The pharmacy is OK. I've never had any issues. The rest of the store looks like a business that's about to fail. Shelves are half empty. The restroom has been closed for month, with yellow plastic tape over the entrance. Sometimes there is nobody at the checkout counter... you have to track someone down to pay for your purchases. read more

I had the most horrible experience walking into the store with that I shop at regularly. The person working by the name of Jessica was so extremely rude and disrespectful to me as a customer never mind a human being. She was unable to help somebody who couldn't understand a word she was saying so she made no effort whatsoever to help this customer and when I asked her if she could help me, she demanded that I'd be patient just like everybody else. She's tatted and got piercing. This CVS steals money from their shoppers. They give out FRAUD gift cards! When we tried to have them fix the problem, they did not want to resolve the problem! We had a receipt and a note from Amazon, stating that CVS needs to return the $25 back to our account. We will be reporting this incident to their headquarters and BBB! read more

showed up to pick up prescription and they had 2 lines but then i realized no one was working the second line. i asked if there was one line or two lines and the guy said two lines but no one was working the second line. he doesn't realize that if no one is working the second line then everyone standing in the second line is not gonna get served. i said wouldn't it make sense to just have one line since he's the only one and he still didn't understand. i only brought it up because i was in the second line with other people and people who came after me who went to the first line got served while everyone in the second line just stood there. read more

Pharmacy is very helpful and kind. Helped me move my medications over after a move. Had everything I needed in stock. No one leaves a review if everything goes well, only when they're upset and need to feel vindicated. It's a good CVS. Could use better lighting little gloomy but good spot. Thank you! read more

You guys suck. I am so mad. I bought a Amazon gift card for my sister in June and a few months later my sister decided to buy from Amazon using the Amazon card that I got her and upon entering the code to check out, she looked at the back of the card and it was scratched out. Apparently CVS is having this issue store wide were fraudsters are going into the stores and stealing the code on the back of the card so I go in and talk to the manager and was told that I have to contact Amazon first and then contact CVS customer service over the phone. I talk to the Amazon customer service and they said that it looks like the card was used upon checked out which makes no sense to me and that I need to contact CVS customer service so I called them and they had no idea how to handle my situation they kept asking me for all the information on the receipt which I gave them and they basically told me that I'm not going to get my credit so I want to let everybody know not to shop at CVS anymore. You guys are inconsiderate to not giving me my $25 credit. How would you like it if that happened to you? My sister and I are going to spread the word that CVS sucks especially at customer service!!! My guess is that the pharmacy is the main thing keeping this place open. Every time I go or attempt to call, they are extremely (and understandably) busy and sound rushed, but I always get decent service, even via the phone to check a prescription. The prices (via insurance) are also decent when I compare to the local Safeway or Costco too. read more

I've read some of the negative reviews and I've not had any of those experiences. The pharmacy is busy but I didn't find them inefficient. They were pretty quick and explained medications. I've had zero issues buying regular items from this store and with the service. Sometimes they leave a bell out as they may only have a single person at the register that has other task as well so ring the bell and no issue. I can't attest to the restroom cleanliness as I've not visited it. My prescriptions are always found quickly and I'm out the door in minutes. read more

Long lines in pharmacy, I have been asked to return more than once a because no pharmacist available. No one behind cash registers, needing to use self check is disappointing. Super rude manager here. Called to ask about someone using my card and the manager put me on hold and never came back. I called back again and he just hung up on me. Then I called again and he rudely said he cannot help me and he's busy. Then you should have come back and said that instead of putting the customer on hold forever or hanging up the phone when they call back again. Not professional at all. I previously called in a different CVS store about the same issue and the workers there were so nice and helpful. Super disappointed by the behaviors of the workers here. Sadly this pharmacy is very understaffed & very organized. I dread having to go & pick up prescriptions because I know I'm going to be waiting for a long time. They obviously have staffing issues as there is a high staff turnover. It's very sad as the pharmacists are friendly & are trying to do their job. They just can't keep up with the volume of orders. I've seen so many people promised prescriptions that are just not ready to be picked up when they go in & they all get the same line "it's on priority order now. Please wait & we will have it ready for you". I've heard it a million times & just roll my eyes. The thing is, I don't stop getting calls from the automated CVS service asking if I want to refill this prescription & that prescription - if only they could actually keep up with the work. They seek out customers but fall so short on service. So disappointing. It's a perfect location for a pharmacy serving the Almaden Valley but I'm already switching all medications & can to mail order or looking for an alternative store to fulfill orders I need at a store. This is a very bad place that gives one doubts about the folks in healthcare a lot. They are super rude, never have walk-ins, don't even entertain questions regarding walk-ins and always take longer than a day to fill prescriptions - almost as if they were the manufactures taking their sweet time to manufacture after they get a prescription. It is either management that causes shortage in staff or the employees themselves working as they please. Shame on them for being the face of healthcare and doing a shoddy job. Horrible service and customer care. The pharmacy doesn't seem to care about people at all. I've tried getting a prescription transferred to a Safeway close to me but apparently that's to complicated for the idiots behind the counter. I call their pharmacy and have to wait five to ten minutes before someone picks up. I explain the situation to the pharmacist, "Hey, can you please fax over the information to this Safeway for me?" And all I get is the runaround. "Oh you'll have to call the Safeway and have them do that for you." What? She gives me some weird half assed answer followed by mumbling and tells me to hold. I can somewhat hear the other pharmacists in the background doing god knows what. I'm waiting what seemed like five minutes and then the phone hangs up.... You gotta be fu*king kidding me. Completely unacceptable. I was completely disrespected by an employee here tonight for the first time in 30 years. This overly rude employee named JOE. As I go to show the manager the clearance tag to show my item was in fact on with the right SKU# he says to her "she's completely off her rocker!!!!" All because their system/register was not up to date on their own promotions ! I have always tried to be patient and this CVS. It's a small store. There is almost always only 1 cashier. They take forever. I can deal with that with a smile. I can deal with the store not having much of a selection. That I will NOT tolerate that behavior from an employee. Looks like I'm not the only one with a problem at this location. This is my second complaint for the same person, his name is JOSEPH and he is an EXTREMELY RUDE individual. For anyone who's wondering, he's the older man, balding, glasses and tall. I asked him if there were any coupons I could use at the bottom of the receipt and his answer to me was "I don't know, it's not like I check them". When I asked if I could use my 40% off coupon he said it wasn't available, then I insisted that it expires tomorrow and should be there: he huffed and puffed and tipped my bag upside down onto the conveyer belt very harshly, and then asked the lady for a key to scan an override and did it again. He threw my things as he scanned and dumped them in the bag(which I've complained about before) Is this the service we are provided with? Even if he didn't know the answer to my question, there was a better way to answer it. Joseph's employment at CVS should be evaluated. This is a man who refused to sanitize his hands when he blew his nose and proceeded to touch my items and threw my receipt at me on the first week we found out covid happened. I received a call from the store manager after I made a complaint and was told I wasn't the first person who said this and they would "speak with him" Clearly this man needs more than a talking to. read more

