Just called this location with the help of my fiancé. He was transferred to a very rude rep. He told her he would like to check on the status of a new prescription and she responds "ok, so what do you want me to do?" He then dumbed it down and said "please tell me if my prescription is ready." He then asked her to update his insurance over the phone, which was also met with rudeness. She cut him off at several points telling him he was giving her the wrong information. I jumped in at that point and matched her nasty attitude and told her we can read the card. This is the number on the card. I don't know what entitles these representatives to be so rude, but if I acted that way at my job, I wouldn't have a job. DO BETTER! Worst pharmacy. Incredibly unprofessional. No wonder they can't keep their pharmacy staff. I arrived 5 minutes before their "lunch break" and I was refused service by the manager for a refill that I just received a call for was finally ready. No one else was in line, the gate was not down and the pharmacy was visibly open but they refused to just hand me the package that's ready with my name on it. read more

A typical well-stocked, clean, well-run CVS pharmacy, located, unfortunately, in a not-so-great neighborhood .... there are crackheads and druggies all over the parking lot during daytime hours. The store does nothing about it, however. The clerks inside can either be very bored or very helpful, it all depends. I have honestly found the pharmacy a bit condescending and little bit cantankerous on the occasion. Prices at CVS are competitive. They are lower than those at Walgreen's yet 1.5 x higher than those at Walmart Pharmacy. If you can make the haul to Walmart, then please do go to Walmart for value for dollar. If time and convenience are important to you, then by all means, do stop here. The store it clean and the aisles are well stocked and in a very logical order. Just remember, however, that the parking lot outside is Phoenix at its worst ... all the human debris that can gather in one small lot. It can be dangerous and I know of at least seniors who were mugged going from their cars to the pharmacy. read more

Normally I don't feel compelled to write a review for a CVS etc.---however this was a very bad experience. Had a family member text me the number for my 30% discount on some freeze dried strawberries & some granola snacks. Nothing major, but after some difficulty, a nice person gave their number to get the discount. Even after that, the cashier screws the order up & tells me to just pay. I explained how I just want to get going & he just gives a blank stare. Asks another cashier to help & he says " do you want to waste more time" ? Honestly was a little shocked & decided to leave. WORST CVS EXPERIENCE EVER! Filling a Med for my mom who just had surgery. Quoted 30 mins. I come back 30 mins later and a rude tech tells me to try again in 20. I come back in 20. Same rude tech says come back in five. Go back in five and they basically throw the script at me. GO ANYWHERE else but here. I never take the time for reviews but this was horrific. read more

Can't give zero stars. I thought I would give the Minute Clinic a try for a minor issue. I secured my date and appointment time on-line. I arrived to my appointment early; checked-in via the kiosk with my code. I waited. I could see my wait status clearly. It went from 2 minutes, back up to 7 minutes and then I was next patient. I was the only patient on the status board at this time. Two other patients check-in after I did. One of those patients was called ahead of me even though his wait status was at 12 minutes. The other person waiting was then also called ahead of me. I alerted the clinic staff member that I was next. She stated, "It, showed you weren't here." I pointed to the status board and stated I was next. The patient stated, "I'll be quick." The clinic staff said nothing more and made no attempt to problem solve and remedy the situation. I did not feel valued and was easily dismissed. This is not how people seeking medical treatment should be treated. I left and called customer service so that supervisors could hear this incident and determine why I was not showing up in their view or better the process. read more

If there were an option for ZERO stars, that is what I would rate this pharmacy. I often call before going over to pick up my prescriptions because they are seldom ready when promised. Several times I have called and held longer than 25 minutes. Today, at the 22 minute mark, someone finally picked up then hung up. Because the customer service is so bad I had been using the CVS at 40 street and Camelback but the extra time and miles finally persuaded me to give them another try. They've only gotten worse over the past year. I would suggest the extra time and miles are worth it to anyone needing a neighborhood pharmacy. read more

MINUTE CLINIC IS THE WORST!!! What a joke you make a appointment for a vaccination and because you are a few minutes late they cannot see you and want you to reschedule. Every business has a 10-15 minute grace period and is understanding. If you are closing at 5:30 you should not schedule appointments at 5pm. I would never recommend this business and service to anyone. What a wast of time. This doctor and the person up front should be fired at the minute clinic. For you not allow a child to be vaccinated blows my mind. Shame on you! read more

