Terrible experience at the pharmacy. I hate that this review will affect the store as it's not their fault. Arrived at 1:20 to pick up a prescription. There were two windows open, with one person being helped. No one acknowledged me. At 1:27 they started closing the pharmacy screen for lunch. I approached the window to be helped before the screen was closed all the way and was told I and to come back because they were closing for lunch at 1:30. A few things about this experience were frustrating....I waited several minutes when there was no line, they saw me standing there and still proceeded to shut the screen and then they closed before the scheduled 1:30 lunchtime while I was standing there waiting. I have never written a negative Yelp review but this service was unacceptable. read more

If we could give this useless CVS Pharmacy a ZERO score it would be TOO GENEROUS! We scheduled vaccines and had an appointment scheduled. We live in rural Sonoma county on the coast and this is a two hour drive ! We arrive and they say "our computers are down" come back some other time. The store is open and operating fully despite what we are told. We left with no vaccines, no satisfactory resolution and no rescheduled appointment. Getting vaccines elsewhere today. I normally order my pictures through this location because of their efficiency versus other CVS locations. Lately I have found that the service and the efficiency has been lacking. I received the communication that my pictures are ready for pick up, but when I come to the store to pick them up, they're either not ready or they can't find them Today my pictures weren't ready, and Shirley was very frustrated because she couldn't find them anywhere and other projects were sitting there not ready to go so she proceeded to demand her needs to other employees in front of customers which I feel is embarrassing and should not happen. Reprimanding your colleagues in the public is a huge leadership no no. There's a way to talk to your employees and ask them kindly to get things done so that was a shame that I witnessed that today no matter how frustrated you become. read more

Waited 15 minutes behind five cars in CVS pharmacy pick-up window while the lead car never moved. Inside the store there were at least seven people cued up at the pharmacy counter. Went home, came back 2 hrs later. Only one car in line, and it again took close to 20 minutes to serve them. My wait was at least 10 minutes, even though the prescription was ready for pick up. At least half that time, the person serving us was crouched down and appeared to be searching through a hand-basket under a counter. It SHOULD NOT TAKE THIS MUCH TIME to simply pick up an already-filled prescription. There is SOMETHING VERY WRONG with CVS' process! read more

This is the worst store of the worst chain in the country. This CVS is filthy. Their shelves are half empty most of the time. Their pharmacy sucks! They have 1 shopping cart, seriously! Really mean and degrading treatment from staff every time. I'm deaf and I rely on ASL or written English period. No I don't read lips. No I can't hear. And I've made it clear many times on paper, and shaking my head no or literally telling him and pointing to the notepad to PLEASE write. Yet still refuse to accommodate my request. This review is specifically to shout out Sadie in the pharmacy! Typically I have been frustrated with the automated systems for CVS not matching up with real time in the pharmacy. It is extremely frustrating when you arrive after receiving a call that your meds are ready for pick up but when you arrive the pharmacy says they won't be ready for another 15-30 mins... I have had the pleasure of served by Sadie on 3 occasions now and every single time she has gone above and beyond to take care of me! 33 Minutes Later... First off, let me say I love some of the in-store employees, especially Michelle. She's always helpful, always kind, and always ready with a sincere hug. My rant has to do with the drive up supposed "quick test" for antigen/C19 test. I showed up at the pharmacy drive-thru at 2:25 for a 2:30 appointment, mom had a 2:45 appointment. Handed over our IDs, supplied confirmation numbers, and we're told it would just be a few minutes (mind you, they claim that the whole process takes under 5 minutes). Cars were piling up behind us in the Drive-Thru, but the employee didn't seem to be too concerned about it because he kept leaving the window to go do something else. After 20 minutes of waiting, I asked if there was a problem. At which point he said, it just takes a while to set up. Here's my question; if someone is coming in for an appointment at 2:30, wouldn't you think they would start getting everything ready at least a half an hour before that if it takes a while to "set things up"? I don't know if they're TERRIBLY unorganized or if they're just SEVERELY short staffed. My advice? CVS on 4th St. Just went through the Drive-Thru as I do every week and Nikki is the BEST! For me all of the employees that I've come across are pleasant and helpful - I mean seriously the one star reviewers must look creepy and spooky themselves - I don't get it. I come in here often enough to know if something is off. The lighting is fine, The shelves are full, and the staff is friendly. I was leaving and saw a fellow cool yelper at the stop light and talked to him, Ryan, Great guy. NIKKI (hope I'm spelling that right) is ALWAYS AWESOME - so helpful and super on the ball. Yet, it seems that most of the other large pharmacies are having the same issues with customer service, poor inventory with shelves half-full and very high prices. If I could do less than 1 star, I would. I tried to pick up medication for my girlfriend after her surgery here. The surgeon said it would be ready by 12pm. CVS said they are going to lunch and it will be ready by 1pm. I came in at 2 pm, and they said it would be ready at 5pm. This created a lot of unnecessary driving around town. I tried to call and expedite/escalate the issue as my girlfriend was in a lot of pain. After requesting to escalate the issue, they hung up on me. I understand being busy, but treating people like this who are concerned about their loved ones is deplorable. Terrible, terrible experience, and the CVS company as a whole should be ashamed of their customer service. read more

