Well since I waited 2.5 hours at another CVS & they didn't mix the prescription properly, I returned to a second CVS, that pharmacist agreed it didn't mix properly but he could only refer me to a third CVS which landed me at 5408 YVR. Luckily for us Al, the pharmacist listened to us, called & obtained original script, filled it immediately & even presented it to us with a smile. Thank you Al, for being good at what you do! My husband and I are very grateful that we have a new Pharmacy that listens & provides excellent service. read more

This review is to compliment exceptional customer service in the photo dept. I ordered some reprints, and when I got home discovered they had only printed 10, not the 20 copies I needed. I called the store, and was told they would be ready ASAP. When picking up the extras, I was given a $15 Starbucks card as an apology! NICE!!! read more

I decided to write a review so folks will be able to make an educated decision when selecting a service provider. Typical photo printing I believe is fine. This is the second time I've had calendars printed. The first time was years ago and the quality was quite good -- on good card stock so the calendar can be hung. This time I had calendars printed, the photo quality was quite good but the paper was like a magazine cover -- not stiff and not strong enough to hang without using clips or some reinforcement which defeats the purpose of a wall calendar. I've experienced much better quality from Costco. The best part about CVS' photo services are that they do provide express service so you need to wait for shipment. But now I know that one foregoes quality for the convenience of express service. The staff is very helpful and friendly so no reflection on them. read more

This pharmacy is horrid. Consistently late by 20 minutes minimum despite having a full hour to prepare common prescriptions. I always dread having to go there and wish there was a better alternative. In addition to being late they also regularly do not have prescriptions / lose them when they are sent in from doctor offices. read more

This pharmacy is SLOW as a dead snail. Be ready to stand in line for 40 mins just to pick up a prescription during NON-rush hour times. It's 145 pm and with only 3 people in front of me, I have been waiting 30 minutes. When I asked to have a prescription transferred last week, the cashier seemed upset that I was having her do this extra work. She said calling other pharmacies means waiting on hold for over 30 minutes (I was thinking, no, I've had rx transfers done in two minutes before but why is this my problem anyways? It's your job!) Advice, go to the CVS on Clayton. This one sucks. read more

i ran into cvs yesterday on my lunch break for a bottle of water. when i got to the checkout i was "greeted" by a very rude cashier who proceeded to rush me through my entire transaction, rudely directing me very quickly through the steps of the pin pad. i certainly did not like being rushed through the line like we were running a marathon. so i called the store to complain and the manager on duty didnt even care! she told me she rushed me because there was a line. i said she could have called a second checker and the manager told me there was no one else there! i know for a fact that managers have the ability to work a freakin cash register. it was absolutely ridiculous and although it was just a bottle of water, they should have been happy i even spent money there at all. read more