Very frustrating experience. I came here to get my passport photo done. I walked up to the counter that had a giant overhead sign that said, "PHOTO" on it. I waited for 10 minutes as I watched cashiers and the manager chit-chatting behind the counter. I kept smiling, but they just looked away. Talking about whatever they did over the weekend was much more important. Finally, I had to say, "Excuse me?!" rather loudly because of the volume of their conversation. The manager turned my way and said, "Oh! Has anyone helped you?". Fast-forward a couple minutes. The manager didn't know how to properly take the photo. She didn't tell me when she was taking it, and when I requested to see the photos she said, "Oh. I already printed one." She made me wait then gave them to me, told me to go to the cashier's counter, and walked off. My photo looks incredibly pissed off. Hopefully the consulate won't reject my Visa based on how angry I look, haha. Overall, annoying experience. I won't be using this CVS Pharmacy again (unless, of course, there is an apocalypse). read more

Come by with a prescription at noon and am told it will take 2 hours to fill. Obviously not a speedy place but I say ok. Come back 5 hours later and they run all over to even find the order and then tell me it's going to be another 15 minutes. I shop at this CVS location for the last 5 years great staff that greets and has great customer service up until now...I am literally in the paring lot writing this review after this experience. An new employee to me because she is a new face she happens to be an asian women no name tag and after our interaction I do not want to ask her name 1st she called me a little girl??? Taken back a little but I had a lot of items so I left the laundry soap in the cart.until age started to scan but instead she asked me and my reply was yes I am purchasing the soap bit I will put it up once this area is clear she was so obsessed with the soap and me putting on the counter as if I needed to run out with it. I told her to stay professional and scan my items please but no she could not do that then she bagged my items and placed them behind the counter until I paid! This is not ok and as a Nonprofit President and CEO someone that serves.the community. I was racially profiled and this person has to go. I am not pleased with service today and may not return as long as that employee is still employed. I am so upset and dumb founded that people really wake up like this and can live with themselves. Avoid this pharmacy especially if you are on any critical medications and can't risk errors and/or long delays in getting your prescriptions refilled. CVS seemed like a safe option after my insurance plan and Walgreen's parted company, but has proven to be anything but. It has now taken seven different attempts to get a simple prescription refill, one that was easily filled correctly the first time at Walgreen's with no issues. CVS has said it was ready when it wasn't; filled it with less medication than the prescription specifies; argued over what the prescription calls for; told me on one visit that it was not covered in my plan without even checking; finally recognized they had not done it correctly and said they would; notified me it was ready to pick up and then called back to say oops, they needed more time to get the rest of it in; notified me that the new version was ready for pick up only to give me the old, incorrect version and then go to the back to find the newer version of it, which I purchased, only to find they had gotten closer to being correct but had once again shorted me on the medication. I have cancer, and the time and energy it has taken to deal with this one prescription has been very wearing. Fortunately this is not a life-saving medication, but if a simple prescription is handled this badly I would not trust the people working at this pharmacy to handle a complex one. Additionally, the majority of the individuals that I have encountered have been rude and curt, with no real interest in serving the customer. read more

This location also seems to be making up their own rules regarding coupon exemptions and returns, which is ridiculous from a massively large chain store. Avoid if you can! The CVS at Bethany Home and 7th Street is far more pleasant, though it carries less stock than this location (bare shelves rule there). Personally, I've had much better customer service at the pharmacies in Costco and Safeway...and CVS stores in the east valley. read more

My boyfriend was racially profiled here. He is a black man. He came in to buy medicine, and when it was his turn to approach the register the cashier stopped him and asked him to wait for another attendant to come and watch his transaction. So apparently, he needed a witness just in case something happened. He wasn't new or in training. After my boyfriends transaction, he simply told the witness he wasn't needed anymore. I had half a mind to go inside the store and curse them out but my boyfriend would not let me. CVS should be ashamed of these workers. read more

You'll get what you need here.....from toilet paper to beer. But getting in and out of the parking lot is a nightmare. CVS has gotten sooooo expensive too. I went in real quick just to grab some ice cream. $6.99. Wow. Does it contain gold speckles and pearls? Same thing at Fry's is less than $5 and less than $4 at Walmart. They rope me in once in a while though if they have something that I always buy on sale or happen to send me one of their 20% coupons in the mail. Bottom line: Between the parking, the lines and the panhandlers out front, might as well drive a bit further and go to Fry's a couple blocks away. read more

