I've been having a lot of issues with a new doctor I started seeing. Mostly with rx's she's been sending in with a notice to pharmacist to not substitute it with any other brand. The brands she prescribes are expensive & not covered by my insurance. The pharmacy staff called me, informed me of the brands that were the same, but covered under my insurance. But, I would have to get the doctor to send in a new Rx omitting the "may not substitute." I'm having a hard time getting a response from my doctor, so the pharmacy sent me a message asking if I would like them to reach out to the doctor themselves to see if things could get expedited. I always get texts as soon as Rx has been sent, is being filled, & when ready. As well as the estimated cost. When using the mobile app, you get to move to mobile pick-up line, use a card on file, they scan the med and you're out. I also had to recently change my insurance info, & that was easy as well. For the most part the staff is friendly, except for a young guy with strawberry hair pulled back. (Can't remember his name.) he is hilarious & always puts a smile on my face. I have also used the mobile "help" section, where you type in your non-urgent question & they get back to you. I've always gotten a call within an hour or so. The pharmacists are also quick to go to the consult section if a med needs to be discussed. Ok. My 2 cents are put in.

My mom had ordered some items from this CVS Pharmacy location and was told that the order would be delivered yesterday afternoon. Yesterday afternoon came and went and the only thing CVS had sent my mom was a text saying that the order was being prepared and ready to be delivered soon and this text was at 3:00PM. Later we then checked our front stoop and there still was no delivery. So Mom called CVS Pharmacy customer service and went jumping through hoops and when she finally got a hold of an actual human being they told her she was lying and at this time my mother received another text after she dealt with them and the text was a photo of a delivery at another house and not our house and Mom called CVS Pharmacy customer service AGAIN! and this time it got even worse as she tried to complain about what happened they put Mom on hold and then hung up on her. And when you try to call this CVS location it is such an annoying pain to get someone to talk to you because either they too busy or simply cannot help you. The final straw that broke the camel's back was when Mom called this CVS location they changed their story by claiming that the order was delivered yesterday and when my mom kept complaining they had enough and HUNG UP AGAIN! on my mom. I can't figure out how on earth CVS Pharmacy can do deliveries when people get their orders sometimes missing and I think since they partnered with Roadies CVS Pharmacy has really gone downhill and they should offer people an apology credit which is something this CVS location simply needs to do to improve their delivery service

This isn't great in Salinas, where many people speak Spanish. It really slows the line because then they need to wait for a Spanish speaker to attend to the customer. Store: I recognize that this location may be susceptible to theft. I've seen many unhoused, mentally ill and sex workers in this area even though the police station is nearby. The second vaccine trip went fine, but we did not go into the room with the green +, and instead lined up around the greeting card area (weird). As for the items, they usually have a clearance section if thrift is your thing. At the time I was searching for some of the Cadbury eggs. I found some, and the small eggs too... but they turned out to be dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate. Guess customers went crazy for the latter!

Walgreens simply refused to fill it, but didn't tell us for a day while our daughter continued to suffer. We were referred to A&O, and found out they are only in Salinas and their SJ location is closed. My wife spoke to Mariam, a saint, who agreed to bring the prescription with her home and meet my wife in SJ the same day so we could get the medication to our daughter. I've never received service like this from a pharmacy, it was unbelievable. We are so grateful as the rinse almost instantly made our daughter's mouth feel better. What else I also receive a phone call checking up on my pet and asking me for any recommendations how they can do better. I saw another review complaining about 9% surcharge. It is not a surcharge it is a 9.25% Sales that that State of CA charges on medications for pets which businesses are required to collect. So if anything complain to the State of CA not the pharmacy.

Always has been. The pharmacy is extremely friendly and helpful. The store feels a bit "dirty", but that's likely because of the local population, because so does our local target compared to other targets. There's not much staff on the floor not as much as I'd like, but the ones that are there always try to help you and do.
