Worst pharmacy experience ever! I was helped my Stephen. He was painfully slow and you could barely hear him when he spoke. I waited 20 min to be helped with only 2 people in front of me, and when I finally got to the front said my rx would be $60. I always pay $10. When I said that he rolled his eyes and gave me attitude. I've been going to this Walgreens pharmacy for a while but I will never go back in fear that Stephen will be the one to help me. The pharmacy here is terrible. They have messed up, delayed, or got my prescription Info wrong multiple times. My husband has had the same experience. I would switch to CVS, but the same thing happened there! I moved here from out of state in November and never had these problems w Walgreens before. Don't go there for digital passport photos. I just paid $18 for passport photos so I can renew my passport. At Walgreens, in order to get a digital photo to submit online, you have to get the physical photos. Fine. Well it turns out the digital photo doesn't meet the state department requirements because the background doesn't come out white, so is therefore useless. The store employee edits the physical photos to make the background white, but for some reason can't edit the digital photo. I can make a trip back to get my money back, in addition to finding somewhere else to go and get the photo done again, and hope it's done right this time. read more

I was going in for a flu shot and on the way in the cashier was leaving the building pulling his mask on in a huff. Starting smoking a cigarette RIGHT in front of the entrance. I had to hold my breath to walk in. I'd anticipate that a pharmacy would be more covid-compliant but they were passing used pens around in the pharmacy area and did not have markings for spacing. Then to get the flu shot I had to shuffle past several folks in a small waiting area. I wish they would take some time to figure out more ways to space people out! read more

I made an appointment online for a Covid booster on a Saturday, and when I got to the store, the pharmacy was closed, and when I asked a clerk she said it was closed all weekend. When I told her I had an online appointment she said she knew that the online system let you make a weekend appointment even though no one was there to give the shots, and said she didn't know why. Don't waste your time. Book your shot somewhere else. Unbelievable they can't fix such a simple glitch. read more

Warning to anyone using the Fed Ex drop off - they steal packages ... the manager is in on it too. I suggest if you have dropped off anything there - get an immediate receipt with a tracking number and check the date - I think the entire store is in on this. Depending on what's in the package ( mine was expensive make up) it might be more alluring to them... I would never go there. All the employees look like their on drugs. They' have a full blown theft operation there . I've already reported to every law agency I can. read more

They are out of stock on half the things you need and the pharmacy is terribly slow. There's no clear line or place to stand when you go. The parking is also horrible and the spaces aren't big enough for even a compact car. read more

There are no words to convey just how much I hate this Walgreens. It's achieved a level of customer non-service that I've never experienced elsewhere. And I really tried. It's extremely convenient to where I live, so I took time writing to Walgreens corporate and then speaking to one of the store managers. They were very professional and receptive to the input but nothing changed. Since then, I go well out of my way to go anyplace other than here. BTW, I'm extremely uncomfortable with some reviewers use of terms like "ghetto" in their descriptions. But it's irrelevant in that this store ASPIRES to "sketchy customers" being the biggest issue. Fill the place with naked super models riding unicorns and it's still a horrible place to shop. read more

When I called due, to the New Years holiday and our travel plans , Tiffany was so super nice and helpful to transfer it to their Beverly store. Some of the cashiers can be very rude and snippy, as if I am the one on their time. If they're not being snippy, they're usually throwing each other under the bus with comments like, "We're supposed to ask that, the company makes us, etc". It's very convenient, because the bus stop is right outside. If you're that desperate to go to a Walgreens, the one on Boston Street is much nicer. read more

