Usually a clean quick environment. Today I was harassed by a little lady about my backpack. I carry it everywhere. She was yelling from behind the counter, following me in the store, and eventually rudely pointing at a sign with her pointer finger expressing hostility. I'm assuming she created the sign. It was in the corner where it's difficult to see and poory designed.. Regardless of this paper sign, it is not a law to leave your belongings at the door. Be it chicken wings, a beer or anything else he will quickly jump to help. The guy works nonstop running the entire store by himself. Hats off to Singh and 7-11 for servicing our community. The store's staff, particularly employee Singh, provide exceptional service. His dedication and willingness to assist customers are incredibly impressive. From assisting with the selection of snacks, to efficiently processing transactions, Singh consistently demonstrated a welcoming and helpful demeanor. I travel all through california. When my work carries me to Monterey I stay in marina, ca. I come to this 7-11 , and I've never had a need to ever be disrespectful to the employees nor had they ever been rude. But the little Asian lady that works in the morning is bad business. I once went in with my own coffee cup.... I forgot my wallet in my work truck.... told an older white lady I'd be right back and left my coffee cup in the store. When I came back the asian lady started to yell(Yes yell) at me that where was the other coffee I stole at. I was confused since it was only me and my cup was still in the store to which I came back in to pay. This place is getting five stars today because they were the only gas station in the area that does not extort money out of the customer for a credit card purchase, the only way anyone buys $80 worth of gas in 2023. On top of that fact, they were the lowest price gas on the block. Sure the pumps were slow and my hand smelled like gas after I walked away, but I did not feel as ripped off as I would have if I had gone to any of the other nearby gas stations. read more

This is based on customer service by the female that is there most of the time during the day, she must be the owner since she would be fired if she were an em[ployee. She acts as if she is doing you a favor waiting on you, she ignores you until she is ready to take your money. She is on the phone all the time I have never been in there when she wasn't talking on the phone. I have even seen her make a call while waiting on a customer, She is rude and I have only heard her say thank you one time she is usually busy taking on the phone. She dosen't even stop talking on the phone to greet customers she just stares at them and continues talking on the phone. I have been going here for 10 years and have seen attendants come and go. Gas pumps that are finicky. Prices that are crazy high for some items. In all this time I have gone here because they are always open and are a huge convenience for when I am in a rush and need it now. All the pumps are fixed I noticed as well. Super Big Gulps cost $3.59 (!) each, and must be dispensed by attendant. Gas pump out of receipt paper. Sun has bleached gas pumps on east side of station screen's to the point of being unreadable. On the plus side, they do have caffeine-free Diet Coke ... I am betting the most expensive caffeine-free Diet Coke in California! I will not return. read more

I have lived in Marina for 7 years and this store has always had kind and courteous employees until recently that is. The father and son that work as cashiers are not only rude with no customer service abilities but they also lack basic hygiene. Surely there must be better options out there. Dropping in here for a coconut water before heading back to Silicon Valley, I noticed they didn't have much of a selection. I usually prefer a Zico, or One, but with some of the older 7/11's I've tended to notice they stock more soda and haven't ridden the wave of coconut water. Since the selling of this location, the quality and effort just is not there. The workers are rude and angry, un knowledgeable of the products they sell, they yell at each other in front of customers, and just have no want to offer good service. it's so much easier to just go to a different gas station at this point. This 7-11 is an interesting display of contrasts! There are two clerks in the morning who are friendly, polite, helpful, and generally excellent, Norman and Karl. On the other hand, there are two other clerks (who do not wear name tags) who are short, rude, unhelpful, and do not seem to know words like "Thank you." One even tried to keep my change! The only reason I go to the 7-11 is convenience, those days I'm likely to go past another 7-11 I go there. Except for Norman and Karl, this place is a disgrace to the 7-11 chain. And if I encounter the rude clerks much more, I'm likely to quit going here altogether. read more

Been going here for gas for a while now. Its convenient and cheapish. Today, their pumps were down, but rather than say anything over the intercom or come out when 10 people were driving in circles, they waited til we had all swiped our cards at different pumps trying to get it to work. Then this lady comes out and says all the pumps are down. So I had swiped my card twice. I went down the street to a different station, and swipe there and now there's a $75 hold on my card because I've swiped it at all of these pumps. I call my bank. They can't remove the hold. Won't be back to this place. Customer service is important, even at gas stations. read more
