This cvs is very busy but my husband and I went in for our vaccines. His, Covid, mine flu. The pharmacist was so busy but when he came to give us our vaccines he was so nice. Soft spoken and kind. I felt bad for him. He was running back and forth, mixing antibiotics and giving vaccines. Overworked for sure. read more

The pharmacy is awful, almost like there are no counter protocols or anyone in charge. I waited 10-15 minutes and was subsequently referred to another register to update Rx info. Went back to the service line and Eugene took my scrip and without saying anything went back into the pharmacist area and started working. I stood at the register waiting for +/- 10 minutes. Another customer came up and Eugene came forward, went to another register and waited on him. When I asked what was up with my prescription he said that I was waiting . . . ? Overall I spent an hour waiting and despite multiple inquiries was never told when, where, why or how long. When I finally stood to make my presence known there were two folks who I recognized from earlier who had gone home and come back instead of waiting. There were 6 of us standing around grousing about service and lack of communication. I bit my tongue because my wife needed the pills, but next time I will check out the Walgreens that is equidistant to my home. This store is in a retirement area so probably needs professional, capable folks because of what I assume are high volumes in the pharmacy. Uncommunicative, unprofessional and unpleasant. The pharmacist seemed to be cranking away, but at the counter et al was terrible. read more

This place is a joke. The pharmacy needs serious help. We joke about it in our house and with our friends because it is nearly impossible to reach anyone on the phone to check on prescriptions and even if the doctor sends it in they are days behind. I have called three times today and sat on hold for over 20 minutes. When the representative picks up the phone they ask you to hold and don't even wait for a response! They just put you on hold!! What is going on with customer service nowadays?! I just need my medication!! It would be easier and quicker honestly to just go down and walk into the store. I love Walgreens pharmacy and my doctor keeps accidentally sending mine to this circus. I would die before I can get my meds. Steer clear people! read more

I have been coming to this pharmacy for several years and I live in southern highlands. It is well worth the drive because whenever I have come in, my prescriptions are always taken care of without errors and I often have savings cards and insurance. There have been several pharmacists to work in and out here. Currently, Kyle and Debbie are the pharmacists and they are always very attentive in managing prescriptions in a timely manner and will always follow up with prescriptions that require prior-auth's. I recently had an issue between my doctor, insurance and pharmacy communication. Both Debbie and Kyle individually called me following up on the status of my prescription to my surprise. Although sometimes they are short staffed with techs, (what pharmacy does not?) All of their techs are very attentive. Like I said, I have been a customer here for several years, the techs have even called my insurance or companies and have spoken to my insurance for sometimes more than 30 minutes to make sure my problem was immediately fixed. I have been to other CVS pharmacies that would tell me that my insurance doesn't cover this, a different price, etc. I used to fill at another pharmacy because this one was a little out of my way, but because of their great service, I will make the drive because they have always taken care of me. There are a lot of choices in the anthem area to fill your concerns, unhappy customers yelling and impatient, but this staff has proven to me over the years that they all work very hard to make sure I am taken care of. I do not give them 5 stars because there have been times that the store itself will sometimes not have everything I need and it does get busy. They have worked hard to build this once chaotic store that used to take approximately a few hours to a day depending on how busy they are to fill scripts which I would have to drive 25 minutes the next day to get my prescription and they were short staff which effected their efficiency. This community is well developed now which means a higher population of people filling and they have worked hard to work more efficiently and have met the expectations of a good pharmacy. Anyone who has has a bad experience in the past, I would recommend giving them a second chance. read more

This has to be not only the worst CVS pharmacy I've ever been to, but the worst of any pharmacy I've ever been to. The staff has extremely poor communication skills, frequently drop the ball on filling and refilling scripts, and just dry obviously look like they don't give a single f*** about the job they are doing. I wish yelp allowed for negative stars because that's how bad it is. Every single time I've been in, without exception, I have had a negative experience. DONT USE THIS PHARMACY! Three out of three experiences have not only been horrible customer service but they have actually gotten our prescriptions wrong. One time our doctor gave us a prescription for something for our one-year-old and the actual pharmacist handed us medication that was for adults and I had to take it upon myself to research the proper one and then his response was, " oh I didn't know how old your son was." HOW DO YOU NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THAT DETAIL?! They always take far too long to fill prescriptions. Our doctor called in a prescription at 11:45am, my husband called at 4:45pm to make sure it was ready then wasted his time to get there to be told it'll be 30 minutes while they process it. YOU JUST SAID IT WAS READY. Then another time, we turned in a prescription to be filled and after saying, "Ok, give us an hour." I waited an entire hour to be told after OVER an hour of waiting that it'll have to be ordered and it'll be in the next day. I'm switching pharmacies ASAP. I don't care that I'll have to drive further, this place is the worst. read more

