It was time for hubby and myself to get the second Covid booster shot, so since I had such a great experience last time, I deliberately sought out this CVS location again. It's not the easiest CVS location to get in to, depending upon what direction you're coming from. Southeast corner of Hillcrest & Campbell roads. The online appointment scheduler is so easy. You answer a few health questions, enter your basic information and what shot you are wanting and the date of the last vaccination. I made the appointment less than 24 hours ago. I could have even selected appts for the same day if I wanted to. I thought - why not get your vaccine on April Fool's Day - I'll remember when I got it! And how busy can it be for a shot on a Friday evening at 6:00pm! And it turns out it was a great time to get it! Arrived about 10 minutes prior to the selected time, I checked in via our text message we received asking to let them know when we were in the store. Stopped in at the pharmacy counter and had a seat in the vaccination waiting area. We were both so happy that Dalina was the pharmacist on duty! She gave us our vaccines last time and she is wonderful! Such a delightful person and expert at giving the shot. Didn't even feel a thing! I had brought along our vaccination record cards and she updated it for this vaccine. I also received an email later with the proof of the vaccine. The entire process was straightforward and so easy. I highly recommend this CVS location and Dalina!! read more

After over a decade of using CVS pharmacy, I have to stop. I can't call and reach a pharmacist. Too much of the time I'm trying to call and use the push-button system, and it doesn't work. When I'm needing a script for a sick household member and recovering from surgery and I can't even push buttons to find out if the script is ready - that doesn't work for me, anymore. The last straw was their new system of leaving a voicemail; CVS will no longer let anyone talk to a pharmacist, you must leave a VOICEMAIL. Every time I try, after spending almost 10 minutes on their useless push button system to leave said voicemail, the call will conveniently fail in the middle of trying to leave them a voice message. That's it. I'm done. read more

POS store just randomly closes; puts up a sign up saying they're shut down for 40 minutes. They're not kind enough to say what time they'll be back open, so you don't know when the 40 minutes started. They have done this on several occasions. read more

Around 3:15 today I went to check out. I had been waiting for the self-checkouts, both occupied, while a manager and an employee were behind the counter. One of the self-checkouts became available. The manager and the employee had walked from behind the counter, and another employee was voiding a transaction. I literally was taking steps to the self-checkout machine when a female employee GOT IN FRONT OF ME, literally cut me off as I was walking to the machine to purchase my item. Rude. What a lack of basic respect and total lack of awareness. I set my item down. The manager told me "Oh the machine is fine," but that wasn't the issue. Rude. Rude. Rude. They completely close for lunch now. With four people behind the counter there is no way to just rotate for lunch? And a longer lunch at that? Took two trips to get my prescription. Seems like my business is an inconvenience for your pharmacy? Then the money my insurance pays you is not enough, so you want 87 cents from me. You guys just couldn't negotiate with Aetna 87 more cents and you just couldn't let that one go. OK, I dug a dollar out from somewhere. $15 copay I get. 87 cents, come on. The entire reason to use CVS is convenience and avoiding a hassle. You guys are headed in the wrong direction. Either way, my insurer has been asking me to use their online pharmacy for a few months now. No multiple trips and all payments handled between them and the pharmacy. P.S. Your floors are always filthy with leaves and dirt. You still have bentonite all around the checkout area from the ice that was over a week ago. Seriously. At least act like you are trying. Everything you sell I can just get at Kroger or Tom Thumb within blocks. Not the end of the world in the grand scheme of things but just tired of the consumer getting the short end. read more

