Not sure why this store has any ratings lower than 5 stars. It's brand new, and North Goleta needed a pharmacy (aside from Costco)... bad. This pharmacy and the head Pharmacist Krystal are absolutely wonderful. It's clean, has everything you need and never lines. Everyone with negative comments can go back to Costco and wait 45 mins in line for their prescriptions. read more

Came in a couple days ago and had an open wound which I needed butterfly bandage for full on like needed to get stitches but need to cover the wound temporarily went around looking for these butterfly stitch bandaids couldn't find them then proceeded to go up to a lady named Belinda I asked if she knew an she said they are over there in a rude tone I said i couldn't find them an she seemed visibly annoyed because I asked her to help me mind you I full on had an open wound I needed stiches for that anyone could see when she walked over with me all she did was point aggressively an walk away no manners what's so ever weirdest interaction ever like full on crazy to act that way not like I need something small I never like asking for help and one of the few times I do makes me never want to ask for help again read more

I showed up at 1:15 to pickup a prescription. Sign states closed for lunch daily from 1:30-2:00, but they have a sign on the drive through now stating it's already closed for lunch. This CVS Target pharmacy just feels like a complete crapshoot every time you walk in. Sometimes you get lucky and have a smooth transaction, but most of the time, it's just a mess. You never know if it's going to take five minutes or feel like you're stuck in line forever. To be fair, I've had one or two normal visits where everything went smoothly, but that really shouldn't be the exception. I know a few pharmacists, and retail pharmacy can drain the life out of you. It's not really the staff's fault; it's more about how the corporate structure just wears them down. Sometimes it almost feels like they're purposely making the experience so frustrating that people won't come back. It's a shame because I know the staff is probably doing the best they can with what they've got. Corporate needs to step up and figure out a way to support these workers better so customers don't feel like they're gambling with their time. Until then, it's just not a place I can recommend. read more

Visiting Santa Barbara, called in the Rx, waited over one hour in the line and Rx still was not complete.

This used to be a great store. Could call in and speak with staff to verify a prescription has been received and that you're on your way to pick it up (so they will expedite it). Then show up 15-20 minutes later and pick it up via drive-through window. The drive through window was closed years ago and now you can no longer call to speak with pharmacy staff - you have to leave a voicemail, and they won't check the VM for over an hour. If the staff are on a lunch break, you can't even leave a voicemail. How does that make sense? I came in today to pick up two prescriptions that had been submitted over two hours earlier. One is an antibiotic - something I should start taking ASAP. I verified (using the automated system) that it had been received minutes after the order was placed. It wasn't ready after two hours (no surprise there) so I went in to stand in line and get them to expedite it. I was told 15 minutes and they'd call me. About 20 minutes later, they shuttered the pharmacy to go on lunch break. I was sitting in a chair waiting just 20 steps from the pharmacy. Nobody at the front can help me. The automated system now lists my prescriptions as ready.... and I apparently have to wait an extra half hour for them to reopen. This is a huge waste of time. I miss the days when I could call in to verify they've received the order, then simply drive up to a window 20 minutes later and be on my way. This is such a waste of time. I'm going to explore my options elsewhere. It's now 5 minutes past opening with ZERO sign of life on the other side of the counter. read more

This place is absolutely awful. We were waiting in store for someone to help us and we were looking for someone and decided to set a stopwatch of how long until someone comes out. It hit the 20 min mark and we decided to knock in the back door. There was a male employee who wad upset that wr were beack there and wad told "You should wait out there and not go back here." Fair enough. Unfortunately we waited for AT LEAST 20 MINS. So the best thing for us to do is just keep waiting??? Literally people could've came in and stole things and there wasn't anyone in the store. Management and corporate should be aware of this. This place is the WORST CVS ever! read more

This Pharmacy gave us the wrong prescription. We were given something completely different from what we were prescribed, and when we told them there was an error they refused to consider they made a mistake. The first pharmacist just refused to look at the issue and said it was what we were prescribed. The next day the second pharmacist admitted they gave us the wrong medication. And then waited nearly 4 More hours to fill the right prescription. all the while we did not have (could not take) the medication the doctor prescribed. we are all lucky that no one took the wrong medication on accident!! We went to pick up a prescription from the pharmacy. They ignored the people standing in line. They did not even acknowledge the customers waiting. When asked if the pharmacy was closed, they said they were closed for lunch from 1:30-2:00. These hours are not clearly posted by the pick-up cashier. Instead the hours say 10:00-6:00. When I asked where the hours are posted, they said by the front door. We checked the front door. The hours were not clearly posted. The lunch hours were on the backside of the sign and not clearly visible. The part of the sign that was visible to customers was stating that flu and COVID vaccines are available. I acknowledge that the lunch time is reasonable. However, the signage should be clearly posted. So, customers can plan accordingly. read more