We have been going to this pharmacy for twelve years. Something horrible is happening at this location. They have consistently become worse and worse. Prescriptions are either "out of stock" or have not been filled. Heart medication!! Really? These medications are important. Call a week, or days ahead. Call to verify. Promise: "it will be ready." I almost feel bad for the staff. This place has gotten extremely busy and has lost the community feel. It's way too busy. Prescriptions are never filled when promised. It's happened to me 3 times now when I call for a refill over 4 hours in advance, come to pick it up 30 mins after the promised time or later on the way home from work and it's not ready. I've also had a coupon for one of my prescriptions and EVERY time I pick up they charge me full price and I have to explain that there should be a coupon in the system, it takes them 10 mins to review and process and promise it's taken care of for future orders...I've had the issue 4 times now on a monthly refill. Lines are long and they take their time acknowledging you. They need to hire more staff. Quick. I started this review 6 months ago and left it as a draft and forgot about it. Super convenient being right by my house! The store is always cleaned. Never thought different regarding cleanliness and organization. I love the fact that (well now that Haggens closed down right beside this CVS) I can buy whatever I need groceries...etc. No ideal on price vs. a grocery store but that's where sometimes the convenience is worth the extra dollar. This is the worst pharmacy imaginable. Every prescription requires 3 steps. 1. Drop off prescription. 2. Return when they say it will be ready, to find out it's not ready. 3 Return again to pick up. It doesn't matter if they say it will be ready in 30 minutes or tomorrow, it won't be ready. Let me be clear, this isn't a case of sometimes or often times. 99% of the time, your prescription will not be ready. I've been going here for 10 years, it wasn't this bad in the beginning, but the last year has been ridiculous. Time to find a new pharmacy. read more

Upon our recent move here I choose this Pharmacy. I feel terribly sorry for the ones "upfront" at this pharmacy who have no choice but to "play the hand they are dealt" while Billy Covington, the Pharmacist hides behind his counter behind them just letting them take all the crap that stems from his inability to run a good Pharmacy. Yes, I'm being specific. Because I know who is in charge. He actually came to the drive through window once upon request, to explain to us why a medication that had been requested 8 days earlier to be refilled (it was time and refills were on file) was not ready. He said it was the Company's fault and until the New Year and when they "saw" the numbers for this Pharmacy, then that would warrant more help. Whatever. He specifically said "It is not my fault" What does one say to that. We were actually embarrassed for him that he was at the window and saying these things to us. Passing the buck and blaming everyone and thing but no accountability. I can accept "Hey I biffed. I'am so sorry I'll get right on it, can you give me 15" Choose your battles wisely is a favorite of mine and has served me well through the years. On occasion through the holidays there have been a few different Pharmacists and 2 at a time even. This has been WONDERFUL. I have nothing to complain about when thats happened. Things are back to normal now. The line is always at least 3 deep. The phone...hold 20 minutes or more...I have never been treated rudely and always been spoken to very nice. But I choose to see past "its their fault" knowing the "front" people are unfortunately the ones who have to deal with all the crap from the Pharmacists sorry ability to keep his Pharmacy in control. You don't see him at the counter E V E R. I know from a medical standpoint it is the Pharmacists realm. He is "The Man" and the reflection flows from him. It's a horribly run Pharmacy and I believe they only have customers of convenience, those who have no choice because it is so close to home. Also a lot of new ones who will soon go elsewhere when they find out how this one runs. It's the worst Pharmacy I and every customer I've spoken to has ever had to deal with. The customer service at this store seems to be in question often. We usually avoid going to this location simply because of their poor reputation. A few days ago, my husband and I were at a nearby grocery store, so we decided to stop in and pick up the government approved N95 masks. We went to the cashier line/counter and waited right behind another couple that were checking out their purchases. The cashier was extremely friendly toward this couple and we can hear the pleasant exchange between them. Now it was our turn, we notice right away that the cashier's demeanor changed and became quite icy cold and unfriendly. Not sure if it was because the color of our skin? We didn't want to over-think it, so we just proceeded inquiring the masks. She brought out 3 in total and handed them to us. We thought the government announced 3 masks per person, so we asked her. She responded, "No, it's 3 per family." We didn't want to argue, so we left the store. We felt discriminated by this exchange/experience and how this cashier acted toward us, which was sort of racist. She made us feel that we were bagging for some kind of hand-me-downs. Additionally, she made up the rules as she goes along and lacked basic customer service skills with customers that, perhaps, have different ethnicity background. We usually go to the CVS at Anthem Village and has been going there for the last 15 years; we have never had any problems there. Think we will continue to avoid this CVS at the Bicentennial location from now on. read more

