This location is a joke, Kevin the Supervisor is such a punk. I bought a product from CVS in Glendale. Have the receipt which shows that the product matches the receipt from CVS. I used my reward when purchasing, it and he refused to take it back. Keep in mind it's brand new. I guess if you buy from CVS, and it's not this location. They will not take it back. I hope CVS Corporate Office reads this reviews. Pharmacist at this particular store creates their own policy that CVS never heard of, but even when Relationship Agent from CVS calls this pharmacy, Pharmacist lies about why he refuses to fill quantity prescribed by a doctor. Only dispense you what insurance has maximum and Pharmacist will not allow to pay out of pocket $20 to fill full quantity insisting he refuses what doctor wrote, if it's not fully covered by insurance. Have anyone experienced this issue? Have anyone else experienced abused by Pharmacy Employees? I can't believe CVS is not getting involved and teaching local pharmacy employees how to work. I would give 0 stars if I could. Manager (Kevin) was extremely patronizing when I tried to explain that I had placed an order earlier today that had immediately been cancelled and asked if I would be receiving the Extrabucks I had used on the order back on my CVS card. I tried to show him in the app that I had indeed placed an order and that it had been cancelled, to which he brushed me off, didn't even bother looking at my phone with the proof, and responded with an attitude saying something along the lines of "I am the only one who cancels orders and I didn't cancel any orders today. I've personally fulfilled all pickup orders today." Then, probably because he knew I was angry because he was being extremely rude, he passed me off to another employee who did her best to deal with how angry I was, but she shouldn't have had to deal with it because the manager should've done his job and not been such an a**hole! Only ended up shopping here because I had a prescription to pick up, and I immediately put in a prescription transfer request on my app before even leaving the parking lot so I never have to deal with Kevin again. A local CVS sells the 12 oz bag of Sour Patch Kids. I bought one today, opened the bag before starting my car, and ate 3. The mouthfeel of all 3 was off. Big candy companies rarely let candy that does not meet its own mouthfeel standards get packaged as its own b/c it is bad for business. (I know this from working several yrs at Mars, Inc and Procter and Gamble. These companies are aware that customers KNOW the mouthfeel of their favorite candy. It's why the candy is supposed to pass detailed internal mouthfeel checks.) Anyway, I took the bag back into the store less than 3 min after I walked out, presented the receipt, stated that there was something wrong with the candy, and asked for a refund. 2 staff members sniffed the bag and then the older one stated flatly that CVS does not take back opened candy. I disagreed and explained that one HAD to open the bag to detect problems with goods in airtight packaging. She called a manager. I stayed at the register. Before the manager arrived, she relented and provided a refund. CVS, do you KNOW you are rated 2 stars on Yelp? If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging. read more

Happy holidays!!! 2night the review is 5/5 First and foremost, I want to give a very loud shout out to an individual by the name of Kerim that helped me this evening, through cvs pharmacy and as a patient it makes all the difference when the pharmacist is kind enough and collected enough to do their due diligence.... Understanding that this is a high stress job, it sometimes helps to have empathy and compassion for our pharmacists, trying to get their jobs done dealing with challenges and obstacles, and in my certain circumstance, a computer glitch with the system that caused everything to look completely wrong, and it was very stressful, stressful for me, and although I was stressing, Kerim Outstanding bedside manner, made me feel instantly, like I was in good hands, and his choice to actually go the distance and investigate the issue , caused me to feel like he was taking what was causing this issue seriously, as we all depend on certain medication's. It's scary when there's an issue that doesn't make sense, and I felt fear, after referencing my doctor, and figuring out that the problem was not on his end,Karen went the distance which made me feel, cared for and valued as a customer. THANK YOU‍ these are the kind of folks that keep me coming back to the Cvs, and I'm so grateful I received an individual equipped with the compassionate care giving qualities, I needed, and he chose to do a little bit of investigating, and found the glitch and fixed the issue and made my holiday.... Absolutely the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced. From the tech to the actual pharmacist. Pharmacist rolled his eyes when I asked a follow up question about whether I needed to purchase two of the same medication for my kids. It