and started interjecting herself between myself and my doctor...asking me inappropriate questions. I will never waste my time with any CVS location again. read more

I wish I could give them zero stars for this CVS site. I use their pharmacy only because they are in network with my insurance. Previously I used Walgreens and they were great never any issues always had time to answer any questions you had. You called this Pharmacy and tell them you no longer take that prescription and they keep telling you they refilled it, they piecemeal your prescriptions instead of filling them all at once, then when you called after being on hold they tell you they have to go because there's people in line. Management really needs to review the comments for the store because they have a very bad rating. read more

Francisco is a joke!!! The man needs to be fired. If a pharmacy tech can be less than helpful he's the guy. I have to work harder at getting my prescriptions filled than he does. I recently switched from my prior preferred pharmacy to CVS as the new insurance provided by my employer would not cover my preferred pharmacy. It has been a nightmare experience from the beginning. Moving my prescriptions from the prior pharmacy to this CVS was supposed to be an easy transition. Not at all. After several days of hearing nothing I began to check in with CVS. Each time same reply..."we have asked them to send it over." Eventually, I called my prior pharmacy myself, was told that they had received nothing at all requesting the transfer, but would send it right away. And they did. When I return to CVS I was told that they had not filled them, despite receiving the prescriptions, because my insurance wouldn't cover them. However, when I called my insurance they informed me they would absolutely cover them... When I arrive at the CVS to pick up the "ready medications" I received only one of two... now, supposedly because as the second was written one year prior, it could not be filled (despite three remaining refills). I am not sure why this wasn't explained to me on the phone when I verified the meds were now being covered by the insurance. Another return trip, and I finally received the second medication. Wow. What a hassle. And now, my child's medication... My child's medication requires a physical prescription be turned in each month for refill. I'm used to this. Well... unlike the prior pharmacy... they will not allow it to be dropped off at the drive up window... only picked up there. It's a law I'm told... So, from 8 am to almost 6 pm I am calling back and being told his med requires a physician verification because the office is in Walnut Creek and we live in Santa Rosa. Really?! Again, it's the law I'm told. I don't understand how, not only the usual pharmacy I had gone to, but also in my travels locations in Anaheim, Honolulu and other places could fill meds without a hassle and did not mention these "laws." Is every location really violating federal drug laws but this one?! Doubtful. Also doubtful is that both the prior pharmacy, and now the physicians office, would both be dishonest when they both say that they haven't received any requests from this CVS, despite being told again today that the doctor was left several messages.... seems like a pattern to me... Lastly, I was assured by the pharmacist that as soon as the physician verified the med, she would fill it personally as my child needs it the next day. Well... 8:15 pm, I initiate contact again and am file by another pharmacist that it is verified and they will try to get it done, but there's 50 ahead of ours to be filled and they close at 9 PM (not 10 pm like the hours on Yelp state). Poor customer service. No initiative and follow through. Empty commitments. One last thing... in the morning when I dropped my child's prescription off, the pharmacist kindly complimented my 1 yr old son and made him a rattle with paperclips in a pill bottle. He loves it. However, it was disheartening to hear her tell the pharmacy technician how more babies need to come through to take focus away from all the horrible patients they deal with. This is the 4th time the pharmacy filled the wrong medication! I called to get the correct medication and they said I could not be refunded (since it left the building) and that they were out of my regular medication. They won't take any responsibility! And on top of that this has happened multiple times! I'm outraged! How can this place stay in business with so many mistakes! 5 stars to Jessica at this location's pharmacy. My son is on a time sensitive medication and the pharmacy that usually fills it wasn't open. This medication seems to always have issues with billing due to my son's dual insurance coverage. Jessica was able to get it filled within 45 minutes of my phone call. I'm here several times a month to fill various scripts and 99% of the time the pharmacy service person is rude, like I am putting them out because they have to run our insurance card or fill a prescription? Very exasperated. I ordered an item on line yesterday that their website said was available for pickup that day. They sent me an email saying they were working on it. Today. a day later. it still is not ready for pickup. I phoned to inquire about it and the robot on the line could only insist that I provide a prescription number. The item I ordered was not a prescription. The robot could not comprehend that. I hung up and phoned again, same result but finally the robot transferred me to the pharmacy. No live person there, just a robot telling me how great the pharmacy app is. After 15 minutes of that garbage, I hung up. I'm still trying to cancel the order that I needed yesterday. read more