Absolutely horribly run pharmacy which has gotten worse since they changed the phone system. I go through the same BS month after month. About three days before I run out of pills, I call them get a message that says the prescription is "processing" or in "working on it" which are both euphemisms meaning they haven't started it yet. Then when I run out of pills and I have to call the pharmacy and talk to a live person. Typically this results in a wait time of at least 15 minutes and forces me to listen to the worst music ever recorded at a super high volume. Finally when I get ahold of the pharmacist or the assistant he tells me they will have it ready in a couple of hours. Translation - if you nag them one more time they might have it ready possibly 15 minutes before closing. I'm really sick and tired of going through the same thing month after month. read more

This is the absolute worst CVS and drugstore I have EVER been to. If you're a person of color or have a hat on or have a tattoo or just one at a time as I did, they are guaranteed to literally FOLLOW you around the whole store and WATCH you as you shop without even trying to hide it. They are absolutely the most racist and judgmental store I have ever been in. Went to ask for Tylenol and the little Caucasian woman sat there and stared at me after I said "i will figure out which one, thank you for the help" then I went to look for candy and she VERY CLEARLY followed me all the way to the other side of the store. I Went to checkout and saw her standing not even 5 feet behind me as I did self checkout since she was too busy watching me to do her REAL job and ring people up. I asked if she had real work she should be doing and she unbelievably said "nope this is my job, to watch your type scan your items" absolutely disgusting!! I've lived in anthem for years and never have witnessed such blatant and disrespectful racism and discrimination. You work at CVS in anthem, treat your customers with the respect we deserve. She deserves to be fired immediately for racial profiling,especially since I was with my Caucasian girlfriend. read more

I went in for an antibiotic ointment in October, 2020. They sold me an ointment that was good until January, 2019.

I used to develop my photographs at this CVS, via the Kodak app. One day, the Kodak app didn't inform me that my first set of prints went through so I resent the prints. When I went to go pick up my photos, a cashier named, Rain, was super rude to me when I explained to her that I didn't want to purchase both sets of the same prints due to the malfunction of the Kodak app. She did not like the fact that I refused to pay for both sets. Needless to say, I have now gone to a different location with friendlier cashiers. Cashiers should not be arguing with customers. read more

When you fill a prescription online and it chooses a time for you to pick up, they never actually fill it until you go in. Their excuse is that the system is acting up or they act as if they don't care. They need a new system and new employees. They don't have compassion when people come in frustrated because they don't feel well and are told that their meds are not ready regardless of being told they were. read more

I have been getting my scripts from this location for years now. I've never had a problem, they are always on top of refill and will even call me to verify. They tech are very friendly too. I have seen a few different pharmacist in here but that has never been an issue for me. I have actually called to speak with the pharmacist a few times and she has always answered my questions and been available. The only thing I wish is that I would remember the close fairly early on the weekend (I think it's Sunday) which is fine, I just forget this sometimes. read more