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE IN PHARMACY! 1. Medicine not filled in a timely matter 2. Problems are NOT RESOLVED or COMMUNICATED to other staff members. So if someone is scheduled off for a couple of days or is going on vacation, - GOOD LUCK IN GETTING YOUR MEDICATION ORDER CORRECT! 3. If you call, they ask you "if they can put you on hold?" but fail to wait for an answer and put you on hold ANYWAY! OR THEY DISCONNECT YOU! Also, plan on washing your car, preparing your dinner, EATING your dinner and putting away your dishes before they get back to. you. 4.Certain pharmacy staff are EXTREMELY difficult to understand on phone or in person and interrupt with THEIR perception of the problem before you can finish a sentence; making you repeat SEVERAL TIMES what your needs really are. 5.Tried to speak to store manager about concerns but he had left for the day. Spoke to night manager, (after a very long phone pause),he was apologetic but really didn't offer any concrete resolution to the problems address. ALSO, HE WAS GOING TO OFF FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AND SUGGESTED THAT I CALL BACK TOMORROW. ONE STAR IS TOO MANY FOR THIS STORE & PHARMACY! This CVS seriously sucks. ALL employees I see are ALWAYS grumpy. The cashiers "greet" you bc it's part of their job, but it comes off so morbid and robotic. I asked a question to an employee on the floor, the employee sees me and literally walks away, and gives me attitude for my simple question. Now, to top it off, there is what I believe a new employee at the register. He acts completely drugged out. He asks every customer five times if the want a bag. Then asks them if they would like to donate to the current donation. When the customer replied, "No" he said, "Ok, maybe tomorrow?" He then asks them if they want a receipt. When they reply, "No" he says, "YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT." The woman with the baby ran out very scared. Then why ask they want it? After every transaction, he says "Have a nice life." OMG. REALLY? That's it! We are finally leaving this lying, cowardly, spineless bunch of useless morons. Any of the pharmacists who have had any common sense, decency or scruples, have moved on. Oh, they could also speak English very well and understood courtesy, as well. So, now they are all a bunch of "Janes." Anyone who fills their prescriptions here, knows what I mean! Jane: Rude, overbearing, doesn't listen, like talking to a wall that only shouts out, assumption specialist. The rest are liars or lip service specialists, who tell you what you want to hear, but make sure they are gone, when you come back or call back, only to find out they haven't done crap, so you can yell at someone else, because they didn't do their job! Automatic Refills: The auto robot that calls you to let you know there is a prescription that needs to be refilled, but when you call to speak to someone, all they can tell you is that it cannot be refilled until a certain date. What's the point? Calling in a prescription that needs a call to the doctor: Good luck! They will tell you they tried to call the doctor, but never heard back. Usually another lie. Your doc calls, faxes or electronically orders your prescription: CVS claims they never received the order, but by the time you get home, their robot dialed your home phone and says your prescription is ready, though you told CVS never to call that number and have given them your cell number at least ten times. Hmmm... The list goes on and on and just gets longer and longer... GOODBYE CVS ON YGNACIO VLY. ROAD!! April 12, 2017: Well, I have to say, this CVS has pharmacy has improved tremendously over the past year! While some of the annoyances are still in place, which have more to do with policy and not with personnel, the overall changes are wonderful. Now that someone "cleaned house" in the pharmacy, i.e. the infamous "Jane" is now gone, not to mention others who just didn't get it or want to even try and the poor pharmacists who got burned out from trying to manage the inept staff, it's such a more pleasant place to do business. I have to hand it to the new managing pharmacist, Courtney. She knows how to treat customers and explain, when something goes wrong, so everyone involved can do their part to prevent mishaps going forward. She is a "local" and it shows. I'm sure our neighborhood appreciates the experience much more than in the past! I don't know everyone in the dept., but another new pharmacist, Drew, is always pleasant and tries his best to make customer's experience better. He is another local and identifies with many of the customers. It's nice to see someone who went to a local (private) school and was able to come "home" from college and work locally. I know I'd certainly appreciate that, if I had gone away to school and wished to come back and have a good job! When I decided to update my review, I noticed that the most recent one was from several months ago, in 2016, when the comment was made about not understanding why people had so many complaints. Most of the complaints are from 2015 and prior. So, you can see the number of complaints has diminished greatly, starting in 2016, when Courtney and new staff came on board! I doubt she received any recognition from CVS corporate management, but hopefully she has received many nice compliments from us customers who can appreciate her and those who really make an effort to help us, rather than throw their arms up and yell in a "foreign tongue." I think this is a really pretty good CVS pharmacy. Not sure why people are complaining about this location. They do have a drive thru pick up for the pharmacy. If I ever have had a problem at this location finding something they have always been helpful. read more