I'd prefer to do business with a local pharmacy, but I want a Pharmacist available 24/7 (it's just a Psycho-Ceramic thing (for the uninitiated Psycho-Ceramic means I'm a Crack Pot)). This store isn't as nice as doing business with a local, but the people are friendly, and there's merchandise on the shelves, and the folks here know where it is every time I ask. The pharmacy department is outstanding. They have endured constant aggravation from my insurance company and at times waited on hold with the insurance company for hours. Thankfully the insurance company improved its responsiveness, but I never heard a complaint (except against the insurance company), and everyone showed a willingness to help me when they had every right to feel resentment. When I have a medication that is not covered, they always find the best discount card for me. What more could you ask for? read more

After 15 minutes, I finally tell the pharmacist to call me as I had an appointment to go to. Then I get a call its ready 30 minutes later. Really 45 minutes for 12 needles and syringes? The staff was not friendly, I may not switch to this to my favorite neighborhood pharmacy after all. read more

CVS is pretty standard, right? Pharmacy, overpriced beauty section (but you sure avoid going to Ulta if you can find what you're looking for there), great sales--on booze, on food, stationery, games--whatever. When I lived across the street, I used to come here at night when I was bored and it wasn't busy. Now, though, there are new employees and unfair practices. On more than one occasion, the employees have held sale items for themselves behind the counter. Today, there were no Connect Four on the shelf, but there was one in the cart behind the counter. When the manager was asked about it, she shrugged and pointed at another employee. I've worked in retail before, and this goes against most store policies. So, the next time you get a CVS flyer, remember that if it's okay for the employees to shop the sales for themselves here--then it might be happening all over the place. And if they can put one item behind the counter for themselves, then they can put a lot more for their friends. Prepare to be disappointed. Make the extra trip and hit up Wal-Mart. read more

Okay so Edwin from the Pharmacy adds so much value to this location. I haven't paid my car payment yet this month and have some grocery to purchase that need to last me until the 8th my next payday..... why this is important is because I went to pick up my Anti-anxiety medication and sleeping medication that I paid 80 bucks for last time and assumed I would pay this time and just struggle a bit until payday. When i went to pick up my prescription he offered to contact my Doctor to get it covered by my insurance or to get me a discount in case I needed it that day, I had 5 days left of medicine so I asked if we could check with my doctor. He called me 2 days later notifying me what my doctor said for the next time to get it covered but this time he could get me an additional discount, I paid 37 dollars (after tax)opposed to my expected 80 which conveniently gives me food money until next pay day and enough to pay my car payment this month. I really want it to be know how that 40 bucks really positively impacted my situation and he went above and beyond to help me out with it. Seriously he's the greatest, I appreciate it so much! I am running out of CVS pharmacies to get my prescriptions correct. I went in early yesterday with a prescription for medicine that had to be ordered from God-knows-where, and was assured that I would be able to pick it up today. Well, my prescription sat there for 24 hours before anyone got around to placing the order. Because it is Friday now, the medicine will not arrive until Monday. I need my medicine and nobody seems to care. Thanks, whatever your name is, for your cluelessness. One week later I have finally been advised that THIS DRUG STORE CANNOT GET MY MEDICINE, and they told me to look elsewhere. This review is only for the pharmacy. My employer forces us to use CVS for long term prescriptions. This is unfortunate because I have had nothing but horrible customer service experiences here. I've either dealt with a pharmacy tech who is incompetent, rude, or lazy-and on occasion all three. Just a few recent examples: I called about their generic prescription plan that you pay an annual membership fee for. I wanted to see if I could buy a membership for my dog's medication. The girl said "um, nah. that's not something we offer. you can ask your vet for references". Okay whatever. I went to Walgreens to fill the prescription and before paying the pharmacist stopped me and told me about their similar program and explained that I could "of course!" Use it for animal medication, as long as it was available. I called CVS to refill my own prescription. They filled it as a 90 day supply a few months back, and then this last time as a 30 day. I wanted them to refill as a 90 (I never asked them to switch to 30) and the girl on the phone gave me attitude when she replied "we can fill it but it depends on if your insurance will allow it". She really can't see my prescription history? So I say "okay" and wait while she checks. She says "okay looks like we can do that". Then she calls back later in the afternoon and leaves a voicemail saying that it cannot be filled at all until July 26th. So I call the automated system and figure I'll just have the 30 day refilled. The system stops me and says my prescription is available for pickup?! So we go to CVS to pick up what I expect to be the 30 day because homegirl said they couldn't fill the 90 in her voicemail. Adam was our cashier/pharm tech and I started to explain the scenario and he interrupted with "this is for 90 days" like I was out of place for asking. No apologies for the confusion, nothing. Treated me like an idiot while watching me fumble with the electronic signature release pad as well. Cut your hair and reel in the attitude, sir. Employees-stop acting like you're smarter than everyone just because you took organic chemistry. I can see how the job sucks, but I didn't choose it for these folks. They chose this for themselves. So, if you have a choice, don't use this pharmacy! read more