This isn't my first go around with this CVS! I was short pills a couple of years ago(twice) when I was prescribed them for an infection and I should have reported them to the pharmacy board, then. I needed a prescription and live so close to that store. My doctor sent it at 9:45. The pharmacy said they didn't have it, try a 24 hour store. I drove all the way to the LV Blvd store and was refused because they said the Bicenntennial location FILLED IT! He called the number on the bottle, which was my doctors office, then said he tried to call an old cell number I had? You mean you don't have caller ID? Yeah, right! While the pharmacy says they open at 8am, they opened at 8:05 this morning. It's time for CVS to sell their pharmacies back to Long's Drugs, or Sav-on so we can have customer service, and not some lazy pharmacist that may have to stay 1 minute past 10 to wait on a customer and make money for CVS...heaven forbid! read more

Get your systems updated and make it easier for the customer to check out or thorough training for your staff. Especially when your customer is sick and having to repeat their phone number about 30 times, I had an old number on file, which she was trying to update and sign me up for a new card... I don't want any of this!! I must have repeated both numbers at least 15 times. I just wanted to be rung up and leave. This was 45 min process all together and I was so annoyed, while I'm sick, uncomfortable and freezing in the store! I won't ever fill my prescription there again. read more

Shouldn't even be given one star, customer service was awful. I called Cvs with an issue with an online photo order that wasn't allowing me to pay in store even though I was picking it up in the store, the woman on the phone instructed me to reattempt to make the order and I tried to explain to her that I had already done that and she hung up on me. So I decided to go to the store to get help in person with the pick up in store item that I was trying to order online and the woman told me there was nothing she could do I had to have a credit card for the online order even though in the beginning of the order we selected pay in store, but once we got to check out it wasn't giving me the option to pay in store and then she said she would give me 30% off if I completed the order in the store at the photo kiosk. So I completed my order after having issues with the kiosk not showing all of my photos that I needed to complete the book. So I asked the woman for some help and she looked at me and said there's nothing I can do about it and she walked away from me with a scowl on her face. So then I decided I would make the photo book with other photos I could actually access on the kiosk, when I finished I had ordered (1) 8x10 photo book (1) 5 extra pages. The photo printer printed out all of the pages for the photo book except for 1 page, and it printed 10 duplicate photo pages that I didn't order. The woman was saying it was my fault and she was going to charge me for the extra prints that I didn't order. After waiting an 1 hr and 30 minutes, because the woman was adamant that the missing page would print out but it never did. She then said it wasn't my fault and she wasn't going to charge me for the extra prints since there was no more photo book supplies left. But she charged me for (2) 8x10 photo books at $8.50 plus the $1.99 for the (1) 5 extra pages. But she didn't give me the 30% off that she had promised me in the very beginning. The duplicate pages aren't in a photo book the woman placed them in a folder but I was charged for 2 8x10 photo books, when I am definitely not doing any business with cvs at all ever again I'll continue to go to Walgreens much better customer service than at cvs. read more

This is continually the worst pharmacy I've been to. Unfortunately our insurance forces us to use CVS. The particular pharmacy changes management every 6 months or so. They have screwed up our prescriptions more times than I can count. They've shorted our prescriptions, taken days to fill prescriptions, & continue to screw up insurance info even though we've given it to them multiple times. Every time I go, even when my prescription has already been filled, it's still a 20 minute wait. If you can, save yourself the trouble, & avoid coming here. read more

Horrible service! Avoid at all costs! My doctor submitted an electronic rx on Tuesday afternoon and sent me a text message at 1:15pm to let me know it had been done. I went Wednesday morning and the guy at the window blatantly lied to me and said they didn't get it. He stated that he entered all the orders before he left at 6pm Tuesday but he never got it. I left knowing the time stamp was on the electronic rx and returned several hours later. I waiting in the drive though 10 minutes (one car ahead of me) and no one came to the window. Too sick to go in, I called WALGREENS and asked them to transfer the rx to them to pick up. Both the Walgreens and I called all several time Thursday no answer. By late Friday evening Walgreens still could not reach the cvs. They documented each call and it either rang with no answer or went to voicemail - with no return call. Gave them the benefit of the doubt that the phone system was down. I finally gave in tonight and picked up the rx. I asked the girl at the counter if they had had problems with their phone system. She said, "No, we're just too busy to answer." Too busy to answer, too busy to come to the window, WTF? Thought it would be convenient to use this pharmacy but apparently they are Too Busy to provide decent customer service. Last time I use any CVS ever! read more
