Issac deserves 10 stars and some serious recognition because he has gone above and beyond to help with stuff no other employee ever at any cvs has attempted to or offered to help on. I am so impressed with the way this young man is always attentive with a calm energy and he definitely feels to be genuine. He is a treasure of an employee that this cvs has and I truly appreciate the customer service excellence he naturally has. This cvs has a low star rating but ignore it because I've been impressed with most of the employees here. Tony the manager is great too! He is highly conscientious and works hard with his team when it's busy and makes you feel like he is happy to help with any issue. This CVS has a nice open feel and is large. They carry the high end products too! For face they have Murad, dermalogica, Peter Tomas Roth and glam glow etc... For hair care I couldn't be happier as this cvs is he only one in my area that carry's multiple options for kerastase and now several of the ORIBE which is a favorite of mine, both of these brands are of high preference for me! I can't stress it enough but seriously Isaac and Tony and the pharmacist Lefei (I think I spelled right) have raised the bar for customer service and have made tins be the best CVS I've ever been to across the country. The rudest Pharmacy workers. There is one man that works the front counter and one pharmacist that helps administer vaccines that are delightful! Everyone else is extremely rude and does not care about bed side manner. Even over the phone there was confusion about a prescription that has a lot of steps to get approved each month and the woman on the phone kept repeating the same sentence and would not answer any of my questions until I finally hung up. They regularly ask for your info and just toss the prescription at you and walk away. I get the same prescriptions every month and every time they say they don't have record of it and I need to call my doctor, even though my doctor had receipt of them getting my prescription and on the CVS app is shows they are working on it. The actual CVS staff are great and helpful but I will not be refilling my prescriptions here. read more

DO NOT USE THE PHARMACY AT THIS LOCATION If I could give the pharmacy at this CVS location negative stars I would. I have had 9/10 negative experiences while using this pharmacy over the past few months. Wether it's incorrect medical items included in an order, taking an extra four days to fill an RX that should have been automatically refilled that I must take everyday, or people working the counter who lie and exaggerate wait times by hours only for me to receive a call that the RX I had asked about was now ready ten minutes after I had left. I work a 10-5, so I show up within an hour of them opening- thats an excuse for my items not being prepared. I show up midday- they're about to go on lunch and can't get it done now. I show up in the evening and they close soon so come back tomorrow. I ask them how can I help with the issues regarding my RX order not being filled in over a week since the order was sent in, why is it taking all of this extra time, they tell me they don't know, I ask how can I figure out what the issue is, "I don't know." Literally you should all quit your jobs besides the one nice pharmacist lady who has granted me a single sliver of hope that humanity exists in the pharmacy at this CVS. I was recently at the CVS on South Turnpike road and had such a horrible experience I thought it important to share. First, there was an elderly gentleman at the pharmacy counter attempting to pick up his medication. The young man behind the counter seemed unable and unwilling to understand him and began to snicker, roll eyes and make faces at the female employee at the neighboring register. The senior repeatedly spelled his name and gave his birthday but apparently this was quite hilarious to the two cashiers, and they made little effort to even turn around to look for his name in the filled prescriptions bin. Eventually, the gentlemen left empty handed. When my turn came, I asked the male cashier for information about my prescription. He referred me to the pharmacist. The pharmacist, sitting next to the 'Consultation' window, ignores me for a bit then asks me name and birthday. I respond and he asks if I have insurance. I tell him I do not. Then he looks up, and after announcing private details about my medication, tells it would be a federal violation for him to allow me to purchase it without using insurance. Huh? I've been taking this for years and it was last refilled here at this pharmacy. Then he insists there is a problem because my medication has not been refilled for over a year. I explain that it was last refilled in October, it is now July so it has not been a year. He tells me that any medication filled in 2024 is considered a year ago. Then he tries to embarrass/bully me by saying-- loud enough for all the other customers in line to hear--specifics about my medication and that he has to call my doctor to confirm the medication. Great! I say. I'll wait right here in case you need to ask me anything. He then goes about filing and scrolling on his computer for about 5 minutes and later he looks up and says I'm not calling her now. I'm busy. Ok, so when might my medication be ready I ask. He says he has no idea. So let me recap, you won't fill my medication because my refill 9 months ago is considered over 1-year in CVS-land, you won't sell it to me because I don't have insurance but you have to announce to a bunch of strangers details about my medication and that I cannot get it until you speak to my doctor because you, a non-doctor, have to confirm what my doctor decided? What is going on here?? Needless to say, I called my doctor immediately and asked that my Rx be moved elsewhere. Disrespecting seniors, bullying customers, violating medical privacy. Nope. Nope. Pharmacists at CVS Turnpike are the most unprofessional I have encountered. They are consistently rude, impolite, and unhelpful. It is inconceivable that a small town pharmacy employs staff with no apparent training or guidelines on courtesy and respect. They are unpleasant workers that do very little to help with urgent matters, even when the problem is with CVS and the CVS app. Unlike pharmacies elsewhere, where customers are treated as valued members of the community, this CVS disregards basic cordiality. We are regular customers, yet they fail to recognize us or offer the simplest respect. We should be greeted - not yelled at. Our names and dates of birth, which effectively serve as passwords to our prescriptions, should be handled discreetly - not called out for the entire store to hear. Shockingly, the more experienced the pharmacist, the more dismissive and disrespectful their behavior seems to be. In 16 years as a customer at CVS Turnpike, I have not once been treated with kindness. And clearly, the reviews go ignored - mine is not the only complaint. I scheduled a vaccination on a Saturday at a specific time they checked me in had me sit for 15 minutes without looking at me to indicate it would be a wait. There was no one in line and three people behind the counter restocking items including the pharmacist. I had to leave for another appointment at 1 PM and I left because of the wait. I then rescheduled to the following day and they canceled my scheduled appointment the following day. This location has me picking another location due to lack of professionalism as well as care for the individual. I am thinking I will change over to Wallgreens for my prescriptions and vaccinations as well as other needs. read more