No concern about my wellbeing. It is a legitimate scrip, yet they now refuse to follow my doctor's orders. It is the second time my order (controlled substance) has vanished. Trying to pick up prescription for my child. ERx was confirmed sent and received at 12:49 pm. Called at 12:55 pm and was told that they had not received it and to call back later. Staff member stated that they had checked their electronic fax machine queue. Staff member refused tell me how long it typically takes them to receive a prescription in their computer system after it has been confirmed ERxed by clinician and told me it must be a problem on my clinicians end. I did not have clinician re-send it. An hour later we called - they were on lunch. Drove to pharmacy, told that prescription had indeed been received which means that they didn't actually check for the prescription on their electronic fax machine, told that in spite of being willing to wait in person for prescription that it wouldn't be ready for 2.5 hours. They did get the prescription ready early - only 30 mins of waiting which was great, but then they didn't bill our insurance for it and tried to get me to pay $170 for it. Only when I questioned whether they had billed insurance did they admit that they had not. Had I not been aware, I would have paid $160 extra for the prescription. Please, people if a pharmacy ever tells you that a medication is going to cost you more than your copay, there are only three reasons for this 1. They forgot to bill your insurance 2. Your medication needs a prior authorization from your insurance company - ask the pharmacy if this is the case. If it is, contact the prescriber. 3. You have a deductible on your drug plan and must pay the amount of the deductible before you get to pay just your copay amount. Always ask before paying! read more

The pharmacy people are great, but they are understaffed, and there are frequently 20-30 minute waits for picking up prescriptions. The pharmacy hours are too short, hence the massive crowds and the long waits. Also, as a woman alone, I frequently come here as at night, and there is no where safe to park. Some idiot decided to make the ENTIRE FRONT OF THE STORE ALL HANDICAP SPOTS. There are like 8 handicap spots right in the front, and then a few normal spots off to one side in the dark. I don't feel safe parking there, and they really only needed one or two handicapped spots. So the rest of us are inconvenienced and at risk for no reason. So here are 3 stars for the pharmacy staff and their efforts to take care of the customers as best they can with the limited time and resources that they are given - I do appreciate you all - and minus two stars for the CVS corporation for not respecting our time, providing substandard hours and not giving us a convenient and safe place to park. read more

I drove here at 3am because my 3 year old daughter is sick and I need a new thermometer to take her temperature. The only other store near me is a Safeway but they don't keep their shelve stocked and didn't have what I needed. I made sure to check the hours of operation online before I drove to cvs. When I arrived there are small hand written signs in the window saying they are closed and open at 7am. This is bullshit. Wish I could give zero stars! This pharmacy is the worst! Unprofessional, understaffed and ALWAYS closing hours early! After showing up at 7:10 last night (after they sent me email at 6:58 that my script was ready!) to find them closed 2 hrs earlier then listed hours. I went today, Only car in drive thru and waited 15 min before even being greeted! When I first pulled up someone got on the PA system and said "we will be with you when we can" After waiting 10 min I pushed the talk button to be told "we are with customers you need to wait" CLICK. When they did finally assist me, she was clearly frustrated and it only took her 15 seconds to grab my prepaid prescription. Didn't ask me if I needed consultant or had questions just put it in the drawer and walked away. So rude! So ridiculous. On another note 1800 customer service agents are so polite and very helpful when I called to report my terrible experience at this particular pharmacy. Go elsewhere thank me later! read more

I would love to put a negative star. Went to the pharmacy after I spent most of my day at the hospital on Sunday 7/7/24 and I sent my prescription over to the closest CVS and the pharmacist there, Vito, was horrible. He said he needed to "verify" my prescription because they've been getting fake prescriptions and a whole bunch of other excuses like "you don't have a profile with us". But there was no need for the verification because it was an electronic prescription straight from the hospital. Vito ended up canceling my prescription because he's petty and horrible at his job. I was in pain and frustrated because he said I wouldn't be able to get the meds until Monday. All of this was false, because I called the hospital and they said that that whole situation should have never happened. I believe Vito the pharmacist took one look at me and saw the hair bonnet and pajamas and thought I looked like someone trying to get their fix or something? But it was a horrible experience. The hospital ended up fixing everything and I was able to get all my meds at a different CVS off Mendocino. This pharmacy is horrible, they don't like helping ppl and they're not even good at their job. Please get a different pharmacist that actually likes helping ppl instead of making assumptions on others. read more

I stopped here to make a quick return for a product that I purchased just 2 days ago. it was the wrong item, and I was purchasing other items. SAGE - whom I assumed was a supervisor, or store lead, has no clue about customer service. At first he said, he could only do a store credit to which I said fine - I've got other items to purchase. then he hemmed and hawed (with a line 5 people deep) and said he wasn't supposed to do it. Mind you - I had the receipt, I just didn't have the credit card used to purchase on me as my husband didn't come into the store with me. He made me go outside to the car and get the credit card. I brought it in, ready to finish the transaction except it was the wrong credit card. He still would not let me finish the transaction. His reasoning was that I could have fished the receipt out of the trashcan outside the store and was therefore potentially committing fraud - for $4.19!!!! Apparantly he values that $4.19 more than a lifelong CVS customer. I've had a good 12 hours to cool down - and still get hot over this. read more

Zero stars. One of the pharmacist at this CVS is downright abusive to customers and should be fired. I went in to purchase some sinus headache medicine from behind the counter. When I got home, I realized the pharmacist gave me the wrong pills. I returned a week later to exchange them. The same pharmacist was on duty. I placed them with the reciept on the counter and told him I received their wrong pills and asked to exchange them, he immediately started yelling at me that he wasn't tasking them back, and asked me who sold me the pills, with a accusatory tone (like I had stolen them or purchased them on the streets.) When I told him he waited on me, he again yelled at me that he had never seen me before, and has never sold these pills. When I again stated that he sold them to me a week ago, he then changed his story and said I asked for them, and he gave me exactly what I asked for. I took the pills and left feeling completely abused by this pharmacist. I was afraid to go back and get his name, but he was a tall man had an accent. CVS should be ashamed of themselves for hiring and keeping employees like this. I will never shop at a CVS again. read more