Ohhh man does this place ever bite the dust! It seems like each time i walk in to this place, I find myself going straight to amazon and buying now with one click. The mark ups are INSANE!!!!!!! Went in for Mucinex maximum strength. A 24 pack was $30 I couldn't believe it. Of course, I pulled out my handy dandy ol smart phone. Went to Amazon and bought a 42 pack for $20. Thank you PRIME 2 day free shipping buy now with one click. I will sniffle for another day and save $10. Thank you! Another time i needed an arm brace. What...? $30...? Ohhhh man.......are they really that much? No, they're not. Good ol Amazon saved me again. Sure i will but this same exact arm brace for $15. I have been a customer at this location for a couple of years now. While they have filled my prescriptions, their customer is seriously lacking. There has never been a time when I've been in there without having to wait to check out, both at the pharmacy counter and the regular checkout. They are seriously understaffed. Tonight I pulled up to the drive up pharmacy window at a 7:58pm. The pharmacy is open until 9, yet as I was driving up, they were pulling the cover down over the window. I rang the bell a few times but nobody came. I sat there and called the pharmacy, waited on hold and was told that they were short staffed and the drive up window was closed. This is the second time I've had this experience, the first was last year on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend when upon arriving at the drive up window at about 8:45pm, it was already closed. I had had surgery at UCSF earlier that day and was finally on my way home after an extremely long day but I had to go inside with my daughter to get my script filled because we were told there were no customers so they decided to close the drive up window early. On one occasion my prescription was overfilled and I was given a 90 day supply, yet only charged for 30 days, and the next month it happened again. The third time, I told them to return it to stock, and I called and spoke with the store manager. Tomorrow I will pick up my last prescriptions at this store. I will be finding a differerent pharmcy close to my office instead of my home because it's not worth the hassle, no matter how convenient the location. It doesn't matter how conveniently located they are if they're not open when they say they are and when you expect them to be. Upon reviewing their website, there is no option to contact them, no customer service number to call to discuss issues at a corporate level, so I guess that tells you everything you need to know about their customer service philosophy. Poor customer service + prescription mistakes = lack of trust, so goodbye CVS. read more

This pharmacy has the WORST pharmacist I've EVER dealt with in my Life!! He tried to tell me what's "good for me " against my Doctor's orders & did this all the the day before I'm to leave the country for Over a month! He delayed my entire day by 6 hours. A simple 10 minute transaction he managed to turn into that long of a nightmare for me. My Dr was in shock! After the horrific experience I had with the pharmacist Phoebe M. At the CVS pharmacy at 463 stony point road Santa Rosa .ca 95401, I looked up yelp to leave a review and was not surprised when they barely had just over a 1 star rating. For 2 weeks now and many times before they have made mistakes preventing me from getting the medication I need to deal with an almost constant migraine from a severe car accident leaving me with a mild traumatic brain injury. This time it seems the reason they would not fill my imitrex shots for migraines was because they were contacting the wrong doctor, not even one i have even ever seen. I corrected this with them 3 time in the last two weeks. After receiving news that one of my parents were on their death bed given only a few days to live I needed to suffer through a plane ride best I could to be there for them. After phoebe finally realized that they CVS had been making the mistake and that it was now to close to the weekend to resolve i asked her name so I could file a report with the department of insurance. At that point she started yelling at me telling me to stop harassing her. At no point did I raise my voice as with a migraine it is extremely painful nor did I insult or use and vulgarities. After talking with my neurologist who has a 5 star yelp rating btw, he said this is not the first time he's had problems with this pharmacist. Phoebe M. Should Not be licensed as she broke a federal law similar to the hypocratic oath a medical doctor swears on relating to a fiduciary responsibility when she would not identify herself. I honestly could not believe I was talking to a professional much less an educated pharmacist. I missed my flight and most likely will not be able to say goodbye as the doctor does not believe my loved one will make it through the next 48 hours. read more

I got into it with a pharmacy tech for being rude for the millionth time, which seems to be the norm from what I've read from other people's reviews, because she lost my script. Then because we argued she banned me from filling scripts at any cvs and won't transfer my refills to another pharmacy. Great pharmacy staff. Every time my doctor's office fails to properly send a prescription over, the staff takes care of it promptly. When my insurance doesn't cover a medication they always contact my doctors office and myself. If I'm shopping, I like to take a few minutes and sit in their lobby to watch the amount of verbal abuse the staff takes from customers. If feel for them, as they can only do so much with what they are given. As a bonus, I love that they can speak Spanish as it is of much help for my daughter in law who is an Argentinian. read more

Service performance in healthcare is heavily scrutinized. It is critical to focus on providing positive experiences for patients that begins as soon as they enter the door. Everyone must do their part to convey a sense of courtesy, caring, and helpfulness. I am really frustrated at the male pharmacy tech at this location. As I was trying to get a family members prescription filled, he rolled his eyes while asking for insurance information. "Do I get to go home after this?" Very disrespectful considering he was in the middle of helping me. I work in healthcare as well, if I was to ever say such a thing my patients would be furious. If you dislike your job find a new field, but if you are going to be in healthcare change your attitude. Being kind and empathetic goes a long way. Not to mention the other pharmacy tech was on her cell phone. As important as calls may be, please step out and take personal calls! They can become distractions that could potentially damage interaction with the patients. You used to be able to call CVS and ask the pharmacist questions. You know I'll call them and get an extensive three-minute long ordeal with their automated system which answers no questions creates confusion and irritation not to mention wasting your time before you finally get hold of an operator who then says can you please hold. It took seven minutes to find out the answer to a simple question. "Is my prescription ready "?. They ask you your date of birth and other information but when you finally do get hold of an operator they simply ask you the same questions all over again. This is obviously a new corporate strategy to minimize the amount of time employees spend on the phone while simultaneously maximizing the amount of time the customer has to spend waiting and thus making it obvious that superior customer service is not only not their objective but merely an afterthought.
