I had a really disappointing experience at this CVS pharmacy today. My prescription was not ready for pickup yet however the CVS app showed that it was still being "worked on." I simply wanted clarification on whether it was likely to be ready within the next few days or if I needed to contact my prescriber. Unfortunately, the pharmacy technician with the bad bleach job I spoke with was extremely rude and dismissive. She repeatedly talked over me while I was trying to explain my question, which made it very difficult to even get a simple answer. I wasn't upset about having to wait, I just wanted to understand the status of my prescription and what I needed to do next. As someone who use to work at a CVS pharmacy, I understand that pharmacies can be busy and stressful. However, customers should still be treated with basic courtesy and respect. I went to cvs and bought 2 things. Of which one item had a coupon however it didn't apply. So a few days later I went in to ask if maybe someone can explain the receipt. I didn't get the lady's name there but I did my math and then she said "well I don't do math" then proceeded to say "we just go off what the registers say" "you must've not got the item when it was on sale" " you didn't input your membership number" she was totally dismissive about my situation. She then does her math but was calculating with the original price. Well she's right about one thing, she doesn't do math. Look it wasn't even about the extra charge at this point it was the horrible customer service. If your systems aren't calculating right then u guys could be over charging ppl everyday. May 2024 I went to this CVS wanting to buy an iron supplement but knowing very little about them. Suzanne greeted me right away and actually walked me to the correct section! Then, after explaining that she is not a doctor and cannot give medical advice (standard procedure, I'm sure), she was kind enough to share her personal experience with several of the supplements! Once I reached the checkout line, I saw her helping out at the cash registers. When she saw me at the self-checkout machine though, she came over and asked me if I had any questions. What service! I will be back! August 2024 I again went to this CVS looking for cough medicine this time. I bought a slightly different product than usual and needed to exchange the item for the correct one. Lincoln recognized me from the earlier purchase. When I told him I needed to exchange the item, he immediately went to the section and pulled out the product I wanted. That is service! This CVS pharmacy is the worst. I've been to several other CVS pharmacies, but legitimately this is the worst one. They will BOMBARD you with automated phone calls. I had to ask them 2x to stop calling me and send me texts. They say they can not do that. Other CVS pharmacies can do it, but this one can't. I called in a refill on my prescription on a Sunday at 1pm. The automated system told me to come after 4 pm. I came at 4:15pm and they tell me that they didn't fill it. They told me to hang around the store so they can refill it. After 15 min, I got called on the intercom; then they tell me that they don't have my medication in stock! Why did I wait 3 hours, come into the store, and waited for my prescription to get nothing? This time, when it's truly relevant, why didn't they call me? They told me to come back Tuesday. I told them I have no more medicine. I need that prescription today. They called another pharmacy and transferred my prescription. Now I have to rush to another pharmacy (since they close at 6pm on Sunday) and wait again for them to fill it. When I complained that they legitimately wasted my time, they told me that they are not "responsible for the automated system." They pretend that the automated system is not their responsibility. They don't take any accountability because "it's the automated system that messed up". How is the automated system not part of their business? If it does not work, it is their responsibility to fix it and account for it's discrepancies. I asked them, if the automated system does not work, why even have it? He said "I don't know." Moron. This CVS pharmacy is GARBAGE. Go to any other CVS pharmacy. They are not all wonderful, but at least they aren't completely INCOMPETENT like this one. read more

My mother needed her blood pressure meds ASAP, so she called the pharmacy in the afternoon of Friday, October 30th. The female pharmacist/tech who picked up the phone was rude from the moment she answered. Before my mother even had a chance to introduce herself, the lady immediately told her that her medication wasn't available for pickup for another week -- and immediately hung up the phone. My mom called again later that day and a male pharmacist/tech answered the phone. He said that they have been available for pickup. My mother suffers from severe hypertension and this kind of terrible customer service could have put my mom at extreme risk. I hope that female pharmacist/tech faces consequences! P.S. We picked up the meds yesterday and noticed that the prescription stated that the next refill would be a year from now, when it's typically every 3 months. Ridiculous. read more