One of the worst experiences I've ever had at a store I hope that owners read a I came here October 27, 2019 I was extremely ill (About an hour later after this trip I ended up in the hospital er then admitted with pneumonia) was leaning over the counter near the beauty section having a coughing fit trying not to vomit from coughing so hard & the manager named Stephanie (supposedly I didn't check her name tag )didnt say hi hello or anything but came rudely and said she needed the counter I explained that I was very ill and she may want to disinfect it As I wasn't sure I was contagious or not I was on the phone on hold with my doctor and had stepped into the store to figure out if I can get something over the counter for my coughing and what I thought was a cold that came on suddenly. I could tell she was having a hard night because she mentioned that people had stolen her Paper towels and she didn't have anything to wipe the counter way I think she may have used her sleeves I'm not sure but I brushed it off as her having a rough night considering it was so busy. While on hold with my doctors office in LA I was so weak I went to sit over by the pharmacy so I wouldn't pass out or vomit from coughing so much I didn't want to leave the store until I knew what the doctor was going to do considering the pharmacy was closed I was hoping to just get something at the store. Stephanie treated me like dirt never been treated this way and I still don't understand why she had followed me to the back I guess and said "I needed to get up" When I asked her why and I explained I was making a phone call and asked to sit until the phone call was done because I didn't want to throw up on the store floor Or pass out she said to a think someone he was security I'm not really sure as he didn't have a uniform or a tag on that I saw "get her out of here" never been kicked out of a store in my life I wasn't dressed up for Halloween and I hadn't had any alcohol I could understand if I was a homeless person or somebody he was drunk and belligerent that I would be treated the way I was but she had no reason to treat me like that I had a red sweater on and a trenchcoat and some black jeans nothing Halloween about me And even if there was no one should be treated like that She turned a would be paying customer To someone that is now going to share her story everywhere she can and contact corporate regional managers etc. I'm a VP of customer service and I will go out of my way to make sure that the story is heard. This is not somebody he should be a manager let alone working in any retail store clearly she does not have customer service skills in the slightest and it's definitely not a people person at all to be honest she seems like a miserable person in general. This place is outrageous. I live across the street. I would rather drive to get my prescriptions or even a candy bar. The staff is rude. I was lied to and then accused of being a liar by management. This pharmacy didn't give me all my script. The said the double counted & that should be a circle around the quantity, but there wasn't. And because it is a controlled substance wouldn't refill it when I ran out. I suggest that you count every pill before you pay for the script. read more

Worst pharmacy EVER!!! For some strange reason the pharmacy wouldn't refill my prescription which was a 30 day supply, until the 32nd day!! The college educated Pharmacist either can't do basic math, or just makes up his/her own rules!! The pharmacist even went so far as to put a note in my account which stated that I couldn't pick my script up until the 32nd day. When I asked why said pharmacist would do such a thing, the other pharmacy workers working at the time could only shrug their shoulders instead of fixing the problem. Never again!! read more

First off, I will verify what a couple of the other reviews say about the parking lot. It's small, arranged poorly, and other drivers always use it to cut between the streets at each end. It's a nightmare, and I never park in the lot if I don't have to. As far as other people's claims about the cops being here constantly, well, my experience with this store differs. Maybe I just have good timing. Maybe the other reviewers have bad timing. I don't know, but in several years of coming here for one thing or another a couple of times a week, I have personally only seen the police in here once. As far as the "scary people" and panhandlers are concerned, there's an MBTA bus stop right outside the store, and a homeless shelter within a 5-minute walk. You do the math and decide whether or not you think that's "scary". I don't. Overall, the store is fairly clean and organized. I generally only have trouble finding what I'm looking for if they've recently moved things around. Admittedly, the staff doesn't always bother me with a greeting, but I've never experienced a flat-out rude employee here, either. I have to say, Melissa M.'s review is absolutely nothing like my typical experience at this store. I'd say that maybe it's the difference 5 years can make, but I was coming here regularly back then, too, and don't remember the store being anything like the way she describes it. And as far as Jenna M.'s review is concerned, the only times it has ever taken longer than a couple of minutes to pay for something, in my experience, it was because one of the customers in line ahead of me was arguing over the price of something, or trying to use a coupon on something other than what the coupon was for, or some other such nonsense, and the cashier invariably called another employee over to help with the line in the meantime.