There was a line of nine people ahead of me when i got here and ten people behind me as I'm walking up to the counter. This is crazy! They need more than one person at the register. They are typically understaffed & a bit sluggish at checkout but we've always been greeted & asked if we need help finding something- the staff is always friendly to me. This is the last prescription I get from this pharmacy. Prescriptions are never ready on time even when they text me they are ready. Several different times I've been promised they will be ready and they're not so I come back another day and yet they are still not ready. My father and I were told to line up to purchase medication, which required the cashier to unlock. This process took about 15 minutes. Ok, that's fine. However, the cashier then ordered us to go to the back of the line again to purchase the product, despite ALREADY waiting in line? This literally makes zero sense. It sure didn't help that the line tripled in size by the time he helped us! In addition, we were given an immensely condescending attitude from the cashier because my dad, a non-English speaker, was struggling to communicate with him. Maybe that's why he greeted everyone else he helped except us? Steve eventually (and reluctantly) agreed to check us out. I say reluctantly because after telling us "dude, just get in the back of the line," WITH NO EXPLANATION AS TO WHY, he sighs, rolls his eyes, and motions us to get rung up, like some angsty teen throwing a tantrum. I tried to use the photo processing computers. None of them worked. Only one clerk available in the whole store. She did not know how to work the computers. I was told to come back in six hours and maybe that clerk on duty would know something. I finally figured out how to get one of the computers started. I had a "extra bucks $5 reward coupon", but when I got to the register, the clerk could not get the coupon to work. I waited ten minutes until a lady came from the back of the store. She accused me of using the coupon already and that's why the register wouldn't accept it. I assured her I had not used the coupon and it was good until next month. There were six customers in line. The clerk at the register told me to come back another day and maybe the coupon would go through. It was a very upsetting situation. When I told my daughter what happened, she said the same thing has happened to her. CVS does not honor their coupons! read more

