I have used CVS for years and when I moved to my present location, I transferred all my prescriptions to the CVS on Lynnfield Street in Peabody. At first the pharmacy employees were really nice. Then CVS hired the rudest, slowest, stone-faced people on the planet to work the counters. I started having my prescriptions delivered. The last delivery took 12 days to arrive, and I live less than two miles away. The package was crushed, had another person's name and address sticker added to the box, my name and address was scratched out, it went from Peabody to two other states and back to Massachusetts and finally to my house. Seriously? Now I'm back to picking up the prescriptions myself. Also, when I find something online that I need and it states it is IN STOCK, I go to the store and guess what? It is NOT in stock. Jayden behind the pharmacy counter gets really inconvenienced when customers need to pick up their prescriptions. The attitude is unbearable and unnecessary. If your job is deemed to be that bad by you, then quit. Don't take it out on everyone else. I needed an emergency prescription, Dr wrote on rx (patient on their way to you) before sending it in. I arrived at the pharmacy 20 minutes later to be told it would be another 20 minutes, ok their busy, so 30 minutes later I asked if my prescription was ready, was told another couple minutes....and kept being told this for another hour....finally I got loud and asked one last time "Will My prescription be ready any time soon" then the pharmacist came over and told me they were out of the medication!!!!! Now this couldn't have been told to me in the beginning? It was also now to late to reach my Doctor to send in something else.....this pharmacy is very mismanaged, they never answer their phone, I've seen 6 techs working (standing around) and been told they don't have enough help!!!!! CVS overall is failing. The stores are sparse and they "close" the pharmacy every day from 1:30 to 2 then closed by 7. Have they not heard of staggered lunches? Covid has brought many bad habits to retailers and they wonder why stores are closing. read more

The store itself is pretty good, the employees are well manored though occasionally the younger ones will be a bit chatty. The Pharmacy... The people back there are not the best and I know several people who have run into issues there. The most recent was the Dr office sent 5 faces to them before they "received" it.... only reason they get 1,star is because you need to say something. the most incompetent pharmacy I've ever dealt with. picked up a script and got home and noticed 1 missing. called MD and they got receipt confirming pharmacy received. called pharmacy ... 32 minutes on hold... nobody answered. called back... 22 minutes on hold ... nobody answered. go to pharmacy... person at register says script on hold . why??? I don't know ... you have to go to consultation desk. already two very unhappy people in front of me dealing with the same incompetent bullshit. finally, it's my turn . the medication is back ordered. so you couldn't have told me that when I picked up other Med and saved me almost 2 hours on hold and a trip to the pharmacy??? time for a new pharmacy!!! no excuse for this!!!! read more

This pharmacy is not staffed consistently well. Especially in holiday weekends. This results in generally slow poor service. Applies to whether you are in store, dialed in on phone, or in the drive through. Search for a better serving pharmacy. read more

(This review is solely for the pharmacy.) I have a hard time swallowing pills. There I said it. You can get all the laughs out now. I'm a grown man, and I hate swallowing pills. Are you over that? Good. So, I went to my most local CVS to pick up a prescription that I've had before. Usually I get tablets. This time I got capsules that are almost impossible for me to swallow. I asked the cashier if anything could be done, and she spoke to the pharmacist. This pharmacist looked up from where she was, which was about 10 feet away, and said "What do you mean you can't swallow them? What's the problem?" In front of several lab techs and a line of customers behind me. Excuse me? Is it really any of your business? Let me answer for you honey. It's not, nor was it the business of the 6 or 7 other people who easily overheard you. I asked you a simple question, and I expected a polite, professional answer, not judgment. She called some other CVS to see if they had the tablets, looking sour and all judgy and triumphantly slammed down the phone and announced that they didn't have what I was looking for either. I asked for a refund at this point and she looked like I had just asked her to run a marathon barefoot, uphill, in the snow. The cashier was very nice, but the pharmacist was nasty, rude, and unprofessional. I called the next closest CVS, and they had the tablets I asked for in 60 minutes. Imagine that. read more

This CVS Pharmacy is the WORST pharmacy I have ever experienced. My prescriptions are never ready on time and not to mention that for the past 90 days they have been OUT of my everyday medication. I have been to this pharmacy prior to it opening due to a time crunch and they don't even open on time. Lastly, they started screaming an individuals name and their prescription. Talk about a HIPAA violation! I am so unimpressed it's a shame. read more

The worst one of the chain. While ridiculously high prices are the norm at CVS, this store also suffers from CONVENIENTLY always having the better choices out of stock. See a cheap alternative to what you're buying on the shelf? You can be sure that one will be out of stock. EVERY time, to the point where it must be purposeful. read more

I Have never wrote a review but if anyone cares to read these I can support the effort of the PHARMACISTS there all smart and beautiful women with great work ethic. So picture any great quarterback ((pharmisist) calling out the play in shotgun (prescription) while the coach is changing the play in his headset (answering phone calls) with a 3-4 defense (customers) infront of the offensive line (support staff). The ball is snapped and the offensive line stands up and starts talking about there love life or people that piss them off and causally walks away to the bench, the quarterback is left unprotected and scrambles to throw to an open receiver (cvs customers) But they only hit 15 out of 45 passes due to poor coaching of the offensive line and injuries due to several false starts (support staff unable to due there job in ringing up prescription thru wrong insurance) offensive unsportsmanlike conduct (lady that has horrible customer service attitude and a bad short hair cut with glasses) she is awful and causes the game to go into overtime by way of personal attitude misconduct. read more

CVS is in walking distance so although it's a small store, it's convenient. I have been here dozens and dozens of times with no problem. Yesterday, I went in for an exchange, plus I bought an additional 5 items. The cashier HEATHER was not only unpleasant, once she saw that I had coupons she treated me like a leper. Last time I checked, store policy allows coupons. You would think i was taking it out directly of her pocket. Some individuals simply should not interact with the public and she's definitely one of them. UPDATE : I now have to go back because she didn't apply 2 of the coupons. SERIOUSLY?! I had 5 items and 3 coupons. Not rocket science. Will definitely go out of my way to shop at another location. 2 stars for convenience, selection & past experience. read more

I ordered 510 photos labeled the albums online and when I picked them up all of the photos were mixed around. I'm really upset because now I have to spend the wasted time sorting through all of them because someone didn't do their job right!!!!! read more

Seems to be the reputation of any CVS that the one thing that is there primary job is prescription drugs which they are totally inept. Twice we have received "your prescription is ready" messages which when we went to pick up we were told it was "rejected by the insurance company" because they wanted us to take a 90 day supply. Makes no sense for a prescription that was already filled before would now need to be changed, staff was no help at all, attitude was "not our problem call your doctor for a new prescription" Why send phone messages if they don't mean anything.
