So this is a 24 hour Pharmacy, which is great. With a town like Salinas, they need a place that people that can pick up their medication up at anytime. You wouldn't believe how busy the ER got today. This is the straw that breaks the camel's back with this CVS location. How people manage to get prescriptions delivered with this location i'll never figure out? But every time my father tries to get his prescriptions delivered from this CVS location they claim that they won't deliver and when Dad tried to talk to CVS Customer Service it was impossible to get an actual human being to talk to him and it made my father so mad. I have not done a review on this pharmacy, and due to all the negative comments, I thought I'd put in my 2 cents. This review is solely based on the pharmacy. I've been having a lot of issues with a new doctor I started seeing. Mostly with rx's she's been sending in with a notice to pharmacist to not substitute it with any other brand. The brands she prescribes are expensive & not covered by my insurance. The pharmacy staff called me, informed me of the brands that were the same, but covered under my insurance. But, I would have to get the doctor to send in a new Rx omitting the "may not substitute." I'm having a hard time getting a response from my doctor, so the pharmacy sent me a message asking if I would like them to reach out to the doctor themselves to see if things could get expedited. I always get texts as soon as Rx has been sent, is being filled, & when ready. As well as the estimated cost. When using the mobile app, you get to move to mobile pick-up line, use a card on file, they scan the med and you're out. I also had to recently change my insurance info, & that was easy as well. For the most part the staff is friendly, except for a young guy with strawberry hair pulled back. (Can't remember his name.) he is hilarious & always puts a smile on my face. I have also used the mobile "help" section, where you type in your non-urgent question & they get back to you. I've always gotten a call within an hour or so. The pharmacists are also quick to go to the consult section if a med needs to be discussed. Ok. My 2 cents are put in. read more

I ordered some pictures at this location. Half of them were very blurry. They still made me pay full price for them. I cannot believe this horrible quality of prints. Then they said I could try to print them in store, when I got redirected to the printing area they were all out of order. Full price for 20+ of my pictures being blurry is INSANE. read more

Delivery service left my prescription on the sidewalk, didn't even bother to ring the doorbell. Good thing I have cameras and my father notched a shadow reflection from the window and checked. By the time he got there the delivery person was gone. Contacted the pharmacy and their response was to contact the 3rd party carrier. Zero help and didn't seem too concerned. I will be transferring my prescription from this location. It used to be convenient because of the 24 hour service but that's no longer perk when the service is lacking. read more

So very disappointed today. I dropped off my husband's prescription at 8:37am and told them I was waiting. Checked on it at 9:37am and still not ready. Checked in one more time at 9:55am, still not ready. It is now 10am so I decided to leave. Went to Winchell's to pick up donuts. Served in less than 5 minutes. Sad part also was that I was the only one waiting there. People came and went and still no text. The pregnant lady that took the prescription went on half hour break and came back (she was the second person I asked about the prescription before deciding to leave). Checked with my husband since he was at home in pain to see if he received any text messages. None received from CVS. Will update later when/if we get a text. read more

What is the purpose of CVS pick-up (so-called) service, paying ahead of time and still having to go into CVS to wait in a single long line? On top of their rule that each cash register later forms their own line, not concerned that customers who have already been waiting, are being passed over.Very bad customer service by the Store Manager but 1 Star only because the cashier was personable and doing her job at the first register. read more

Pharmacy line is too long. Only one person working the counter. With the addition of the mobile pickup window, priority to pick up is there. Employees are casually talking behind the counter or on their phones. I'll be looking for a new pharmacy as the wait time here is always 30+ minutes. read more

I was just distraught and in disbelief that a manager would raise her voice to her peers in front of customers - anger issues alert; and, I sensed attitude when the cashier called for help. Also! My dude and I were being watched in the hair care aisle. Lol. I found it funny because we may look young but we have our own businesses to run. We're not the type to steal. Whichever pharmacist works night shift on Fridays thats a male is the most rude and impatient man Ive ever dealt with and ive been picking up medication for along time due to a chronic illness. I was on the phone trying to reconfirm an extra refill for two medications I had my doctor approve for my upcoming 3 week trip and he wouldnt let me finish my sentence to explain and said he couldnt fill it. Dont ever get your medicine filled at nights on the weekends or depend on this guy to listen to your needs. I have no problem with CVS. I go there several times a week and have great service. I find the things I want to buy. I love the extra bucks.

Called pharmacy to find out about the price of a perscription and the woman said that there coupon would be less than my card and said the perscription would be ready in less than 1 hour. I was surprised because I thought it would not be ready until the next day. I called back to make sure it was really ready because I had someone picking it up for me and I didn't want them making a trip if it wasn't ready. The pharmacist had a very heavy accent, so not hearing as well as I use to, I found it very hard to understand him. He then told me there had been a mistake and it was too early. I called the next morning and left a message cause I wanted to know what time it would be ready so I didn't send someone if wasn't ready. The pharmacist who called me back was extremely rude! He talked over me, and being a senior I don't hear that well. He was accusing me of picking my perception up 1 day early in the month before and because of this I should still have some and not need to refill it for another day. He was yelling at me as though I was doing something wrong. I have always filled my perscription on the day that the pharmacy tells me I can. I still don't understand why he treated me like I was breaking the law. I just wanted to know ahead of time when it would be ready so that the person who is kind enough to make a trip to a pharmacy for me would not waste a trip. CVS usually takes a long time because there is always a line and never enough people working. I don't have transportation and I am lucky enough to have someone who helps me, so I try to make the trip for them as convenient for them as possible. This pharmacist made me feel very bad. I originally was just trying to save $60 on a perscription and now I am going to end up paying the extra money somewhere else where the pharmacist doesn't yell at you and treat you so badly. All I wanted was to know when I could pick it up but every single person I talked to had a different story. If they could have just told me on the first time I called, when I was allowed to pick up my perscription, that's all I wanted to know. 3 different peopke gave me 3 different answers and that's just wrong. read more

