Asked about timiflu because I'm currently sick with the flu. When the woman working the phone at 6:44 answered she was dismissive and rude. She asked me to check my prescription and when I started doing so she hung up on me. Was sick and just wanted some help. These people don't care and clearly just hire whoever shows up for the interview. I'd stick with cvs or legitimately anywhere else. read more

I'm not a frequent shopper. I find the prices to be a bit high compared to other stores. Because of it's convenient location, I do stop in if I need to grab one or two things. This store is organized and the shelves are always stocked. There are rarely associates on the floor but I never need assistance. The associates at the registers aren't usually friendly or that welcoming. I use the Walgreens app to order pictures. The prints are usually ready for pick up within an hour. The app usually has a 15% to 20% discount on prints, which is a plus. read more

I go to Walgreen's all the time. I can't even get my prescriptions filled there anymore due to my insurance, but I still choose Walgreen's over other drug stores when I'm out to shop or pick up just a couple things. They have great deals throughout the store and on their app. Walgreen's is the place to go for cigarettes. I know that cigarettes aren't really healthy and I don't think anyone should start smoking, but if you already smoke and want to save money, buy your cigarettes from Walgreen's. I also come here for their essential oil collection. They have a wide variety of different 100% pure essential oils and blends to choose from, as well as plenty of different carrier oils to buy. My friend even bought a really nice ultrasonic diffuser from Walgreen's that doesn't use any heat to diffuse the scent into your home. Candy is a must when you come to Walgreen's. They have a whole aisle dedicated to candy and then another aisle dedicated to holidays which usually also has candy. You can always find candy on good sales or even with the bright orange clearance tags to save extra money! Overall, I love Walgreen's. I would choose Walgreen's over any other drug store any day of the week. Also, the service at this Walgreen's in particular has only gotten better since I first started coming to it. The amazing pharmacy staff REALLY came to the rescue today. I was in the bad beginnings of an infection and had to have a dose of an antibiotic before I got on a plane as I was leaving to head out of town. Even though they were so busy as it was (I know that are area has a lot of flu) , the whole staff pharmacy staff worked hard to rush though my order or I would be late for my flight. I am so grateful to the whole team back there- two pharmacists and friendly helpful staff at the counter. They were super kind and amazing even though I was a tall Monday morning order. I wanted to take a second and write about my experience at this Walgreens. My mom has an HSA card and the rules and products you can get are always changing. We showed up at the counter to purchase several items with her card. Every single item was labeled as OTC. When the cashier scanned everything the card would only pay for half of the products. I wish I would have taken note of the employees name because she showed up to help. She took her time with us and scanned the items in groups to try and figure out which ones the card would pay for. She went above and beyond her job and did it with a great attitude. We went to a CVS yesterday and had the same trouble but that employee was not willing to help with the situation. She looked like she didn't even want to check us out. read more

I have never had any complaints about this location. Their pharmacy is incredibly helpful with any questions you may have, the store staff is knowledgeable on location of items in the store and any sales going on and the store is well organized/cleaned. It is a solid location to get in/out of easily (with two options). I would recommend this location if you need to swing by a Walgreen's. read more

I use this pharmacy regularly and typically have a good experience. I lost my insurance recently and they were able to hook me up with a coupon to cut down the out of pocket costs for the medication, which I really appreciated. The only thing that cuts down a star is the wait time-both inside and the drive thru are always very busy. The employees are usually all working hard, so maybe they just need more staff. The store itself is exactly what you would expect from a Walgreens- convenient with a decent selection of food, toiletries, and medical items with a little bit of a high price point. The store is usually clean and well stocked with polite and helpful employees. read more

The Walgreens on Ashley River Road in West Ashley is a great place to find all of the essential needs. It is very convenient and easy to get to from two major roads and just about anywhere in West Ashley if you need to get some items on your list in a hurry. The store always seems to be well run and organized as everything is easy to find and get to. The staff here is also very accommodating and cool as they can help you while shopping and the checkout line moves very efficiently when you are ready to purchase your items. I have had a positive experience every time that I have shopped here and it is good to know that this location is here when you are in need of that one items that will save the day. read more

Why are the Walgreen's pharmacy employees so extremely rude at this location? They regularly are out of my child's medication (7 of the last 10 months). That's fine (not really), but the pharmacy staff is extremely rude on a regular basis. It's my fault for being a slacker and not moving the family scripts to CVS or Harris Teeter. The clerks at the front of the store are ALWAYS extremely friendly helpful and useful. The pharmacy dept employees are the only ones that are regularly rude. I come here mostly for the Pharmacy, and I am very impressed with the staff behind the counter. The pharmacist remembered me from a previous visit without pulling up my information and actually made small talk pertaining specifically to my last visit. Not very often has this happened where I moved from, and it's nice to see every once in a while. Pretty much everything else you need is in stock and located where you can reach it. OMGosshh, they are wonderful. I'm new to Charleston. I dropped some of my blood pressure medication from the state I just came from (had them refilled the day before I left). I ran low because I dropped my bottle. I contacted the Walgreens. The young lady who answered was very nice. I told her my situation and she requested my information as I used Walgreens where I came from. She asked a few questions and said you prescription is expired, but what I'll do is submit the refill. She stated I needed to call my previous doctors office to let them know. Just like that, 5 minutes at the most and I am one satisfied customer. I was in the store last week and was told I could make copies of my pictures that I own and have a cd with that all I had to do was sign a release in the store and I was good! I did this. I realized I shorted myself 2 pictures and went in the store today. This lady, that I described above said rudely and loudly for ALL to hear ". I'm not losing my job, I can't!" I'm strictly giving one star and that's because of the actual store. The pharmacy is a completely different category. The pharmacist are hired to a number of different jobs within the pharmacy. judgment isn't one of them. Judgment that leads to them suddenly making it that much harder for me to fill a prescription I've been on for over 20 years for a very common disorder. I understand the Admiral problem. Certainly not like an opioid epidemic but I understand it's overly prescribed. However the pharmacist at this location is beyond unprofessional. She felt the need not only too loudly discuss my medication history in a line that was for checkout and had two other customers behind me as opposed to pulling inside to the consultation window but her overall feeling of the medication, my race, age and gender and being with my daughter, I felt very apparent. I 100% understand maintaining professionalism and your promise to an ethics board or to maintain license standards. I do not however understand this woman and where she felt she had any right. And this is not the first time in this area I have come across this through Walgreens.