Worst pharmacy to have your necessary medication filled. Management and clerks will not help you if they need to check with your doctors office. They are inconsiderate to your needs. Walmart Baldwin park has a pharmacy and they are helpful and do not give you a difficult time to receive and fill your prescription. Also per my experience... Now I know why they have 2 stars. Doctor called in a prescription and was told by the pharmacist that it would be ready in an hour. I come by 2 hours later (assuming they are busy because of the time of the year) and they are barely submitting my order when I show up. Vivianna (the clerk helping me) doesn't seem to pleased when I ask why it was barely be submitted. Keep in mind when I arrive there was no line or anyone waiting. I recently changed my pharmacy to CVS. I had only good experience so far. First, it was very easy to do. Second, they had all the drugs that doctors prescribed. Third, they were very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Forth, they were polite and very welcoming. The store was very nice and easy to find items. The adds were at the entrance and the special prices were clearly marked. Pros: Easily accessible, professional, friendly, and informative pharmacists. Clear signs to indicate where everything is or where to go. Large space and chairs in the waiting area. Cons: Can't think of any. read more

This isn't the greatest CVS I have been to, but it's not bad at all. Customer service is good. I'm usually greeted with a smile. I just moved in the area about a year an half ago. I found this CVS last year. I been going back since then. Most of the staffs are very helpful except one, his name is Luke (kinda young). He was nice at beginning but I hope this come up to management whoever train the staff make sure they train with better accurate info. The story was I have two insurance. Usually one insurance covered medication and labs test, second one my specialist. When I came in i told him make sure insurance that covered med and I showed him. When the medicine came out, the cost way more than what paid from the last time. I do understand if it different med I have to pay higher or diff generic brand they don't cover. I asked him is it the insurance I showed him he said Yes! The first mistaken answer he gave me. I trusted him than I left. I went in the car the receipt stated the other insurance that he put in instead. The point is I rather he go check at that time so I don't waste my time, second he said my first insurance not working. He give me the assume answers without confirm his answer with someone who know the answer. I am grateful for this place but again "do not give wrong answer because you are lazy to go confirm". I like this CVS so much that I still use them after moving a few miles away. The pharmacy has always been quick, friendly, and professional. The pharmacists I've gotten in-person and on the phone always seem like they actually care about what you need. Plus the booze here is cheaper than the other locations closer to me. ;) An employee from one of those locations actually told us they go to *this* CVS for their alcohol, too. It's a pretty small location, unfortunately, and it's a little sad-looking inside comparatively, so I feel like I can't 5-star it as a whole. I work in a hospital and know a thing or two. I faxed my prescription few hours early just so I don't need to wait in the long and slow line. I even asked them prior to faxing if that was ok. I've already had an account with them. It's not even like it was a narcotic. It was just antibiotics. After 12hrs of work I arrived to CVS and guess what? I went in a few days ago to drop off a prescription and waited 45 mins in line to simply drop off a prescription. Yes,you read that correctly, 45 MINUTES! Dropped off prescription on Thursday, they said they needed to call the surgeons office to confirm pain medication. Came back Sunday, they said they called the doctors office and they had left a voicemail. Called today to have them say they didn't hear back from the surgeons office so I just ended up calling myself and the assistant said she had no voicemails from them and that she will call the pharmacy to confirm the pain medication prescription. Idk why I was so hard to get this taken care of in their end, even after telling them that it was needed before Friday since that's when the surgery will take place. read more

I came in here December 2014 in the morning to develop some pictures of my father who passed away a week before that. I came in talking on my cell phone discussing funeral arrangements with my mom. I was grabbing a few things and I grabbed a basket. I went to the kiosk and the piece of shit wasn't working. So I asked the cashier who btw was full of hickeys to help me. She came off really rude and I felt really weird I like sort of intimidated. I was waiting for the kiosk to restart while talking to my mom on the phone and two west covina cops came up behind me. They told me that they had been called because they saw me put stuff in my purse. I got so pissed off to the point that I started crying. I told the cops that why would I steal if I had money and I had things in my basket. They searched my bag and of course found nothing. The cops apologized and left. I went up to the manager which happened to be around her 20s and told her that she needed to give me the info to the district manager. She gave me the number and did not even once apologize to me District manager called me apologized 20 times and told me he would send me a gift card of $40 ... what a joke. It's been 4 months and still no gift card. Now every time I go to a CVS I get paranoid that what I experienced would happen again. read more
