This CVS is easily the best pharmacy in Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, and Sunset Park. It's always well-stocked, lines are short, and service is consistently solid. I was so surprised to see the negative reviews. Then I read through them and realized that many of them are from over 5 years ago. I love this CVS. The employees at the front register are extremely nice and helpful. The manager, Tom, seems to be there everyday and is always more than happy to help. The store is neat and clean. Plus, being an Extra care Member saves me money. read more

This cvs pharmacy is terrible. For whatever reason, they can never get the prescriptions correct, there's always some kind of problem, and the line for the pharmacy is always very long. Once they gave me the wrong dosage, and another time filled the same prescription twice accidentally, but you have to be so on top of it. It's unlike any other cvs pharmacy experience I've ever had, but they are closest to me right now so I just make sure to check things diligently. No Rating. Very bad service at the Pharmacy. Waiting for help to pick up my prescription, the person behind the pharmacy counter allowed another customer to be served over me. I do understand being a person of another color is a concern to some and the feeling that I should have to allow them to go before me, even though I was there first is really disconcerting and needless to say puts CVS in a bad legal light. read more

Just literally a 5 minute walk from my door to this CVS. I love CVS more than any other pharmacies for a number of reasons. #1. Weekly sales, coupons printed on your reciept and at the kiosk. #2. CVS bucks. #3. Opens early and closes late 7am-10pm. #4. Extra 15%, 20%, sometimes even 30% off mailers. #5. Longer pharmacy hours even opened on Sunday, with experienced pharmacy staff. #6. Clean and organized. The only bad thing is, usually by mid week shelves needs to be restocked, almost in every aisle there is an empty shelf. They also recently switched in a new bunch of employees and the older ones I always see are now in a higher level position, which is great because I always get exceptional service and help from those that are still here! read more

Stopped in to pick up a few items while we were visiting. It's a bit disorganized and employees don't acknowledge customers. We went up to the counter and a lady was there, but she didn't say anything and left and then we realized we had to go to self checkout. Would have been nice if she informed us. read more

You will need a compass, a weeks worth of rations and a Sherpa to make it out of this CVS alive. Oh and possibly a bullet proof vest as there's a gun range in the basement. Worst CVS EVER! Aisles and products blocked with totes and totes of incoming products in the middle of the day. What's that you say? Oh you are unable to obtain your favorite shampoo because there's a stack of totes six feet tall in front of it? You are out of luck buster. Prior to the self check out machines you would wait on line endlessly with the ever-so-helpful (that's sarcasm, mind you) manager-lady with the braids. She just moseys along like we have all the time in the world. If you require something that requires her to move out from behind her beloved photomat counter, you will get the eyeroll and the lip smack. Do it, I dare you. Now with self check out, you actually might have a chance. That is if they are working properly, which in most cases they are not. And god help you if you need to purchase something that requires a human, such as a gift card or cigarettes. I have simply walked out of this store on multiple occasions out of complete frustration. The fact that there is a gun range downstairs doesn't bother me in the least. Sometimes I almost hope that a bullet accidentally shoots through the floor into my chin and out through the back of my skull. I guess that just about says it all about this CVS, huh? read more

These folks at the pharmacy do not answer the phone for upwards of 45 minutes and even more. I once called and wanted to see how long they would disregard my call - or perhaps it was just were plain incompetence - after an hour and a half, you guessed it, they still didn't pick up. This is a regular occurrence when I check on the status of a prescription once a month. These guys are pretty pathetic with customer service on the phones. May be someone in the CVS management will see this review and see what the story is on this issue. read more

I used to love this pharmacy. Been going there since around 2010 when I first moved to the area. Even after moving to 4th Ave, I kept it because it's the closest CVS and I like visiting FHP often. Note: I mostly only use their pharmacy and the beauty aisle. For make up, they often manage to be stocked up on the products I can't find elsewhere so that's good. But the pharmacy is absolute ass. No one answers the phone. You'll spend all day waiting. If they do pick up, they just hang up on you. They don't fill my entire prescription if it isn't completely sent through electronically. One of my doctors says their prescriptions are sent electronically but end up in their fax machine and those never get filled. I've even explicitly asked, "could you check the fax machine?" and they just shake their head and say the prescription never came. I once spent over an hour waiting around, just to leave frustratedly, and my prescription ended up getting filled about an hour later. It's always incredibly busy there, which makes it annoying on days like that because I live about a 30 min. walk away. They don't offer me delivery anymore and don't give an explanation when I ask why. Im not sure when it happened but they no longer have a specific magazine section?? This CVS is really messy most of the time and the sale items are never that great. When you walk in you just feel really u comfortable because everything is all over the places. They sell ice!!! You do get discounts if you sign up for their rewards program where you can come in and scan your card at the coupon machine, and the machine will give you all the available coupons for your use. From time to time they will have good coupons like take $5 off your purchase of $20. read more

