While I was traveling, my wife attempted to pick up my prescription on my behalf. I personally spoke with three different pharmacy employees from an airplane trying to determine where my medication was. I was repeatedly told the prescription was still at my health clinic. That was wrong. My health clinic confirmed the prescription had been sent back to the pharmacy hours earlier. Despite that, the pharmacy still claimed not to have it, and my wife was unable to pick it up. This reflects a serious breakdown in communication, prescription tracking, and basic pharmacy procedure. Had this been insulin, seizure medication, heart medication, or another time-sensitive medication, the consequences could have been far more serious. South Carolina law requires pharmacies to maintain proper prescription records and dispensing documentation. In my case, the pharmacy could not accurately account for the status or location of my prescription and repeatedly gave incorrect information. Patients deserve accurate information, competent service, and confidence that their medication can be located when needed. Based on this experience, I have completely lost confidence in Sweetgrass Pharmacy and will be transferring my prescriptions elsewhere.

She supposedly called MUSC pediatrics in Mount Pleasant and said despite two people confirming it was sent to Walgreens it somehow got sent to sweet grass Pharmacy on 1952 Long Grove Dr.. at that point I said I'd pick a prescription up. I drove around for five minutes. I could not find a pharmacy at that address. I then parked at Musc pediatrics parking lot and walked around in the rain and could not find it. I then called sweet grass. They told me they'd moved. I got the directions and drove up the street past the restaurant, basil. When I got there I heard the voice. I talked to on the telephone and they started take care of me when I asked them when they moved. They said four years ago I told them I looked it up on yelp and this is the address I got and I've been driving around all that time once I heard the word yelp they seem to be friendlier. Everything essentially went well. They had a problem with the prescription I had to pay cash for it, but thank God it was generic I I can't believe then four years. I'm the only one that got the wrong directions from Yelp that was the only downside of the entire experience.

It is a regular as well as a compounding pharmacy, the latter when you need to have some prescription formulated which is not readily available in pill or other form. I cannot have an idea of the selection available as the compounding side certainly might seem to increase the availability and selection of medications. Also, interestingly enough, they have veterinary medications also available, plus a bit of dog and cat toys near the counter for you to look through if you have a minute or so to look them over. Also at the counter are gummies, with a good selection of CBD sleep gummies. You enter into a bright airy store where it is open all the way from the counter to the back wall. With that openness, you view all of the employees hard at work, and some scurrying about. Unusual to say the least but it brightens your day in seeing the difference from your chain pharmacies.The counter has the consulting, dropping off a prescription, and pick up stations, where you are quickly and efficiently served. Guerin's Pharmacy is a historic pharmacy that opened in Summerville, South Carolina in 1871. It is…read morethe oldest pharmacy in South Carolina as well as the oldest continuously-operating business in Summerville. It was founded by Dr. Henry Charles Guerin. The roots of the pharmacy go back decades earlier. Dr. C.F. Schwettmann owned a drugstore in Charleston, but it was damaged by cannon fire during the Civil War. He set up a new drugstore in Summerville in 1864. In 1871, Guerin (a former Confederate soldier and graduate of the Medical College of South Carolina) purchased the pharmacy and Schwettmann returned to Charleston. After Guerin passed away, the pharmacy was taken over by his son Dr. Joseph C. Guerin. The younger Guerin's colleague Dr. Herbert F. Dunning later purchased the pharmacy. Since 2014, the owner of Guerin's Pharmacy has been Dunning's grand niece Barbara A. Dunning, RPh. My family and I visited Guerin's Pharmacy this past summer while we were visiting family in town. Our cousins told us to check out a really cool old pharmacy in Hutchinson Square. We had no idea that pharmacies like this still existed; we had only seen ones like this in the movies. In addition to a pharmacy, Guerin's also essentially doubles as a general store where customers can purchase souvenirs, postcards, books, t-shirts, etc. Guerin's is also home to a soda fountain, which were popular in drugstores during the first half of the 20th century but rarely seen today. Customers can get Blue Bell brand ice cream, milkshakes, malts, floats, fountain sodas, hotdogs (with or without chili), pickles, or a number of different treats from the candy counter. My wife and I shared a cup of "Mint Chocolate Chip" ice cream while our sons shared a cup of "Cookies 'n Cream". My wife also enjoyed a strawberry milkshake while I had a bottle of Cheerwine. It was so cool to step back in time at Guerin's Pharmacy! We'll definitely visit again on a future trip to Summerville.

The staff truly goes above and beyond and always knows my name, which makes every visit a positive one. My prescriptions are consistently ready on time, which makes managing my schedule so much easier. The interior is lovely and they have unique items for sale. The pharmacy is a short walk down the main hallway on the left, and they give the vaccines on the right- in a small office across the main hallway from the pharmacy- there is a sign and you can't miss it. If you make a reservation you will probably be more likely to get prompt service but you don't HAVE to make an appointment. So easy! The pharmacy itself is very full service- they will even mail you your medicines. But, of all of MUSC's pharmacies, I think this one is the busiest (and so least peaceful). But, COVID vaccine!

I was greeted by an associate shortly after walking in. A few minutes later, I was asked if I needed help by another associate. They are on point! It's always the worst having to search around a store for assistance. I browsed around, taking in all the newness. Bath & Body Works sits at the front and White Barn takes up the back half of the store. The displays on both sides are modern. They definitely draw the customer in to take a closer look at what they have to offer. Three registers were open when I checked out so I didn't have to wait forever. I like how the associates confirm your email address at the end of every transaction.
