We have been filling our RX for over a decade and have never had a complaint. I can name everyone at the pharmacy and I always get a warm greeting. Also, I have witnessed other customers getting attentive and professional service. I have no idea how anyone can give the pharmacists and staff anything but a four + star review. Rude pharmacy staff and manager. you can never get hold of them. they care more about their break time than taking care of their patients. managers are useless. stay away from this place. when you voice your dissatisfaction, they rudely ask you to leave their store. no wonder CVS is closing so many stores, no one wants to deal with them. read more

The pharmacy here is awful. They told me my son's insurance expired in 2015 (before he was born). I fulfilled several prescriptions at a different CVS location 15 minutes from here just last month, yet the pharmacist insisted his insurance expired in 2015. Very poor customer service. There used to be a nice guy working there I was a few dollars short and he took money out of his tip jar and payed the rest but I think he left and now there is a rude lady me and friends we're looking and then we we're laughing not bothering anyone and she kicked us out , and told us its not a playground even though we didn't do anything bad. read more

I have been trying to fill my children's medication for a year (no exaggeration). I am told it is out of stock at all CVS pharmacies in the area and they have no idea when it will be in. Upon advice of the pharmacy, I switched to mail order. When months went by and it had not arrived, I followed up and was told it is not available via mail order. So back to square one. Unfortunately, out insurance only allows us to use CVS. The medication (Alvesco inhaler) is available at all other pharmacies -Walgreens, etc. that I've checked with. I understand I can have our Dr switch my kids to a different similar medication but it is their preferred med for my kids. Why should we have to change everything up for a common product that is readily available at the other pharmacies? I am so frustrated. read more

I heard that other CVS are helping people getting vaccinated with or without appointments, but I guess not this BUSY SOTRE. Worst Customer Service Ever!!!!! There is constantly an unhappy customer at their counter. Today, (and not for the first time), it's me. I called this morning to see if my prescription was ready. (Because of previous experiences, I hoped thst calling would help me avoid waiting an excessive amount of time.) I was told that my prescription was ready, I came 6 hours later to pick it up & it was not ready. Furthermore, they apparently were out of the full dose of medicine. So after an extended period of time while they looked for it, they finally told me they do not have it. So the person on the phone was incorrect & then they did not call me to tell me they did not have the medicine, even though they received the prescription the day before. I was told they would give me 3 pills & I could come back in a few days to pick up the medicine. So, I waited, again, was finally called & got back in line w 5 people ahead of me. The first time I waited for 3 people & for them to resolve someone elses problem. read more

