I had a 25% off coupon that I wanted to use. I bought 2 items and the cashier deducted 25% off the cheapest item worth $2.57 so that only took 0.65 cents off. At other stores where I've used coupons, like Bed Bath and Beyond for example, the cashiers always make sure to use the single-item coupon on the most expensive item you're purchasing. That means bigger savings so happier customers. Needless to say, at least they care about their customers and want them to save some money. The cashier here was the laziest and most incompetent human being - and the dumbest one too. Of all the items he could pick, he picked the $2 one. That only goes to show he doesn't give a damn. And just to clarify, both items were not on sale so he could've used the coupon on the more expensive one worth $6.29 instead of the $2.57. The only reason I ever come to this specific location is usually just to buy snacks or gift-wrapping things our party can't find at Daiso. I don't need to use it as a pharmacy. The benefit of this location is that they have automated self checkouts so one doesn't have to interact with the staff. I can just go in, get my snacks, and get out without having to talk to a single person. During this visit, though, one of the self-checkouts was not reset with a check still on it and no staff member bothered to reset it, so it went slowly since someone ahead of me wanted to use it. Additionally, there was some degree of disorganization about if there is a line or not for it since there is no clear and visible line for using a live person or this device. Despite this, the self-checkout functions properly and it gives one the discount prices if one doesn't enter their phone number for their frequent flyer card properly. (If both had not been reset, I would have rated lower.) However, also outside of this location, there are consistently high-end beggars. I was age and weight discriminated against at this location, yesterday. I was in the middle of a camp physical for BSA summer camp. The form has both regular camp and high adventure camp on the same form with height weight requirements for high adventure camp ONLY. I don't meet the high adventure requirements. This concerned the nurse practitioner. But, I made it clear to the nurse practitioner multiple times that it was only for high adventure camp, which I am not attending (it even says so on the form). She made a call to CVS corporate and together, they decided she could not CONTINUE my physical. My vision, height, weight, and temperature had already been taken. I asked multiple times, "You do offer camp physicals"? To which she responded yes. But she could not do mine. They were very careful to just say sorry and not give a reason why. But it was blatant discrimination. I'm telling all my friends what they did and that maybe CVS isn't the place to do business. read more

Had a terrible experience at this cvs location. Not sure if it was because they were disorganized or what, but I simply went in to pick up my free covid at-home tests from the pharmacy. My last experience at another cvs location that took less than 4minutes, even while they were busy. But ai kid you not, this whole ordeal took over 45minutes, with the pharmacist having a bad attitude, and it definitely was not a well-oiled run place. While having signs saying it was required to wear masks, the pharmacist herself was not masked. Again, if you can go to another cvs location, do it. Otherwise, you will be spending over an hour to just pick up free covid tests that should literally be just a pick up, sign out, approval, and bagging process. I have empathy for any workers that are short staffed and all, but not giving clear direction and having an attitude to all customers should be a must no matter what. I should have read the reviews before coming here because this truly is the WORST CVS location I've ever been to. I came here about 4 weeks ago. I had abdominal surgery and just had my sutures taken out. My doctor suggested that I use Scar Away silicon gel strips, so I went to CVS to look for them. Due to my recent surgery, it was extremely painful to walk, so after shuffling through a couple of aisles, I decided to ask for help. I asked the first associate I saw. A lot of the other reviewers mention a RUDE MIDDLE EASTERN WOMAN and I think I was one of the unlucky ones to have had her help me. So I told this lady what I was looking for and she said she knew. She said she would show me but I needed to follow her while she put stuff away first. Are you kidding me? I can barely walk and you want me to follow you?!? But she had already started walking away so I did my best to catch up. She didn't care or at least didn't take notice that I was having difficulties. She continued to weave in and out of the aisles, putting stuff away. She got to the aisle that the Scar Away was supposedly stocked, noticed I was pretty far behind, and instead of waiting for me to get there and making sure it was what I wanted, she yelled over & pointed at the section, then walked away. Wtf? So I finally reached the area she was pointing at, which is near the front of the store (I originally was at the back of the store, at the aisles near the pharmacy). The only thing there was Maderma scar cream. That's not the same thing!!! I specifically asked for help to find Scar Away silicon gel strips so if she didn't know, she should have said she didn't know. That way I could have asked the pharmacy for help while I was at the back of the store. By this time this stupid lady was no where in sight and I didn't see any other associates either. So I shuffled my way to the back of the store, and asked one of the pharmacy techs. She wasn't the nicest either...she gave me a look like I was bothering her, but at least she pointed me in the right direction. I will not be coming to this location anymore and suggest to anyone reading this that you STAY AWAY FROM THIS CVS LOCATION. There are other locations in Irvine or even Walgreens or Target are options. read more