Constantly making mistakes. They filled my prescription with the wrong dose. I didn't notice until I took it and felt funny. I ended up in the ED with low blood pressure. When j contacted them all they said was that they would give me the correct medication free. When I wanted to file a formal written complaint I was told I would need to contact the corporate office. Going through the drive thru was a very unpleasant experience. After my 7 month olds doctor appointment and diagnosis of one ruptured ear drum and the other in its way, we went to CVS to get him a prescription. My son screaming the entire ride we finally get there and he falls asleep along with my 2 year old. So I've got two kids finally asleep I pull through the drive thru with a crabby greeting from Julie, a pharmacist wearing FAR too much make up and exhibiting an attitude like she's got somewhere else to be. I asked kindly in addition to the antibiotic for the infant Tylenol the doctor told me to get as well. She said "I can't do that right now we are just too busy" I could clearly see NOBODY IN LINE and one other car besides mine. I told her my situation that the baby just fell asleep and he's been screaming for 3 days and she just shrugged her shoulders and said "bummer". I have been to CVSs FAR more busy that have been able to through in a Tylenol for me to purchase at the drive through. My recommendation for Julie is to at least draw her eyebrows on more friendly so that at least people who see her that don't have to deal with her might think she likes her job. read more

Good old CVS. Way overpriced medications if you have to pay cash. One prescription antihistamines is over 200 dollars for a 3 month supply from CVS and little over 30 dollars at Costco (which you don't need a membership to use their pharmacy btw) If you need a scheduled two medication filled, good luck if you want it filled at CVS. If it's not in stock, they won't hold the script and fill it when it comes in stock. They won't tell you over the phone if they have it in stock if you call ahead. Understandable, where it gets stupid, is when you present them with a valid prescription and they refuse to call any other CVS pharmacy to ask where it could be filled. One time, after traveling to four different CVS's, I broke down in tears, frustration and pain and begged the technician to help. She called a location she thought might have it in stock, and she got her butt chewed by that location for trying to help me, but they did have it, and they did fill it. After that experience, I switched pharmacies to Costco, and never looked back. CVS is a convenience store that also happens to dispense medications, and because of that, you get convenience store service at convenience store inflated prices. Unless there's a medication that you have to have at 3 AM (and it happens) I would stay the heck away. read more

I went to this CVS for the first time on 2/18/16. I only had to pick up a prescription, so I went to the drive thru. The girl was very friendly and did her job well. I give her 5 stars. The reason I gave a 4 star rating is because I subtracted 1 star for the annoying pillars that make it impossible to get a car closer to the drive thru window. I know they are needed to protect the building, but they can be mounted closer to the building, just as the curb could've been poured a little closer as well. I am a quadriplegic and since I can't grasp things I need to reach for things with both hands. Luckily, the girl there realized this and put everything (including my change) into a plastic bag with a handle so when the drawer slid out, the handle was facing me and easy to reach. So again, the girl at the window gets 5 stars! read more

The store mislabeled the price of merchandise and wouldn't honor the price given. The employee then tried to talk down to me liken it was my fault because he had it labeled at the higher price at a different spot in the store. I had to get a manager involved. After this experience I have still shopped here because it is close, but I truly loathe going here. read more

Started feeling under the weather on the 16th... thinking I should get tested because of the pandemic... they had no appointments available until the 19th... that's 3 1/2 days is a long time to worry about being tested when you have to worry about work, the children in your life and elderly family members. I arrived the morning of my appointment and was told that testing was drive thru only. This huge price of information was not mentioned at all any any of the process booking the appointment, nor any of the subsequent emails or text messages they sent. I asked if o could just walk through, and they said no, I needed to have a car... I told them I don't have a car because of a head injury that prevents me from driving... they said that they couldn't help... shows how much this company and this location cares about containing the COVID pandemic... and on top of that wasted days of my valuable time waiting for this appointment... this is truly disgusting... I will never shop at this location again, nor CVS as a whole.... very bad policy. read more