didn't make sense that I should but wanted to confirm by "the professional". Aside from my own experience. The treatment towards the elderly that I witnessed is horrendous. Patience is key here and at least pretend to be kind. No one wants to go to pharmacy by choice. Just SO Sick and tired of the bad service. They need to completely hire a brand new team or something. I bought 4 items: cookies, Twix, something else, and a 4 Pack of TP. HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED: My stuff, its on the counter, she's ringing it up.. I use my card and after I pay, I realize I'm gonna need a bag cuz I'm on my eBike. So I apologize and tell her I would like to purchase a bag with a dime in my bag, not even knowing their bag policy. The overall 1 1/2 star rating of the store did not surprise me in the least. I know that most CVS's are terrible. This store managed to prove themselves even WORSE through a truly ridiculous experience I had there. I made the mistake of attempting to use one of those coupons that appears in the mile-long receipt that you get whenever purchasing one item at a CVS. (That was my second mistake, the first, of course, being entering a CVS) The coupon was for a big $3 off for CVS brand cough, cold, and flu remedies, which I tried to use to purchase CVS brand non-prescription nasal decongestant. The pharmacist, Danyata, said that their system couldn't honor it on their CVS version of Sudafed, because it's for "allergies," and wouldn't escalate the situation further. (There were no exclusions listed on that coupon). I know it's only $3... but I can't stand to see a store rip off customers, nor do I well suffer fools. I sought out the store manager. "Kevin" said he'd refund the sale and try to get it to go through. This caused the California system that tracks pseudoephedrine (CVS-"Sudafed" active ingredient) purchases to say that I tried to buy 2 boxes of the stuff, so now I couldn't buy ANY of it, for $3 off, or for any price, for 24 hours, anywhere, at any store. I'm sure I'm not the only person who's ran into this level of incompetence at a CVS store, or this one in particular. I can only imagine what happens when you try to use insurance for a prescription, or what actually might end up in your bottle when you have these clowns, who can't even operate a cash register, getting their hands in your medications. Also, any class-action lawyers reading this? I'm sure that CVS has been dispensing miles and miles of bogus coupons on a regular basis. I wish there was a 'no star' rating for the pharmacy at this CVS location. I had a small surgery and my doctor wanted me to use a particular antibiotic cream on it that was not over-the-counter. I usually use the Costco pharmacy (5* by the way), but didn't want to drive out there for just one prescription. So I had it sent to this CVS, which is near me. What a mistake that was! I went to collect my drugs about 5 hours after they had received it (confirmed via text). They did not have it ready and told me to come back in about 3 hours! I could not go then, so went the next morning. Waited in line for 25 minutes, only to be told that they were 'running behind' and it would be ready in 45 minutes. I couldn't wait so decided to return later. About two hours later I received another text saying the prescription was ready. So I returned to the store later that afternoon and again, waited in line - this time for 20 minutes. However, when I got to the counter, I was told that the drug was not in stock at their store and it had just been delivered in one of the large boxes behind the counter and they were waiting for someone to unpack it!!! My question is this: how could they send me a text in the late morning saying it was ready, when they didn't have any in stock!? Seems they were lying! So, I went back the next morning to get the prescription. Surely it was ready by now... or not!!!!! Unbelieveably, after waiting another 25 minutes in line, i was told that they had the product, but had still not filled the prescription! I would have to wait 35 minutes.... needless to say, I did not! Again, I returned later in the day and FINALLY they had it ready! Oh... I had to wait in line this time for 25 minutes again!!! What I should have done the first time they pushed me off was to have my doctor change the prescription to Costco. To my cost, I didn't. However, I will NEVER use this pharmacy again, and if you have read all the way through this missive, I hope you will never use it either! Only way these mega corporations listen is if their customers 'vote with their feet' and never use the store again!!! read more

