Van life means you don't have a permanent address so if you need Amazon, you get it delivered to a pickup nearby. The store is clean and tidy. It is well lit and the parking area had no trash. I love this Rite Aide except they just changed their hours and are closing EARLIER??? Especially in the summer hours. It's absolutely crazy. Not only that, but I'm on the mailing list get so many emails and text messages and never heard that they were doing this I was out of my medication came in an hour before normal closing, and Pharmacy was closed. Hours were still noted the same as I was waiting in the drive-through and couldn't see in the window in my tiny car, (which was actually funny) until I went inside. Rite aid gets a one star, but Jerry one of their pharmacists gets a ten star! Had a little problem with this rite aid again today. A lot of confusion as to the prescription that was called in by my doctor's office, I was told three times that it was not in the system and yet it was. Finally out of frustration after being there three times today looking for my prescription and being told it wasn't there I called and spoke with a pharmacist named Jerry. He explained to me what had happened and why all the confusion and went out of his way to be kind by offering his sincere help. I wish there were more Jerry's in this world. read more

This review is for the pharmacist at rite aid who understood our needs and was incredibly helpful and kind. We lost medication during our trip and the pharmacist worked with us and our doctor to ensure we received the proper assistance. The pharmacy at cvs had previously made it clear to us that our problems were not THEIR problems and we were devastated. Lost our luggage, lost medicine and walked into rite aid for assistance and the pharmacist offered guidance and got in contact with our doctor office back at home. The pharmacist at this Rite aid is truly a caring and extremely helpful individual. I had lost some medicine during a trip and could not reach my doctor, didn't have an active prescription and he even helped me find a VA pharmacy (which couldn't help me), I ended up having to come back to rite aid and reached my Doctor. The pharmacist was incredibly helpful and kind, truly a remarkable experience after having gone to cvs and felt I was treated poorly. The employees in the pharmacy had no interest in helping me to get a Covid Booster because I did not have an appointment. The website states walk ins are welcome and I walked over assuming there was no issue getting one. They told me I needed an appointment and to make one. I attempted to make one on my cell, reception was non existent and when I asked if they had a wifi code I was told to go up front or outside for reception. After trying for an hour, the site was non responsive. I told them there was no reception, the site was stuck I was told "we hear that a lot and sometimes it works". After I told them that I walked, have no car and why would they not give me a booster (there was no one else around and the store was not busy), and I received my previous shot there, they finally decided to give me one. The pharmacy employees need classes in Customer Service. When I asked the fromt desk person if he could help me make an appointment he said "I'm not a pharmacist, go see them in the back". Nice new re-opening in the new location. Much larger store with more selections. New ice cream counter is great. If they would just open that wallet and spring for a Food Handler's class for the staff. Older woman (greyish hair) was called to help the line of people. She comes over from the back and goes to the sink and runs her fingertips under the faucet for 2 seconds and dries with a paper towel. Huh? No soap?! First guy hands her cash from his dirty work clothes pockets and she moves on to the next customer without washing her hands. She sticks her dirty hand into the tub of ice cream to scoop. At that point, I left the line. At that age, if you don't know any better... Gonna miss that ice cream. read more

I had surgery to remove a basal cell spot on my nose yesterday. I went to get bandages and ointment. First off, I didn't know Rite Aid had relocated. A beautiful new building across the parking lot from the old business. I went to the pharmacist and asked him which products he would recommend as I have to change the dressing twice a day. I wish I would have gotten his name. He directed me to the isle and kindly proceeded to point out his suggestions. Ok, so I wanted to add another experience I had here just yesterday. My Mom is getting a bit older and starting to fall alot. Well, a couple falls ago, she broke her ass. I needed to get her some kind of cushion so that she would sit at the dinner table more. She isnt eating very much and i thought perhaps more time at the table would equate to more eating. Anyhow, the cushion didnt work. I couldnt return it in Sonoma where i bought it so i brought it to Napa. I pick up my wifes cocktails there and by cocktails i mean pills. The nice young lady at the counter, going by store policy, could only refund me sale price being as i didnt have a reciept. I didnt really care to take a 15 dollar loss when i just bought it 2 days ago and asked to speak with a manager. As far as customer service goes, i wont settle for anything but the best and i have no problem telling anyone that. He comes out and says, "Whats up". I turned around and said, "Whats up" in a combative voice. Let me tell you, I was a jerk. This guy and i feel so bad because i dont remember his name off the top of my head but he brought me back to the days where customer was KING. He explained to me that the young lady at the front was just doing their job which i agree with 100%. He, without hesitation, gave me my full refund, and then started a cool, casual conversation with me about retail. I have some retail experience myself so we chit chatted for a moment. This manager at the store is something special. Really something special. I dont like to shop but something tells me im going to be spending my money here a lot more frequently. One person is all it takes to make a bad situation worse, but it also only takes one person to make a bad situation better and this man nailed it right on the head. This is the worst pharmacy in Napa, but it is the closest to my house so I go there. I drop around $400/month on prescriptions for myself and some family members. I also did much of my Christmas shopping(gift cards/holiday cards) there etc. I was just there after working out and tried to buy a pack of nicotine gum because I am trying hard to quit. They asked for my ID. I shop there all the time, get my prescriptions there, am in there about once a week. I had just worked out and Planet Fitness and left my wallet at home. I use Apple Pay for everything these days. If they took the time to know their neighbors and their customers, they would know my age. They would also know that I buy nicotine gum there once a week. I am 38 years old. The manager said he was sorry but if I look under 65 they card people. So much for using logic and deduction to assess fitness, building relationships with customers etc. They must hire absolute morons and not trust them if their policy is 65. I am so tired of being loyal to places that treat me like a statistic. I understand that underage smoking is a big deal. But I wasn't trying to buy cigarettes. Nicotine gum is for people who are trying to quit smoking. I am done with Rite Aid. CVS is right across the street and I went there after. They asked for my birthdate. Typed it in. The cashier there was smarter and their manager actually treated me like they knew who I was. read more

In these times of poor quality phone connections (from cell companies using trading compression for quality to boost revenue), you'd think people who must communicate precisely over the phone would know what the phonetic alphabet is. Anyone who has been in the armed forces or studied piloting knows it. It is simply a list of words that are commonly known for which the first character is also known. No word sounds like another so it is easy to rattle off exact spelling without mistakes. The person working at Rite Aid that took my call to transfer a prescription couldn't understand anything I was telling her, so I began spelling everything out with the standard phonetic words. The second time, she yelled at me to "stop doing that." You'd think they could handle this common spelling method in a trade where intelligent people are supposed to be hired to preclude deadly mistakes in prescriptions. Not so. What works for air traffic controllers to keep people alive is lost on just about everyone in commercial trade using a phone. But I've never had anyone so obtuse about it. I don't expect people who don't know the phonetic alphabet to know the words enough to sue them, but any idiot can easily comprehend how it works when the words are used to convey letters to them. These people at Rite Aid are apparently not even smart enough to rise to the idiot level. read more

I find this store rude and in helpful. The clerks place personal conversations at a priority over ringing up paying guests. Sign promotes item for two for six or one for 3.49. When rung up clerk charges me a different amount. I question it. She says you must buy two. I say but the sign indicates you can buy one for single price. She told me I do not need to shop there. Extremely friendly staff in the pharmacy and the store manager is very nice as well. They sell ice cream by the scoop and also have a very large selection of beer and wine in addition to the normal things you'd find in a drug store. read more