I shop here sometimes on my way to visit family and it's my favorite CVS store. The manager Tenia is always so helpful and has an overwhelmingly positive attitude. The store is clean and they always have what I'm looking for. Mainly this store is my favorite because of the managers attitude. Highly disrespectful cashier. I told him politely I don't like to give my cvs card. He scanned my amex and I thought it went through and started walking away as I usually dont get my receipt. I never had a problem before as my cards get accepted in a few seconds. This cashier yelled at me and told me that - he indicated the card didnt go through - how dare i disrespect him - "I told you to wait and you didnt he said'. He could've just politely indicated that ? I told he was rude and he said - "i told you its going through and you cant just walk away!". Usually the store is pretty good but I had a bad interaction with a rude clerk. He seemed too bothered to be working at a job. He was on his cell phone and I asked him to check my items at the register. He insisted I do self check even though no one was in line. When I asked if he could help me at register he tossed some thing down and said "sheesh". I asked "is it a problem?" and he said well yeah it's inconvenient. Seriously? This is my local CVS (formerly known as Longs Drugs), within walking distance from home. I recently came here today, and a number of times in the past even while they were converting the interior of the store over. The store itself isn't quite as huge as some other CVS locations, but it still does have a pharmacy inside. I still like what they have to offer, but I have found that some popular items can run out of stock pretty quick here. One time I had tried to find some replacement Christmas icicle lights that they were sold out of and another time to find a button battery that they were also sold out of. Luckily there are other CVS locations around or alternative drugstores to try and find your items. A solid 3 stars, but I will always be coming back to this local location for most of my business. read more

I'm feeling charitable today, after one of my very first positive experiences with the pharmacy at this location, so it's three stars for the new and improved Almaden drugstore. Pretty impressive considering less than one year ago I was screaming (ok, not screaming, but speaking forcefully) at the pharmacist for her inadequacy and insisting on filing a complaint with the CVS headquarters via the store phone. This was a case in which a CVS employee was too lazy to check the store mailbox to find that my prescription had been sitting there for a week, and created a whole big mess that made me late to a work trip and almost rendered me bed-ridden for the next week without my medication. Sorry, I'm just bitching, but just remember to MAKE THEM CHECK the mail if you are having a prescription sent in because it appeared that no one had checked it for weeks. It looks like they beefed up their pharmacy because I have not seen that fool since and the Dungeons and Dragons guy with the long hair isn't shackled to the place by himself anymore. I was stunned to see an entire four people behind the counter, and Dungeons and Dragons was even wearing an ACDC shirt and looking quite leisurely. Even though I hate CVS and the central role it has come to play in my existence, the selection and organization of the store has improved since it was taken over. No more body wash in the housecleaning section on the opposite side from the personal care section. Condoms are not located right next to the little old ladies waiting in line for their prescriptions and rather tucked away in the more discreet adult diapers aisle. Less random inventory, like picture frames and Spiderman figurines. Sometimes change is good. read more

I'm givin this 3 stars because of its cleanliness n coveinance. Their customer service needs much improvement, especially the pharmacy. If I wasnt tryin to sustain this polite ladylikeness thing I've got going on... I would really get ghetto up in there n on someone cause the pharmacist n the p-techs are extremely rude. The stock is maintained well I suppose, even with sale items. I rarely see it fall short on the items I buy at least. Worst pharmacy ever!! They missed a drug from prescription. I found it and called my doctor to check if doctor's prescription had it. Doctor said I should got it, and it's on prescription. So I had to drive back (with my pain) They never said "sorry". They sought something to blame (to say it's not their fault) in vain. They even called doctor and asked why I need that drug. (They seem to think they should judge and supervise doctor's prescription) In addition, they charged me copay again. (My insurance charges copay/prescription) I asked why they charge me with their mistake, and they insulted me saying why you want it for free. I just gave them $10 since I didn't want to argue anymore. Worst place ever. Never go there. read more