CVS, the chain, offers many good values for the discerning shopper. In the suburbs, it also offers a clean a pleasant shopping experience with (occasionally) a competent store clerk. Not here in Dyker Heights. Some of the staff are friendly and helpful, others are just warm bodies. The best thing about this store is that it is adjacent to the wondrous Great Wall Supermarket, which has an astounding selection of fruits and vegetables at great prices. read more

It's a convenient store to get your shampoo, beauty products, snacks, toilet paper, bounty sheets, and stuff you use everyday. Although most of the time the machines are a little "derpy" it's still manageable. Sometimes it's hard to locate stuff even though you're looking through and peeking at the signs, but most of the time even though they may not have what you want, you get something similar. However, I do not recommend Nads waxing strips. Whenever there's a sale on toilet paper, yes, I admit I raid it. Sometimes when you insert a $50 bill into the machine, it will say system processing repeatedly. Then followed by a worker to "help" you. Oh and some of their CVS owned products will not satisfy your needs, but sometimes it's better off to get the real brand (such as the CVS branded generic gummy fish). read more

While the staff is very friendly and helpful, the place is a mess, no organization, messy shelves, dirty and boxes of unpacked items clogging the aisles, items on the floor, stuff just scattered all over the place. Could've sworn I already reviewed this CVS before since I've been coming here for close to 10 years. But alas, I was mistaken. It's a CVS. Not the best one, and not the worst one. If you have CVS discounts, then that's really the best reason to come here vs. the Rite Aid a few blocks away. Or I guess if you like generic CVS products more. Lines are usually not terrible, but noticeable. They also have a pharmacy in the back, and a photo center in the front. Enjoy your super long receipts! read more

This CVS is always a mess. The pharmacy always has a LONG wait whether it's a pick-up or drop-off. The pharmacist (Asian pharmacist... I think her name is Lin or something like that) is very nasty and not helpful at all. I needed 3 months supply of my medication and she pretty much told me she can't help me because my insurance wouldn't allow the 3 months supply. Guess what... I went to Walgreen and the pharmacist there was able to contact my insurance and they were able to give me my 3 months supply. I would never go back to this CVS location! read more

This pharmacy was cool untill the Chinese people started coming here. They use to go to rite aid on 65 st but now they discovered this pharmacy and it's been a mess ever since. It's chaotic people stepping on each other nobody moves when you say excuse me. It makes it difficult to shop. The snack selection still beats rite Aid but rite Aid on 65 st is way more organized. read more

This particular CVS has went through some changes over the last few years. Sometimes it can be a little messy concerning the organization for the products on the shelves. I come here once in a blue moon to catch some of the best deals on certain products. On one corner, it does fasten the lines when they replaced one-on-one service from cashier register to their touchscreen self check-out machines, but sometimes the machines are just not adequate enough to process certain transactions thoroughly. Sometimes the sensors from the machine read you wrong, and you end up getting the annoying "please wait..." logo. You wouldn't have to deal with such error if you're dealing with a real life worker. When you do accidentally come to an error with the self checkout machine, you'd have to wait for a CVS worker to further help you (which is just a swipe of their worker's card). I find it really inconsistent with those useless machines. This store isn't anything spectacular. You'd probably have a better chance of getting much better service across the street at the bodega. This is my go to CVS and the reason is customer service. If I ever need an item that may be out of stock I speak to the manager and he orders it. I think this store is very well run by Mike the store manager and you can recognize him very easily, hes the one greeting customers with a smile right when you enter. And if you ever have an issue with a coupon he and his staff are there to help with it. read more

Used to be a regular customer, now I'm disgusted by the place. Staff have always been very nice, but the place is a mess. Some people just open products and leave a mess. Some of them will even use the products RIGHT THERE. Slobs bring in their dogs and just walk around which is against the law and yet the staff does/says nothing. Sometimes, the customers *aren't* always right. When you have pigs opening up nail polish and actually painting their toes right there, it's time to put your foot down... no pun intended.
