Younger guy drove out all of the business last night for sure def lost hundreds in sales came In Around 11 an proceeds to block of the the whole main portion of the store by using one of the machines it was a guy next to us that was trying to get through and asked if he could just grab a protein bar or if the guy could hand it to him. he was extremely rude and said no this portion of the store is closed you can leave. They got into a heated little argument and he also gave us so much attitude by telling us no definitely lost a lot of profit that night I bet. it was one thing that he couldn't hand us the products at least it was another that his tone was so rude by telling us to leave even when we were polite and the guy next to us was polite at first not only that, but the worker and another guy that the worker knew were allowed to walk in that section but for some reason no one else was. definitely won't be coming back even if it means I have to take a 10 minute drive down to the other 711 and I know that people I know as well do not like the younger Indian guy as he has been very rude to them as well I already know people go to the other 7-Eleven because of this specific guy's attitude. He's been creepy before to my friends as well not a good look in a college town btw! read more

I feel sick to my stomach. Bought a coke zero that smell entirely like mildew not only on the outside but around the lip as well as discoloration. I returned the product and the owner offered me another one but I refused. Clearly the are improperly storing bottled drinks and I didn't feel that he was concerned whatsoever and refused to smell his own mildewed product. That place it's always busy, but they are friendly. So I think I will stop by next time for a soda or something just to chill for a minute and enjoy the atmosphere. I am not sure about the food though, I haven't notice food there but I will definitely pay more attention extra time. read more

I've always had great customer service at this 711. It's clean and always fully stocked despite all of the students that live nearby. They're usually pretty knowledgeable about new snacks or promotions. If they don't know off the top of their heads, they're pretty great about taking a few moments to try and find the answer for me. I've never tried the hot meals at this 711 but they look fresh and smell good. It seems to me that they don't leave food under the heat lamps all day. You're more likely to get something a little more fresh and tasty than a stale two day old pizza. read more

Always very polite to me at the Isla Vista location... Sometimes the others and this one are out of a lot of these so-called fresh or cooked food which I'm sure is hard for people and I don't know if they're willing to make it to order but I've had a lot of difficulty when friends have wanted to get it delivered they have canceled orders etc. and it's a bummer. It's not always one location it tends to be a certain one that does this so it's hard to know exactly where the systemic issue is happening but it's just a bit unreliable as far as delivery and such goes back for pick up at is always a pleasant option and my service dog and I always glad to duck into a friendly 7-Eleven to grab some much-needed convenience items. I've had an issue at one specific location and I will make note of it on their address but the most again have been quite upstanding and then some and I will make sure I review them correctly based on location. Overall I am pleased with their selection leave out in a few more fresh items like fruit and yogurt and some non-dairy and other health bars and items that help those of us who have some dietary restrictions. I appreciate if they continue to expand their selection of healthy snacks and not just salty chips and candy. It really does make a difference. Definitely encourages me to stop and grab some thing if I imagine that there is actually something I'll be there not just junk. Definitely no fun when things like this paper bags and water machines are you there empty broken in disrepair my friends are junkie or have again things that make them look rundown but I understand these things happen and any effort to fix water machines and keep them in working order so those of us who plan to go on road trips certain times and that Magine to be able to fill up water bottles at certain locations where there are gas stations versus not and we know there are the machines but then they're always out of order that gets really old. Please either contact with a better company or remove the machine so it's not just a tease and makes people imagine that they could get something that they need that they can't. Literally gone with more than 10 gallons of glass growlers multi times to diff locations intending to fill and then not been able to Bc if out of order signs ore covid so it's not from that only or at all it's another issue... and it's more than discouraging by the third or fourth try...when the machine is still out of order months later, one begins to wonder if there's any hope for it to be repaired or if they even care. At that point I believe a new machine should just be purchased or again it should be removed by the company who can't seem to fix it quickly enough as it just makes everyone think that there's something there that isn't. I find it to be a form of false advertising that is problematic at minimum. Especially for travelers, it creates an expectation that they can't meet and then one had to go inside and spend extra money on expensive bottled water which is not appreciated. Sometimes it's filtered less depending on what brand you buy inside and how much money you are overcharged for basically just filtered tapwater again so it's really a big bummer when you expect to pay $.25-$.50 a gallon and then suddenly you're paying four dollars for a bottle of the same water it's insanity so it starts to seem a bit like a scam. I have a feeling it's more logistical but it's not a good look as we say in SoCal. read more