This CVS deserves 1 star for filling the prescription. Zero stars for filling it INCORRECTLY and no response to my two recorded telephone calls. The prescription I received says: Take 1 tablet by mouth TWICE a day for 7 days. Quantity in bottle: 7 According to my calculations 7 x 2 = 14 tablets, not 7. I called them yesterday and left a message. No response. Called them early this morning at 10 a.m. No response. Imagine that! This is not good! read more

CVS is great has a little bit of everything. Except one night when my boyfriend got a burn on his arm from fire we ran over to cvs to get him some cream to help. Since it wasn't too bad of a burn and just needed ointment. They were closing early due to illness which I understand but there were still people in their and we went up to the manager standing by the door and explained how my body got a burn and is in pain all we want is the cream and he wouldn't let us in. He was rude and disregarded us. Absolutely ridiculous! Especially since there were still people shopping in there and they had 10 more minutes till closing!!! read more

As you can tell from my stats, I RARELY write Review Updates (as of today, only a total of 55 have been written). However, when I receive stellar customer service that sticks out from its competition, I am willing to take the time to share my appreciation through a Yelp review. Not to mention, during this unique time in history we are living through, I feel like spreading the positivity to others is even more essential. Since changing jobs, and with that changing health insurance companies multiple times, I have bounced back and forth with different coverages. While I am thankfully young and healthy, I have had asthma since I was a child and inhalers are hella expensive! Between using my health insurance prescription "discount", joining pharmaceutical savings programs, and using an GoodRX card, I often still cannot afford my inhaler! *shakes fist at big business pharmaceutical companies!!* Krystal Yeung the Pharmacy Manager at this Goleta CVS location is absolutely fantastic!! Unlike all the other pharmacies in the Santa Barbara area, she goes out of her way to help her customers. When I go to pick up my prescription, if it is over $100 she will make sure I am aware of this instead of just checking me out. Krystal has reached out to my primary care provider on multiple occasions to see if I can be switched to a similar acting inhaler or medication that is more affordable. I imagine Krystal is swamped with all the customers she helps to fill prescriptions and such, but she makes me feel as if I matter. Given the current situation of COVID-19, I am truly appreciative that she is on the other side of the counter and have sent comments to the CVS Headquarters to acknowledge her wonderful work and customer service! read more

They no longer have people answering the phones. You have to leave a message and they NEVER call you back! You can't find out information about your own prescriptions because they will not answer the phones. Seriously considering moving to Safeway pharmacy, or another pharmacy. read more

I don't know if it's THIS location that is problematic or some company-wide malaise. I have lived in Goleta for over 4 years and this is my closest pharmacy so I have little choice but to use this one. Today, I sat in line at the drive-through--it was not closed for lunch as the hours indicate and there was no sign posted stating that they weren't filling drive-through orders. Even though I was recovering from a stroke and had waited a few days to get this trailing perspiration, I drove to the front and went into the store where I was greeted with a line of 10 people--at least--awaiting prescriptions. This is a disgraceful and nob communicative way to deal with customers. The endless loop of press 1 and getting no information was of no use either. The pharmacy is going to lunch and I still don't have my perceptions. Maybe we will get a competitor in the area. read more

If you need a pharmacy, I would definitely avoid this place. There are many things about this pharmacy that are really off. It's really just the customer service and employees who refuse to listen or pay attention to what you are saying. They all seem very jaded and uninterested in people. They quote an hour to three hours for simple prescriptions you are picking regardless of whether you are waiting there or not and they make zero effort to contact doctors when it is necessary. Even if you tell them it's an emergency, they will do nothing and act like they don't care or are too busy. I've never experienced such little empathy, attention, and kindness from pharmacy employees. They've also made a few mistakes on prescriptions and that's been the most frustrating and potentially dangerous experience. I honestly trust their competence about as much as their people skills. I had a super unpleasant experience here and, believe me, I empathize with places where workers are not trained well, are mistreated, or there is poor management. I don't blame the employees. I blame what is clearly terrible management. At the end of the day it's the store and management's responsibility. Avoid at all costs. And if you are looking for a job, this place seems like a terrible place to work. No one seems happy here. If they were happy, they'd treat people better and pay attention to their customers needs. read more