What kind of store forces students to leave purses and backpacks at the front store?! I understand high schoolers tend to steal various items during lunch time but I believe in having employees (without being obvious) watch the aisles. It's unacceptable to request students to leave belongings outside the store or in the front of the store! I remember being asked to leave my stuff at the front back when I was a high schooler and I made it clear I was NOT going to steal. For whatever reason, I gave my two dollars for a bag of hot fries when I should have taken my money somewhere else. I encourage students to put your money into another store or restaurant in the area. I do not like CVS nor their managers or employees. The pharmacist is rude and no matter what you ask she only recommends CVS brand. I had to wait 40 min for her to come put of the bathroom!

I've come to this pharmacy several times and it seems that each time there is a long wait, the time given for your meds to be ready is always at least 10 minutes more than what they said. If they Dr. sends your prescription down to the pharmacy you would think it would be ready but no it is not. You let them know you are there for your medication and basically they put you at the back of the line, so the same as if you were to take your prescription on hand. This really irritated me. A woman put in her prescription just as I did. She then leaves to walk about the store. I get in line after waiting 30 minutes, though they had told me it would be 15 minutes. But again I see there are people waiting in a line so I put myself at the back of it. The lady that was ahead of me who is walking through the store, ignores the line and walks right up to the counter. And the pharmacist lets her know she will help her next. There is a line for a reason. We are all waiting for medication. The pharmacist attends to her and not me who was next in line and asks for me to wait while she tends to this lady, who is elderly. I confronted the pharmacist after the lady received her meds. I stated that I was not too happy with them allowing that lady to step right in front of everyone. The pharmacist stated she had been waiting for her medication she was just walking around the store. I stated I been sitting here for the medication for my sick daughter and the meds were not ready in 15 minutes so I stepped in line like everyone else. Then she continued to say well she can decide who she will be serving next. Talk about changing pharmacy. I continued to leave the store but had one item to buy. There is a lady there of I believe Indian decent who was especially rude to me and my sick daughter. She stated I shouldn't bring a sick child into the store, it gets others around her sick. She had such an attitude I left my items on the counter and left. Bathrooms: I have been to the store's bathroom which is near its stock room. To get through to go to the bathroom is a hazard and the bathrooms are messy and smelly. For a decent store I would have thought they would have a little more of a tidier bathroom. So I would have to say beware when going in. read more