It doesn't look like CVS is going to do anything about these bad reviews, but adding one more since it was a horrifying experience: What a nightmare! The nurse/staff administering flu shots was incredibly aggressive and rude. My 5-year-old daughter was especially mortified and inconsolable from this experience. My wife and I had gotten our shots right before my daughter, and the nurse was incredibly rude to us (one example: yelling at us because she selected the wrong person's name on her phone/device and the DOB I gave her didn't match what she was looking at?!) but what was most unacceptable for us was how this person treated our daughter. As my daughter sat down to get her shot, the nurse snatched my daughter's dress sleeve without any warning, and she yanked her over towards her aggressively to get her close enough to administer the shot. She could have simply asked my daughter (or us) verbally to move closer instead of using force. It was so jarring that my daughter started to cry inconsolably, and we had to walk her around the store for 5 mins to get her to calm down. read more

Normally I don't write reviews unless something is really, really good or really bad. Unfortunately in this case it is about an employee who is beyond rude. Saturday was not the first time I have had a problem with Kevin. I picked up two items and as I was walking to get something else I noticed he was following me. It was extremely unnerving, but I pretended I didn't notice. I picked up another item and he suddenly exclaimed "you have to check NOW!" Rather than argue with him and just to get away from him I left. Because I am handicapped I don't drive so I spent $30 for a cab for no reason. I spent $277 at CVS in Turnpike Center today. I would give this ZERO stars if there was an option. I called to check on 2 prescriptions, was told one was in process and would be ready within the hour, but the other was not covered by insurance. I told them it didn't matter about the insurance, I'd pay whatever. I then confirmed "if I come in 1 hour, my prescriptions will be ready?" Sounding irritated (as though I was asking for special favors) he confirmed "yes, they'll be ready". About 2 hours later I dropped in to pick up the prescriptions. "I'm sorry - it's not ready yet." I waited. They called my name and I went to pick up my prescriptions. Only 1 was ready. He told me the other was "on hold" because it was not covered by insurance. I explained that it didn't matter to me about the insurance and that I didn't put it on hold so I didn't know how to take it OFF hold. Inconvenienced, he told me that I had to take it off hold. We went back & forth a few times and I finally just left. I came back about 4 hours later. The SAME conversation happened. Again, seeming VERY put out, he just kept saying "you have to take it off hold". I don't know how many times I can say "I didn't put it on hold and don't know how to take it off hold" and he just kept saying the same thing. Finally he just POINTED to another window and said "talk to them".... um, you mean the guy standing 4 feet from you? Maybe you can just kindly explain the situation to him since NO ONE ELSE WAS IN LINE? SOOooo I wait in line for the guy to be available to talk to me. I had to explain my situation (again) and he said "I talked to you on the phone this morning and TOLD you it wasn't covered by insurance". I reminded him that I didn't care and that I told him I still wanted to pick up both. His reply was "I TOLD you we sell this over the counter, why don't you just grab one from the shelf?" Seriously. Do you think I am that dumb? If you had it in stock, I would have been done with you by now! The attitude of these two was unbelievable. I'm not sure how they are allowed to (or paid to) work in customer service. The flippant way they spoke to me, their rude tone, and the near eye-rolling looks they both gave me are unacceptable. Unbelievable slow in filling prescriptions. Arrived at 10 am and was told that the prescription would be ready in 15 minutes. cane back after 30 min and still not filled. The young gal Dariya was very polite and apologetic. Make a long story short, finally after waiting another hour, finally went to the register to tell the young gal that if its not ready, I will go home and come back and lo and behold it was ready and the pharmacist never told the gal cashering it was ready and since the pharmacist saw me waiting I can only conclude that she is just rude, making people wait intentionally. I have pneumonia so the doctor at Urgent care wanted me to get my medication before they closed CVS at 6 pm. I got to CVS on State Street at 5:30, they said they were understaffed, but the people refilling the medications were not even making an effort to help me. They said they to come back tomorrow. I told them I was feeling very ill, but they said there was nothing they could do to refill it because they were closing in 5 min. 30 min. To tell me that! Worst front-desk service! Went there to get my passport pictures taken. Took an hour to get them to take a picture and make four 2x2 prints. Guy got it wrong so many times. Moreover ridiculously expensive! $32 for four 2x2 prints!! That is $8 for getting my face printed on a 2x2 piece of paper!!! When I asked the guy to just throw in the pics he printed wrong he goes 'no man I gotta charge you for it'. I say you are only gonna throw them. And he says yes I will!! The pharmacy has ridiculously bad customer service. I'm not