After work I came by to pick up a certain type of eyewash for my wife. Could not find it. Nkesha, the Pharmacist, happened to come by and was extremely courteous and helpful and after looking, said, "Here it is. There is one left." My wife needed this, so I was grateful she took the time to continue to search until she found it. I took it up to the front counter and Anthony took care of the purchase with a great attitude. This is my primary pharmacy and drug store. Never had a problem. The store is well stocked and the staff is friendly. I often pick up my parent's prescriptions as well as my own. Haven't had an issue with the pharmacy either. Most of the bad reviews are old so maybe there have been changes though I don't remember it being a bad place back then. I've been a loyal CVS customer for many years. After relocating from Los Angeles to Dallas, I was pleasantly surprised to find how easy it was to convert all of my regular monthly prescriptions from my old CVS to my new CVS here located on Campbell Road. That being said, not all CVS's are the same. In fact, this CVS is quite possibly THE WORST run pharmacy (or business for that matter) I've ever encountered. Not only are they extremely incompetent, but they are LIARS as well! It doesn't matter when they "say" your prescription will be ready - trust me, it won't be. As far as I can tell, they don't actually fill any prescriptions until you show up there to pick it up. It doesn't even matter how many hours (or even DAYS) of lead time you give them, they cannot figure out how to effectively manage the workload. Not only that, but even if you decide to suck it up and wait for them to get their act together and they actually fill it - you'll be waiting 3 to 4 times longer than the "10 minutes" they tell you it will be to have it "expedited' while you wait... And wait... And wait. They will literally look you in the eye and completely lie with a straight face, knowing that they have no intention of following through on their promised timeframe. It got so bad one evening this week that I actually took the time to ask to speak to the store manager about it. He actually said to me (this is no joke), "If I were you and I had to deal with them, I'd probably go somewhere else... These fools just don't know what the hell they're doing back there." Truer words have never been spoken, my friend. At least the store manager wasn't lying (albeit he wasn't too inclined to actually DO something to remedy the situation either.) It shocks me that people who are so obviously unqualified to run even a lemonade stand, much less a pharmacy, are actually responsible for the potentially life or death consequences of administering prescription medication. Shame on you CVS - you're better than this! (Or are you?) Stay away from this joke of a pharmacy unless you have some burning desire to reach across a counter and strangle the life out of an idiot masquerading as a pharmacist. This pharmacy sucks!!! The people are rude to me EVERY TIME I go to get my prescription!! Well then they texted me saying they will call my doctor to ask for a refill then told me it would be ready on Friday!!! However I go up to this pharmacy and it's not ready!!! The guy that was at the window told me that to doctor denied the refill! That would have been good to know last week so I could get into the doctor to get a refill!!! Then he questioned me about my texts and if I got it!! If I had gotten it I wouldn't have called it in to this pharmacy!!!! I will be going elsewhere for future prescriptions!!! I am only giving this CVS one star because I can not give it zero stars!!! The cashier was ANGRY and RUDE. She slammed the rain check book on the counter, didn't believe me that there was only one of the product available and the store promo was for two. The manager went up to her and told her to discount the one item and she completely ignored what he said and charged me full price. Then the store manager was standing right beside me at the register and she argued with him about the discount. He finally told her "just do it, let's not beat this to death." She then THREW the item and the rain check at me. Whereupon I requested she place it in a bag. No one apologized for any of this. I was annoyed but felt it wouldn't do me any good to say anything there. It was apparent this CVS is a fast sinking ship. When I arrived home I decided to write this review. I'm so glad my insurance just moved my scripts to Target. For six years we've used this cvs and it is excruciating. Our drugs are not exotic, just plain old maintenance drugs we've taken for years. A third of the time at least they are out and waiting for their "order." I've gotten partial fills twice on the same script! Come in, get 12 with the rest on order, come back, get 21, come back again. Ridiculous. My last script here (today) was supposed to be transferred to Target. I talked to the pharmacist at Target, she said they were still waiting, I called cvs, they didn't know what I was talking about. Always a line and they don't even acknowledge that you're standing there waiting. No excuse. read more

I've had bad experiences at this pharmacy too. One of the techs is always a little condescending and rude. Whenever there's a problem that we can't figure out right away, his reaction is just that I've done something wrong and there's no effort to try to resolve it. I've ended up leaving the pharmacy or ending a phone call early, only to figure out how to solve the problems on my own later (one time a prescription WAS ready but was under my maiden name, which I told him could have happened in the first place, etc). read more

This pharmacy in particular is extraodinarily terrible. They are very rude they make you wait 45 minutes just to drop off your prescriptions they don't tell you how much it'll be and the violate HIPAA quite often by speaking loudly over the counter when they should be protecting peoples privacy. Save yourself time and money go to a different pharmacy this one it'll probably be out of the medication you need anyways. read more