CVS is handy! Close by, carries items we need, has many on sale too! Employees are friendly & store practices safety for COVID. The only thing I could do without, is the annoying long coupons on receipt!!!! A funny thing about those long coupons was: a cartoon during the Toilet Paper shortage! If you are looking for pharmacy, turn around and ran as far away as you can from this pharmacy. They have the most unresponsive, unfriendly, unhelpful staff everrr!!! Try calling there phone number and you will not get a response or will be put on hold for at least 30min. They will not help resolve issues with your prescription, they will not direct you to the right person, they will not make an effort to run insurance coverage...as in NADA!!! Eh the line at the pharmacy was long and the pharmacists had trouble getting my insurance info from kmart, which led to me having to call Kmart and deal with their terrible, terrible customer service, but in the end it was resolved and I got my prescription. Slower than I would have liked, but the end result is what mattered. The low rating is mostly based on the restroom. That thing was DISGUSTING! you would think that a bathroom that you need a code to get into would be better maintained, but not so. paper towels were everywhere, trash was overflowing, it was just super dirty all around. One of the things at the top of my list when visiting the Santa Barbara area from San Francisco was going to this CVS, which is tucked away in a little strip mall in Goleta. Why? They carry Vichy products, which are really hard to find. Like 2 known stores in northern California (Longs in Walnut Creek and Ulta in Sacramento), and then next stop being Goleta hard-to-find. Vichy is a mid-range price but high quality line of products from France that you can find just about anywhere in Canada. Being from Canada, I really missed the stuff -- so I was really excited to hear that you can get it in the US (you can order most of the products online as well now). Anyway, I enjoyed stopping by, and also note that the store is large, also carries La Roche Posay (as does the Longs in Walnut Creek). I recommend the Vichy cleansers, Noraderm stuff, and the *best* are their new Dermablend products (also available without Vichy branding at Ulta in Tanforan mall in S. San Francisco). For whatever reason their credit card scanner wasn't working, and this really seemed to fluster and/or irritate the casher dude. I really really like this CVS Pharm. ESPECIALLY since they remodeled it about a year ago. The store is a little on the big side so they can organize the space a little more efficiently... but I really like this store b/c they care some pretty good cosmetic products that are usually hard to find in the US, like Roche Posay products! I normally order this stuff off the internet! The store is brightly lit and has a huge selection of cosmetics -- but they are kind of scattered all over the place. Not sure how this CVS compares to any others in the area since i don't live there and this was the only one i've visited, but I think this store is better than the Long's downtown. read more

Only come here to pick up supplies or things I can't get off amazon immediately. Prices are fair, however, better deals on some items can be found in vons(like water). There are CVS stores all over the country. Some have to be better than others. None can be worse than this one. Always lines at the pharmacy counter. Yeah, sure the prescription is ready at 3 on the dot, but when you get there, you wait 30 to 40 minutes on line with one checker while the pharmacy workers are chatting behind the counter, taking phone calls and otherwise ignoring the line at the pharmacy. Worst service ever! There's always a long line. My doctor sends one simple medication at 8:30 in the morning and I go pick it up at 6:00 pm to so they can tell me it's not ready? Are you serious?They also tend to make their own prices, sometimes even a different CVS have different prices on the same medication. One lady is nice and efficient she usually has to rescue everyone else. But the guy today was the worst, I think pharmacists have to remember that clients don't go pick up medication for fun! so the least they can't do is have some descent empathy and polite customer service. Incompetent pharmacists. Long story short first. They never have my medicine, even when I call in...a week before and they tell me they have it, and I can pick it up in 2 hours..and when I arrive even a few days later.. It's not filled, they were out of it when I called, they don't know who told me they had it...and they don't have any other brand to give me. THIS IS TIME SENSITIVE MEDICATION AND YOU ARE A PHARMACY. Here is the long story. I called in to have my medicine refilled on Wednesday. I asked if they had my type and was told yes and to not worry. I asked when it would be ready, 2 hours they said. I told them great, but I can't pick it up for a few days. They said no problem. When I arrived Monday of the next week, I was told it's out of stock but they can fill it by tomorrow. I was then sent from the pick up to the drop off line, which was no joke 40 minutes to get through and only 2 people in front of me. After telling me that it isn't in and they actually CAN'T fill it by tomorrow ( and don't know when they will be able to), I asked to get a generic or similar brand. They said they were all out, got offered one I wasn't supposed to have been offered because it works differently and the pharmacist didn't know. How do you not know?! He did manage to find a one month supply, when I needed 3. I asked if any other stores in the area have a 3 month supply. After 10 minutes on the phone, no joke, with people waiting behind me this whole time, he tells me to go to the Fairview one. He promises he will fax over my info instantly...When I arrive, I am rudely told that they haven't received it yet, and when I instigate to call the first cvs they randomly find it. Then I am rudely told again that I will need to wait for a long time because they have a lot of orders, which I understand. What I don't understand is why I am not a priority since THEY messed up. And I need it now, not tomorrow and not in 5 days. I am asked if I just need one, I tell her 3 months worth, she states I am not allowed by my doctor. Really? Because I am pretty sure we had this SAME problem last time, and it got changed. After 30 minutes, I am leaving the store with a one month supply I could have received from the first cvs. And he guy at the check out has the nerve to ask me if I want this on automatic refill. Worst of all they tell me I am too early for a refill if I call more than a week in advance. The whole time I was at the second Fairview cvs, they NEVER picked up their phone. It would just ring and ring, no wonder the first cvs couldn't get a hold of them. Some lady came in for her medication and was told it wasn't ready yet, she yelled at them that maybe if they ever picked up their phones...she wouldn't have driven over here for nothing. Also, the turnpike cvs asked my address, ends up they had my old one...I am sure I changed it last time. When I arrived to the Fairview cvs, I was asked why I was on the old address on their system. Are you friggin kidding me?! ALSO, EVERYONE WHO HAD BEEN IN LINE AT THE FIRST CVS WAS NOW WITH ME AT THIS ONE. Bottom line, I'm not a cvs customer anymore. What sort of fool spends time rating a pharmacy? Well, in my case it's a highly disgruntled one. I've been using this pharmacy for 20 years and its decline into incompetency is both inconvenient and disappointing. About a year ago something happened - acquisition of new customers from a closing local pharmacy, staffing cutbacks by corporate - who exactly knows? Now CVS Turnpike is a place where waiting pharmacy customers find camaraderie in their misery. We stand in a line 10 long, looking at the harried single clerk and 3 pharmacists filling orders. An automaton voice chirps "One call waiting for pharmacy", then "Two calls..", "Three calls...". Not one of the pharmacists looks up or moves towards a phone. The computer voices cries out to no avail and we all joke about reaching over the counter, picking it up and saying something like "Hello, this is CVS pharmacy - where the sick come to die in line." I've had enough. Online mail fulfillment for me. I think the model of brick and mortar pharmacies is fatally flawed - not enough money to pay enough staff. RIP CVS Turnpike. read more

