Since they switched management - I have had awful experiences with this pharmacy. I am floored by how rude the pharmacist was to me today. I also heard how she treated the woman before me in line - which was totally unacceptable. I also talked to a pharmacist on the phone last Friday who was totally rude. Honestly - what is going on? Excellent pharmacy. A world away from the usual CVS, and a very good, special world to be in. Excellent, knowledgeable, and very helpful pharmacists. You will truly get good care here. And then, there is the most delightful shopping! Perfect place to find a perfect gift.... Thymes and Figi, hard-to-find Eminence Hungarian skin care company, some really sweet children's clothes, books,& toys, lotions, skin care, candles, and even a few well curated books. Ever since this pharmacy was bought and new ownership has taken over, the service has gone down considerably. Most of the original staff is gone, including one of the best female pharmacists that was there for years. They also no longer take insurance, although I take hormones that are not covered by insurance. Such a shame to see these changes. Will start having my prescription filled by an out of the area compounding pharmacy Harbor Pharmacy. They are incredibly polite and helpful and offer home mailing of my prescriptions. read more

I've been meaning to write a review for the last few weeks, and finally have the opportunity to do so. My sister took me on a mini vacation at the end of January for an early birthday celebration. Along with the cute shops, she mentioned that there's a great pharmacy we should check out. And indeed, we did! Lol First off, aside from the usual items you would find at a pharmacy, they had so many unique items! Whoever is the supplier for their store, does a great job. I think we spent a good 45 minutes looking at everything. When we were ready to check out, the owner, Keld, was there to help out. Not only did he ring up our purchases, but he took his valuable time sharing some recommendations for our stay (dining and things to see and do - in detail)! It was so thoughtful and greatly appreciated! Btw, we ended up going on the drive he recommended and Oh, Anderson's! We unfortunately were there on a Tuesday (the only day of the week that they're closed). We looked in the window and ooohed and ahhhed (we Scandinavians, adore a great pastry)! Well, all the more reason to go back! On a side note, everyone there at the pharmacy was helpful and kind. Looking forward to going back! Check it out, you won't regret it! read more

Cute for cards / gifts etc but fully expect to pay almost 50% more than elsewhere. My ( bad review is based off them charging $30 for a single covid home test that is sold elsewhere and online for $9-12 dollars) price gouging is illegal and unethical. Shame on you. And don't say you out more the day I saw this I could buy the same box of 10 tests for $98 plus $8 shipping. read more

I have used San Ysidro Pharmacy for several years and generally have been very happy with the service, however the past year their quality and service have been SERIOUSLY lacking. Especially the fact that staff do not wear masks indoors - in a PHARMACY - during a PANDEMIC! Today I was in to pick up a RX and 2 out of the 4 staff were unmasked. Disgusting. read more

What a wonderful welcoming friendly pharmacy not to mention extremely helpful. We were after covid tests and the pharmacist Scarlett literally went out of her way to help us. She was knowledgable and just great with allaying our concerns. We were a bit stressed and upset because we'd just had the most unhelpful and rude encounter with the pharmacist at Vons in Montecito but thanks to Scarlett we left happy and reassured. I love eating breakfast at the Pharmacy. Inside seating reminds me of Mayberry , but I enjoy sitting outside, weather premitting. The service is always friendly. I have had a couple of differnt omelettes but my favorite thing on the menu is there breakfast tacos, it filled with sasuage ,cheese , avavado and great homemade salsa. The pharmacy itself it's packed with great merchandise, to my wife's delight. Give it a try, you will be back for sure. read more

Unfortunately a review that deserves no stars. Bad service and bad prescriptions make this a place I'm afraid to return to. My doctor called in several prescriptions to this pharmacy. When the pharmacist called me to review them, he told me he would give me instructions for applying them and the cost. There was an extra prescription in there as well which I did not need. My doctor called and verified that it should not be there. When I arrived to pick it up, it was a disappointment. The prescription was back in there, even without it the total was quite a bit more than he told me, and no one explained how to take them. The bottles that I got are leaking quite a bit of cream, and when they do, it is separating. Not a place I would remotely recommend. read more

NOT impressed with their service. I tried to call in a prescription, which the first lady said was fine, but then the pharmacist got on the phone and was so arrogant and rude. He was snippy with me, laughed at me for trying to call in a prescription and spoke in an angry tone with me. It was bizarre and it's the worst treatment I've ever received from a pharmacist. I'm going to those one and two star reviewed pharmacies in the area because it can't be worse than this. read more

This is the most reckless pharmacy I have ever entered. I have been in the pharmacy multiple times during the Covid Pandemic and the pharmacist never has her mask over her nose. Maybe she doesn't believe in the Pandemic, or maybe she doesn't believe in masks. If so, she should let her customers know, so they can safely get their prescriptions from someplace else. Lastly and most worrisome, she, the pharmacist miscalculated my recent prescription. MISCALCULATED!!! That is a dangerous mistake and not one to trust of give chances to. She admitted to the mistake after I continued asking questions over the course of a week. I ended up having to read dates off of the label of my prescription bottle to a person who answered the phone. Only then did the pharmacist admit to the mistake. In my case the prescription is not life threatening despite the pharmacist tell me multiple times that it was a controlled substance. I am fine and there was no harm in the delay between refills, but still a pharmacist miscalculating a prescription is not something to take lightly. read more

That means someone knows the difference between Ascorbic acid and Calcium Ascorbate. An onsite dietition available for consulting. That means someone can assist you while dieting. At first glance, this seems like an upscale & quaint hometown pharmacy. If your prescription is very easy for them to fill, then you will probably have a smooth transaction. I find some of the employees to be TOTAL AIRHEADS if met with any kind of challenges. I've had several business dealings with them and kept an open mind until it was an ongoing problem. read more
