You certainly can find the things on the shelves, other than the gift paper, which are too highly priced, even on their sale prices (usually buy one get one 50% off--which requires buying two, but that equates to 25% off per item). As an aside, there is one lady in the pharmacy that is handling my refills, etc. However, the prices were just getting up there, and not due to my wants, but just my needs, so I have moved all of my prescriptions to another pharmacy which is not really close to my Johns Island home.

It's almost impossible to make a left turn onto Main Rd. Most of the traffic woes are due to the terrible intersection design, but by the time I drive and park at Walgreens, I realize I could've saved time going to another pharmacy. Still, if you plan your drive just right, the store itself isn't bad and will meet your needs.

I can't even get my prescriptions filled at Walgreen's anymore due to my insurance and I still shop at Walgreen's way more than CVS. Why do I go there? The biggest reason, honestly, is for their cigarette prices. They have cheaper cigarettes than most gas stations around town and way cheaper cigarettes than other pharmacies. I don't condone smoking.... but if you already smoke maybe you should check it out. They also have good deals all the time. This time I was in search for Gatorade since I just came back from the beach. They had a 2/$3 deal going on. They always have deals on everything I buy from there. Even the cigarettes! They have $.50 off packs regularly. I use the app and score major Walgreen's points and great coupons. Those Walgreen's points are worth real money at Walgreen's! The only thing that sucks is you don't earn and cannot redeem points for tobacco purchases, as well as a few other things like alcohol or dairy. Walgreen's staff is also usually way better than a lot of other places. They train their staff well. Props to Walgreen's management. I used to get my prescriptions filled at this pharmacy a couple of years ago. I loved the pharmacy staff! They were always so nice and remembered my name and could pull me up in the system without me saying a word. They are an excellent pharmacy staff, and the pharmacy is open 24/7 along with the rest of the store! I have so many good memories at this Walgreen's. Will I return? Time and time again. We showed up at the counter to purchase several items with her card. Every single item was labeled as OTC. When the cashier scanned everything the card would only pay for half of the products. I wish I would have taken note of the employees name because she showed up to help. She took her time with us and scanned the items in groups to try and figure out which ones the card would pay for. She went above and beyond her job and did it with a great attitude. We went to a CVS yesterday and had the same trouble but that employee was not willing to help with the situation. She looked like she didn't even want to check us out.

It is also a great stop for those from out of town heading to Folly Beach. The buy one get one free specials and Club Publix electronic coupons can save you a lot of money. If you're not already in Club Publix rewards, you can enroll with your phone number. However, you do not need to be a member or "have a card" to get the sale prices here. Publix shares its parking lot with quite a few businesses, so at times you may need to park further away and walk.

KJ's Market is the low end subsidiary of Lowes Foods. With this location on Johns Island where unfortunately there is only a Food Lion, and at this large intersection with loads of traffic both local and right on the road toward Kiawah and Seabrook Island, and you can imagine the reason for the intense upgrading.
