FYI for anyone using self-checkout at this location: the machine on the right is the only one that offers cash back. The one on the left says "Debit/Credit Only," and the "No Cash Back" notice is posted much smaller underneath. I was in a rush and only noticed the larger "Debit/Credit Only" sign. I made my purchase specifically to get cash back, so when I realized I couldn't, I asked to return the item. When an employee came over, I explained what happened. She asked if I had the physical card (which I did), but instead of simply helping me, she read the sign out loud to me in a very rude and condescending tone, as if I didn't know how to read. Yes, it was a simple mistake on my end but there's a respectful way to speak to customers, and that wasn't it. I had planned to purchase something else to get cash back, but after that interaction, I decided to return the item and leave. I ended up going to Walgreens instead. Mixed review on the staff. This was after 8 pm and I was in a panic. My doctor was on hold with the pharmacist for 20 minutes. When I arrived, they claimed my doctor had not called them. I was speaking to my doctor on my phone and handed my phone to the pharmacist and said, "My doctor wants to speak to you." The pharmacist said, "He has to call our store." I told him my doctor had been on hold and he just shrugged and said he would get to it as soon as possible. One girl who helped me was very kind and attentive. The others, not so much. I saw one female staff member toss a filled prescription package toward the basket for filled prescriptions. The package missed the basket, dropped down and landed on the table below. I heard my name being called and the nice female said she had only one medication, not two. Then the other female who threw the medication said "I just filled it." The nice girl walked over, found the filled prescription that had landed no where near the basket, picked it up and processed my purchase. read more

I used to use them but since i had a knee surgery i was prescribed Perocet and needed an early refill due to the pain. My pain management has approved it. Ken is one of the pharmacist and now has declined my narcotic refills. It feels like I have been blacklisted like some kind of drug seeker. Mark the manager is rude. I needed an item that was not on shelves and without a word he went in back, and again without a word handed me one, I smiled and said actually I need two and he shoved the second one at me. Worst service I've experienced at a pharmacy. I waited in a long line, only to be told at the counter that they were closed for lunch. This is the second time I've waited and left without my prescription. The response was simply, "Sorry, there's nothing I can do," delivered without any effort to help or apologize. I would give their phone system a zero if I could. Their previous phone system was fine. I have no idea why they changed it, but what a joke. I called Saturday 5 times. I would follow the prompt, but the voice on the other end couldn't pick up anything I was saying. Damn, it was so frustrating. My husband called the store mgr, but she says there was nothing she could do. Even my husband called the pharmacy, and he tried to get the prescription filled. I have visited this pharmacy twice so far, once to drop off and once to pick up . I have had 2 good experiences. I switched from a different cvs and asked to have my prescriptions transferred here. It was very convenient because all my information, including insurance, etc., is in a database available to all cvs stores, so dropping off was as easy as if I had not changed stores at all. When dropping off, the pharmacist was expedient, kind, patient and knowledgeable. There was no hick up at all. My prescriptions were ready the same day. I received a text at that time. I waited a few days (today) to pick them up. They were ready as promised. Today, the pharmacist was equally competent. I received a coupon "bonus bucks" with my prescriptions that I used towards the purchase of some Christmas decor inside the store! This store also has a drive up I might try next time. Photo Center Placed an order online for in store pick up. When I picked it up, the photo inside was not my family... they couldn't reissue or resubmit my order so told me to redo it online. The next day I receive an automated call saying my order was ready. I called in and spoke with Fred. He said it was ready but I asked if he could open it to see if it was my photo. Again, it wasn't my family. Fred had me resubmit my order and called me when it was ready. He made sure it was no charge. I ordered a first set of photo prints & received an email 20 mins later that it was ready. Several hours later, I realized that I forgot to add one photo, so I ordered another single print. I went to the store 1.5 hours later (after the email confirmation estimated time) & it wasn't ready. I understand that I didn't receive a text/email that it was ready -- However, I have been to other CVS' that had my prints ready although I didn't receive the text/email confirmation. I asked the staff how long it would take, as I'm not in the area & figure I might wait, & she replied a time 3 hours later. I was very DISAPPOINTED she could not accommodate ONE single print as a COURTESY. I informed her to cancel it, but of course I still received that email that it was ready (over 3hrs later). I had the pleasure of dealing with Amy the pharmacy technician today and she was a little short with me cuz she have to do extra work when I asked for a list of medication for my father that they recently acquired from a different pharmacy that closed down. Some medication needs new authorization so I had asked her which ones so I can take care of it and I guess she didnt want to run it and see which ones do she told me I'll be right back, but when she did, she completely ignored me and started taking care of someone else, since it was an elderly lady, I didnt mind, I would of let her cut in line anyway, but she she started taking other costume and completely ignoring me, that's when I now decide I will take my fathers RX somewhere else for next month. Horrible customer service from a manager! Came in at Maida 220 pm on October 12 2019. 1st time seeing her by the way. I purchased a few items and was not asked if I would like a bag. After the transaction was completed and paid for I ask this manager for a paper bag. She tells me its 10 cents! I usually dont get charge for a small paper bag. I figured she would let it slide since she didn't offer 1 with the transaction. Instead states to me its 10 cents for any bag and its state law. I'm like I just spent 60 bucks here and you fight over 10 cents? I have been coming to this location for 10 years and a resident of west covina for 20 I have never seen such a disregard for customer satisfaction and service. Corporate please pay attention to managers like this. She is going to cost you more than 10 cents. Besides all this once I told her other managers at the location have actually not charged me for paper bags. She tells me shes gonna rat them out. What a piece of work! This place is pure utter trash. I'm moving my prescription ordering to rite aid ( which are way more affordable now) a young read headed pharmacy tech helped me the other day and gave me an attitude . Don't these pharmacy techs now they are more than replaceable ??? You can get these guys a dime a dozen from Jimmy jack schools like UTI.. The CVS on Arrow HWY is more helpful Only thing she could really handle is a hot dog sideways .She kept asking me for my jnfo which she already had . Way beyond inefficient . I used to come here for years to get beer, ice cream, and other necessities . I know a few pharmacy mangers and I hear how these techs can't cut it in a real college. Their Pharmacy seems to always have my Meds ready when I either request a pick-up and gladly arrange for them to be delivered if I so chose. They've always helped me out in a pinch when and if I run out of my Meds and readily supply my last minute request for a refill. Bravo! read more