I don't know what is going on here. The place is centrally located, and clean and newer, but the Rx staff is horrendous. Examples: I came in last Fall for flu shot, and asked if now was a good time (it was a Monday morning) they said yes, no more than 10 minute wait. I was the only person waiting for a shot, but the pharmacist was filling orders. No problem. Over an hour later, I was still waiting, and every time I checked back in with them, and offered to come back later, they said they had already run it thru my insurance and it needed to be today. When he came to give me the shot, he was so rude. Whatever, not the end of the world. But every time I've had Rx to refill there, which is once a month, I see them being less than kind to a lot of seniors, and most of the time my Rx isn't ready, even tho it is on auto-refill. The last straw was when I was having surgery recently and I had all of my Rx's to fill before hand. I went in on a Monday and dropped the orders off. I told them I could see that they were busy, and I'd come back the next day to get them. I didn't need to do that, but I thought it was nice, as I really didn't need them immediately. When I returned the next day, they hadn't touched my order yet (this was late in the day, too!) and the gal said the pharmacist was getting ready to take his break, could I come back tomorrow. I said I'd already "come back tomorrow" and I'd like to wait. So, 30 minutes later, I get called up to the counter, and what do you know? They don't have one of the items, it has to be ordered, it will be there the next day. Now, had they even looked at my orders the day before when I dropped them off, they could have handled it then. So, I told them I was disappointed, but I'd be back the next day, what time should I come, so I am not left waiting again? They said "anytime after noon". I arrived at 3pm the next day. The counter clerk said the meds had come in, but the pharmacist hadn't filled the Rx yet, and that he was in the back on a break. I reminded her of the whole story, and that this was the 3rd day I'd been in to get these simple items and I'd like him to come off break and fill my Rx. I told her also how patient I'd been every other time I'd been there over the past year, but that my patience was exhausted now. I was quiet and respectful, but another woman heard me and started telling me how awful they are to her (she was elderly). Eventually, pharmacist came out and filled my Rx. I then moved my existing Rx's to Safeway across the street. Enough is enough. I don't know if he's over worked and understaffed, just unorganized or what, but that's up to him to figure out. read more

So, I've been a long time CVS shopper in several cities in the US, using their pharmacy to replace two medications that I have been on for over 10 years. I recently moved to the area and transferred both prescriptions to this location. This will be the last time I go there, as they are totally inept on so many levels that I'm considering changing to Walgreens across the street and give them my business. So tired of this place. The Pharmacy technician Jane in particular is a real case study. She barely speaks English, but she doesn't have any trouble YELLING out for all to hear that my insurance wasn't covering a prescription. This woman has no class at all. If she is going to work in Pharmacy area, she needs to keep her voice down and not be belligerent with the customers. A little sensitivity training is in order for Jane. I refuse to go back as long as she is in that store. The Pharmacist was also not a lot of help and he looked like he just graduated from high school. I've already spoken with the manager about the bad service I received including one technician that was making the determination that I wouldn't want to pay for a medication if it wasn't on my insurance, so he just decided not to make a call to me and let me decide if I wanted to pay or not. This was totally unacceptable. I've given them a few chances, but this is the straw that broke the camel's back. I'm looking for a new place to pick up my drugs. Pity, as the nice thing about the store is it is within walking distance of where I live. Not worth it. I'll drive and get what should be a simple transaction (refill) from a much more competent Pharmacy staff. read more

SUSAN IS EXTREMELY RUDE!! Came in for a few things, that were advertised. After transaction I noticed I was not given the sale price. When I asked her about it she snickered off and scanned it at another. Came back and confirmed they were still on sale and did not honor it! To advoid conflict, I just left. So I always have an absolute terrible time when dealing with this pharmacy. They mess something up EVERY.SINGLE. TIME! And most of the workers are absolutely rude and act like they completely hate their job, which is why this pharmacy deserves a one. However, I put five stars because I finally dealt with the only nice pharmacist worker they have, I believe her name is Tiffanie! She was so kind and helpful, if they were all like her I would love going to that pharmacy. She is the only redeeming quality about that place! read more

I walked in to get cash back and make a purchase. An elderly cashier with dyed short raspberry red hair was working the register I asked very politely if they did cash back where you can enter the other option. She very rudely and arrogantly responded to me like I should know how their system works that they didn't. She then said luckies did that but they don't do that and expected me to know that cvs and luckies are the same company. I then asked if there was other places she knew of and she rudely pointed to atms in area implying I should leave and I was wasting her precious time. I a person with a disability wanted to be able to get cash back of 5 dollars and not 10. Also knowing it was a national bank holiday she suggested banks that are normally closed. A customer came up to her line and she angry sighed and was implying I should leave. Like it was such a burden placed upon her to answer a question for a person with a learning disability a simple question with a friendly smile. I went to kmart and they very openly and kindly helped me there. This store should take more pride in hiring employees that care more for their job and less about their precious time. Especially if they a corporation that prides themselves on customers their come first policy which they didn't in this very simple case of a question and a rude responder. read more