I never thought I'd write a review of CVS... but my experience at this location was so bad, I'm driven to Yelp. I brought a prescription in to be filled and, for family-emergency reasons, wasn't able to go back and pick it up for a few weeks. When I did return, the kid behind the counter couldn't find my prescription. He looked in the computer and told me I must have gone to the wrong CVS because I wasn't even in their system. I was certain I was at the correct CVS, and he insisted over and over again that I wasn't. I even pulled out my phone and showed him that I had received a call from this CVS on X date telling me my prescription was ready. He had no idea what to make of this. The back and forth continued until I spotted another of the pharmacists - I recognized her as the one to whom I had given my prescription originally. She, mercifully, had a head on her shoulders and the wherewithall to go pull the paper prescriptions from the time period when I dropped mine off. Sure enough, there it was, with a processing sticker on the back showing the date it was filled, etc. The guy was confounded! (That's not what the computer says!, I could hear him thinking.) Only then, about 20 minutes me asserting that I wasn't crazy, and that I was in the right place, did the woman pharmacist tell me that it was CVS's policy to restock prescriptions that aren't picked up within two weeks of being filled. This might have been a nice piece of info for Confounded Guy to have shared with me. If he had just said that from the get-go, I would have been like, "Oh, hey, I didn't know that. Thanks." Either way, it was clearly past that point, and so, obviously, my prescription had been put back on the shelf. However, this in no way explains why CVS had no record of my prescription. Essentially, after causing a big enough stink, the woman pharmacist leaned over the counter and told me that my prescription had been "mishandled." And that someone, obviously, when putting it back on the shelf had deleted the transaction from my records, rather than noting in the system that my medication had been put back on the shelf after I didn't claim it. Naturally, what I suspect happened was that Confounded Guy (aka Johnny Stickyfingers), or one of his equally sticky pharma-buddies, probably pocketed my prescription when I didn't come back for it right away and tried to erase any evidence that I had even brought it in. Either way, I didn't end up with my meds because in the time between when I dropped the prescription off and when I came back, it had expired. And, irrespective of the fact that it was a good prescription at the time I dropped it off and at the time it was reshelved, the pharmacy manger wouldn't fill it. So, I've had to go back to my doc to have another one written. Yay for incompetence. read more

I would like to give 0 stars to them. I've been sick for 4 weeks now continuously and have had to go in for their services several times in the 4 weeks. Extremely RUDE staff. Even the PHARMACIST was rude to me one day when I brought up to her the fact that on a Friday evening my dr office had called in 2 meds for me ( I named them both) and they only dispensed one saying they only received one order. In fact, the nurse that called in the order told me the following Mon that she spoke to the Pharmacist!!!!. No apology was offered by the pharmacist (who by the way responded when I asked to speak to the manager) The lines are long and wait is long. Even when I call a head of time for a refill or a new order from my dr. and am told it will be ready in an hour. I appear in an hour or 2 and it is yet to be filled. I end up waiting another 20 minutes!!! The last 4 weeks has been frustrating. After 15 years of using this CVS pharmacy- I'm moving my business to a Wallgreens. I've had very good service a couple of times in the last 2 weeks when I needed to get my prescriptions after visiting urgent care. I noticed that CVS on culver has anti bacterial gel at their cash registers (clearly labeled "for customers"). I was pleasantly surprised. However, it was only that one trip that it was made available to customers. On 2 other occasions, it was not visible / behind the counter and I had to request for some. THE MANAGEMENT of THIS particular pharmacy on Culver needs to be changed. Clearly they are not customer focused. Without us all of you will not have the business or jobs. The female pharmacist by the name of Tracy is unprofessional, mean, and completely unhelpful. She's unwilling to work with you to figure out issues with insurance even though they have to call them to figure authorization issue especially since it's there end that is usually the problem. In addition, she's very rude and won't even provide solutions. For example, I simply needed to check if a medication was in stock. It wasn't, which was understandable, however, I wanted to know if it was backordered or how long it would take to get there and she wouldn't help. I let her know it's important I get this medication asap and I don't want to have a prescription sent in just to have it transferred somewhere else and have to wait all over again. She wasn't understanding and said this was not her problem. This is not the first time I've had an issue with her, but it was last straw which is why I'm posting this review. read more

