It's nothing like being released from the hospital after 5 days recovering from a three vertebrae fusion surgery in my neck, to have your prescriptions called into the pharmacy near your home and to first have the 5 prescriptions not be ready three hours later when we went to pick them up. Second when they are ready for pickup to find out that 2 of the most important prescriptions were not filled and instead I was given a $90 Narcan Nasal Spray (for drug overdoses) that even though it is because of the pharmacist incompetency, I cannot return it because it has left the pharmacy. When I was a retail manager, a mistake like that (first of all was not potentially life threatening) was written off as a damaged item. So it's not okay for CVS Pharmacy on South Coombs Street in Napa to take a loss for their mistake but yet me as the customer is supposed to just eat the loss instead. Never mind that my Mother has to make a 3rd trip to CVS tonight. I'm not financially strapped that $90 is a burden for me but for those patients that are limited on funds, this could potentially be a huge loss. This will be the last time I use CVS on South Coombs Street, Napa, California. read more

Normally when I go there's a really helpful man who is always happy to help out and does his job great!!! Buuuut when he's not there, it is literally incompetent rude, entitled individuals who will just make you pay for your meds out of pocket. I needed these medications today and it said they were ready, turns out they sent them to the wrong cvs out of town and they said I could pay out of pocket and I said no obviously and told them I didn't want to pay a bunch of money and this chick really said "it's only $15" like ok?? $15 to you may not be a lot but it is to others. She also suggested I can drive to the other cvs like nooo!!! Gas is expensive and you're wasting my time when I'm already here?! Also I overheard them talk mad crap about the patients and complaining that it's a Saturday and they shouldn't need to deal with our rudeness. If some of us are being rude it's because of how you're treating us!! They clearly don't understand their jobs and how important medications are to some people. read more

Well maintained store, has everything you need from beauty supplies, pharmacy, photo station, snacks, drinks and kitchen goods. The whole store looks clean and the staff were very friendly, I walked in to but some drinks and take a passport picture that I needed in a hurry and got it in less than 5 minutes. Their staff was very friendly especially the guy who took my picture, very social and friendly man. Only thing different from our other CVS in town is this one isn't open 24 hours their times are from 8am-10pm. It takes a 5 stars I see nothing wrong with this local CVS! read more

If you have other options for a pharmacy I would go elsewhere. I had a prescription filled after surgery at this pharmacy and they filled it incorrectly. It could have been a fatal mistake resulting a tragedy (a stroke), thankfully that didn't happen. It wasn't a confusing prescription, so there is no rationale for the error, it just was human error. They have lost my confidence. The regular store is fine though. read more

The is a guy I think his name is Mark. He has been there for along time. He is not a pharmacist just a tech or assistant helper. He is amazing. So helpful! He saved me hundreds of dollars by encouraging me to look for a coupon on a prescription that was not covered by my insurance. He always remembers me and has a great attitude. This pharmacy is slammed 95% of the time for this guy to always have a good attitude he deserves a raise! Just saying. Not an employee you would want to loose! read more

Service here has taken a nosedive. What happened to the customer-friendly check out guys? Asian/Filipino women blames YOU in front of all the customers when she doesn't know how to enter coupons. Love this pharmacy- Greg is the sweetest and my son (who can be painfully shy) adores him. The whole staff has always been nice and helpful, even on a day when I had to come in with sick child in tow asking about what I can get for them - they have come out from behind the counter to walk over to the isles and fill me in on what would be best. Yes they are pricier than my usual Target run but I trust their judgement and they make my kids smile- that to me is priceless. read more

Clean, friendly staff, and cheap. That is exactly the way to explain this CVS. Just like basically any other except for the fact that I highlight the cleanliness of the store. They have a full pharmacy that usually have prescriptions ready in an hour at most, and a very convenient drive-thru window at the pharmacy. read more

Ashley in the pharmacy is awesome! I was dreading having to go in to any pharmacy to have to deal with my early prescription that my doctor warned me about. But Ashley was quick and took care of everything fast. She saw that my doctor okayed the early refill and then filled it within 5 minutes. I won't go anywhere else. This is for the WORST pharmacy! I will no longer continue going somewhere for convenience. Every time I've been here (bout 4-5 times) they have managed to get things wrong, "receive no prescription" and couldn't get my insurance to go through on several occasions. I'd been on the phone with them for over a week, with them telling me that they've been calling my insurance and telling me they can't find me. Excuse me for saying this, but that's bulls***. I had to call my insurance company 3 times in which each time, they found me and told me that the pharmacy is doing something wrong. One number was wrong on my ID. I didn't even have my ID number when I called Aetna and they could still find me! Not to mention the times they've told me they can't find my rx, I've watched my doctor send them from his computer right in front of me. I've had one pharmacist tell me my prescription wasn't there and then another tell me it was there days later and that it's been on hold since the day my doctor sent it. I've seen this happen to other customers as well. They also don't call back when they say they will. (1 out of 6 times) They also tell you an hour when they mean whenever they feel like it. I am just soo shocked at how incompetent and terrible their customer service is. I get antibiotics an bc! What is so difficult about that?! read more

This is one of the slowest pharmacies I have ever used. I don't know what the problem is. They usually have 3-4 people working, but there always seems to be a line of 4 people that takes over 30 minutes to wait through. Same thing if you call in a script. On hold with super annoying music for 15 minutes. Don't know how long it takes to actually get through because either phone runs out of power while waiting or frustration from waiting compels hanging up. read more

I'm a regular customer at the CVS on Coombs. I was disappointed that the CVS on Coombs does not carry Napa Valley postcards, but the one on Trancas near Nob Hill does. Would be nice to have postcards available, rather than driving across town to buy them. read more