Had to pick up a few items while on vacation so my wife and I stopped here to get necessities before going to our hotel. We saw no staff on our way into the store and a line at the pharmacy may have been the reason we could not get any help from the staff in getting assistance even after pushing the help button 2 times and waiting the timespan of 2 songs that they had playing on the overhead speakers. When we arrived at the registers we had to wait for a checker to help us because of the alcoholic beverage. I had grabbed a canned tangurey that was on the shelf and the cashier could not ring it up. They Called a manager and they could not ring it up. I wound up not getting 3 of the four items I came in for because nobody could assist us get into a locked cabinet or find where the alcoholic beverage I wanted to but was priced. We gave up in looking for the other items due to the lack of help. I would not send my worst enemy there to waste time or money on anything here. Finally, a legitimate drug store on this side of town! There's been nothing west of Fairview ever since the Rite Aid in the Plaza Shopping Center closed down some years ago. I enjoy this particular CVS as it's in a newer building, offers ample parking along with a drive-thru pharmacy. It's always clean and well-stocked, and pricing is reasonable. I was in here the other day and received the best customer service from Elaine, the cashier. She was so kind and friendly with me. Really made my day. WOW, so many bad reviews. I have been using them for a while, but no more. Krystal (pharmacist) is amazing, but not the others. I got a text that my RX was ready to be picked up. Went in; the person looked once and said they didn't have it. I told them I got the text that it was ready and showed her. She checked yet again....we don't have it. I, FOR THE THIRD TIME, repeated my name/spelling it out; oh, there it is. Seriously? So the next day, had to get some antibiotics. Received a text that said they were not in stock. So I called, twice....only to be left on hold 20 min each time, no one ever answered. So I went in again...the person finally came to the counter and I asked about the RX.....not in stock and we don't know when. I said I tried to call twice, and NO ONE would answer the phone. She said they were terribly understaffed. Not one CVS store had the drugs I needed. So gladly transferred my RX to Walgreens; the RX was filled almost instantly and the pharmacist took time to explain what I needed to do. Thank you, Walgreens! So, I will be moving all my prescriptions to Walgreens or Costco. Never again here. The manager is super unfriendly and not helpful at all! read more

Has anyone at CVS even read these one-star reviews? I've been filling prescriptions at CVS for years, and I've never ONCE had a transaction go smoothly. Right now I've been waiting on the phone for 30 minutes to fill a standard prescription that should be, but for some reasons never is, routine. Meanwhile my ears are assaulted by a horrible caterwauling noise in the background that seems calculated to drive me insane, while a message about vaccines (which doesn't apply to me) repeats over and over and over. I pray for the day when I have an opportunity to choose another pharmacy as part of my health care plan. read more

Best customer service and overall great experience when I come here. My Girlfriend and I changed our prescriptions here because we used to have them at Costco but they take nearly 24 hours to just have your prescriptions ready compares to CVS which mostly takes never over an hour. And when I have a question they answer it with no hesitation. Love coming here for prescriptions and having a bigger variety of over the counter meds to choose from. read more

I needed a couple of boxes of Biotene Moisturizing Spray. Each one costs $10.49 but if you buy a second one you get it for 50% off said the sign on the product display. So I purchased 2. As I left the checkout I confirmed that I got the price discount but the checker said you have to have a card. What card? My total cost was $22.61. Came to Goleta for the weekend and left my medication I need to take daily at home. Came to this CVS and 6:01 when the pharmacy closes at 6. The woman at the pharmacy helped the person in front of me. The manager was picking up calls for the pharmacy. When I got to the register the woman refused to help me and told me to come back tomorrow and left the store. This isn't a McDonald's. This is a pharmacy. I should have been helped when I need my meds and they were clearly still open. The person should go work in retail if they want to punch the clock the second their shit if over. Wonderful pharmacy, friendly service. My only complaint is that they leave one pharmacist to do all the work and last night there were a lot of people needing prescriptions and only this one female pharmacist was left to take care of the drop offs, pick ups, filling prescriptions and giving information. That is a ton of work to put on one person, she did it efficiently with incredible speed and kindness but really CVS corporate hire more on staff at a time she takes the load of the entire pharmacy way too often. Went to take a covid test went to the wrong location so arrived about 5 min late, a truck was in front of me & took about half hour trying to get some medicine so they put me as a no show & the NP left. They didn't bother to call to make sure I wasn't going to "show up". Don't go here for testing! read more

The evening before I requested a vaccine appointment by filling out a lengthy online form. I received an appointment for 9 am the next morning. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told to wait. After about 30 minutes, I was informed that the vaccine would not be available to me. After that, I went directly to Rite Aid, without an appointment, and received my vaccine very quickly. I would give this pharmacy 0 stars if possible. I would avoid this place unless you want to waste a lot of time and effort. read more

I switched over to this pharmacy a while back and have nothing but the best experiences here. The pharmacy manager, Krystal, is absolutely phenomenal and you can clearly tell that she cares about her patients. Even on busy days, the staff is quick to acknowledge each customer which makes waiting in line less frustrating. On one of my recent trips, I had an issue with my insurance company but the technician, Neeti, was super helpful in explaining the situation and offered to contact the company for me so I didn't have to stress further. Sure enough, the issue was quickly resolved and they were able to get me my medication before I ran out. This kind of efficiency is so important when your health is involved and because of that, I would recommend this pharmacy to any of my friends or family members in a heartbeat. You can tell that the staff here really does care about their customers! read more
