I love the fact that this pharmacy is open 24/7 even on major holidays, but I was disappointed when they had me waiting 40 minutes to tell me that my Rx was not available because they don't have it in stock. They should have checked first to make sure they had it in stock before telling me to wait for 15 minutes for my name to be called on the intercom which they did not or give me the option of going with an alternative medication. Moving forward I will fill all my Rx at AllCare Pharmacy in El Monte. It may not be a 24/7 pharmacy but at least they will not waste my time by telling me if they have the medication in stock. Sorry to leave you CVS for my future Rx. I am giving you 2 stars because I was lucky enough not having to wait in line for more than 10 minutes. read more

i usually don't mind this cvs it WAS my favorite cvs stocking wise. i excuse the long wait time and slow printer but today really did it for me. i had a coupon that i sent to my card and also have a digital print and if you're a long time shopper of cvs like me you know how the coupons work and if they don't scan you can type the barcode for it that's on the coupon. or the coupon code that is also on the digital print the guy refused to take my coupon saying i should have it printed . but i sent it to my card and it disappeared but i have the digital print which is proof it didn't expire yet he still refused to take it the cashier lady next to him told me to print it at cvs and just pay for the print. like maybe she doesn't understand the concept of coupons? lol i'm starting to think maybe it's because they're racist. they're willing to take other ethnicities nonphysical coupons but won't take mine. oh well. i have no problems at the other cvs for taking my digital coupon. because once u use it it invalidates it from being used again anyways (: so welp there goes ur $100 sale read more

This pharmacy CANNOT get its act together! We left them years ago, but now our insurance says we have to use them. Dropped off the information last week to transfer one single prescription. Explained that they'll have to call the doctor to get the updated Rx, that it wasn't a simple transfer. Went in several days later and yup, you guessed it, the update had not been made. They said it would be a few more days. Not only was ours wrong, but the people on both sides of us were complaining that theirs were wrong too. We haven't used this pharmacy in probably 20 years and they STILL suck! Filing a complaint with the insurance company immediately! There must be something else we can do so we aren't forced to deal with this incompetence. read more

This person was legit lecturing me and loudly asking why "Kaiser" had called in my prescription?! One of the few 24 hour pharmacies in the Greater Los Angeles area, and the closest one to Pasadena (then is Monterey park, I believe). Don't be fooled by the fact that most CVS/pharmacies are open 24 hours; that doesn't mean their pharmacy is as well. That's all I wanted to share. Just had the most horrible experience. As my 75 year old mom and I were standing in line, an employee wouldn't stop yelling at us to use the self check out. We thought maybe she was telling us we had to use it because the regular check out wouldn't be able to so we walked up to it. She then started grabbing our items and continued to yell as us about using bags or not. We asked many times for her to step back and keep 6 feet of social distance. She refused more than once and also was taking off her mask to drink from a cup on her hand. I turned to the regular check out cashier and asked her to help us instead since they had prior barriers in place. I had to asked the other employee to leave us alone multiple times until she finally walked away from us. The "self check out" machine is adjacent to the regular check out, with no social distancing barriers. Our cashiers name tag said she was the operating supervisor. After I told her our concerns including caring for a high risk at home person at home with cancer, all she said was that she'll talk to the other employee. read more

Unfortunately I've not had very positive experiences here. I used to go to the CVS in Pasadena and have had no issues. This Arcadia CVS is one to avoid. One trip there took me 1 hour. My recent trip went like this: Pediatrician called in a prescription at 4:30p. I called at 5pm to verify pick up. they said it was in stock and would be dispensed for pick up 2 hours later because they were busy. I went at 10pm and they said the drug was out of stock. Then they realized the tech who entered it in the system made a mistake. It was in stock but would take 10 minutes to dispense. No apologies made even though they admitted error. Unfortunately pharmicists are not business managers. They don't know how to handle complaints and issues that arise. This CVS in general (not just the pharm dept.) is understaffed, inefficient, and quite nonchalant about it. read more

Everybody know that it's take forever for a cashier's at CVS to cash people out ( I strongly believe that it is their up-selling strategy.) and I always expect to wait at least 5 to 10 minutes to shop with them ,but this location take the cake. ( Meaning, they are the worst! ) Cashier are slow as usual but to put icing on the cake, (most but not all of..) their employees always give customer a bad attitude, trying to express their miserable feelings ( indirectly) toward guest/ shopper. Sometime they even argue with customer about a long waiting time etc. " I only have two hands.", Loudly said that " I can only help one customer at a time" ( I over here other guest said they didn't even rush them, why they have to say that?..., When customer request not to get the receipt, some of them will tell customer that" Trash is in the front!"( Which make people feel like they try to tell us to just take it or something along those lines.) These are just some example I experienced/ witnessed. I wish there's a Rite aid or Wall green near me so I can shop there instead. No wonder this place only have two stars. 0/10 wouldn't recommend. EDIT: ADD I just read through other people review to make sure that my review is fair and accurate for them and I came to a realization that this CVS location actually don't give a dam about customer service at all. Chole, the cashier at the front checkout is by far the worst experience I have ever encounter. CVS sent me 25% coupon in the email and usually I sent it to the CVS card. Normally, checkout, the cashier will ask you if one would like to use the available coupon. Laura and Rosie are always very kind and very helpful. This morning, I went in and brought essentials (been going to this CVS since 2004), and here comes the cashier Chole, doing her normal scanning and etc. However, Chole, did not ask me if I like to use my available coupons that are on my CVS card, and went to another register to perform some other duties and told me the amount I need to pay. I've gently reminded her that I have a 25% coupon on my CVS card, Chole proceed to "tap" her keyboard on her register extremely hard. One can see that the register was shaking violently. And then she proceed and said "...anything else?" This person should never be at the register to help anybody, because doing her job bothers her. I have also called the management and complaint about her behavior. There's no need to slam her keyboard so hard in the first place! read more

