I later received a notification saying the replacement was ready, so I drove to the pharmacy to pick it up. When I arrived, I was told they had made another mistake and compounded the replacement using the same bad batch. At that point, I was told they would make my prescription a third time, put a rush on it, and have it ready the next day. It has now been three days. I have called four separate times trying to get an update, and each time I have been placed on hold for 14+ minutes. I still do not have my medication or a clear answer as to when it will actually be ready. Mistakes can happen, but incorrectly compounding a prescription twice, telling a customer the replacement is ready when it isn't, missing the promised rush turnaround, and then making it extremely difficult to get an update is unacceptable, especially when someone is waiting on medication. If you need a prescription compounded, I would skip Dougherty's Pharmacy and go somewhere else. Based on my experience, I would choose SandRx instead.

There is a section dedicated to toys and kitsch, but that is separated from medical needs except for a few items by the register. An example of the helpful staff - I called to check on their hours and discovered that as I suspected they were already closed. But as they were doing inventory they were going to be on the premises and insisted that I could come to pickup my prescription now. They could not allow me to come in but went back and forth from the door to the back of the store to get my meds and run my card for payment. Way above and beyond! This isn't a place like the Walgreen's where you get your prescription along with shampoo, nail polish and snacks. This is a small neighborhood pharmacy with better selection of medical supplies than most drugstores and helpful staff. My only complaint? They aren't open on Sundays, or evenings. But I understand and appreciate that even though it makes it harder for me to get by there.

I could have even selected appts for the same day if I wanted to. I thought - why not get your vaccine on April Fool's Day - I'll remember when I got it! And how busy can it be for a shot on a Friday evening at 6:00pm! And it turns out it was a great time to get it! Arrived about 10 minutes prior to the selected time, I checked in via our text message we received asking to let them know when we were in the store. Stopped in at the pharmacy counter and had a seat in the vaccination waiting area. We were both so happy that Dalina was the pharmacist on duty! When I'm needing a script for a sick household member and recovering from surgery and I can't even push buttons to find out if the script is ready - that doesn't work for me, anymore. The last straw was their new system of leaving a voicemail; CVS will no longer let anyone talk to a pharmacist, you must leave a VOICEMAIL. Every time I try, after spending almost 10 minutes on their useless push button system to leave said voicemail, the call will conveniently fail in the middle of trying to leave them a voice message.