The owner/workers at this 7-11 are incredibly rude. They had a sign up for Ben & Jerrys that had them at buy one get one free. What a deal! I brought some up to the counter and immediately brought up the deal, to which the guy said "no it's only for 2 flavors". I went and took a picture of the sign since it was so clear that it was for everything. In the end, I told him that he should take down the sign if he wasn't going to honor it and left. I feel like this sign is just up so people will spend more money and not realize. Don't shop here. On top of the fact that they won't honor their signs or take coupons, they have higher prices on everything than other stores in the area. read more

This location is my savior as a college student. Staff is always kind (and I would assume patient, considering all of the drunken college students that go in). Sometimes the slurpee machines are down for long periods of time or stocks stay low. They also, unfortunately, haven't had 2 liters for awhile, but those are really my only complaints. Ultimately, I come here often, and it's pretty reliable. read more

my friends and i go to 7/11 pretty often, i'd say a few times a week and it's usually just to grab little snacks or drinks for the day or next few days but we always pay for each other so it's a big order. anyway, my friends went to this 7/11 tonight and when my friend was paying she said "hold on sorry my card is at the bottom of my bag" and the 7/11 worker said "i know cause every time you and your friends come in it's a lot" straight up being disrespectful and damn near shaming us for how much we go in. i can understand that this was a joke and that he most likely meant no harm, however, never once have we interacted with him in any way other than checking out our items. there's no friendship involved which makes this so messed up like the audacity is insane read more

I don't know about the reviews from a few years ago, but this 7-eleven 1) is clean 2) is fully stocked 3) has EXCELLENT service. The cashiers will work TWO REGISTERS at the same time to get the line moving. 4)'s fresh food is actually fresh and delicious 5) has genuinely friendly service 6) has employees who actually inform the customer what the best deal is, and care about their well being. I've seen people stumble in drunk and the employees REALLY want to make sure that the people are safe. if Yelp has any integrity, remove the reviews from more than a year ago. this 7-eleven must be under new management because it is a) a wonderful store and b) my new go-to store in IV. It's great to have a place that works 24/7 in Isla Vista, there aren't many. You are not able to buy alcohol there, because they don't have it. It's definitely an inexpensive place to buy food and soft drinks, cheaper than the stores around. The staff is a little weird sometimes and once I experienced a fight inside the store. Tbh I wish yelp had a 0 star option cause this place would get that option. I've been going to 7-11's all my life and this 7-11 is by far the worst one I've ever experienced. To put it in short. Bad service of any 7-11 chain I've ever been to. Even as a loyal 7-11 customer, I'm personally gonna get out of my way to pay another extra 50 cents from the card tax in IV deli mart just to not go here. I miss 7-Eleven already. Sure, there's thousands of others I could go to, but the one in IV is the best one and will always be the best one. As you begin to walk towards one of the busiest business in Isla Vista, you begin to realize that this 7-Eleven is unlike any other. It's bright, it's clean, and the customer services is unbeatable! No matter what time of the day or night you visit, the employees always greet you with a smile and always offer assistance upon request. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I frequent here & I decided to buy an electronic smoking device. The device was unfortunately faulty & I simply wanted an exchange. I went in very respectfully, purchased more stuff & then asked about exchanging the device.. I thought it was gonna be a simple transaction but I was met with the utmost resistance & felt as though I was toyed with. I had bought it less than 24 hours prior & the workers agreed it was faulty from the get go by testing it out. Immediately the device wasn't working as I told them but no exchange was processed. Instead, I was led on with them "testing" it out more, a heated argument & wasting about 1/2 an hour only to be told, "go talk to the company, we can't do anything here". The manager told me this in front of about 8 of the identical products I purchased..
