I was having some difficulty getting my medication transferred out of state and they had to get it verified by my Doctor. I ended up having to get in touch with my doctor who was on vacation and thank god picked up the phone, I had her on the phone, the tech then told me she couldn't talk to a cell phone. Then I put it on speaker. The tech was very suspicious of me. There was no reason to be because if you looked at my medication list I have been on the same medications for 10 years. I don't know what kind of problems this store has had w prescriptions being stolen or fraud but it was a little much. I understand certain medications require doctors to sign off on prescriptions, but they weren't helpful. They were rude and pretty much happy that I was having difficulty getting my medications. She had a rude smile on her face the whole time. I had made plans at the beginning of that week with this pharmacy and let them know about the transfer. They said nothing about having my doctor sign off on the prescription when they filled until I had gotten there on Friday. They could have helped me, but they made things more difficult. I don't recommend these people, even though they are close to my parents house, I will use cvs from here on out

He will literally go on and help with any questions or concerns you might have, about your prescriptions, along with the items in the store. All the pharmacists and people who work there are great! The only thing that I wish was different was that that they would be open even for a couple hours on Sundays (esp. since lately that happens to be the day when mu prescriptions can be filled). Anywhere that is willing to call and deal with the insurance company for you get an "A+" from me! :)

I had a quick trip to the North Shore to visit in-laws and I was flying out a couple days later on a business trip out of Logan. What I forgot to think of on my trip is that my antibiotic supply for a recent spider bite was nearly exhausted. I had one more refill on this script but it was called in to a Walgreens near my home in NY and it was a Sunday. I decided to visit the Beverly store first thing Monday morning to see if there was any way I could transfer my reservation there or have my Doctor call them. I was greeted by a female pharmacist who listened to my shortened version of my dilemma and she quickly said "no problem let me see what I can do". She found me in the Walgreens system and was able to transfer my order to Beverly. Next challenge was to make sure NY insurance would cover it. She asked me to give her 10 minutes so I did a quick shopping spree around the store. I returned in what was probably 8 minutes and she had my order filled and fully covered by insurance. I know this isn't the most interesting review but the exceptional care and attention I was given was honestly unexpected and refreshing. Great job to this employee and her team.

1 star -- absolutely unacceptable…read more The pharmacy at CVS Pharmacy is a complete mess. My prescription was transferred, and somehow it just vanished. No one can tell me where it is, why it's not filled, or when I'm actually going to get it. I've now been sent between locations being told it's ready, only to show up and hear "we don't have it." Meanwhile, I'm without medication I need, getting worse, and the staff offers zero real answers. One employee (Rita) looked up my prescription and couldn't give any clear information or timeline at all--just confusion and attitude instead of solutions. At this point, it feels like no one knows what they're doing. This isn't a small mistake--this is people's health. Figure out your system, communicate properly, and stop leaving patients stuck chasing their own prescriptions.