Incredibly rude, unhelpful conversation with the night shift pharmacist. I was trying to get information about the prescribed medications for my child with special needs & he just kept cutting me off from speaking, repeated the same information multiple times & told me if I had more questions that I would need to come into the store because he had customers to help & basically hung up on me. Um, I am a customer? Or, rather, I WAS a customer. Really disgraceful to treat people/customers who are already vulnerable with such little regard or compassion. read more

Apparently, CVS has determined there is no need at all for them to deal directly with pharmacy customers as you can no longer call the pharmacy and get to talk to someone there. Instead you are told to leave a voice message and they will call back within a hour. Well, it's now been 7 1/2 hours. I just called again because it is after 11 pm and thought the call might go through. No such luck, just got the same recorded message to leave my info and message and they call back in an hour. NOT! Such a bad expirence at this store today! I got a xmas gift from CVS, it was a conair infinityplus hot air styler, it was on sale for $100 normally $139. It comes with 4 or 5 different tools that attach, I tried one and it wasn't for me. So I tried to return it & get a store merchandise card. Carla or Karla helped me. She started the return, I HAD THE RECITE it was purchased dec 24th so it hasnt been 30 days yet, While she started to touch the register, She wasnt asking me how I wanted it back, so I said " can you put it on a gift card, this was a gift" She said "it will go back on your card." I again stated it was a gift. She pointed to the recite & said " you paid with your card" I AGAIN has to state, thats not my card,Its the person who gifted it to me card. She then started to have a attitude & she said she can only return it to the card used, she cant give me a store merchandise card, I asked if i could exchange, she said no. I then asked for a manager. She rudly pushed all the new items I was trying to purchase off the belt, to the side & said wait on register 3. THEN Instead of carla, handing me back the $100 item, that I was trying to return, she kept it under her register .. I grabbed my things and went to register 3. I asked her for MY item back, since I was now at a different register & the simple fact, its literally still MY property. Instead of giving it to me she said " ill hand it to her " as in the manager..If I didn't have my 4 year old daughter with me. I would have not let that happen, It wasnt hers to keep from me. I still owned it, THEY WOULDNT RETURN IT. The manager was nicer, she explained again about the policy But I still dnt belive what they said which was-- "we can't give out a gift card on items that cost over $20" if it is true, then why can't I do a even exchange? I had $40 worth of items i was buying, wouldnt of been that hard to spend $50 more. I am going to call customer service tomorrow or corporate and find out the truth & what else I can do. I dont know Why ANYONE would buy a gift from CVS if the recipient of the gift, can't return/exchange. So frustrating to wait in their ridiculously long line only to find 24 hours wasn't long enough to fill my prescription. Employee walks up to me while I was selecting one and says "sorry, you can't buy anything from this area after midnight". WHAT??? No explanation why beauty products can't be purchased after 12pm. This location needs to add staff, specifically a pharmacist. Often the bottleneck happens as the pharmacist is busy (giving vaccines, dealing with other approvals, consults, etc.) and there's only 1. It's convenient in terms of hours and location but is consistently so slow that you could drive to the Monterey or Seaside locations and be back faster. I used to think it was a peak hours (after work) issue but even early in the day they are backed up. Every time I use this pharmacy, I am reminded why I should just drive farther. read more

I've finally had it with this pharmacy. I've always dealt with the long lines (always seems to be 8-10 people waiting in line). There's typically 4 staff members behind the counter, with only 1 of those tending to the customers in line. However, yesterday was the final straw. I had been sick with the flue for 3 days and made myself go to Dr.s on Duty, so I could get a prescription. Finally got my prescriptions and take them to So Main St CVS. I handover my prescriptions to get filled, the female pharmacy tech takes my prescriptions, then moments later, tells me that they have 2 of the 3 prescriptions that I need, and that I should drive to the Nob Hill pharmacy, to get the missing prescription. So, I ask for a copy of the prescription, so I can show the Nob Hill Pharmacist, but she says that she cannot give it back to me, since it's already been "processed". I then ask her, how am I able to explain what I need at the Nob Hill pharmacy, without the prescription?? She says, "just have them call us, when you get there". I drive to Nob Hill, speak with the pharmacist, and he promptly tell me that they've been out of this prescription for the past 24 hrs. I go back to CVS to pick up the 2 prescriptions that they do have. At this time, I let the same female pharmacy tech know that Nob Hill has been out of this prescription for the past 24 hrs and that she should not send anyone else on a wild goose chase. She could not have been less concerned, with the inconvenience. I go home and call another 5 pharmacies around town to see if they have the prescription, but each pharmacy has questions as to the type (pill or liquid), mg's, etc, but without the prescription, I'm unable to answer their questions. Do yourself a favor and go to any other pharmacy in town, you definitely cannot find any worse customer service than So Main St CVS. read more
