I went to buy some sanitizer and wipes after seeing a FB post stating that they had a new shipment coming in. They were charging a 300+% brand mark up on generic and ineffective sanitizer. I ended up buying just one because I was asked to do so by a friend. They did not scan in the items I wished to purchase and they did not provide a receipt. When I tried confronting them about the markup, they claimed that it was less than what the supplier charged. They added that no one forced me to buy anything and that this was how supply and demand worked. I had actually frequented this pharmacy a few times since it opened (even though there's a RiteAid half a block away) because I prefer to support local businesses. But from now on, I'm sticking to RiteAid. read more

Ill get right to it. Do not go here unless you like to be robbed. And yes I get it their arab speaking so they "cater" to the community buy giving out bottles of honey as they rob you doesn't justify thievery. Here is how they treat their customers. You come in for a prescription. They say they have it but their reimbursement is low and they have to calculate their dividends what ever the Ruck that means. So they will fill your prescription, charge you and charge the insurance company as well. When I called my insurance company they told me Nile was in network..meaning that thy agree to the payment Medicaid/HMO will pay. Their not suppose to charge 10 dollars for medication that cost roughly the same price. My insurance company told me my co payment was 81CENTS not 10 friggen dollars. And then when thet get caught in a lie the all run to the back like roaches when you turn the lights on. The insurance representative heard the whole convo and turns out NYS would call that Medicaid Fraud. But the honey free calendars are a nice touch :). And after I asked for name they refused. After I asked for pic they refused. Then closed the gate down immediately. Harami even in the holy month... 6922 4th Ave and 6924 4th Ave...Umm just go to rite aid. This is the best pharmacy in my immediate neighborhood. Ironically, I was sent to this pharmacy by the pharmacy down the street. My old pharmacy was chaotic. (I didn't review them because I liked them so much). This pharmacy refills my prescriptions and calls me when they are ready. The owner and everyone who works here are exceedingly kind. My previous pharmacy I'm not going to mention the name however they are near here. So many little annoyances. First my husband change I was it's ok I don't have to leave just because he did the lady usually who greets us so customer friendly and the one in the back (oh no she's no longer here) ignore the others. Ignore the little things they had a bad day. The last straw that broke the camels back. I had forgotten I ran out of my medicine. I called them verified that they had the medicine and they would be open. I asked ok so since you opened and you have the medicine I can come now to get. I get their and what happens. First I have to wait as expected then they say we don't have one of the medicines. I said why didn't he say that when I called, ok fine nevermind which one fine just give me the other ones. Then they say oh we have to deliver to you we have to order. I was like are you serious then why did he say I could come suppose I lived far away not my fault he doesn't know English (not nice of me I say it when there's a miss understanding between clear verbiage with one changing what was said). Then I said don't fill it I'm changing pharmacies. This is like night and day. Everyone I spoke to in person and over the phone. First I went in hoping I could easily switch right then and their. Of course had to come from my Doctor. Then I went to my app changed and called them back. They were so accommodating. I went back to the store. Got my record started etc. The atmosphere was like a happy professional place. Everyone acting as if they loved their job, their existence. I felt like I was back home at home in MD where almost everyone in my area not everywhere lol Good (morning, evening...). Beware and hold onto your prescription when you walked into this pharmacy to ask question about availability of certain drug. It's practice is a scam. Yesterday after my usual pharmacy informed me that it didn't have the specific eye drop that my mom needs and her doctor does not want any substitute, I made a mistake and went into this pharmacy to find out if it has that specific eye drop. A man from inside the pharmacy counter talked with me and found out that this was my first prescription with this pharmacy. I told him that my usual pharmacy didn't have the prescribed eye drop and the doctor does not want substitution. He took the prescription and said he would check. He went inside the prescription filling area. He then came out and gave me a box of eye drop and said no charge. I checked the ingredients of the eye drop and noted that it's not the same ingredient or strength ordered by the doctor on the prescription. I told that man that's not the eye drop ordered by the doctor and if they don't have that prescribed eye drop, I need the prescription back. This man and another man from inside the prescription filling area said the eye drop they gave me is same as the one prescribed by the doctor. I told them they are not and read them the ingredients and strength of the eye drop they gave me free of charge and the ingredient and strength of the prescribed eye drop ordered by the doctor. They said they have already "filed" the prescription and therefore can't give it back. Then they gave me an addition box of eye drop. I didn't take either as my mom would have no use of them. It made me wonder how a pharmacy could file a prescription when the prescribed medicine was not available to be filled, and why would a pharmacy/pharmacist substitute something for a prescribed medication without consulting the prescribing doctor. It's fortunate it's an eye drop and not life-saving meds, it could have been disastrous. read more

My dog has been sick with GI issues and the vet recommended Pepcid AC. I first went to Rite Aid and it was a mess and customers were cruel and nasty because of the coronavirus mess going on. I looked and the had nothing and the pharmacist wasn't helpful, so I left. I went across the street to a little pharmacy, which wouldn't let me in without a face mask. I didn't have one so I had to leave, which I'm pretty sure it's illegal to send someone away from a pharmacy. I passed by Nile Pharmacy and it was open and looked clean, so I went in. Right away, some asked if they could help me. The pharmacist explained they didn't have what I was looking for because it had been recalled. He helped me find a no-name brand version and even gave me a free gift when I checked out. THANK YOU! It was a breath of fresh air going into a pharmacy which assisted me and I didn't have to deal with the craziness going on.