The customer service is terrible. They never have their information correct, they are rude and unhelpful. They neglected to give me two prescriptions I needed for an illness and only gave me one. I went without the second one until the doctor asked if I had taken both. They are oblivious and bad at their job as well. This has gone on too long. I have lived here for 18 years. I would rate them NEGATIVE stars if yelp would allow negative stars! It's a long-standing joke among most residents of Great Falls, and all of the local doctors, that the CVS pharmacy is the WORST. Mahesh is the head pharmacist, an indian guy. Wow, is he one of the worst people I've ever dealt with! A few days ago, as usual, I received a text message that my prescription was ready. This evening, with four hungry kids in the car, I stopped in very quickly to pick up my prescription, as I had run out of the last pill this morning. After a little bit of their typical disorganization and not being able to find my prescription, Mahesh advised me they had pulled my prescription and returned it to inventory. This infuriated me. I calmly pointed out to him that this pharmacy already has a horrible reputation in Great Falls for exactly this type of incompetence and disorganization. He didn't hesitate to suggest I change pharmacies! No apology. He just didn't care. And he made that crystal clear. Wow. I then pointed out I had received a text message three days earlier saying my prescription was ready. Unbelievably, he lectured me and asked "well, then, why didn't you come in three days ago?" Double wow. This was in front of other customers. This idiot just didn't care. Now this guy knows me and my family. He has even administered flu shots to us. I've actually let him put needles in me! And in the 15 years I have lived in Great Falls, I have never failed to pick up a prescription. Surely their computer would show them that! So why the rush to pull my prescription so it won't be ready for me? I could go on and on. But suffice it to say that I just experienced one of the WORST customer service situations in my life ... from a miserable human being. And Mahesh seems to be the head of the Pharmacy. This is a guy we're supposed to trust in dispensing correct medicines? While not a qualified doctor, shouldn't he have some sort of "bedside manner" conducive to building trust and confidence in our local pharmacy? To some extent, we're supposed to trust our lives to this guy! Hey, executive management at CVS ... if you are reading this, know that we residents in Great Falls aren't stupid. We don't tolerate substandard people like the guy you have mismanaging your pharmacy in Great Falls. And we all talk. We're a close community. Contrast to my first experience with the Safeway pharmacy next door. What a breath of fresh air! And what a nice waiting lounge, and NICE, PROFESSIONAL staff! Thanks for suggesting I check out your competitor, Mahesh. It was great advice! Until Mahesh is long removed from Great Falls, I advise all to steer clear of the Great Falls CVS pharmacy. It is run by an arrogant, uncaring, unprofessional jerk. By the way, I'm not venting anonymously here on yelp. I made my opinion very clear directly to him tonight. I gave him several chances to apologize and resolve the issue. Had he cared, he could have easily offered to pull a bottle off the shelf, and reassemble my prescription within 2-3 short minutes. He had the chance to make me believe he cared. But he clearly didn't care. And he KNEW I had four kids waiting in the car for me. He's a disgrace to his profession. And a definite embarrassment for CVS. If CVS wants to address this, and demonstrate some passion for their customers, they can feel free to reach out to me. I'll be happy to revise my review based on how they handle my complaint. I won't be stopping with yelp. I'll be calling their corporate offices Monday and writing a few letters to their BOD. By the way. Visit the Safeway pharmacy. And pay close attention to the cleanliness and modernness of the physical pharmacy. The staff is clearly better at Safeway. But you will also note a dramatic difference in cleanliness, and apparent sterilization, etc. One is clearly well-run, specifically catering to Great Falls residents. CVS, on the other hand, is run by a guy who doesn't care about how he treats his customers, or how clean he keeps his pharmacy. By the way, it is noteworthy that several similar yelp reviews predate me for the past few years. So this guy has clearly been a problem for quite a while. CVS management needs to wake up. Ah, the power of monopoly. The only drugstore in great falls, you'd do almost anything possible not to go there. My favorite story is of trying to buy candy there for Valentines Day - it was all on sale, but the cashier couldn't scan my cvs card so they refused to give the discount. The pharmacist, a male, was adjusting the screen protector and it fell on her. He was rude, did not apologize. She was confused after the incident and left the scene. I have been living in Great Falls for about 20 years now, and never had a problem with this pharmacy, or any of it staff, and have no desire to move my prescriptions elsewhere. There might have been a few minor glitches over the year, and admittedly the lines can be longer than a person in a hurry would like, but multiple negative comments were a surprise. Specifically, I have always found the staff to be helpful and professional. One of the reasons the lines are long could be that enough local residents share this view. read more

The general shopping is fine and the prices are reasonable. It is what you would expect at any CVS. Unfortunately, so is the service in the pharmacy. The head pharmacist was rude and not helpful. I really like this CVS. Yes, four stars bc the lines are always long and tedious, BUT they've got Steve who is a delight and so helpful and kind and they've got other people there who are super helpful, knowledgeable and always go the extra mile. The pharmacy desperately needs help as there is often a half hour or so line waiting and very high turnover for some reason. Easy to return stuff too with a receipt. read more

I wish I could use less than 1 star. The pharmacist had a screaming fight with me, demanding that I check all of my meds before leaving or he won't accept returns, even when he filled it with the wrong drug. TWICE, these people gave me someone else's medication (can anyone say HIPAA?). My daughter picked up a birth control prescription for a friend, and the pharmacist berated her. This store has the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I gave them the benefit of the doubt when I walked in and heard an irate customer complaining that a prescription wasn't prepared, even though the doctor called it in four hours prior. I was stuck because my doctor sent the prescription to this store, also 6 hours prior. Interestingly, mine wasn't ready either. When I got it, the pharmacy did not notify me that my doctor also prescribed an over the counter medication. My doctor did this so that I could get an RX# and file it with my Health Savings Account. When I went back to the pharmacy, they said they didn't handle OTC's and wouldn't print out a copy of my prescription so I could use it for my HSA. Overall, a horrible experience. From now on, I am sticking with Target or Costco. read more

They gave me the wrong prescription for 2 months while I was pregnant. Very dangerous! After discovering it on the 3rd refill not only were they completely unapologetic, but they actually tried to lie and tell me it was just the wrong dosage until I called my Dr to clarify. Will not go here again. Incompetent!!! read more