She was rolling her eyes and glaring at every one of us. As very few people probably would like to work here, they have probably the worst staff who don't know what they are doing. U can easily waiting in the line for 1 HOUR. The pickup queue take an average of 15-20 mins per patient. Drop off is even more painful. If u are a blood pressure patient don't come here as it will elevate ur BP. This is the worst CVS ever in Baldwin. I called to refill my regular prescription through the machine. After 4 days these people managed to lost my order. I spoke to one of the pharmacist the day before, he lied to me on the med saying "Need to wait for another day for the insurance to be approved" so i did. On top of it they tried to blamed on the doctor for only given me 1 time refill. They also dropped me out of auto refill. LOL CVS, this is my reg medicines I have been taking for many years. Yes, they are 24 hours. :o) BUT - ~ sloooooow pharmacy ~ if you have automatic refill, they don't notify you if your prescription/refill was not able to be filled ~ they also don't tell you if the medication is backordered So what happens if your life depends on your medication and it is not filled? AND they don't let you know? Frustrating enough for me when it is just something non life threatening, but what if they hurt or kill someone unintentionally?! This was more like a Mega-CVS, by size and selection of products. They sell a lot of extras, including a lot of medical devices/supplies and a larger food/grocery section than others. There is also a minute clinic for medical assistance. We came for a vaccination and the pharmacy lines were a bit confusing. We were told to go to one line and then told it was the wrong one and then to wait in another. We were then told to sit down in a waiting area for a shot, but that area was not kept well. Chairs were a bit dirty and magazines and food sitting around. The store seemed a bit understaffed, but the staff there seemed to work hard to keep things going. We had an overall pleasant experience. read more

Ehh, two stars is generous enough for this place. I remember once, I came here asking for photo service. My pictures were not printing and the printer broke, so I asked someone to help. She asked another person to help, who, after 20 minutes of futile grappling, finally said with that sort of revelation tone: Oh, the last photo shift person is 9:45! I'm not even photo... Heheheh... OK, so I tried another CVS the next day. This time, I wanted to refund some chocolates. An obese woman with flat black hair and blunt bangs gave me a strange, tight smile and I thought, "Maybe she'd help me." Then from behind the counter, another lady, wearing the same blue CVS employee polo the obese woman was, smiled and said, "I can help you." I stepped forward only to have the obese woman sharply turn around and snap, "EXCUSE me." She turned back and the two women shared a chuckle--I also noticed the cashier roll her eyes. I know she was in line first, but until she changes that polo, customers will definitely regard her as an employee first and consumer second. read more

Worse pharmacy ever! Today was last chance I will ever give this place. I cannot understand why the management cannot figure that they need more staff 24 hour pharmacy. Every every time I come here it is a 30 minute wait just to drop off a prescription. The pickup is even worse. My best time was 25 minutes but on average its 1hr+, usually its best to just come back hours later to save your sanity. To top it off the service is terrible...while I was waiting today in what seemed to be a never ending line, the CVs representative vocalized that she was more interested in taking her lunch then in getting the line down (despite her fellow co worker telling her) but she clearly did not give a s*** by opening her loud mouth in front of a long line customers. She is class act on my past visits and is over- the- top rude to customers. So that little rude piggy basically just set me off to come back later. I call later this afternoon.... 18 minutes to speak to a representative. Wow...I hate this place even more. This is the for the COVid booster and flu vaccinations that this company is administering- This is for this pharmacy and particularly the pharmacy 10/22/2021 staff. This is the first time that I've been really angry for a long time. CVS asked that we make an appointment. We go on a computer answer all these questions and get an appointment time we get off of work early just so that we can make the appointment. We stand in line, Check in do all the bureaucracy that this company and this pharmacy has put in place. We get to the top of the line and what do they say? We don't have any more vaccines oh you had an appointment? We ran out - come back tomorrow. Any company dealing with patient care and people, especially people who have uploaded information into your system should have had a brain and reserved 2 vaccines? What service. What stupid manager and staff don't think about the people they serve- we had to leave our patient care job early and be on time. - we went to another pharmacy- our usual and they had signs on their wall. True handwritten- but, it said we only have ---vaccine left. We are only serving those whom have an appointment- Luckily for us the vaccine they had was the one we needed. We told them our situation and they called up the other pharmacy and did all of the bureaucracy for us- now this is patient care. The prices are really high in this store. Customer service is not good as in the checkers leave you with a bad impression.