a customer, live nowhere near this store, yet they keep leaving me voicemails that someone's prescription is ready. Today, March 9, 2020, 9:15 am, when I phoned them to try and help patient as well as pharmacy out, the employee who answered tried to give me the runaround, told me to call other numbers! What about fixing their own problem and making sure their customer gets their medicine?! When I asked to speak with a manager, I was put on hold so long that I just hung up. I have the following specific complaints with this store: (1) Some of the non-pharmacy personnel are pleasant, but others are not. One staff member in particular--Amy--is almost always scowling, and her answers to questions tend to be rather curt. There is no excuse for this kind of behavior. (2) The pharmacy personnel are not particularly honest. On one occasion, the pharmacy called to tell me that a prescription that my doctor had ordered was ready for pickup. The price seemed unreasonably high, so I said that I didn't want the item and asked that it be returned to stock. I was told that this would be done, but the pharmacy then proceeded to call my wife and ask her to pick up the item for me, which she dutifully did. This is not the sole instance of dishonest behavior that I've experienced with this pharmacy. (3) Hold times to speak to someone in the pharmacy can be upwards of 30 minutes. (4) The pharmacy closes three hours earlier on Saturdays and Sundays. Curiously, people are just as likely to get sick and need medication on the weekend as on other days of the week. I give it a 1, because I can't give it a negative number!!! I was just in your store to return an item. The cashier who helped me was very rude and threw the item on the counter. When I asked him if there was anything wrong, with an aggressive voice he said: " Don't ask me what's wrong, there's nothing wrong!!" When I asked him what his name was, he said "here's my name tag, do you want me to spell it for you?!!!" So, I finished the transaction and stepped aside and waited for the manager who was helping another customer. Once he was done, I told him that the other cashier was rude. His response was "what about it?" So, I repeated my statement. His response this time was " have a nice day ma'am!" I said "wow, are you dismissing me?" Never again! Two people left the line we've been waiting in for our scrips - both with disabilities - one on a walker and one just from the hospital. It's never fast here but 45 mins - for the pickup line. Not including the 10 mins for the dropoff line. We all said never again. If I could rate it less than 0 stars I would! First I went to CVS to pick up my daughters medication, on Tuesday I turned in RX. They said they would order it, and it would be in & will be ready by next Wednesday the 31st. I asked "do you promise you'll have it when I'm back on the 31 otherwise my daughter will be out." On the 31 I come to pick it up & the pharmacist says it will be ready in 5 minutes. I come back 5 minutes later and they say they lost it, they tell me they will probably find it in a hour so I go to pick my daughter up and they we go back to CVS and they give us the wrong medication! We ask about the other and he says my insurance doesn't want to prescribe these meds, so they're making it difficult! That has NOTHING to do with the fact they said it would be ordered Tuesday & ready for me Wednesday. He said I had to go to 3 different places in order to get the medication. I've been getting this medication for a year. This is not the first time they've messed up and sent me on a wild goose chase, sometimes medication-less in the end. read more

Worst customer experience I've ever had at a pharmacy. One staff member frowned when people showed up in line because he had work to do. Then he put me with someone else to be taken care of... and the way the guy talked to me (I already felt like poop because I'm sick and picking up prescriptions) it was as if I had wildly offended him by showing up with four things to pick up. "2 of these are over the counter so they aren't covered by insurance." He snarled. I responded with "ok, can you let me know what they are called since they have the medical name on the sheet I got from the doctor?" "Mucinex and Claritin," he said. "Ok, is there any specific kind since there are multiple types of claritions and mucinex?" "No... just the regular one." Wtf happened to this Pharmacy? You guys used to be so amazing! I understand mistakes happen every now and then, but this is now 3x in a row that I have called in my prescription in advance and you either "didn't get it" or it isn't filled on the date and time I requested, sometimes even 72 hours in advance!! 3rd time I have talked to their Customer Service Reps and they have been chewed out so much, they are completely numb to the patients needs. I understand that being under staffed happens, but this isn't retail LETICIA (pharmacy Rep), don't tell me you don't have the medication I so desperately need with an attitude that makes you come off as disgraceful!