This pharmacy and store is run down, outdated, and old. The staff at the register have always been nice but their shelves are barren and the store looks old and empty. The pharmacy is horrible. The staff never seems to know what is going on, never contacts me when there is an issue with my prescription (I don't find out until I show up and then have to fix the issue myself), and the wait is always long. The customer service towards their patients is seriously lacking. CVS needs to step up their game across the board. Other CVS locations seem to be the same. Also, they cannot check in their system if another CVS pharmacy has a medication in stock, instead you have to call around yourself. Also, if you want a prescription transferred they won't do it for you, you have to ask the other pharmacy to call and request it. In my recent experience, other pharmacies don't want to take the time to call and request your prescription, instead they said the normal practice is the other pharmacy sending the prescription over. I just left my doctors office, and called to try to give them a heads up so that my prescription would possibly be ready by the time I arrived. The lady who answered the phone told me I didn't have any prescriptions under my name, and then told me she saw the ones that my doctor just called in... Yeah, that's what I said. She then proceeded to tell me it would be 20 to 30 minutes for her to work on my prescriptions since there's more than one. i went to the Minutes Clinic yesterday. My eyelid was swelling badly and Dr said that I had an infection and then gave me an eyedrop, which the pharmacist said that won't work and I should've given an ointment when I was picking up the eyedrop. So I went back to the Dr and asked her if she could replace it or at least add me an ointment. However her response was fuzzy, and denied me without enough explanation. I understand she was busy with patients so there might be some misunderstanding. However, the reason that I am giving 1 STAR is because that my eyelid is getting more redish after I used the eyedrop for 3 times.... Now clearly I have to see another Dr. read more

I called to follow up on my refill. TRACY from the pharmacy answered my call. I think she is tired because she keeps on interrupting me when I was letting her know the purpose of the call. Even after I told her that she should allow me to finish, she did not even apologize for interrupting the customer. I know she is probably tired so to CVS Pharmacy management, please send your employees home when they are tired. DO NOT force them to complete their shift if they are exhausted. They can make MISTAKES in refilling prescriptions and that can be deadly. read more

I went to this store on 12/2/17. I got my items, went to check out and when Bianca, the cashier, asked for my cvs card info, i gave it to her. However when she verified the name on the account (since there was two names?) I gave her my name and she shook her head and muttered "that's a dumb name." No wonder this CVS can't get a better review.. Had a prescription sent around 7:15pm yesterday from the urgent care but didn't realize this CVS closed at 9pm, so I called the pharmacy around 8:45pm to have them fax the prescription to the store on Alton since it's open 24 hours. They said no problem, done! Got to the CVS on Alton around 9:30 and they said they couldn't find it. Next day (today) went back to this pharmacy to pick up scrip and it's now at the Alton location. Asked to call it back, but they couldn't because their "system was down." What a load of bull! No customer service whatsoever, if anything you've created more hassle for the customer.. Thanks no thanks.. I'll be sure to send my future prescriptions to Rite Aid. read more

When calling the Pharmacy a few times - you get different directions or instructions on what they need to process your prescription. I had severe cough and my primary physician was on vacation, so I tried the minute clinic. It was a complete failure. The nurse practitioner prescribed me 5 medications including a $50 inhaler, an antibiotics, etc. That costs over $130! And my sickness didn't go away, so I had to go see my primary physician after 6 days, and the doctor even said that the antibiotics was wrong, its not effective in the respiratory organs. So I wasted 6 days and $130 by going to the minute clinic. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE TO GO TO THE MINUTE CLINIC. read more

Had to wait almost 30 minutes to drop off a prescription at 2pm. I was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. When I returned to the store at 6pm I found they hadn't even started to fill it, but was told that they would expedite it. After waiting another 20 minutes and asking when it would be available, I was told to get back in line and I could ask again. So I should keep getting in line and asking "is my prescription ready yet?" until it actually is ready? Finally I asked for just the prescription note so I could get it filled elsewhere. By now it was 6:45pm, and the prescription was finally ready. It seems the employees are so used to being understaffed that they've "zoned out" and have no regard for their customers or service. This probably happens every day. Fortunately they can continue being understaffed, since I won't shop there again. Management, this is your fault! read more