Worst pharmacy ever - if I could give them -5 stars, I would! I was forced to use them a few years ago by my insurnace company and have experienced nothing but frustration since. They have screwed up more prescription orders than they have gotten right, even for refills that should have been no-brainers. No matter what time of day you show up, there is always a huge line. If you try to call and reach a pharmacist, you are put on hold FOREVER (just today...48 minutes before they accidently disconnected me). I started resorting to having my prescriptions mailed but recently had a SNAFU with that mailing center and cancelled the order, then after waiting several days for it to be transferred back to the local CVS had to call TWICE to get their rep to figure out why it didn't transfer back to the store. If you're in dire need for an RX...good luck to you. read more

The pharmacy staff is lean and over worked. There is one guy who is wonderful, polite and helpful, most of the staff are irritated with customers. However, there is no excuse for the rude, and abusive language by Mohamed, head pharmacist. I have a medical practice and would not be in business if I talked to my patients the way he does. A few months ago, after a complete knee replacement, I called in a pain medication refill. When I went to pick it up, several days later, Mohamed told me the pharmacy was 'out' of the medication and he did not know when it would be available. The pharmacy did not call to let me know they were out and did not call another pharmacy to see availability or let me know so that I could transfer the prescription to another pharmacy. When I asked 'what can I do' he shrugged his shoulders with no help. I was in a lot of pain. He is rude, dismissive and verbally abusive. He is in charge of the pharmacy and sets the tone for disrespectful customer service. There is no reason or excuse to behave with such disrespect. I recently had another awful interaction with Mohamed. I will not go back there. The general store managers are respectful and helpful. read more

Never EVER come to this cvs for the pharmacy. I had a simple transfer that took me 4 visits to get. I had to walk the pharmacist through her own drug procedures!! When I didn't answer my phone the first time because I was at work, they threw my file in the back and forgot about me until I came in!! Then the next day they told me they didn't have my phone number right after they JUST called me. After making mistakes for 4 days, they make me wait in line two more times.
