Avoid this CVS pharmacy at all costs - even if it's convenient to pick up a few things at Target at the same time. It's not worth it! I went in here to get my child's prescription filled and we have insurance, the doctor's prescription was clear so there was literally no reason why it should have taken about 1 hour and 45 minutes from when I started waiting to drop it off to payment for the medication. It started with the fact that the tech and the pharmacist ignored me for over 5 minutes while I stood there and waited. The pharmacy area was empty at that time. Once the tech finally took my information, she keyed in the data wrong and so it kept rejecting. She waited over a half hour with our insurance company and I called them also to discover the miss-key errors. I tried to let her know but she was back behind a large computer monitor and the other tech who had shown up during this time was rude and told me to wait to the side. She didn't want me to explain what I had learned after talking to insurance company. She was very busy helping others as was the pharmacist but they didn't seem to care that I had been there about an hour at that point. Finally, the pharmacist came to show me that they had the correct data (finally) and that the tech was unable to resolve and they were going to have to call the CVS helpdesk to help. Finally, at least I did get a response...or course we were at about an hour and 15 minutes after I had arrived by this time. I kept thinking I should leave but our son needed the medication. The pharmacist asked me to leave and said she would call. I left and they called awhile later and said it was done. When I went in one tech helped me but otherwise, no apology or even just a "hey, I know this has been impossibly long, we apologize that you have had to wait so long". Just basic courtesy. The pharmacist did not tell me about the meds which I thought was required if it's a new medication and I wanted to ask her about it but I just left, figured I could look up the med side effects on the documentation. I get that there are mistakes and/or issues between systems but once you arrive, you are now first in the queue over other people and I felt that they cared more about helping others and just didn't seem to care that I had spent so long at their pharmacy. I have not been to this one before but CVS is nation-wide so that was important to me but I won't be back. read more
